Miss Lubic is a wonderful professor. She is very clear, and as long as you do what is asked, your portfolio will be phenominal. If you respect her she'll return it. Try to be her friend and talk to her, shes extremely down to Earth!

Ms. Lubic loves writing too much to do a feel-good, blow-smoke-up-the-ass kind of job. If you really, REALLY want to hone your craft, she's the one to help you. If you want an easy A, avoid this class. She'll eat you alive.

Ms. Lubic was not a difficult teacher if you actually try. The only reason people think she is difficult or inconsiderate is if they were lazy and didn't put forth the effort. She is extremely helpful. I managed to bag an A- in her class.

She definitely knows her stuff. She's not easy, but if you show up in class and you take the time to go to office hours, she'll be happy to help. This insitution is the only one where the customer wants less than what they paid for. If you think her WRT150 class is too hard, rethink being in college

This class is designed to teach you what you need to know how to write successfully at GVSU. Granted she may be harder then some professors, but she does a really good job at preparing you! Don't slack off in her class though...

Ms. Lubic is a WONDERFUL teacher. And for that kid that said she ruined his life...did you see how he spelled ruined...hmm, no wonder. Ms.Lubic is very helpful and just gets to the point. She offers criticism when and where it is needed, if you can't take it, don't go to college.

Pretty nice lady. I didn't like her at first, but learned to grow. She assigns a lot of reading for a writing class, but it ends up OK. She doesn't decide your final grade, she just prepares you for the portfolio. She was really helpful and I got a good grade with papers about lame topics.

I hate writing, but this was my favorite and most enjoyable class of my freshman year. She does assign a lot of reading, but class discussions make up for it. Although the teacher does not assign the WRT 150 grade, if you want a good grade, take Lubic because she is the most thorough in preparing students for portfolio.

nice lady, expectations very very high, doesnt give positive feedback on papers, makes you feel like you suck at writting, plays favorites to boys, the amount of work that you put in does not reflect in your grade.

She's a demanding prof but tells you how it is which is helpful in the long run. I enjoyed the in class convos but class time always lasted 50 mins too long. I recommend her if you like a challenge and want to become a better writer quickly. I had no problem with her I think she's cool. Just be ready to become a supersweet writer.

Honestly, she's a great prof. She really prepares you for your portfolio. Go to her office hours and she'll be more than willing to help you out. Seriously, she was very helpful and I learned a lot that will help me later on. I would definitly recomend her!

She's tough, direct and blunt -- but that's okay. I'd rather find out what's wrong with my essays BEFORE I submit my Portfolio for final grading than afterwards when it's too late and your grade is in! Can be helpful. No sugar-coating.

She is very hard the first couple weeks because she makes you read about 40 pages every class period and refers to the book a lot. When it came to the second half of the class when we were actually revising, great help and marks up your papers you hand a lot which helps out a lot.

Lubic's nice. She's cool with me. Very helpful. The class is all right. Just write and revise and revise and revise and ask for help if u need it.

She was a good teacher, and a great editor. She does tear apart papers, but it made revisions that much easier: I knew what I needed to revise. She sets deadlines for each paper, which helps in prioritizing time outside of class. Helps avoid cramming at the end of the class and makes it easier to pass. I recommend her.

Can be intimidating, especially in class periods. But very helpful in office hours. Go to those!

If you are willing to work hard, I strongly recommend this teacher. Unlike other WRT150 teachers, she makes due dates for all your papers and revisions, making your life ALOT easier come portfolio time. You may think she's evil because her feedback can be negative, but do what she say's and you'll do good. (I ended up with an A).

She's a bit scary, but you'll learn a lot if you put effort into it. She also will meet with you any time. It's not a blow off class, get over it.

Very intimidating professor at first. Days spent in class can be terrible. She does rip your paper to shreds in corrections, but its for the best since it helps out on portfolios. Very helpful to students.

Professor Lubic is not easy. She destroys your papers, but in a very good way. She covers the things in suggestions/corrections (something not all profs do), which makes it that much easier when the final due date actually rolls around. If you have any interest in the subject, I would recommend her. She will really help you improve your craft.

Good professor. Don't be hatin' on her, but the class. The class itself is very hard, not exactly the professor. She's excellent at correcting papers and helping students which is crucial in this class. My only complaint is she would sometimes contradict herself in her critiques. I would strongly recommend her.

