Not worth the trouble if you just fullfilling a Gen ED.,
she was ok, but didn't click with the book or class of 122...avoid the course.
Nice if you got to know her. She's hard, but won't fail you if you try.
Very friendly; always willing to help.Sometimes unclear on what is to be learned
she is a nice person once you get to know her, don't blow off quizzes.
Excellent prof, very down-to-earth, quizzes can kill you, though!
Nice person, but not the easiest professor you'll have in math.
One of the most resourcefull professors I've encountered, will LEARN material.
Loud and Obnoxous. Terrible dresser. anoying but effective teacher.
I liked math before coming to this class. Helpful, but quizzes & tests are hard
Wonderful explanations, clear, concise. Tests are difficult
Not too hard, but she tries SO hard to be mean! Likes to try to be intimidating
She is rotten. She is a waste of space and air.
she was very funny and her class was super easy
I loved Bailey!! She was so friendly - one of my fav profs
worst math teacher yet i almost dropped my math major because of her class
I tried my hardest, and she still failed me. Annoying overall.
Doesn't give clear explanations - students corrected her in class quite often -
She is the most caring teacher I've ever had. She's a real asset to GVSU!!!
Very organized, always available, helpful. Critical people must be bad at math.
Makes you feel like an idiot - quizzes are killer - I dropped the class
didn't get along with her, bad prof.
Explains things well.
not bad, lacks explanation for formulae, but is helpful and class isn't boring
rincredibly rude, had trouble and she told me to stop coming to her class
Annoying voice, good teacher. I'd take her again.
Super nice professor and very caring! A little picky on tests. Good overall!
ok prof, knows her stuff but very boring.
despite what others say, she is an excellent prof. friendly and always helpfull
Professor Bailey was extremely helpful to those who wanted to learn.
Class pretty much just started, but she seems ok. I'll rate again later on.
Very organized, knows her ****, and really a nice person
Very Picky and quite hard
i agree on the picky part - ridiculously picky. But still good & nice.
Goes over everything and always willing to help you out, overall great prof
Very Polite. Respectful to those who try. Does not like mouthy ppl.
she was the worst teacher i ever had. didn't give a crap if you pass or fail.

Very picky and quizzes are difficult. Be prepared.
Always askes class for questions regarding work, tests topics are explained well

Smart Prof but Do homework, get help and be on her good side!

Went to class every day, she told me I failed because I missed class too much.

thumbs down
Goes the extra mile to help you. Tells you whats on tests. Do homework.
Very helpful, enthusiastic about her job.
Very clear but quick. you have to pay attention to learn!
Moves quick, but helpful and funny, good prof
Quizzes are VERY hard, she is a cool prof though, just pay attention!
Nice person but goes to fast and doesn't always explain things well. I was lost.
she is the best math prof i've ever had. really knows her stuff. explains well
Nice and always asks for questions. Quizes are hard. Study and you'll be fine.
A bit ditzy, but work with her, and she'll work with you.
She moves very very fast towards the end of the semester, go to class OFTEN
if you pay attention and do the homework, it's easy
Favored women students when it came to grading tests and quizes
very nice, helpful, go to class and study for quizes
Good teacher.....not the best trig teacher I have had.....but I did learn a lot.
Best teacher ever. SO nice & understanding - LOVES to answer questions and help

AWESOME
Genuinely helpful.
she is the worst teacher ever, she couldnt teach her way out of a paper bag

The class (only for CS and CIS majors) is really tough, but she's really helpful
She was great I wish more teachers were as entertaining and helpful.
she is very nice and fun! helps you when you need it!
Very helpfull, very cool, take her if you gotta take math
very nice, pretty understanding and is helpful
The woman thought that 2*52+1=117. Enough said.

Great Prof. Very funny, likes to dance alot and is very cool. Take Bailey she rocks :)
Don’t take her for 225. Nice person, but does not do much more then read from the book. Sometimes has difficulty copying problems straight from book. Also tells you one thing about tests, then does the opposite.
She was pretty easy, but it was very difficult to listen to her be constantly corrected by students. Not very truthful about what will be on the test.
225 wasn't too bad. The bad thing was that there were several losers in class who weren't willing to do the homework and then just wanted to blame their bad grade on her rather than their lack of effort. Nice woman nevertheless.
Very nice. NOT very good. Easy class if you do the homework. Doubt you're well prepared for Discrete Structures II, though.
very nice and helpful! gives partial credit on stuff. nice lady
She is by far the best math teacher that I've ever had. She was very helpful and made sure everyone understood the material before moving on. She's also very nice and willing to help after class hours as well.
