She is so great! Her lectures are cover only what you need to know and her tests reflect her notes perfectly. Her tests are not hard at all as long as you go to class! I also like how she keeps her class informed on current events!

Excellent teacher who keeps students informed and up to date on current events and how it ties into subject being taught and does really good lectures. Very good teacher.

Great teacher. Very interesting. Very hard tests, but she does give review sheets. No attendence policy, but she encourages participation, and has rewarded us for attendence. Uses lots of current events for examples to help you understand what she is talking about.

She is a good professor to have because she clearly explains what she is talking about and tries hard to get everyone intrested on the topics.

Not a hard class. Very nice person. Does not teach from her political views but provides an unbiased view of politics. Towards the middle to end of the semester she lets her class out usually 30 min early so there is not much incentive to attend class.

Great professor one of my favorites! Study notes and read text and tests will be a breeze. I'd recommend her over some of the other political science profs.

This class is really easy. You don't really need the book if you just go to class. She gives you a review that has EVERYTHING on it for the test. And she is really funny and treats you like an adult.

Hard class. 30 question test and the review took FOREVER to complete.

I took Dr. Waggener in the summer...she is one word...AWESOME. she loves to have class disscussions on recent events... and she actually keeps me awake!! she goes over the entire review with you before test...you still have to study of course but its super easy!! i DEF reccomend that you take her class!!

Dr. Waggener is pretty amazing. She forces you to have an opinion and be able to back it up. She presents two sides to every argument and is very unbiased. She also helps you to find the answer to your own questions instead of her just telling you. She will give you all the readings because she thinks the book companies take advantage of us :)

Makes the lectures funny and interesting, I enjoy going to class. Takes notes! The tests are from the notes and the book, but the book questions are very specific so you must read. Gives a review and will help you with it. I barely studied and made a B. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

She's a very good teacher & has a lot of empathy for students. She understands how it is to have to read a million chapters a night & cram for tests, so she makes the work fairly easy to ensure her students pass. She'll let you out early if she's done with her lecture early & is always willing to help if you need it. Definitely would recommend her.

Great professor. Easy to understand and always lectures on the most interesting topics. Open to other opinions and fair on test questions. Multiple review given, IF you attend class. Attendance is NOT mandatory, but i you go, you will always be entertained and will receive bonus notes and assignments. Awesome class.

She's a really good professor-- really knows her stuff, and she makes the lecture interesting. She tells you EXACTLY what will be on the tests, but if you miss her lectures, then you wont do so hot on the tests because she doesnt always post notes on black board. So...go to class. :)

Prof. Waggener is a good prof. She explains everything very well. The only thing I would say would be to take notes in class, don't try to write down everything that she has on the screen because she goes too fast, and DEFFINATELY go to class or be prepared to have someone give you the notes (the test is based off of most of the lectures).

Very knowledgeable about politics. Makes class a laidback environment while keeping the lectures informative, fun, and interesting. Scrolls through PPs WAY too fast so try to listen. Gives whole class extra credit if you can prove her wrong on a test question. Don't be late to her class bc she will lock you out! GREAT teacher for this subject!

Dr. Waggener is amazing! She encourages class discussions and debates. She is very knowledge about and provides great amounts of information that is helpful for life. The material are things you should already know from middle school, so her test are not hard. Mostly she has a very relaxed class and will give good insight on things.

Attendance? NO! Textbook? NO! this was pretty laid back class. Which was I think was good and bad for me. I had no interest because their was no drive. Waggener is an awesome liberal person but maybe I was just having a bad semester. Please take her you will enjoy the freedom.

Very easy. Talks a lot. LIBERAL. entertaining. says she will provide notes and then doesn't until the class day before a test which causes cramming; do not like this. sincerely cares about student knowledge and very involved in politics.

Awesome teacher I enjoyed going to her class every morning because of our class discusions, she gives out reviews to test but make sure you go to class. When people stop showing up she likes to give those who came to class rewards like questions that will be on the test. She doesnt care about electronics, book isnt needed, Getting a B wong be hard

Dr. Waggener is truly excited by politics and how it affects every aspect of life. She does and exceptional job in showing both sides of an issue and shows a sense of balance to her teaching. Her tests are multiple choice and she equips you with all the concepts that you should know to prepare you for the tests. Has high energy and intellect. Ciao.

you only have 3 test in the class. try to pass all of them cuz if not you gon have a low grade. if you have the notes from class you will do fine on the test. class is mandatory. book is online so you dont have to buy nothing. class discussion is fun sometimes and she also lets y0u out early for the 50 minute class

Textbook is online! She is clear on what you need to know for tests. Quizzes are not given at all and neither is extra credit. Gives a review sheet before each exam. There are only 3 exams. The wording of her questions on exams makes it a little tough. Each test has 25 questions. Attendance is not mandatory, but is very beneficial.

