Very smart. Very fair. Helpful
easy class, but he goes too slowly through the chapters, easy to get bored
This class was an enjoyment, the teacher is very helpful and easy to understand.

good guy, sometimes his accent is hard to understand. very detailed so his class can get boring
Cool teacher. Easy exams and group projects. Class gets boring sometimes though.
Hard tests for international business.
he frequently cancels class and is really nice. focus on teh chapter outlines when studyings. tests kind if suck.
Nice teacher. Cancells class all the time
Class content is very easy but Gnepa marks points off on homework unnecessarily. Tests are hard and tricky.

Very nice professor. Tests were easy, group work was easy. Had to be very lazy to fail the class. Professor was real helpful. Would recommend him.
Very easy going. Not a stickler on deadlines. Grades fairly easy. Sometimes talks in circles. Class canceled frequently. Didn't get too much out of the class.
This teacher is more boring than you would believe possible, but the class is pretty easy. He says everything over and over, and it'll make you want to kill yourself. However, his repeating takes time so he covers next to nothing in the class, which makes it easy to learn everything. He cancels class a lot too, which will make you happy inside.
Great guy; explain things thoroughly. His exams are hard (esp. for Global MKT). Only a Midterm & Final, and on both exams you are quizzed for 8 chapt., only selects 2 keyterms from each chap. (out of about 20) and 2 of 5 essay questions

Does not teach by Power Point or out of the text (useless). Makes his own exams which he post practice questions that are similar to test
A good teacher with much knowledge in international business. Just take god notes and study for the tests and you will do fine.
Great teacher! Took him for international business over the summer. His test are easy if you study for the exam. Just study his powerpoint and you will do fine. If something isnt clear he is helpful in answering the question..just need to ask. Dont buy the book its useless!!!
When he teaches it is very clear. Cancels over half the class sessions. Tests are easy. Textbook unnecessary. Did not get my money out of this class, could have learned a lot more if he actually held class and taught when he was supposed to.
Really nice man. He does require two LARGE papers to be completed by the end of the semester. One was 10 pages single spaced (20 page double) and another 15 page single space (30 page double).
Cancels most of all his classes, exams do not go along with what he teaches, should be monitored by mentor program. Obvious he doesn't want to be here.
Awesome teacher! A great help. Teaches the material you need for the test in class and gives LOTS of examples! Great at explaining. No homework and no papers. Only 3 tests + some extra credit. Highly reccomended!
Knows what he is talking about. Easy class. Only work is 3 multiple choice exams. Gives lots of bonus points. Provides lecture PowerPoints and plenty of examples online to help master the concepts.
Teacher is awesome. B4 taking this course i heard from other students not to buy the book, but when actually took the class, i realized the book is helpful alongwith the powerpoints. He mostly tests you from powerpoints, but there r individual study sessions. so do read the book and u'll b fine. Pay close attention 2 powerpoints!! they r the key!!!
This class was kind of a struggle for me because I don't understand economics and business that well, so if you are not a good test taker, be careful. Only 3 tests and attendance make your grade. Otherwise, study for the tests!
He is very good at explaining the subject to make you understand it. His tests are not easy, but not hard eaither. You for sure have to study. He takes attendence everyday, but gives you points for being there. There are only 3 exams. That's your grade. No homework. All his powerpoints are posted online, so that helps with taking notes.
For Mgmt 3400 you have 2 options. You can take the other professor that requires 3 exams 1 group paper consisting of 6 pages and one 5 page personal paper. Or you can take Tahi Gneppa your grade consist of only 3 multiple choice exams. Do NOT buy the book, exams are based on his power point lectures. Gives Attendance points, so sleep in class.
I also had Gnepa for 3310 and that class was MUCH harder than this one. In this class there are 3 tests and they are all pretty reasonable. He drops your lowest one. Also, there are 5 group labs (10 pts each) which are super easy and a really nice 50 point cushion for your grade. Just make sure you don't have any lazy people in your group.

Taking his summer class right now. Seems alright, 2 tests - 50 questions multiple choice. Does his presentations on powerpoint.
I liked this professor. I think his class was interesting, and the tests are not too hard, but require some preparation. Study the powerpoints, and take notes. Hardly used textbook at all. I would recommend this preofessor. His accent a little hard to understand, but not that bad once you get used to it. Gives a lot of extra credit also!