Very nice and clear. Ask for help and she will try to explain as best as possible. Tests were hard and detailed. I thought the math project was a bit unecessary. All in all, she's a great Prof.
I took her during a summer semester and was very disappointed. I was marked down for trivial things, she was not available for help outside of class and I felt she was rude to students who did understand the information right away.
She is by far the best prof I've had so far (I'm a junior). She was always available to help outside of class. I've never understood math until I had her as a professor now it's easy!! Take her if you can she's the best!!
Teacher has a voice that can irritate you after a while
she was extremely helpful in and out of class. always there for ya. great teacher.
she is always corrected by students and makes you feel really stupid if you don't understand. when you ask a question then she hurries through it & hard to follow...if you ask someone else a question she stops teaching and says "what's your question&
TERRIBLE... worst thing ever.. ya THING.. dont waste ur time.. she wasted enought of mine
She goes really fast in class, but if you go to her office hours she explains in as much detail as you want, and will go over examples with you until you get it! Awesome
She is really awesome! Shes a great math prof!
Very nice and helpful. Helps you to understand the material and makes it a friendly environment, but still you have to be able to work for it. It's easy if you do the work, ask questions and go to class. Very Nice teacher!!
Nice teacher... try not to make simple mistakes, you'll be ripped off points. Better make the harder mistakes. Very helpful, but you might cry when u see ur score if u make freq simple mistakes like negatives, absolute values. Have quest. ask after class.
Bad overall professor. Lazy when it comes to explaining required info. A final project in a math class? Also most tests were to long to finish in class.
Very good teacher, Easy tests.
Awesome teacher. If you did bad in her class you did not ask questions, pay attention, or do your work. She was such a great help with anything I needed. She was my all time favorite prof.
Great teacher! Sit in the front of her class, and you'll be straight for the rest of the semester.

Very easy A! Just go to class and do the homework, tests are a breeze!
She is nice outta class, but really horrible at explaining the work. I don't recommend her at all!
Terrible! Don't take her! Very poor when explaining material. If you are unfortunate enough to already have her, follow her instructions on tests to a "T".
Don't listen to the idiots who rated her as a good professor. She makes math harder than it actually has to be. She has her own way of writing answers and if you don't do it her way, you're screwed. She'a a real beeotch. Stay away!
I LOVE HER AS A PROF~ take her! Gives outlines for tests and quizzes and exams. VERY HELPFUL...you just have to ask. Understanding for OAS. This lady loves to joke and she has a very good sense of humor. Argue a grade and most likely get it bumped up.
I am not a math person AT ALL....if you just go into her office hours she will be more than willing to help you out with your difficulties--I KNOW that is what allowed me to get a decent grade in her class--very clear-too bad shes just an adjunct
Good teacher
FAIRLY HELPFUL, I LIKE HER SYSTEM
DO NO TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. She teaches the bare minimum and then expects you to know how to do everything else imaginable. The one good quality she has is the fact that if you go to her office she'll pretty much give you the answers, which doesn't really aid in the learning though. super UN-hot also
She is a very nice professor. She is always wiling to help you. Explains work very well. Good at going over test. Tests and quizs aren't to hard if you listen to her explain in class. I like her she is one of the best prof here at GVSU. She is the "BEST"!!!!!!
I dont like math but this class is ok. There isn't much homework and tests and quizes are very straight foward. Prof Bailey is really nice and will help you with anything you dont understand.
Prof Bailey was fantastic. I thought she was super helpful and she really cared about her students. If you aren't willing to try you won't do well. She will meet you half way.
Good prof. Practically tells you every problem thats going to be on the test. Lets you make note cards. Just be prepaired for quizes, there are a lot of them.
She is an awesome professor! All you have to do is take notes and PAY ATTENTION in class and her tests and quizzes will be a breeze. Go to her office hours and she will help you out. She is truly interested in the success of her students
very friendly and understanding, i just wish i took the time to do the homework. class can be hard though, but that is in general, don't slack off. very clear, very fair with tests and quizzes. drops like 3 quizzes at end of semester
She would cut her eyes at me and say sarcastic comments to others. She would have a real bad attitude sometimes. I thought she was bipolar or something. If you like to have a manic-depressive professor go ahead and take her. And these are not bias statements because I did excellent in the class.
Great teacher very fair cares about her students. I am math retarded and she actually made the class bareable
This Prof. is horrible! If you miss one class, you are on her bad side all semester. She insulted me and put me down when I asked a question. She is terrible!! DO NOT TAKE HER! SHE IS ALSO HIDEOUS!