Listen to everything she says and you will pass. Points out what will be on the test. Test are easy if you do the review and study it. Does not take attendance but if I were you I would go. Really makes sure you understand everything she is saying.

She gives four tests with a review for each. She's very specific about what will be on the test so if you do the review you should pass but if you come to class she'll actually do the review in class. Short lectures, very nice and pretty funny and interesting.

This class requires very, very little outside work. Attendance does not effect your grade (though being there for lecture is pretty important). My class was huge, but still she made a serious effort to be there for every singly student - she really, genuinely wanted us to succeed. The book was free, she gave excellent reviews for the tests.

The only grades for the class are exams and they are 25 question exams. If you just listen in her lectures and read what she tell you to read, you'll pass this class easily.

She is a great professor. The only grades were 4 tests, but if you go to class and listen to the lectures you will easily pass the tests. If you were in class she would send you the lecture notes, so you didn't even have to write them down. The textbook is free so thats a plus. She was very willing to help any student that needed help.

Professor wager is amazing. There's a total of 3 test the whole semester and they're super easy, just study the review. The book is FREE! Also if you struggled in the class there's an essay you can do to help improve your grade. Waggener was an AMAZING Professor , all of her lectures were interesting I looked forward for her class all the time. There is no textbook she provides a free link of a online textbook that she sometimes assign for you to read for the exams. Honestly her class was super EASY. Just go to class because everything that she says will be on the final. She only has three short exams that all come with reviews. She will give the people who attend the most, extra points and answers to the exam reviews. Very easy course. She will help you pass even if you think you are borderline failing by giving you extra credit assignments.

If you need to take US government get in Waggner. The textbook is free and online. The lectures arent long and the grading criteria is clear. Even though attendance isnt required still show up because youll get extra info you will need on the test. She makes everything clear so if you show up and pay attention youll pass

This class has only 4 test in it and they were 25 questions a piece. 1/2 way through the semester she got angry at our class and changed her teaching style to include the textbook and it just sucked overall. Im in to government so the class wasnt bad for me but if youre not you can still make an A because the review is basically the test.

She gives you free access to the textbook you need for class, don't buy it! You have to read the textbook in order to pass her class though. Her reviews are EXACTLY like her test. If you don't come to class, you'll most likely miss extra credit questions she puts on the exam. She's really easy to access and always willing to help students.

She is very nice and passionate about what she teaches the class was fairly easy, but she gives answers to exams during class she won't put on the review, so you need to show up and take notes if you want an A on the exams.

Good professor, gives study guides before tests that are basically what's on the test it is pretty clear. all her materials are posted online you can use to review for the test. only 4 tests no assignments. she will give extra notes sometimes before tests if you go to class

Very easy professor because honestly if you show up, take good notes, and prepare for the exams (class is 4 total exams and no additional assignments) than you will be successful. Attendance is not required but you will benefit from showing up, including sometimes receiving notes or even extra credit points.

I took this class around the time of the elections, and she was amazing at giving her unbiased view of things. What she teaches is based on what the class decides they want to talk about. You are allowed to bring in physical notes (print out if you take them digitally) for all of the tests, and there is extra credit for showing up to class.

The only grades in this class are tests, and if you don't read the specific stuff from the book you will not pass the tests. She does lay out the specific areas that will be on the test in the book. Heavy lecture based, ONLY lecture based so pay attention. She is a very understanding and flexible teacher, she offers extra points on tests

Amazing, funny, and down to Earth professor. Definitely what is needed in a POLS Professor. The entire grade is made up of 3 open note tests and 1 final paper. If you read the easy links she provides and take notes from those, you are solid on the test. She gives 4 points in extra credit in the class after a test. Easy class if you focus.

She is a good professor and very lecture heavy. They are only four exams and you can use your notes which is a extra bonus. She provides study guides and gives extra credit after an exam.

Her class is based on how you do one four exams and although that sucks a bit she does let you bring as much notes that you think you might need for the exam. She can go fast sometimes but overall a good professor and pretty easy class.
