Amazing professor! Tammy is so enthusiastic about accounting that she makes the course surprisingly enjoyable. Exams are multiple choice, and they reflect the homework. She prepares study guides and handouts for students prior to exams. She also gave out some extra credit in addition to the curve. Would absolutely take her another course with her!
Study for tests
She is a really great teacher and works very hard at making the material interesting and easy to understand. I bought the physical book however not really needed. The class has on online portion that uses connect and its really helpful with comprehending the material. She offers extra credit and grades on a little bit of a curve.
She is an awesome teacher that I would recommend to anyone . She is willing to spend any amount of time after class to make sure you understand . Would recommend her to all my friends, she's hilarious and entertaining. TAKE HER OVER ANYONE ELSE.
Ms. Perri is fantastic ! She loves teaching and is always enthusiastic. Her class consisted of chapter hw and quizzes which are helpful and not worth that much as well as 3 exams and one cumulative final. Go to class, take notes and study the materials she provides and you'll do fine. I got a 99% in the class! She also offers some extra credit
Professor Perri is very honest and clear about what is expected. She made having a class where most assignments are done online not so bad. THE BOOK IS YOUR LIFE! Test is notes + book facts
Wish she taught 202! She is nice and helpful, but this class overall is hard, which is not her fault, so you HAVE TO STUDY! It's accounting. I studied my hardest for this class and got an A with hard work.
Amazing professor! She is very clear with her lectures and makes sure that you actually undestand the material instead of droning on. She doesn't just read off the slides, she actually explains the material and gives lots of good, relevant examples. She also gave lots of chances for extra credit. I really wished she taught 202!
Great teacher. Available for help if needed. Cares about the students and wants to make sure you learn and tests are fair.
Great teacher, made accounting easy for me to understand. She's really nice and funny. Tries to make lectures funny, does have homework, guizzes, exams. You need to study for her exams. Homework is ok and quizzes are easy.
Completely disorganized.. The week of finals and grading criteria is still not clear at all. The syllabusbook was completely useless and her lectures are basically reading powerpoints. She is very knowledgeable, it's the fact that she can't express the knowledge in a way that isn't completely boring. With all of the work being digital...
Unfortunetely she is your only choice. My advice is to get tutoring or a friend to help you. Her tests are ridiculous and do not match the format of her noteshomeworkstudy guides. If she would have the tests more clearly written and in the same format as everything else, I would have gotten an A.
Ms Perri is a great professor! She is funny and makes the class enjoyable. Always answers questions and ensures her students understand the material. Definitely do the reading before class, it will make a huge difference.
Because of Ms. Perri I decided to switch my major to accounting. Was a very good professor. Knows what she's doing. If you pay attention and give effort you'll pass. Weekly online homework is tedious but its helpful and worth a grade.
The homework is insanely long for no reason. ESPECIALLY THE LEARNSMARTS. The homework requires you to do a lot of math and general accounting by the books, but the exam reflects none of this. There is very little to no actual accounting done on the exam and it's all memorization that she doesn't even cover. Read the book. Class/Professor is trash.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I HAVE TAKEN HER TWICE AND FAILED! I am convinced that it is her teaching methods she moves too fast and there is not enough time in between test I wish she wasn't the only one teaching for spring semester.
Ms. Perri is a great professor. The subject is tough for some, but if you dedicate time to the class you will pass. I'm receiving an 'A', but that's because I did all the LearnSmart modules, and HW before each exam. I disagree with some reviews because she is open to student questions, and will repeat herself to ensure that everybody understands.
Professor Perri was a very good teacher. She breaks down each chapter very well and makes sure that you understand everything with examples. Go to class and read the book and you will do fine.
Very easy class. Any comment saying that the test dont reflect what she teaches are very wrong. I have never written about a teacher before because they all are the same but she is provides the most ways for you to understand the topics and gives exam review. Most helpful professor ever. Do your learnsmarts! And the modules before the exam!
Do the work and get a good grade. Because of her I am considering ACC major. Tests are a little tough but just because it's a tough subject. She gives a few extra credit opportunities. Attendance not mandatory. About to take final, I know exactly what I need to get to keep the A I have now. 3 tests, 100 pts and final 200 pts, most of grade.