Dr.Gnepa, is one of the most enthusiastic business professors I have had so far. He explains very clearly, gives good examples and makes a boring subject seem interesting (which is not an easy thing to do). I can tell, he really enjoys what he does. Overall great professor and class was not to bad either.
If you are taking a class just to get an easy A it's not for you. However, if you are taking a class to really learn the material I would recommend Prof Gnepa. He explains everything very well and is an awesome professor. You really need to work for that A. One of my favorite classes for Fall 2009.
Gnepa is a great professor. You really need to work hard for a good grade especially when the average exam score is a 67%. His tests are not a joke but if you prepare for them well you will do fine. Explains everything clearly.
This class was not as hard as I had expected, but it was not easy either. Grade is based on 3 exams only, but he does give extra credit for coming to lecture. Studying for exams is needed to do well, but he provides powerpoints of the class lectures & I just studied those & my notes. He also has a lower grading scale so an 87% is considered an A.
This professor is really hard. I would not recommend Gnepa at all. He is hard to understand and has a little bit of an attitude.
Take this class if you want to do nothing but 3 exams for your grade. His accent will take some weeks to get used to. Book is optional, he just uses PowerPoint which he posts online. 20 bonus points for perfect attendance. Definitely a challenging class but worth it if you just want to take tests. Offers few extra points if average is low.
The course consists of three multiple choice exams. 100 points each for a total of 300 point that determines the overall grade. He gives 20 bonus points worth of attenace and also added some bonus points to exams. Easy to understand and gives good examples.
I would have to say that his accent makes materials hard to understand; although, he teaches the course really well. The book is not required. He lectures from power points so this is where you would have to pay attention. Write down anything that you think is important and study everything off the powerpoint. 20% bonus for perfect attendance.
Requires 3 multiple choice tests and 5 group labs (10 points each). Drops one test score. Pretty easy course if you study the PowerPoint presentations and skim the book. Professor is very nice and appears knowledgeable. Labs are group work, so better make sure you get a good group! Overall, it's a straightforward course.
if you want to fail and retake the class his your teacher. his tests are very hard. he will give a story to read and based on that you have to answer few questions.there is nothing else as far as points. he gives you points for attendence and o extra credit or anything else. so fail or get a low grade on 2 tests and you're don.did not like him.
Fairly easy course - read the chapters and study the powerpoints, and you'll do fine. Labs are group work, pretty painless as long as you get some decent folks in your group. Grade comes from 3 tests (and he drops lowest grade), 5 labs, and attendance. Only negative: he doesn't answer emails or phone calls and is rarely in the office.
The teacher is very hard to understand making it hard to learn. There are only three difficult tests so the odds of getting a good grade are not high.
Not bad instructor and felt more like college level course. Must study though and understand theories and concepts behind them. Only used book and online resource for definitions. Power points extrememly useful especially when you take notes on them. I definitely walked away with more knowledge and understanding.
Gnepa is not a hard professor, but lectures are very boring and hard to understand. Tests are based only from his lecture so pay attention! Thank god for his attendance extra credit.
Not an interesting instructor, very monotone, leading to a lack of energy throughout the class. Only had three tests for this class, fortunately he does drop your worst score of the three for your overall grade.
This class is completely lecture based. It does help to read the book, but the best way to be prepared for tests are through studying his powerpoints (available on Bb), and making notes on them through class. The class grade is dependant only on 3 tests that I would consider very challenging. He is always willing to help you if he can.
Tough course. Be prepared to show up to every class, your attendance points will make or break you. The entire course is based on 3 very tough exams. Thankfully the attendance grade helps out ALOT if you show up to every class.. Very boring class.
Too much math on the tests for the type of class. The tests are very hard, and you must know the material in and out to pass. Tests are based solely off his lectures and power points. All three of his classes averaged a D on almost all the tests. Attendance points make or break your grade, so attend every class. I worked extremely hard for my A.
Easy class! I got an A on every exam because I memorized the lecture notes. Make sure you KNOW the application problems. Last exam is the most difficult but you get extra credit for attendance. He repeats himself at least 3 times on every definition so just listen and take notes and you should get an A no problem.