My class was a SLA class, but that's very helpful. If you're not good in math, take the SLA.Bailey is very helpful and cares a lot about her students.Helps your grade any way she can to benefit you at the end. uizzes every Friday, but in the SLA you review before the class.DO Homework, she'll surprise u
She is a good teacher. She give us notes and the test is basically over what we did in class. She is a good teacher make sure you do the homework it will help you ALOT!!!
Prof Bailey is the best prof I have ever had! She helped me on the tests so much! She basically gave me the answers. She is always willing to help. Do your homework and don't slack and you will do great! Get this prof! I got her for my next MTH 122 also.
you all just have to know her im her neice and she is a good teacher she really does care for all of her students granted that she can have her bad days but other wise shes a great teacher
She is the BEST PROF. EVER. She really cares for her students. She takes time out and helps you understand the material. I am so thankful for her. If you don't like math so much, take her. Not a lot of work. SLA helpful at times. But use her office hours. She's wonderful.
Lots of group work. Average amount of homework....which you should do because she does collect from time to time.
Professor Bailey is very helpful and makes math easy to understand. If you are willing to go to class, take it with her! She gives quizzes almost every week but drops the three lowest at the end. The only thing that sucks is the group project. Other than that, she's a great professor.
I love Professor Bailey she is so NICE. She actually takes time to make sure everyone understands. She never makes you feel dumb. Her explanations are clear and easy to follow. I recommend her to anyone who wants to actually learn something.
She's a great teacher. She teaches math really well, but it is a pretty boring class especially the first few weeks.
Great Prof. No surprises at all. She made me laugh a lot too. The only thing that sucked was the math project, but that was reequired. Easy.
Easy, easy, easy. If you understand math, get her. Her tests and quizzes are simple, and she tells you exactly what is on them. Drops the 3 lowest quizzes, and gave out extra credit on one occasion. The group project sucks, but was very easy. Get her, your gpa will thank you later!
Love Love Love her. This was my second time taking Math 110 because I failed my first try, and im really doing well because she clearly explains and moves at our pace. If you're going to take MTH 110 you MUST take Professor Bailey
I LOVE Professor Bailey. I'm currently in her class and I have absolutely no regrets. She's the nicest, sweetest lady and lives to make sure that everyone understands every single thing before moving onto something else. You get points for attendance and she drops the lowest quiz scores if you end up with a lot of them. She's amazing, take her!!!
Prof. Bailey is okay. She's not bad at instruction but the way she grades tests is horrible. She doesn't give partial credit at all so it drops your grade drastically. Also, the group project is ridiculous and a waste of time.
Tami is a great teacher. The math project sucks, but is required... Her tests are killers, the quizzes are easy, she never checked homework in our class. She can be annoying at times, because she might begin to treat you like an elem. student. But she's nice, if you like math, then you'll like Tami.
Super nice lady! She always goes over problems anyone had on the HW. Tells you what each question on the test is about, good review "?" for test, we even got note cards for some of them. Group project sucks, but projects usually do. Very helpful, was very available for office hours, easy class.
She is a really nice teacher and a is very helpful. Hopefully you dont get extemely ill like me because she has no sympathy.
Although she can be impatient and lose her temper at times she is a decent math teacher. Pretty average, there are profs better than her and there are probably profs worse than she is in the math department.
This professor was decent. She really irritated me because she would not tell us if we had a quiz or not unless you asked. Once you asked, you had to be sure to ask what was on it because you cover at least 3-4 sections which can be totally different because her quizes can be something you learned two weeks ago. If possible find a dif. proffesor.
I enjoyed having Professor Bailey as a teacher. She explains things very clearly, gives a decent amount of homework, not too much or too little. Has pop quizzes almost every week though. Tests were fair but she was a picky grader. Overall I'd recommend her. Really nice and helpful during office hours and in class!
I'm not good at math but she helped me! I did really well, better than I ever thought I could. If you aren't a math person, you have to go to her office hours to get help. If she sees that you are putting the effort, she'll really help you understand. I wasn't afraid to ask her any question. she gives you tips and ideas
I loved professor Bailey. She is so nice and so helpful. She explains everything so well, I used to struggle in math and now it is my best class.
Mrs. Bailey is a PHENOMINAL professor! I hated math, and now it is one of my strongest classes. She is very good at explaining things, she always will make sure everyone gets it before moving on, and she is always in a good mood. Seriously one of the best teachers I have ever had.