The class itself was a work in progress as far as organization, but I ended up thoroughly enjoying it by the end of the semester. Professor Tandy is entirely likable and has a lot of experience in gaming auditing. She also brought in some interesting guest speakers to help provide different perspectives.
SHE HAS A LOT OF HOMEWORK AND SHE'S YOUR ONLY CHOICE FOR 201,I WORKED SO HARD TO GET GOOD SCORES SHE'S NOT THAT BAD ALSO SHE'S HELPFUL,YOU MUST STUDY IF YOU ARE A CHEATER STUDENTLOL AT THIS CLASS YOU CANT CHEAT AT ALL SINCE SHE HAS 4 MONITORS,HER AND 4 DIFFERENT CURRICULA AND SHE WILL POST YOUR SEAT ON WEBCAMPUS SO STUDY YOU ARE HERE TO STUDY :)
The class is very easy, you have a few online homeworks and videos to help understand the chapter, but the lectures are straightforward and easy to understand. If you pay attention in class and do the homework properly, you will get an easy A.
Prof Perri lays out the class in her syllabus and sticks to it. Attendance is not mandatory, but she gives extra credit in lectures. 3 tests & final plus weekly-biweekly homework. I needed to miss a test and she let me take it with her other class. Her tests are very strict - ID, 4 monitors, 4 different test booklets. Don't fall behind!
my problem with Perri is how quickly she speaks during lecture and the amount of homework you have to do. Be prepared to have 6+ hours of work for each chapter. The concepts are not difficult.
Professor Perri is truly a good professor. The concepts gone over in the class are easy as long as you keep up. Each chapter builds up so its essential to not fall behind. Watch videos before working on homework to refresh yourself. Get a study group together and you will do amazingly! Don't be scared it's not a bad class. HW will boost grade!!!!
Loved this class and decided to major in ACC. 3 tests, some hw and cumulative final. Studying is essential - read the chapter, and do learnsmarts before the test because some information on the tests aren't provided in the lecture. It isn't about memorization. You really have to understand what you're doing to pass this class, but it isn't hard.
Ms. Perry reviews the main concepts with the class often so it is easy to remember the information. She provides a study guide for each test, so if you review that and look over the LearnSmart activities, you should do well. There isn't a ton of extra credit to be earned, but if you show up to class, the EC points she does offer are easy to get.
Professor Perri is a wonderful teacher. As my first accounting class, & not being a math person, I was surprised at how much I liked this class. She is always available to meet with you to go over tests or clarify issues on concepts. I highly recommend her! She makes the subject engaging and fun. Do your homework, go to class and you'll pass!
Has tons of homework, but it is almost identical to the test, so really practicing HW will help with studying. Has tutoring available, the exams are difficult, because of the subject, but otherwise they are pretty straight forward.
Professor Perri is honestly one of the best instructors that UNLV has to offer. She is so enthusiastic, upbeat, and FUNNY. This course requires an online interactive program that is similar to WileyPlus but way better. There is a lot of homework, however, it is only to help you understand the material and to ultimately prepare you for the 4 tests!
This class was pretty hard. Get ready to be putting in hours every week just to finish all the homework assignments. Perri is a great lecturer, she made hard topics much easier to understand. Even then, the exams (there are 4) were not easy. The class is very conceptual so understanding how the system works is crucial to passing.
Take good notes and you'll pass. Professor Perri is great and makes class fun, but you need to keep up on this class. If you feel like your falling behind go see her! She is always willing to stop what she is doing to help you until you understand. Highly recommend her for ACC she knows the material very well.
Professor Perri was definitely one of my favorite professor at the UNLV. She makes class very fun and material easier. She gives a lot of extra credits and useful hints for the exams. Attendance is not mandatory but it is highly recommended because it makes exams easier. Do homework, study on time chapters and you will do great! Loved this class!
Amazing professor! Everything is given to you upfront! Do the homework, COME TO CLASS, and go to tutoring/office hours. She's so helpful and wants all her students to pass. Definitely one of the best UNLV has to offer. & always responds to emails!
She is really funny! Accounting was tough though! The subject is hard, but she is a good teacher.