Tests straight from his lecture notes. Just using the slides he provides is NOT ENOUGH. You need to take additional notes while he lectures. Reading the chapters was not necessary. I took detailed notes in class and got an A on every test. Grade consisted of 3 exams, and there were bonus points for attendance.
No need for the book at all. If you print slides, pay attention, and take additional lectures notes you'll be fine. Only grades tests. That's all. Some can be hard. Make sure you know applications!
Show up. Take good notes, And you will pass.
Take his lectures that are twice a week! The broken down lectures leave room for him to clearly explain his lectures and have room for questions at the end. His accent can be a little tough at first but you get used to it. Extra credit for attending every class, so don't miss!!!
He is great, besides his accent that sometimes is tough to understand he is clear with what you need to know. It was an easy A for me you just have to review his powerpoint slides and applications and you will do good on the test.
I have had Gnepa for two semesters in a row now and as a Marketing student I respect this professor to the highest degree. Once you get in the hang of things you'll realize that it's pretty simple (depending on what kind of student you are). 3 tests (drops one), tests from lectures (they're not that tough), and some labs (basically short papers)
Took his Int. Bus. class over the summer (6 weeks), it was one of the easiest classes I have taken. Only 2 exams covering 5 chapters total, so the exams were not very hard and the topic is easy to understand, so you don't need to spend much time studying. Gave extra credit for showing up to class. Very nice, light-hearted professor.
Dr. Gnepa is probably my favorite marketing professor at Stan State. He is clear cut and explains things the best he can. 3 exams and 3 group projects. His exams, while challenging, come straight out of the powerpoint slides and out of the textbook. The group projects are very hands-on, where he wants you to use certain databases to look info up.
Awesome professor! He gives 20 extra points for the entire semester for just show up to class, so make sure not to skip class. All his tests questions are on his lectures and power points. His accent is not bad at all like some people stated. No homework!
Easy class, one of my favorite professor at CSU Stan. His lectures are clear and also gave extra credit for showing up to the class . exams comes straight from the powerpoint as long you take good notes , you will be fine .
If there wasn't extra credit given for attendance, I would say showing up to class is a complete waste of time. He basically just reads off of his PowerPoint. All quizzes are online, three in-class tests, which are fairly easy if you study his guides. Lecture slides are all over the place and often times have very little information on them.
Thick African accent. Always says he will take attendance but never does. 3 exams that are pretty tough (only 2 count since he drops your lowest one). His lectures are hard too understand with his accent so read the book/study guide thoroughly. 5 easy export labs done with your group. Rarely stayed in the class to the end even on lab days
This class was RIDICULOUSLY easy. Be sure to read the key terms at the end of the chapter and study those for the test. Tests can be difficult if you choose not to study. If you do that, you'll be fun. There is so much extra credit, it is honestly hard to not pass this class. Powerpoints are all posted online so you don't have to have the textbook.
It's definitely a lot of information to retain. A quiz on connect for every chapter (unlimited tries), random attendance, extra credit survey and 3 exams. His exams CAN be difficult, but they are not too bad if you study the math applications and the KEY CONCEPTS at the end of every chapter. I got 100% in the course. 3 B's on exam, he drops lowest.
I thought it was easy 3 exams drops lowest scores. Yes I studies a'lot for the test mostly from book and notes. 1st and 2nd test are easier then the 3rd. Extra credit for showing up. Quiz's just google for answers. Hardest part about the class is trying not to fall sleep and accent is hard to understand. Print the power points to take notes on.
His class is really easy. There are 6 quizzes that are super easy and have unlimited attempts, 2 exams, and one final. You need to go to class because his tests are based off his lectures. Talks fast, so your best bet is to print out notes and fill in or write notes on the powerpoint. Practice his practice questions, take good notes and you'll pass
Lectures and tests dont even match up, the worst lecturer because he just rambles on and on and gets easily sidetracked. Gives extra credit for attendance
I just came out of his final for this class. He is a good professor, he's really smart. The major thing is that his exams are super hard. The study guide he gives helps almost nothing. He makes his own exams so even if you wanted to cheat, you cant.
This class was your standard read chapters, listen to lectures, complete assignments and discussions, take tests. Pretty easy Professor. Do all work and youll be fine.