Seems mean at first. But actually very nice overall. Good sense of humor. Quiz or two every week, but is easy if you get the basics of the previous lesson. Gives little homework, but make sure you know come test time. Not many questions so each is worth many points.
I thought i did this but i guess not. She is intimidating in class, but actually really nice if you get to know her. Do your work, ask for help if needed and you'll be fine. She has ZERO tolerance for cheaters! (as she should) 2 people got caught on the final and HOOBOY!
Very good professor. We had homework every class but she never collected it, but she said she might. Take notes and pay attention and ask for help on anything even on the smallest thing.
She's incredibly intimidating in class, and generally doesn't like explaining the material she has just gone over. The SLA student instructor was much more helpful, and I'm sure the reason why anyone in our class is passing.
If you can get a different prof, do it. She's not bad, but she doesn't seem to care about math and isn't very good at teaching it. The exams and quizes were easy, but sometimes in class you'll have no idea what's going on.
This professor was probably one of the worse professors I have encountered. She doesn't talk you through how to do any of the problems you are having trouble with she will just simply write them on the board, solve them, and that's the end. She was nice and all but unless you are AMAZING teaching yourself math, I wouldn't reccomend this professor.
She seems a little intimidating at first, but she is very approachable! If you go to her office hours you'll see how friendly she is! She was extremely helpful and explained things very clearly! I would definitely recommend taking this prof!
Prof Bailey is great. She is very helpful in class and is willing to meet students out of class. Exams arent terribly hard if you pay attention in class. Daily homework, but 95% of it isn't turned in. I would def take her again.
I feel bad for someone who doesn't understand math very well with this professor. She is absolutly no help and when you ask a question just does the same exact thing as before. Good luck on her writing assignments that make no sense... And good luck with her. In my opinion... she should stop attempting to teach math because she is terrible at it.
Good professor, willing to help. Very clear when covering material.
While Professor Bailey is a nice person, I would not recommend her to another student unless you have a strong mathematics background. I found the book to be next to useless, attended every class, and for the most part did all the homework but still did not do well on the exams.
She was such a sweetie. I had no interest in taking the class and just had to get it out of the way as a pre-req but she made it tolerable. Quizzes every week, but easy points along with a few easy assignments. Tests weren't very hard. She was super helpful and wanted to make sure all her students knew the material and were going to succeed.
She is very nice and helpful and explains everything really well. She gives out quizzes once a week, but they are quite easy. I would say that the only problem with her is how much homework she gives out, quite a lot. And her writing assignments are confusing and misleading.
Great professor! Super nice and very helpful! Quizzes every week but they are easy if you pay attention in class. Tests aren't bad but she is a tough grader. The writing assignments and explorations can be hard, but she lets you work in groups. She made algebra seem much easier than it was in high school. Highly recommend!
great professor, very nice, helpful, and understanding. definitely recommend her to anyone interested in math.
Overall a decent prof. Gives quizzes once per week that are worth quite a bit of the final grade so make sure to attend class every period. she tends to get a little irritated with people asking questions which I didn't like but overall not a bad prof.
Quizzes every week, tests weren't that bad if you did the homework and reviews and paid attention in class. Very nice lady. It is possible to get an A in her class if you pay attention and take notes and do the homework and ask questions.
Great teacher! She is very clear and organized. Easy to follow, glad to help!
I would not recommend this prof. She gives out many quizzes in which some may only contain 2 questions. I had to dig myself out of a hole because I got one question wrong on a two question quiz. She seems to get irritated whenever someone would ask a question. She is very good with office hours though. She isn't bad, but she isn't good either.
She is a horrible teacher, with very low intercutural compentency. She is ver disrepectful when you ask her a question. Not willing to work with you, not reasonable at all. I wish I would have changed my prof. If you are not strong in math do not take her because she moves extremly fast,a section per day. the quizzes she give once a wk can screw u
Mrs Bailey is a really nice professor! she has time for her students. She answers all the questions. Her well organized way to do things helped me succeed in her class. I would definitely recommend her
Worst Prof I have had at GV. She crams as much into her lectures as possible, without ever making sure people can keep up. I know myself and two others failed or withdrew because we couldn't handle her.
I love Professor Bailey! She is so helpful and kind. She always answers questions that I have and makes sure that everyone knows what's going on. The quizzes are easy and if you pay attention and come to class you are fine. Just don't use your cellphones, she gets pissed about that. She is a great professor. I hate math, but I love her class!!
Bailey is a good teacher, she moves through things very fast. Very open with her office hours and if you take this class as an SLA it's extremely helpful and I recommend it! The SLA teacher gives you all of the questions of the exams and quizzes before hand. Bailey has a surprise quiz every thursday, usually pretty easy.