Tammy is one of the best accounting professors. She is really helpful and always have a friendly tone making it easy to approach her. The exams are intense, but if you do the homework, pay attention to the lecture, and review the chapter, you will do well. Most important thing to do is complete ALL the online homework!
Accounting is a tough subject but Tammy makes it easy to understand. She is helpful, friendly and approachable. If you screw up on an exam, she will individually go over what you did wrong. Helped me better understand the material!
The course material itself is not difficult. If you pay attention in class, Perri explains it well enough that you don't need to read the book at all. However, this class is /very/ homework intensive. I got an A on every exam and a 96% on the final, but still ended up with a B+ bc I missed five assignments. Do not slack on the homework.
Accounting isnt my forte but I need it for a non-business major. However, she tried to explain well enough so anyone can understand. Attend lecture b/c thats when she explains things in detail & practices problems w/ you. Lots of hw. Try to get full points b/c missed points add up. Always review/study! Attend her office hours, which I didnt do:/
After her course, changed my major to Accounting. Make sure you complete all assignments she gives through WileyPlus because your overall grade is point based and every assignment is weight the same. Key to success is read the chapters prior to class and do as many Orion questions as possible. Lots of similar questions on exams. A+ professor! :)
strict professor. had a 95% all semester and did poor on exam 3 and ended with a B. the class average was a 43%. (mind you that its a class of 200 people. some are accounting nerds, some have taken the class before, etc). heard a dif professor lets you use a cheat sheet, not this one. take someone else if you can. save yourself
Not a bad class, basically reads the slides for the most part so class attendance is less than mandatory if you are good at teaching yourself the material by reading the book and doing homework on your own. The class has a LOT of homework, between reading, at home quizes, onions, and actual homework, you are looking at 5 or 6 hours of homework per.
Good professor who cares about students. Make obvious effort to make sure students understand the material. Can be strict sometime but is humorous in class. A lot of homework but it's rather easy, complete them before class for 30min to an hour, you earn a lot of points just for daily effort. It also helps your understand. Overall, highly recomme
Cliche alert... accounting isn't for everyone. I am terrible at math but was rather good throughout this course. It isn't hard math. The hardest thing is going about a new way of thinking. She is super nice and makes a hard course tolerable. Lot's of homework, but truly does help your understanding. I definitely recommend her to anyone.
Super nice and funny. Lectures help with understanding the content, and the homework is used to reinforce the material. Exams are short, and she sets you up to succeed. You don't need the textbook but you do need the online code.
I just read the textbook and took notes outside of class. Then showed up to class and listened to her teach it again and I passed. Reading and having an understanding of what the material is about is helpful so you won't go into class feeling super confused. I know not alot of people do this, but trust me I passed with more than 100 with this.
She is super nice and has some corny jokes which are funny. She has a good teaching style. Lectures are really important. A LOT of homework but it prepares you for the test and helps you understand the material better. Pay attention, put in the work, go to tutoring when you need it and you'll pass. She's terrible at replying to emails.
She wasnt that hard just very by the textbook/powerpoints that are already created by the book. If you dont go to class then youll probably have to read the textbook unless you know how to do it. Get high grades on all homework so even if you get a higher C on all the tests you get a B in the class.
She was pretty good! Can't complain about the way she taught but you do need to do the homework outside of class. Do the review before the exams!!
Pretty good professor. Accounting might not be everyone's cup of tea. I would highly encourage students to review the study guides before the exams and take advantage of tutoring.
Enthusiastic, knowledgable, and excellent instructor. After taking this class, I added accounting as my second major along with CS. This class has small HW due every lecture, HW due every chapter, and reading. If you pay attention, take good notes, ask questions when needed, and complete the HW with understanding, you should pass easily. 100% REC!
Such a great professor. She allows you to go to any class time if you can't make it one day. She's accessible outside of class. She knows what she talking about. Take her!
Amazing professor who knows how to explain the material very well. She has clear guidelines, is accessible outside of class, and offers extra credit. The homework may seem like a lot but as long as you managed your time you should be fine. Take advantage of group tutoring opportunities! Go to class and do the practice questions during lectures.
A lot of lectures but most assignments are due online.
This class is very heavy on homework however she is great a lecturing. She makes them fun and keeps you engaged. Her personality is very nice and funny. She gives you two pre test study guided before every test that are exactly what is on the test. She does care about her students 10/10 recommend.