She's good at making corrections to papers. Sometimes the corrections can be kind of harsh, but they help you in the end. Demands good work on your papers which helps when it comes to portfolio.

I found her to be a little scattered, but helpful. She had fun anecdotes every day. She teaches through the books mostly.

She is one of the hardest WRT 150 teachers, however, she can be very helpful. She rips apart your papers and tell you what you need to fix. GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS! She will help you individually where your paper needs help and gives you ideas. She expects a lot out of her students, so just work hard and you will do fine.

She is very harsh on grading papers, however, go to her office hours. She sees your paper 2 times before final portfolio, in which she tears them up. But it helps a lot in the end. She expects a lot and is hard, but it helps out in the end!

Once you take some more writing classes, you'll realize how rare it is to get a professor like Lubic...one that takes the time to empty a red pen on each of your papers. Class is hard. She is hard. When she hands papers back, she'll have written more on each page than you did. But if you want to actually LEARN something in WRT 150, take her.

She is BORING!! But she is a great teacher, I learned a lot. I really improved my writing skills. The textbook is a must. The class is worth a lot of points so there is a lot of things to do but they aren't hard. She also gives really good feedback.

Prof. lubic helps you learn and helps you improve your writing. She gives alot of feedback that is helpful for revising. She is strict about deadlines and paper length, but it helps you in the long run.

Prof. Lubic is very strict and grades harshly, but she is helpful and funny. Her class was sometimes a tad boring and you have to do your readings. They do help you're writing improve believe it or not. Just put in the effort and you'll do fine.

Really nice lady but a super boring class. She's a really hard grader. After swapping papers with some friends in other WRT150 classes they all told me they thought my papers were better and they all received higher grades than me. If it isn't they way she wants it exactly its wrong. Don't suggest taking her

Never satisfied with writing skills or prompts of students. Extremely high expectations for work that was never taught, helpful when going to office hours.

If you ask her, she is very clear with what she wants in your papers. She shows interest in the topics of you papers, and throws in good ideas. you can tell that she genuinely cares about her students and wants them to pass. i would definitely take her again

She was very supportive and understanding when someone close to me passed away in the last month of the semester She may seem tough but WRT 150 is one of the hardest classes regardless of the teacher Writing has never been my strong suit and she helped me to pass the class with a C+

This class is meant to be hard and she is very specific about that at the beginning of the semester. She's always willing to help if you ask. She gives a complete list of everything due and going on in class for every day. The papers might be confusing but whenever I had questions she was very thorough and helped me understand the assignment better

Professor Lubic is a toughie on the outside but once you get to know her she's a total sweetheart. She may seem harsh at times but always makes it possible to make up for a loss of points and offers second chances more than she should. Great professor learned a lot

Professor Lubic is a kind person who truly wants you to be sucessful in her class. She is a fair grader and if you do bad on an assignment she will become avaliable to help you in anyway she can. She can be harsh sometimes but overall she tries to make class fun and inspirational.

Professor Lubic is a very difficult teacher if you do not actively try in her class. She expects the most from her students and sometimes comes off a little too hard but she just wants everyone to do their best. She has done an amazing job to prepare me for the rest of the college writing classes I will take.

Tamara was hands down one of the hardest professors I had, but she also became one of my favorite. She really wants all of her students to do well, and she provides you with everything you need to do well. I went into her class hating writing and came out a writing minor. Overall, she's a phenomenal professor and I would recommend her to anyone.

I was scared at first to take this professor given the other reviews. But she is actually very nice and funny, but she makes sure her students stay online. You need the three text books because if you dont you will be counted as absent. Overall, she made a 8 am bearable.

She moves at a fast pace and expects a lot from you but if you stay on track with your assignments and papers you won't have an issue. Go to her office hours!! She is really sweet and comes off as uptight until you get to know her better. There are probably easier professors to take writing with but I genuinely think you'd learn more from her.

This is an easy A class. I've never experienced her being rude to anyone really. Attendance and deadlines are important, if you don't show up or something is late you lose credit. Overall, she gives clear directions on assignments or go to office hours and ask for help. Just do what you are supposed to and you will be fine.