Im convinced hes a bot. I would email Professor for questions and he would never reply but he would email the class on instructions for exams. I never heard back from him, study guides DO NOT help with tests AT ALL! Do all the homework and pass one exam with 70% and youll pass
I took this class over the Winter semester. He graded us on only 3 exams (1 dropped) and 3 discussions. Hardly any room for error. There were 2 kinds of lectures, youtube and powerpoint. I studied both for each exam and the exams are way different than the lecture. I like him bc i met him on zoom and he assured me that he doesn' want anyone to fail
Fully online. Homework was every two weeks typical read, watch videos, and answer questions and discussions. No projects. Exams were hard. you really need to study watch the lectures, powerpoints, videos, and study the study guide he gives you.
I really enjoyed taking this course, glad I chose this professor!
you wont pass this class if you dont read and pay attention to the lectures.
Taking this class for winter and it's manageable if you know how to study well. 3 discussions and 3 tests, he'll drop the test with the lowest score. Don't underestimate the test material because it's hard if you don't study. Study all the materials that he provides in Canvas.
Very easy and very chill prof. only 5 discussions, 5 quizzes, 2 two tests, and a final. His lectures are very easy to understand to the point that you'll get bored. He has lectures on YouTube so you can always go back and watch (but watch them with x1.25 playback speed because he is super slow). So, I would take him again just to get an easy A.
It seemed as though the professor spent HOURS making the exams as confusing as possible. There are very few assignments in this class, but the exams are extremely challenging. You must invest a lot of time if you want a good grade. Find a different professor if you want to succeed. Good luck :(
I came into this course a bit anxious since the reviews scared me and I had to take this class since all the other classes were full. However, this class was NOT hard at all. If you want to do good on the exams watch his lectures and take good notes since anything on his lectures can be on the exam. We also had quizzes, discussions, and 3 exams.
He was a good professor, tests are a bit challenging and homework is relatively easy. As long as you understand the lectures/text to a moderate level you will do fine in the class.
Few HW assignments and quizzes that are easy but the exams are difficult! Constraining time limit with some questions looking the same. Provides study guide that sorta helps. Its a drag to get through his lectures but is helpful for exams. Would probably be better to take in person as his Canvas is difficult to navigate with little info.
The class consists of quizzes that are on Connect, discussions, video quizzes, and three exams. The exams can be tough and they are very time consuming. The professor also gave bonus points at times because like I said, the exams can be tricky. Their lectures are informative but very long, pay attention and take good notes.
The exams were hard, and time was not enough to finish the test. The class was supposed to be on campus, but it was treated as an online one. A calculator is needed during the exams.
Prior to taking this course, I knew his classes were in person but all other assignments were online. Lecture was not mandatory at all so I never attended. Assignments were self-explanatory and easy to do. Exams are based on his lectures which he does post online. His class is fairly easy once you get the hang of how his class works. Be prepared.
When I signed up for this course, for some reason I thought it was an online course so I never went into the physical class as it interfered with my work schedule. Professor did not drop me for not attending in person, for which I am very thankful. Had I attended in person, I believe I would have received a higher grade. Recommended and caring!
If you take this class, make sure to watch the lecture video and take notes. His test are not just memorizing definitions, they are about if you can take those definitions and use them in a real scenario. Great teacher all around.
Online course, tough grader. This class was pretty difficult for me because I honestly didn't find it that interesting. It didn't catch my attention.
Prof Gnepa is passionate about this subject! Homework isn't heavy - two weeks per chapter, one week to do Connect quiz and another for discussion based on videos. Watch his lectures and take notes! He covers applications for the test in the lectures that are not in the textbook. Makes subjects easy to understand. Do your part and you'll get an A.
He is a good professor, although I we were supposed to meet twice a week but turned out we would only meet 7 times throughout the whole semester! No problem with me! You have to watch the lecture videos at your own time and just complete the Chap. quizzes. Along with small quizzes where you watch short YouTube videos and answer questions.
In person class only meets once every 2 weeks & lectures aren't mandatory(he uploads his lectures). Only assignments were 1 connect quiz, 1 M/C test, & discussion post every 2 weeks. Definitely watch lectures because he covers topics/math that isn't in the book and will be on the exams(3 exams). Overall pretty easy class.