She's a bit n the spazzy side but she's a great professor. She is very intelligent and explains the concepts very well. The homework are so tedious and be prepared to take an hour or more to do them. Make sure you go to class because her notes are not posted online!
I took this class over summer and she prerecorded the lectures online w/ examples. Since it was a fast paced summer course. I feel as though over summer I learned the material at a better rate than when I retook it in the fall. I really know it would be beneficially to have the lecture online for students to go back to and review.
She's a great professor and cares about her students understanding the material. Any questions in class will be answered very clearly. The material itself can be a little difficult at first because unlike a normal class, the material is completely brand new to most students. Homework takes about 2-3 hours a week. Very great and kind professor!
Professor Perri is a jolly, amazing instructor who is very nice and fair. She is very knowledgeable about gaming audit and made class interesting with all her stories. The class consisted of online quizzes, quick homework assignments, 3 exams and a group project. Her exams are not too bad, just go over her PPT, but her questions can be tricky.
Very straightforward and easy class. Prof. Perri is very lively and makes accounting as interesting as it can be. Tests are ridiculously easy if you look over the study guide before hand. Homework can take a bit of time but is easy to figure out with the hints provided on the website. Listen to in class lectures and you will not need to read.
I enjoyed the way Professor Perri taught due to her explaining each concept well. Only 3 tests, bunch of assignments (each one helped a lot though so not big deal and helps raise your grade, and many opportunities for extra credit. Read, do assignments, go to class easy A.
There is homework due every class nothing too crazy (some people kept messaging that they had issues but I never ran into any). Her tests are very fair, and the homework prepares you well. She really did good lectures and if you don't attend them get ready to read a lot. One of my favorite classes.
Best professor at UNLV so far. She was very happy to be in class and would go over the material very well. Posted PowerPoint lectures online and did in class reviews for exams. Material is interesting as far as accounting goes but Prof Perri makes it so much better and easy to follow.
shes so amazing! I loved how she would make the lectures so engaging and be so energetic. homework for every chapter due but it's for your own good to try your hardest to get them all right. tests aren't the easiest but once you study for it, you should be good. attendance not mandatory but if you skip you will miss a lot AND the extra credits
Prof Perri totally cares about her students and accounting! She tries to make her lectures relevant and interesting. She will always answer questions and emails. Attendance isn't for grade but passing is much harder if you don't get her lectures. There is a lot of homework but it helps you understand the material a lot!
Professor Perri knows her stuff. I took her class in the Spring and going into the pandemic. She wants you to know the information to pass and is entertaining while she is teaching. 100% would recommend
Prof. Perry is a caring and phenomenal teacher. I'm an accounting major and love how she explains everything vividly and I just perfectly understand all the materials and concepts clear in my mind. Accountants just get each other! I will have her in future classes and look forward to it. There's 10 ch's of hw but they're easy, 4 exams,& extracredit
She's gotta be one of the best professors I've had in college. Maybe the best. She makes the material easy to understand and cares about her students so much. I took this class online over the summer, and it was amazing how well structured it was. 3 exams, ton of homework. But I didn't need to study much, doing homework and her lectures were enough
I took Professor Perri for the Spring 2020 semester. This was her first time teaching the course, and she was given little time to prepare. The COVID-19 Pandemic hit mid-way through the semester, and we were forced to go remote. As such, any criticisms of the course are down to circumstance. Great professor who cares about her students doing well.
There are: Learnsmarts, Homework, and Tests. The Tests are hard questions. Take notes on the class lectures, and you will pass the test with a 70% easy. If there is a better choice for a teacher, I would recommend going to the other teacher (To Be Honest).
This class was a living academic nightmare. There is so many assignments and so little time for lecture. I spent 3 hours total doing homework every night atleast 3 times a week because there are 3 homework assignments a week. You will need Tophat and the textbook and she is NOT accessible outside of class at all. She has a terrible attitude!
She isn't the worst professor, but it's a little costly buying Top Hat and the textbook. She's very enthusiastic during lectures which isn't a con, but the homework gets cumbersome. You'll have LearnSmart, homework and a quiz due each week so be prepared. I highly recommend the exam review sessions hosted by UNLV's accounting frat.