She is a very nice lady. I went to her office hours every Thursday after my bio lab to ask her to clarify things and help me with certain problems. She is very helpful and really wants her students to succeed. She will take the best 10 exploration assignments.
She was nice at times but other times seemed annoyed that students were asking questions. She rushes through sections and expects you to be done with explorations in very little time. Except for the final, she gives very short notice as to when the upcoming test date is. She's not terrible but there are definitely better professors at Grand Valley.
Bailey is a good prof. She works hard on having people understand material. She is very flexible with office hours. You have to go to class because there is a quiz everyday. The quizzes can be very tricky if you did not do the homework before, but if you did you should be fine. Coming to class is critical. Tests are not hard she tells you what's on
I thought the class was easy but I somehow ended up with a B-. Don't stop working at the class just because it seems too easy, it'll come back to bite you. She's pretty nice and there to help, you could get worse profs.
She's pretty easy, but doesn't like to be asked questions, She always seemed annoyed. I was going to be a math major, I love math but she just a crab. ALSO she hands out a pop quiz every week! So show up to class!
Amazing! I will highly suggest her to anyone. She explains concepts very well and thorough. Willing to explain anything at any time. I will try to get her again.
She is a great person and is really there to help you. She is so nice in her office hours! In her office hours she will seriously help you with anything and be so sweet. Very glad I had her as a professor.
She is an extremely hard grader. The test and quizzes are tricky. She moves fast through the material but is for the most part helpful.
She is majorly confusing. She constantly writes down and teaches the wrong thing, and then corrects it in the end. She tend to have a bad attitude, but she can also be nice. She does do partial grading and posts hmwk probs online. But the fact that she doesn't know how to teach properly and correctly makes this class difficult.
She makes the material easy to understand, but if you are not good at math DONT take her class. She is often rude to those who don't understand quickly. Quizzes on the same day every week. Often messes up her own work and has to be corrected.
She is terrible. Acts like you are a burden if you don't know what you're doing already. Do NOT take her class if you can help it.
I loved Professor Bailey! She was so helpful and more than willing to slow down if anyone was confused. There are quizzes every week but if you participate and do your homework you should be fine. She usually lets you use a note card on every exam which made things much easier!! I would definitely take her again, she's awesome!
No. She could be a great professor, but she isn't. She makes you seem worthless if you ask question. She's a nice human being though... But can not teach.
She knows what she is talking about. She is a good teacher, but a very tough grader. Homework assignments are given every class period. She gives a quiz every single week to assure you are attending class.
Professor Bailey was not my favorite. I found her to be rude sometimes. When asking questions she answers in an annoyed way. Doesn't always give clear directions. Overall, not awful but could be better
Gives quizzes every thursday (if you take her TuesdayThursday). She runs through topics pretty quickly, so keep up and ask questions. UTILIZE HER OFFICE HOURS. she's so helpful one on one.
Mrs. Bailey is a great teacher, she strikes a great balance between challenging and helpful. She assigns work from the book which does provides answers which is great help. She is very willing to help when your stuck. But you need to stay focused in class othewise she will call you out. Her test are okay just remember to study!
She is a awesome teacher just afraid to ask her questions at time because it seems like she will judge you.
She taught the content well, and was clear on what she expected. She made it clear what was going to be on the exams.
I would never take her again, not helpful and feels like she's judging you if you ask a question.
I would definitely recommend Professor Bailey! She is always willing to answer questions if you are confused. She also tells you exactly what will be on the exams and has weekly quizzes. There is also a group project, which shouldn't be too hard if you get a good group!
She would do a couple of examples on the board and say, "get into groups of 3 or 4" and then throws a packet in your face and expects you to know how to do it. She's very moody. One day she is the happiest woman in the world but the next it's like a Chihuahua bit her in the ass. I mostly sit and class and wonder who pissed in her Cheerios.
If you try in this class, you'll get an A. Tami was extremely approachable and really knows the material she is teaching. She uses desmos and really helpful handouts. Homework was due about every other class period but usually you work with a group and turn in one. There was a quiz at the end of the class every Friday. Definitely recommend her!
She at least tries to teach, but its not that well and throws a packet in your face at the end of class. The tests aren't TOO hard.. but the quizzes are. Definitely would NOT recommend this professor!!!
Personally, I disagree with the low ratings some are giving Prof Bailey. She is so kind and cares about each student. It definitely is challenging keeping up with weekly quizzes that are challenging, but that's why we're here. The biggest advise I'd give is to go to her OFFICE HOURS. She loves when you go and trust me... it pays off.
