Very good teacher, she leaves HW often but nothing extreme probrably a page essay per every 2 weeks and a five page essay per month DO NOT BUY THE BOOKS til you absolutely sure you gonna use them, and if you do use them probrably for 1 story or 2. The first day of class I was afraid to have that class but the next class I was like I was stupid to think of dropping the class.I learned in this class and enjoyed it.I agree with most of the comments student write for her except few.I can understand that some students can't take the professor those who really make sure you understand the course.

Extremely nice professor

I dont know why students give her bad ratings. She likes the class to socialize so rather its the students choice whether they want an interesting class or not. Our class spent a lot of time expressing our thoughts and learned in a fun and communicative way. She is very flexible with dates and some class topics are controversial and appealing. A+++

She is the best prof. I see a lot of comment saying that she can not teach...mmm, I don't feel that way at all. Well, she really like to make students speak in the class, I feel it is fun. And everything she teach is pretty clear and easy to understand. Also the paper is simple as well. Take her!!! She is a good prof.

Will..., I just don't understand why people give her bad rate. She like to make students participate in the class and discuss materials with us. She like to listen to student's opinion and comment. There is no midterm, just a final and 3 papers. Papers is quiet easy and is about 2-3 pages.

Excellent professor, very flexible and is great at explaining the artistic meaning behind the poetry we covered. she gave no test just 8 journal entries that were simple and 2 papers that she gives you the opportunity to revise for a better grade. She is so far the best teacher Ive had at QCC. I look forward to taking my english elective with her=)

I'm currently taking Prof. Rothmans EN 101 class. We're nearing the end of the semester. I must say - she is the second most competent, easygoing and enjoyable professor I've had at QCC. Shes engaging, a great listener, encourages discussion and gives A LOT of helpful feedback on papers. Class & T.Rothman are excellent for those who enjoy writing!

She is GREAT! Very helpful, and very fair! Also if you really want to test your abilities as a writer; she will kinda make you go certain ways in order for you to express your creativity!

I took her for a PNET class that only met on Mon. but felt like we met everyday. She gives a ton of work out and all the work assignment are submitted through BB. Her grading scale is bogus. My overall average was a 90 but she gave me a B. Do not take HER.

She is such a nice lady!, you can tell she really cares for her students and is understanding when you have a problem. she is such a easy grader, she does take long to grade things, what you have to do in her class is 12 discussion boards, two papers and a group group. honestly i hated the group project because its all rushed,

if you take the 2 hour class once a week, you will do fine in the class, she doesn't really teach , she grades you off of the discussion boards, papers and group projects, quiz, test, you don't even need to by the books just read the posts other students wrote and write it in your own words and you'll still get the full point

Took her for the summer and it was the best class I have ever taken! She's honestly a sweetheart, she kept the class interesting and was always willing to help us ! I wish I can take another class with her take her you won't regret it!!!

Out of the many humans in this world, Professor Rothman is one of the greatest people I have ever come across. Her heart is way too big that it is uncomfortable sometimes to know humans can possibly be so loving, supportive, nurturing and allowing her heart to melt the hard heartedness of stubborn beings.

She is a wonderful teacher. I enjoyed her classes. Participation is greatly appreciated. Literature choices are sometimes provocative, therefore, interesting to read. You need to do your homework and participate. She is there to help!

Professor Rothmans is just the best no joke. I never took a class which was so easy could get an A. She made class easy and calm, we wrote about only two papers when I took her and they weren't hard. If want an essay A take professor Rothman she just amazing

Rothman is a very easy-going professor. She treated her students with respect and takes the assignments step by step. There's no pop quiz or exams, other than the final. In the middle of the semester, she will tell you where your grade is heading towards and how you can make it to an A. She got everyone breakfast while we were doing interviews.

Great professor. We had 2 one page essays, one group project and a final. We also had to fill up 50 pages in our notebooks by the end of the semester, it could be anything even notes from another class. She gives you a second chance on essays if you don't like your grade. We also read many passages in class .I would take her again.

Professor Rothman class is easy if you do the work. It was a PNT course, we met once a week and assignments were given every week on blackboard. We read two books and did 11 class discussions on blackboard. There's a few reflections thrown in there, a short story, a group project and the final is a paper(2-3 pages). She doesn't give any exams.

Tammi Rothman is a heaven sent professor. She's super sweet and a wonderful professor who's blackboard assignments are very easy and gives 2 2-3 page papers that are very easy also. Prof. Rothman is the best English professor in QCC. If you see her name for any english class, choose her! She is very nice and open to help you. English 102 has 3 essays. A 1.5-2page paper, 2-3page paper, and a 4page paper. Topics are very interesting. No exams except final exam which is open book! There is homework but not too much!

Prof. Rothman, definition of phenomenal. There are plenty homework assignments which is expected since it's writing intensive. There are 3 papers. One 3 page, one 2 page, one 2-3 page paper. No exams, no quizzes. Class topic varies per semester (mine was science fiction). She is so caring and understanding! Take this professor! You won't regret it!

I loved taking her class. She is so well organized and very detailed so the instructions were all very clear. If you follow her lectures, you will get a good grade. Not a heavy workload but enough for you to understand what she's teaching.

Im happy I taken her she is very clear with her assignments so there is barely any confusion and she gives reminders. Participation does matter though make sure to do the discussion boards and assignments she asks. She is always willing to give feedback on the essays before submission so far she only made us do two.

Ms Rothman is the BESTTTT professor i have ever taken. Gives great feedback, very understanding, very helpful. Her mini videos are very informative and relevant to the assignments. Professor Rothman is a sincere, well-spoken instructor. I took her online class in the fall of 2021. She does give many written assignments, but she explains each assignment perfectly. One thing that she does well is give feedback on all assignments. If you have a question, she will answer you promptly. If you are required to take 102, take her!!

I took Professor Rothman's ENG101 course during the spring 2024 semester and let me tell you, she is a gem of a person. You'll appreciate her grading and teaching methods.