Tough class with tough exams. Be prepared to be studying a lot by watching hours of long lectures and doing homework plus learn smart. The only good thing about the class is that there is no project or anything but every single week there is homework. Also, the timing for exams is annoying. Sometimes due at 12 am, sometimes at 11:59 pm or even 7pm
Professor Perri is very caring and a great teacher. Definitely attend the lectures because the examples help out a lot. There are extra credit opportunities too.
Course taught remotely due to COVID. Exams were tough... make sure you understand the concepts very well. Personally, I found the Connect assignments unhelpful when studying for her exams. She does provide a topic review sheet though. Also, she's not very lenient when you experience issues with Respondus (i.e. computer crashes).
This is the honest review you need. This course was very disorganized and really disappointed me from my experience in 201. Shes not accessible, and often when you ask a question its answered rudely. The notes are just outlines and dont really help. Study hard and get a buddy in this class to pass. Also, the SUA cant be done alone trust me !
I liked how the professor set up the class. She provided chapter overviews, optional practice assignments, gave three whole days to be able to do exams, and allowed us to do future homework ahead of time. The course DID admittedly get pretty challenging later on, but if you do the practice assignments and pay attention to the text, it's not so bad.
I am not sure why a lot of people said the class content was difficult or a ton of work. To be honest the weekly assignments are straightforward and if you attend the lectures she makes it really easy to understand and assignments easier. The exams are fine there are similar to assignments and there are practice exams.
Not helpful and does not work with you. Exam times are too short for the questions/material on them and homework did not help for studying. No practice, only gives a general topic sheet with no access to old exams. There are a lot of unrelated assignments which take up time that could be spent on the material. Stay away for 400!
I know accounting isnt a fun class. But, Professor Perri do her best to make the class fun and enjoyable. She gives extra credit. Make sure to do the HWs and to study before the tests and you will be fine.
Class was very disorganized and uninspiring. Much of the class was based on Connect HW (which does not help for tests), the SUA project (get a group of friends- cannot be done alone), and guest speakers. Tests were very difficult and take more time to do than allotted. Too much class time wasted on non-content related work. Very disappointed.
This class was pretty difficult because of how hard the tests were. She gives a practice test to prepare, but it doesn't really help. You NEED to study to get a good grade in this class. Luckily, she curved 3 out of the 4 exams, but this is not a class where you can slack off.
If you are bad at accounting, good luck. She is nice but I dont think she taught very well. I passed 201 fairly easy but 202 is much worse. The tests are very hard so make sure you study .
Her classes were very unorganized, and she didn't respect students. Her attitude was very rude. Stay away!
Shes great teacher. Shes funny and doesnt make you feel stupid for questions. Attendance isnt mandatory but Id recommend going. Shell do TopHat quizzes throughout the semester that are graded for participation. The material is difficult no matter who you take so I recommend reading the book and then coming to class for further explanation.
lectures are amazing, take notes of what she says instead of what is provided in the fill the blanks & you'll never have to read the book. book is provided at a discount through Connect. class is self pace so if you are good at managing yourself take this! otherwise stay away. this is not a class to crash course hmwk on Sundays. tests on Respondus.
Professor Perri is a great professor and definitely knows what she's talking about. Attendance is not mandatory, but I'd highly recommend showing up. I would be completely lost without her lectures. She also occasionally offers extra credit for the ones that do show up to class.
Just make sure you can do the SUA. She teaches way to slow for me and wastes class time so i self taught, but otherwise if you do the homework, and understand the SUA you will pass. She is nice and will listen to the class though if something goes wrong.
The class is definitely a good amount of work, I'd say that it's almost mandatory to go to class if you want to pass. There are 3 exams and then a final, each is in class with scantrons and a specified time limit w/ no makeups. Every week there's 3 sets of homework, you can't miss those or else it'll bring your grade down. Hard but it's whatever.
Professor Perri is a nice and energic teacher. She did explain well but I wish she gave us more examples or find different ways to explain to the class more simpler. This was my first semester taking an accounting class and its not very easy. You must know the material to pass the class. If you need help she does provide tutoring options as well.
She takes all semester to grade. Also takes a long time to respond resulting in many pushed timelines. Very unclear about what's on the exams. She relies entirely on McGraw Hill to teach you the material, the course was almost entirely self-taught. The guest speakers are uninspiring.
