Its her first year teaching so giving her some leniency. She disregards the syllabus and contradicts what she says. The sad part is that she gets so defensive when you speak up and say she did contradicted herself. Easy A but all marketing 350 courses are.

You need a 93 to pass this class with an A so that should tell you everything you need to know about her. She contradicts herself and due dates from the syllabus and gets mad when you point out her own errors to her. The class itself is pretty easy and the material as well. It is her first year teaching so maybe she will get better with technology.

So far she's been awful. Never answers emails the grading criteria is just strange (must get 93 for A) and she constantly contradicts herself. She also gets super defensive and doesn't seem to care much about students. She doesn't post a study guide for exams either. This is her first year so maybe she'll improve but until then I wouldn't take her

Stay away! Her communication skills with students are practically nonexistent. Completely disregards the syllabus and is well known to ignore students when they are attempting to contact her about something she doesn't like/want to talk about. Although the material is pretty easy overall, take marketing with someone else.

Be wary of reviews you read on here. It's her first year teaching so although the class could run a little smoother, she is very nice and overall the class is very easy (there is a reason you need a 93 to get an A). She also did give a study guide for the midterm. Responds to emails contrary to what people say on here. 10/10 recommend!

The course material is easy, you just need to stay on top of it. It's a 93 for an A which is doable. Course on paper is a breeze. However, maybe because it was her first year teaching but she was very stubborn with student situations and unforgiving. She hadn't really settled into how to be a teacher yet and made some dumb choices for the class.

I am not a fan of Professor Mcginnis's teaching style, but I will cut her some slack because it is her first year teaching this class. I'm sure she will find her footing eventually. However, this doesn't change what I found overall to be a bland, uninformative, and repetitive teaching style that could not capture my attention on even my best days.

She talks a lot during her lectures, which aren't very useful. However, the iClicker points matter for attendance, so you still have to go. The tests aren't even based on lectures, just McGraw-Hill, which is easy to study, but the tests can be difficult. Overall, it is okay. I average 90s on tests, but it takes a lot of studying for no reason.

The exams are fairly easy, especially since a good chunk of the material taught in this class is intuitive. However, there's still a good chunk of information you need to memorize, a lot of which can feel redundant. Tests are mostly based off what's covered in the book. Professor Mcginnis is very nice but the lectures can get boring.

Professor Mcginnis was a great professor. Her lectures can get boring and feel redundant, but she does include a lot of real-world examples which helps put the information into perspective. Tests are fairly easy and are mainly application-based questions. The smart books are annoying but accurately reflect what's on the tests.

I found her annoying. She lectures decently, but they are so long and boring it's hard to pay attention. The class itself is not hard, but the exams are unprofessionally written with typos and repeated questions. You have to go to class to do pointless iClicker questions, and the required marketing research studies are a waste of time too.

This class is low maintenance except when it comes to exams. The exams are unnecessarily hard. I would study for the exams and know the material but then get a C on the exam? She makes the TA do everything and doesn't like when you contact her. She gives lots of extra credit but paying attention in her class is painful.

McGinnis gives a lot of extra credit when she brings in guest speakers. If you study for the exams with smart book recharges and read through the slides on blackboard, the exams are not too bad. The class is relatively subjective so it can be frustrating at times.
