She is a new Professor to UCF. Very Friendly. Tries to make class interesting for the students. East class as long as you make an attempt. Just make sure you read the reading she assigns.

Must attend class b/c she gives a daily "one minute paper" which is just a response to a question she gives from the assigned reading; has guest speakers, unique/funny powerpoints, shows hopsitality related videos and overall is a good teacher.
Tammie is a really good prof and she has a true passion for the hospitality industry. As long as you show up and read her assignments, you are set to do well in the class. I recommend Dr. Kaufman for this class!!
Easy class if you go, take good notes, and do the readings. She's really nice and funny. Gives you candy on your birthday and hands out candy if you answer questions to keep you awake. Very nice teacher!
I loved this class! She gave out Blow Pops if you answered her questions. Tammie is laid-back and loves hospitality! If you need to talk to her outside of class, she will make time for you. Also, she emails back quickly.
Very easy class. She is so nice, and laughs at herself, and made the class enjoyable. Gives opportunities for a lot of extra points
Such an easy class! So much fun! She's a wonderfull teacher, and even though she has an easy class you actually larn something! There's pleanty of extra credit opportunities, and she grades on a curve! Lots of quizzes so do the reading, she gives free answers
TAKE THIS CLASS! This has been the best, easiest class I have taken yet! She is fun, and gives away answers on quizzes and tests ALL the time! She lets you out of class at least 15 minutes early without fail...it really can't get any easier!
Dr. Kauffman is very passionate about Hospitality and it rubs off on you. She takes a boring subject and turns it into a good class. She is always willing to help and a lot of fun. Take as many classes as you can with her!
She is a really easy teacher and she's really nice. Take her if you can.
easy! dont have to try to get a B if you do you can get an A
Tammie ROCKS!
Easy A. Very excited about teaching us about the industry. I would deffinitaly take her again
Go to class, pay attention and you're good to go. She picks up on who's there and not there and will help you out. Good classes too! I had her for Lodging and Timeshare
She is a great teacher I had her last semester and she continues to be on eof the best professors I've had at UCF If she can't answer a question for you then she will go out and find the answer and tell you later once she knows.
It is great how passionate she is about her field... I wasn't a hospitality major until I took her class:)
An amazing professor! For summer, kept class short but very interesting. Makes material easy and a really nice person! Hope I can take her again!
I love her, everytime you get an answer right she gives you a blowpop! She's awesome!!
dr. kaufman is a great teacher! she's so nice and her class is a lot of fun. she does give you blow pops and you watch documentaries, have speakers, and use power point handouts. take her class, you'll love it!!!
WONDERFUL Prof!! She does give out candy if you participate and she is so interesting! She brings in good speakers I love her class!
AWESOME LADY! You learn a lot, but she makes it fun. . .great guest speakers, easy tests, and she gives you blow pops!
She is awesome. You learn so much and if you try she is willing to help you in anyway. Quizes are easy but informative. I enjoyed attending this class. i would deff recomend this class to everyone.
Fun, nice, funny, and easy. Take her classes!
Class was very easy...there's 4 tests and you drop the lowest grade or just don't take the final...she's a great professor! Take her if you can...
I took it just as an elective to see what hospitality was all about, and she has definatly made it look like fun! She gives out candy for birthdays and participation. Shes also very fast responding to personal emails. She made the class enjoyable with her goofy clip art and fun guest speakers!
Easiest teacher you will ever have. Only problem is that she isn't that knowledgeable about the hospitality industry, if you ask her a question, she will tell you that she doesn't know and will find out for you.
shes awsome.. great person.. and knowledgable
She is so helpful and really wants to make sure her students are grasping the information. Her tests are easy as long as you read over your notes and study what she tells you. Awesome teacher - take her for Timeshares! I learned a lot.
Probably the easiest professor I will ever have at UCF! You would have to be totally brain dead to not get an A in the class, as long as you attend class. Dr. Kaufman gives random quizzes from the reading, but they are always easy. She also shows videos and gives out blow pops!
AWESOME! She is so nice! Definately wants to help her students! If she doesnt know the answer she finds it! LOVE HER! Thanks Professor Kaufman!
This class is easy if you try. spread over a lot of course material. some of the speakers are cool, some I felt like they we trying to sell me timeshare.