Very difficult to understand and feels like she's judging you for asking questions. She teaches for like ten minutes, then tosses a packet at you for group work. God help you if you don't already have a good grasp on the material or haven't got a tutor outside of class. At least the textbook is free.
If the math center didn't exist, I would not have a good grade in the class, I must spend an hour at the math center in order to understand the homework because she teaches one topic & the homework is completely unrelated. There's a lot of group work & handouts. She seems to get irritated if a student asks a question or doesn't understand.
If you pay attention in class and do the assigned group pages every class period, you will pass with a B or A no problem! She is very nice and is always willing to help you if you're confused. There aren't many tests and one major group project at the end of the semester. There is a free online textbook, so there's no need to buy the actual text.
Although I felt like she didn't do much teaching, the class wasn't bad. If you attend class and do the group assignments, you'll pretty much get a good understanding of everything. She's a very kind woman and is willing to help.
She is a good teacher who knows the material but is not the best at explaining it if you are not good at math. I am pretty good at math so this class was pretty easy for me. She offers a lot of points and drops some of your lowest quiz grades. She has quizzes every friday if you have the class MWF.
She is a nice person but isn't the greatest at communicating with students. If it has been a while since you've taken a algebra class, don't take it with her. She will just write out the equation you will use for the chapter, do a brief explanation of it and expects you to do a whole packet. A lot of group assignments. Good luck.
Im sitting in her class right now and I am sad. She doesn't teach at all and just throws packets at us without explanation. She gives quizzes every week, if you don't understand math DO NOT take her.
Great teacher. Very helpful and nice
The toughest math grader I've ever had. Gives zero slack whatsoever. Her reviews are nothing like the actual exams. Had 5/20 questions on a specific topic on the final review that was not on the final. Glad I wasted so much time. I don't know how she is rated so highly on here. If you understand math take her because she doesn't explain things.
Each class consisted of her doing a couple examples on the board, making us get into small groups and then throwing multiple packets for us to do, and then giving book work and having any packet that wasn't finished also due, then there is a quiz next class. If you go to her office hours she is a lot more caring and helps explain problems better.
Awful professor. Does not explain how to do anything and grades tough. Shes nice but just gives packets and you are tested often. Would never take again.
She seems like a nice person, but not a very good professor. I never understand half the things she is talking about and I am good at math. Whenever I ask a question, she rarely gives detailed answers leaving me confused. Also, her lesson plans seem random so you're not really sure what you're learning about. Utilize the math center and a tutor!
She does not teach the material. Every class she assigns a packet of homework along with several problems from the book. She is available for help outside of class but that does not change the fact that she leaves the learning up to students on their own. I do not recommend taking her.
There is a quiz every Friday, but those are not hard. You take the quizzes and feel confident about taking the exam, then the exam is completely different from anything you were taught. She also rarely teaches you. She wants students to teach themselves or have your table group help explain. I would never take this class with her again
Professor Bailey gave limited notes in class but had you work with group members to figure things out which helped you to better learn it on your own. She was always happy to help if you didn't understand things. I felt the tests were easy if you did the study guides. I recommend her for sure!
She is a nice person but she doesn't know how to teach all she does is maybe give one example on the board and then gives you a packet and expects you to be able to do it with your group and then it turns into homework on top of other homework that she gives. Class isn't super hard just frustrating since she doesn't teach very well.
Prof. Bailey was extremely nice and goes out of her way for her students. At times, some of the in class group activities seem pointless but I found it helpful especially for tests. TAKE HER!!
She is super nice and always willing to help, you definitely have to work for that class and math center is really helpful in order to do good. Not much grading on homework, however quizzes every week.
Professor Bailey is a sweetheart. If you show up to class and pay attention you will easily pass. Shes personable and would help you in a heartbeat. Theres quizzes every Friday where she cares more about the work than the answers. She does a lot of group work packets which will help you understand concepts better. I recommend taking her class.
She gives you like 1 example during lecture and expects you to be able to figure out the rest of the homework that she doesnt cover, on your own. She also doesnt give extra credit so basically if you are failing you're screwed.
she is the sweetest woman on the planet, she's the reason I like math! definitely taking her again!!! if you have the chance to go to her office hours there is no way you could get a low grade. she wants everyone to do well and is always available after class.
Doesn't put grades in quickly so I had a C for most of the semester but other than that she's a good teacher but better 1-on-1. I learn better when they explain step by step but she usually just wrote the problem out and then barely explained after. She constantly has office hours so if you're struggling she's available for help. very nice woman.
