Took Dr. Kapros for Bio 108L and 109L. For Bio 108L, read the assigned text before class and you will do fine on the quizzes. For Bio 109L, read his slides that he posts prior to class and you will do fine on on the quizzes. His quizzes are out of 10 points but he only makes them out of 7-9 in his gradebook. Often gives EC during the semester.

This class is cake. If you put in any effort at all, an A is easily obtainable. The quizzes are hard if you don't pay attention or read ahead, but if you do expect a 100% on the majority of the quizzes. For the love of God spare yourself the torment and take 109 first so you can be with Bledsoe in the Fall for Lab. Never tried so hard for 1 credit.

Not even a lab class, its basically just another lecture class with only 1 credit. Half the time I'm not even sure if he knows what he's talking about, he just talks in circles. Even the TAs are confused. It's one of those things where I'm sure he's a great scientist but man should not be teaching. Grades are just based on midterm and final only.

He gets a lot of hate, but its definitely undeserved. The class is not bad at all. I liked him, but he's very long winded, like I legit fell asleep once. But he's helpful, pretty relaxed, is really funny sometimes, and class is super straightforward. Just show up, review for 30 minutes before class for quizzes and tests, and you'll get an A.

People don't give this guy as much credit as he deserves. A good professor, and very knowledgeable. Tough grader. Spend some extra time reading his slides and you'll have all of the info you need for midterm and final. Tests are multiple choice and short answer. 2 question quizzes for attendance in every class.

Overall, in my experience, not the best professor I've had, but not the worst. He is a funny guy and sometimes cracks jokes. Your grade is definitely based on the midterm and final. With that said, just study his power points and you'll be fine on the exams. He does give "extra credit" if you attend class. The grading scale is pretty lenient too.

All I have to say is that he said he wouldn't help anyone on an assignment because it would be an unfair disadvantage to the other students

Kapros talks a LOT, usually taking up the first hour before starting the actual experiment, but he is funny. There is a quiz about the last lab every class, and your grade is mostly determined by the midterm/exam. You'll be fine if you study the slides and do the practice exam, if provided.

Be prepared to listen to him talk a lot. He lectures for close to an hour every lab before you actually do the lab. There's a quiz every class used for attendance, but most of your grade is based on the midterm and final. If you don't get a practice quiz, make sure to study the labs. There's no drop for any lab so make sure to attend all of them.

Does he talk a lot? Yes omg, but he's an adorable old man that makes me giggle. He's gracious with extra credit, with multiple chances to get a good grade. The class isn't hard, but you definitely need to pay attention to how he grades and how he words things. You are more than capable of passing, just don't miss class and pay attention.

Attend every single lab as each one has a quiz. He has extra credit opportunity on every quiz so there are ways to boost your grade and he gave one extra credit assignment. His tests are worth like 70% of the grade so study HARD for those. He talks a lot but his labs themselves are pretty easy. I just found him to be very boring and old school.

Kapros talks a LOT. Most of the labs are just him lecturing. He is really funny but it's hard to stay awake. Most of the grade is determined by the midterm and final, so study well for those. There's a quiz at the start of every lab. The TA's are not helpful at all, I wouldn't bother with them.