BORING CLASS!!! Easy teacher. Quizzes are cake. Make sure you're in class, helps you out more. Class is extremly boring, but stay alert and awake and you might get an A.
Very nice and sweet teacher! if you have to take this class, take this teacher! just go to class, and you will get attendance points that counts as quizzes and the tests are easy. and there is a lot of extra credit. and she emails reviews before the exam.

Requirement, but really easy even if you don't care about timeshare (like I don't), she makes it interesting. I recommend her!
um i got over a 100 in this class... i really enjoyed it but make sure you do all the reading for it- it helps a lot and it is kind of interesting. also, professor kaufman is really understanding and helpful if you take the time and show up for class every day- make sure youre there and if you cant be just tell her in advance shell understand.
VERY sweet lady. Class is very easy and she gives you lots of chances for extra credit. Tests are not hard as long as you briefly look over the material and know the specific things she puts on the review sheet. You should get an A as long as you go to class, read the powerpoint slides and pay attention in class. She knows her hospitality.
Really easy teacher. Gives a lot of extra credit. Tests are not really that hard. You kind of have to go to class, one for the extra credit and two because the test questions come straight from the class time. Just go to class and do the extra credit and you will get an A.
She is horrible! This was supposed to be a guest services class- not time share management. She was unprepared for class, unclear on expectations, and generally incompetent. What a waste of time!
Easy class...fun teacher
Love her! Had her for intro too. She explains everything really well, gives out candy and makes this class fun. Opp for extra credit too. Take her!
Not ready to teach graduate level classes. Very unclear and unsure about what she wants for assignments.
Great Teacher
If you want an easy easy A! take if you want a GPA booster.
I don't know why people are bashing her. It's true, she is a little bit disorganized, but very helpful and understanding. I had a lof of fun taking her class and if you put some work info her assingments, it is an easy "A"
The only professor I would bother rating. It's an easy class and you actually learn something. I found it pretty interesting and the professor is pretty laid back. Brought it professionals from the field to speak to the class which was pretty cool. Even gives extra credit, but you don't really need it.
This professor doesn't know how to teach..... She gives us quiz almost every class. Attendance is very important. Her test is 50% are T&F. She will not give us test review. Need to read a book.
This class is one of the easiest classes to pass. All you have to do is show up for her many quizzes (5 questions) and pass her tests (33 questions) - both of which are all multiple choice and T & F. Gives extra credit, but you won't really need it. She is pretty corny so watch out for her jokes.
This class was a joke. The Attendance quizzes I didn't have to read for because they were common sense. The tests I didn't study for, I got an A- in the class and the final is optional. Not much effort needed...never paid attention because Timeshares are boring
If you read all the materials assigned to the class, show up to every class, and participate, Timeshare management is an easy A. Kaufman was a delightful teacher and more flexible that many at Rosen. I'd take a class from her anytime.
Timeshare class is very easy. Alot of quizzes on simple reading asssignments. Grades on 3 tests and (atleast 10) random quizzes. Would reccommend this class. She's laid back.
If you took her in the Prin. of Timeshare then I'd suggest this as an easy elective...plus she's really funny and easy to get along with
taught nothing learned nothing
75% of grade is 3 tests, 25% is online quizzes. EASY, just read what she tells you to read, which isn't much at all. Don't take if you want to learn anything... info is EXTREMELY repetitive. Sorry but kinda boring too. Easy & pleasant class experience. Take it if you have a big courseload in your other classes. Makes a great 5th class for semester!
This is the only sales class at Rosen. Good to take even if ur not into timeshare, cuz you'll always be "selling yourself" when u graduate" :) Plus, Dr. K. is awesome!
Do the quizzes and read the book. The tests are questions that are from both. Replaces lowest score with final - if needed.
EASY class. I took this as Mixed mode and all it was, was quizzes every week and 3 tests, final optional. No text book. Timeshares is probably the MOST BORING subject at Rosen and it is ridiculous, needless to say this class is an easy A though.
Professor Kaufman is the best! She is kind, funny, helpful and easy! Take it during your birthday semester to get her homemade goody bag :D No book, attendance is optional, Lots of EC, and interesting. 3 Tests/Optional Final; comes directly from quizzes. I had an 88% but because I participated she gave me an A. Great Prof, take her!!