Prof Bailey is very nice and helpful if you ask. I definitely recommend going to her office hours if you are struggling because she will help you with whatever you dont understand. The first 2 weeks of the class are definitely the hardest, so if you can make it through those weeks then you should be fine :) Also pop quizzes once a week.
Tami is so sweet! Her class is more of group-based learning, so it is kind of a learns it yourself, class. If you're familiar with the content the class isn't hard. If you need help with anything she is always more than welcome to help you. Again, it is group-based so make sure you like the people you sit with! Overall, a kind teacher.
Prof. Bailey is super sweet and really cares about her students. She will answer ANY math question you have and is quick to respond to emails. She's a super quick grader which is great because I'm always anxious to know my test scores, and in her class they were always good because her tests are very fair. She tells you what will be on them.
A lot of work went into earning my A, but I have to say she is a great and caring professor. I'm terrrrrrible at math and still earned an A. She will go over all your homework questions if you ask. Quizzes every Friday are rough but they help!
Very unorganized class, very nitpicky grader and expectations are very unclear. Prepare to spend more time finding her assignments than actually doing them, and don't expect quick responses on questions, because she doesn't respond for at least 24 hours.
Prof Bailey is great she struggled with technology at first but got the hang of it. She is super helpful and I really liked her class! I would take again!
Would not recommend taking her. i took trig online w her and was lost the entire time. only does examples very fast in lecture and never explains concepts ever. when someone asks her to explain something she does it in a very confusing way and struggles sometimes. take someone else if you can
Prof Bailey is a sweet woman but online isn't her strong suit. The class often had to teach ourselves (this is trig, too). Doesn't teach very well in an online setting.
Professor Bailey is an extremely kind woman. She is very caring and understanding- responds quickly and truly wants to get to know her students even in an online setting. It helps to get to know her in return, she will help whenever she can if she feels you are really trying. The content can be difficult and you teach yourself sometimes!
Prof. Bailey is a very kind lady and always encouraged us to ask questions. I really appreciated all the time she would use for going over homework if we needed it. However, as someone who was a good math student in high school, I kinda struggled to understand a lot of things in this class. She wasn't the greatest at actually teaching the material.
Professor Bailey is a nice lady but horrible at teaching. She would go over the example problems so fast and would stand right in front of the board so you couldn't see what she was doing. She never actually taught in class, just expects you to learn everything from the book and hopes you know what you are doing in the end. Definitely stay away!!!!
Bailey is the most unorganized and confusing professor I have ever had. I do not recommend her for any class. I have had to take her 2 times for Algebra and Trig. This is the worst professor I have run into. She cares about students but the class is pure chaos and does not make any sense. I had to teach myself the entire class in order to pass.
She's super nice, but she is one of the worst professors I've ever had. Expect to learn the ENTIRE class's material yourself, she's basically useless. Avoid this class.
Prof Bailey does not know how to teach. We ask for help in class and she tells us she doesn't know and we should go to the math tutoring center instead. She grades test and quizzes very heavily and it's the only thing you're graded on. She assumes we know what she's doing on the board with no extra explanation. I do not recommend her as a prof.
She is a very nice person but not the best teacher. My strongest subject is math and I struggled slightly in this class due to her teaching style. You can look up videos on YouTube or Khan Academy to help you, so if you have that kind of time, it's not too bad. Pop quizzes every Friday.
Professor Bailey is extremely nice, but is not the best teacher. Pop quiz on most Fridays, but they weren't too difficult. She went much faster than any other professor I have which made the material confusing. This is the first algebra class I haven't gotten an A in.
She doesn't teach anything, we are expected to already know everything. She just puts equations on the board without explaining how to do it or even what it is. Expect to earn everything by yourself.
Not organized at all, basically writes the problem on the board and does not explain it, when someone asks a question she will partially attempt to answer but all students still end up confused. Don't miss the weekly quiz or multiple tests, no make ups. Be prepared to teach yourself this course.
Professor Bailey tries to help her students understand everything, but she is not the best explainer. There is quizzes every week so don't miss those. She is a tough grader, tests are worth a lot. She does not put in all the worksheets you do until the end of the semester so you will not know your grade going into the final until the very end.
I loved Professor Bailey so much. She wrote me a letter of recommendation! This class was genuinely so easy. There was only one unit I struggled with, but she cleared up most of the confusion I had. She never checks if homework is done, but I recommend doing it if a topic confuses you. There are quizzes every Friday, so make sure to study.
she is a very nice lady but is terrible at teaching. She is not good at explaining the topics at all. she gives you the formula and expects you to be experts on it right afterward. She throws packets at you the first day the formula is given and expects you to fly through it. I have never seen a class as a whole being so utterly confused.