The class overall is very easy due to liberal grading policy, lots of extra credit and no attendance required. That being said, the in class tests can be rather tough with random questions that were just talked about briefly. She is quite nice however and very willing to help.
Really easy A. She does quizzes online and does three tests. That's it. She is really nice. Doesn't take attendance but she said she would next semester but we will see. You don't use the book that much. You do read a little book which is not bad at all and there is a lot of questions on the quizzes from that little book. Got an A in the class.
Took her for a second class because I knew the drill. Even though attendance is not mandatory - COME TO CLASS. Her class is filled with random things that will be on the test that you wont know unless you come. Also on the typical days that everyone misses (after spring break, etc) she almost always gives out extra credit points.
Great teacher! Wish she taught something other than timeshares because she is great. If you have any questions she will answer and help you understand. Gave us the day before Thanksgiving off and day of the home football game off. Very mellow. Take her for sure.
GREAT TEACHER! Def. take her! I could care less about timeshares but she made it interesting. Very laid back atmosphere in her class. She's funny and nice. She'll help you out if you need it but class is pretty simple. Pop quizzes for attendance that you can almost always figure out when they r going to be. Birthday? she gives out candy bags.
She really loves timeshare. Class isnt mandatory but there are popquizzes (super easy) so you have to go to class. weekly quizzes and the test questions come straight from the quizzes and powerpoints. Lots of opportunities for extra credit. take this class for an easy A
Took timeshare class. Class is boring, with random pop quizes for attendance. Option final after 3 tests. Every week online quiz. All relativly ez.Optional online discussion. I found her jokes to be annoying but why not laugh in such an ez class. TAKE HER
REALLY ?!? Take it only for a 5th class when you really need another class. Very easy and laid back class.
She is really easy. All the quizes are online just do the reading and it is even easier. All her exams are pretty uch everything on the quizzes and the stuff she talks about from her owerpoints. She takes attendance 5 times through out the semester. Easy greade plus she is really nice.
Fairly easy class. Attendance not mandatory but she does pop quizzes 5 times throughout the semester. Easy material, usually straight from the online quizzes that are done every week. No need to buy the book. Best part? No group projects or presentations! Very sweet lady, take her!
Take Timeshare Management with Ms. Kaufman online. You have tests every week, but the Power Point presentations and small reading assignments are very straight forward. It's a very manageable A!
EXCELLENT professor, highly recommend! Timeshare online is based off of a quiz each week and discussion posts for extra credit. No textbook, no worries. Her powerpoints explain everything so definitely watch them. One of the best online classes at Rosen, I promise!
I took Tourism online with her and I highly recommend it! You have a quiz each week and you can do discussions for extra credit. Very straightforward and interesting class. There is a book and it helps to have it although I didn't spend a lot of time reading it. Expect to learn a lot AND have an easy A!
Dr. Kauffman, is terrific! Quiz each week, and discussion posts for extra credit! Quizzes are fairly simple, yet some questions can be difficult. Watch/listen to the powerpoint and use reading materials. Wish she had a textbook for reference. Highly recommend!!
Such an easy class, but you still learn a lot! More classes should be like this. Only 12 quizzes the whole semester and one is dropped. This makes up your entire grade. There is also a "discussion" question posted about once every three weeks. If you complete every one then she will bump you up to the next grade level if you are within 3 points.
She is an amazing professor. The online assignments were super clear and easy. Even though it was an online class, I could tell she wanted to connect with her students. I would love to take her again!
I've taken an online course with Professor Kaufman twice now. I enjoy the structure of the course because there are online lectures that you have to listen to. My only complaint is that half of the quiz questions are nowhere to be found and the extra credit due dates are hard to keep up with.
This class is not a cake-walk or anything close to basket-weaving. It is an interesting course that shows the types of tourism around the world. Quizzes are not as easy as what people say. You really need some time to focus on the articles in order to really pull the grade you want. Good news is the fact that she will throw out questions too.
This class is not a cake-walk or anything close to basket-weaving. It is a rather interesting but difficult class. Timeshares are hard to comprehend, which is why some do not do well on the quizzes. Good news is the fact that she will throw out questions too. The extra credit really helped me though.
Expect to take a good amount of time each week to read and listen to all the material she provides. It's fairly a straight-forward online class only consisting of a 30 min timed quiz each week. Gives extra credit by completing about 7 short discussions through-out the semester. Drops one quiz grade. Very well with communicating! Highly Recommend!
I love her. Would take her every chance I get. 13 quizzes and extra credit. Doesnt even require a textbook
Very easy & straight-forward. 12 quizzes, one dropped at the end, & she offers extra credit by doing 7 discussion posts throughout the semester, but i never did any & still passed the class with an A. she does use the textbook for some quizzes, other times it'll be PPTs, articles and what not, but VERY easy. just read. totally recommend her!!!
Easy class. She is a very nice and understanding. Literally just follow her modules and read and do the quiz each week & u have an A. Tests can be a little tricky, just make sure to actually read & take notes. Offers extra credit if u do ALL the optional discussions. Very easy class that helps when u have a million stressful others. No Textbook req
I took Professor Kaufman for Timeshare Management online and I would highly recommend it. The material is interesting and the quizzes are very straightforward. Your grade is based only off of the quizzes you take throughout the semester. f you read the material and listen to the presentation, you should easily get an A.
She literally just destroys the timeshare industry and tells you everything that is wrong with the industry and her bad time with it. Doesn't make you buy the textbook but tests and quizzes are based off lecture and online reading. Easy A with work, but if you are wanting to do timeshare as a possible career I'd advise you choose another professor.
This class wasn't difficult but you have to put in a lot of work. 13 modules, 13 quizzes (1 dropped), 94 is cutoff for an A, not work at your own pace. Get the textbook, actually read what she tells you to, and make sure when you have to watch long videos that you type out your notes. Take her if you can spend three hours a week on this class.
Not much homework besides one big ProSims assignment and three test. The ProSims can take a lot of time but is pretty easy. She's very nice and super funny. Gives you many opportunities for extra credit.
I was nervous to take this course because our grade was based off of 12 quizzes only (none dropped bc hurricane Irma) but the quizzes were easy if you read the material! She also offers extra credit, and the videos you watch for the discussions on that are both interesting and funny. Great professor!
Dr. Kaufman is amazing! She is so hilarious and her lectures were actually super fun and engaging. Class had 3 tests which were online and as long as you read the Powerpoints weekly you would do fine. ProSim took time, but was interesting. She gives you many opps for extra credit, so take advantage. Outstanding, down to Earth professor who gets it!
I took Dr. Kaufman completely online for this class. The quizzes were all that our grade was based on and they were 30 questions each. A good amount of reading was required with a recommended 6 hours dedicated to the class each week. She offered plenty of extra credit and dropped your lowest quiz grade. I would recommend her!
This is the second class I have had with Dr. Kaufman and I would recommend her, especially for the online version of this class. The class was only graded by weekly quizzes and a prosim that we did over the semester. She also provides an extra credit opportunity that involves writing about several episodes of a show related to the course.
She is a good teacher with funny stories. Your homework is this little game you play on the computer and she gives weekly extra credit, all you have to do is watch either bar rescue or kitchen nightmares and write about it. Super easy. Sadly she had a lot of medical problems so we didnt get to finish with her.
Absolutely great teacher, very sweet, informative, and gave weekly reminders via announcements as to what was due in the upcoming days. Takes the time to provide individual feedback, both praise or criticism on students' papers and projects. 10/10
My favorite class I have taken at UCF. Do your work and get an A. Super fun class along with an amazing professor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Dr. Kaufman knows a lot about the industry. But be aware, You WILL need the textbook, the tests are challenging and you need to actually pay attention during the recorded lectures and read the textbook. The simulation is also required but isn't difficult, just tedious. Overall not a difficult class, but Dr. Kaufman will make you work for that A
Dr. Kaufman is a engaging professor who makes the content fun. The class has a challenging simulation but offers plenty of extra credit. Unstuck ai was super helpful for test prep.
Dr. Kaufman is great! Her class is super straight forward, there's 9 quizzes, 11 virtual business simulations, and five discussion boards that are all optional and extra credit. One of the few summer classes where I actually didn't feel overwhelmed. Quizzes are a little tricky but not too bad and she always adds extra credit after to help out.