She was probably the worst math teacher I have ever had but she is very nice and is willing to work with you if you missed a graded quiz or assignment. She genuinely wants her students to succeed but her teaching style is meh. She never fully answers questions and often gets confused while working out problems. Very nice but would not take again.
Professor Bailey is kind, but the class can be tough. Do the homework, use resources like unstuckstudy ai, and you'll be fine. Quizzes every Friday, so stay on top of the material.
Professor Bailey was one of the nicest professors I've had, but one of the WORST teachers. She writes out the exact same notes from the textbook on the board and then expects you to know what you are doing. I actually did better on tests when I taught the material to myself. Be prepared to teach yourself the entire class.
She is easily one of my nicest professors, however, she was a terrible teacher. She just writes things on the board with little to no explanation. I had to teach myself all of the material. She gives quizzes every single friday. One nice thing she does do if you do miss a quiz you can make it up but it HAS to be before the next class period.
Very nice professor, not the best at explaining things. Sometimes gets confused during problems, so make sure you're paying attention. Homework every class but it was how I learned the material. She goes over a lot of examples in class. Tough grader on tests, so make sure you reread your answers. Not awful but not the best prof I've had.
Do not take this class. No explanation of any of the material. "Pop quizzes every Friday" but will randomly do one on a Monday with no heads up. No makeup for quizzes even if you are sick. No organization of this course at all. DO NOT TAKE
worst professor i've ever had. Doesn't go in depth on any material and expects you to understand everything. Take college algebra with a different professor.
This professor is extremely unprofessional. Asks you to hand in assignments that cover material half the class is confused and doesn't thoroughly explain anything. I usually excel in math courses and this one gave me a hard time. I ended up teaching myself all of the content. Go with a different professor if you can.
Take any other prof if you can. Normally do very well in every math class but not with her. She did not teach and was often confused by the material she was supposed to be teaching the class. Exams and quizzes are nothing like what is covered in class. Eventually started skipping her class to just learn on my own instead. AVOID.
I had to basically teach myself. There were some days in class where she wouldn't say a single word when solving equations on the board until someone finally voiced our collective confusion. Many times, she would even solve things incorrectly until someone realized, then never explained the correct way to do the problems.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. She FREQUENTLY confuses herself on the material she is supposed to be teaching, and even gets problems wrong, then needs to be corrected/helped by students(regularly!) No joke, she has told us to watch youtube to learn the a unit. Don't be fooled by other ratings, she may be "nice" but that does not mean she can teach a course!
All she does is briefly explain concepts for 10–15 minutes, then hands out packets. Only one is turned in per table, so not everyone engages. Every Friday there's a quiz, but with little real instruction, it's hard to learn. Just giving packets defeats the point of coming to class.
She's nice, but teaches like a high school class. Very disorganized, and be prepared to teach yourself everything because she just puts examples on the board, does them herself, and then hands out packets. The final is cumulative and everyone has to take it- worth 150 points, and you'll have to YouTube everything for prep. Find a different prof.
Please, for the love of God, don't take her course she's horrible. We usually have an exam on Fridays, and she typically tells us what the exam will cover so we can study ahead of time. But for some reason, today she said her earlier class struggled with it, so she changed the original exam to something else, and everyone was confused and lost.
Unclear and inconsistent grading criteria, unorganized lectures. Overwhelming amount of homework with unclear expectations and not maximizing in class time. I hope the math department does something, if they need proof speak with her students.
no clear requirements for attendance or homework and INCREDIBLY bad at explanations (she never actually answer your question)
Overall a nice lady and a solid prof. She's not really the best at in-depth explanations, but I think she makes up for it by being a fair grader. Math's always been my worst subject, but I've had 80% or more on my tests so far. Pretty good.
she just immediately jumps into curriculum and expects you to know what to do right away. Asking questions didnt help. Every other week there were unannounced quizzes.
Professor Bailey isn't as bad as people say. If you do the work, you'll be fine. She cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Expect pop quizzes every Friday with no make-ups. She teaches like a high school teacher and sometimes confuses herself, but extra help makes the class manageable.
I haven't taken a math course in four years. At first the class was extremely hard. Her lectures are very baseline and cover the basics. DO THE HOMEWORK, there are so many questions from the homework that are on quizzes and exams, which made them fairly easy. I am terrible at math and still did fine. Do the work and ask questions.