Honestly if you show up to class and really pay attention and ask questions you will 100% succeed in her class. Lectures were not anything special but did help. I for one stopped showing up to class and my exam scores reflected that in the end.
It took some time to receive respond from her. She would focus on what she thought was important for her. SUA may be a hard time, be ready to find partners to work on it. Guest speaker letters seemed to be the focus, and the grading standard was weird.
She has recorded online lectures that explain each chapter very well. Take it online if you want to learn at your own pace and pause the lectures to take notes. Understand the first 3 chapters greatly because they will help you with the rest. The HW is easy to get all your points in, but you're going to need to study heavily for the 4 class exams.
She is a great professor and wants you to understand the subject. The tests for this class are made from the department so make sure to do the readings and homework ahead of time. They're exam reviews from the department but don't make it your only resource because it could be different going into the exams. I wish she made her own exams!
The exams are proctored with a camera and make up most of your grade with the whole course being on McGraw Hill. You need to really put in effort to understand and be sucuessful in this course. Overall, she posted letures, extra credit opportunities, exam reviews and was available for help but the proctored exams are unnecessary for an online class
Long time self-studying after class since the terrible organization in the class. Make sure you are familiar with the accounting procedure step by step, or you will find an annoying and hard time on SUA since it occupies a big percentage of the total credits. The final exam is tough with a large number of calculations. No extra credit opportunity.
Everyone is unique in the way they learn new things, for me, this professor hit the mark. She made this class super fun and engaging and even made me like accounting. The way she teaches is first, you watch some videos before class, then during class, she reinforces those topics w/ lectures - and then you do the homework after. Very straightforward
Definitely DO NOT recommend if ur busy. I have to retake this class because 4 exams messed up my grades. Her practice exams were nothing on the exam. This class is not meant for someone that doesnt have the time to study and do homework
One of the best online courses I've taken. The publisher's online homework shockingly felt useful instead of being useless busy work. Lockdown browser proctored exams (need webcam/mic). Exams are worth over 50% of grade, but she gives practice exams to review and homework/lectures cover all the exam content. Gave a small amount of extra credit too.
Prof Perri made Accounting fun just don't skip class and take notes and actually understand every single lecture. Downside is a lot of homework even the night before the exam.
I had to self-teach and study long hours for this class. It seemed like she didn't how to teach well and effectively. She relied on McGraw Hill for her powerpoints and explanations. Barely helped on SUA (huge project that took HOURS); I think she realized how badly we were struggling and started to be more helpful towards the end of the semester.
I felt like this class was hard for not taking ACC 201 at UNLV. A lot of concepts that are covered in class were a continuation of a class that I wasn't taught. The professor worked with students who missed a huge deadline due to technical errors and extended the deadline with more possible graded attempts. The homework was very long and tedious.
Professor Perri is a pretty good professor. Her online lectures were easy to understand and contained all contents needed to pass the class. The actual homework might be a bit annoying to do, but she gives plenty of practice exams that greatly aided in getting good test scores. Overall, I would definitely recommend her for accounting!
Best accounting 201 Professor. Her teaching style is easy to follow. She explains things in simple terms and gives many examples. There was homework every week, but mostly all accounting Professors give the same amount of work. She makes it really easy to understand and is available to discuss tests. Take this professor.
Her 405 class is far more disorganized than 201. Overall she is a great professor and it is possible to do well but you do need to study hard. I feel like I didn't learn much in her class but I somehow did well. The SUA isn't as awful as people say since it's online and gives you autochecks. She is reasonable with giving extra credit for a boost.
an incredible professor, i don't think i would've passed ACC 201 with an A if i didn't take it with Tammy Perri. she explains difficult concepts in an easy-to-understand way - be sure to watch her lectures!! i highly recommend taking this class online so you can go back and watch the lectures to study.
She relies mostly on the textbook for her class and lectures. I would've preferred additional material since I dislike McGraw Hill but she is very good at explaining difficult concepts. Even though it was online I learned a lot in her class.
Although I am not an accounting major, she made this class very interesting and does a good job at explaining the material. She is accessible and very nice. She is willing to provide feedback after every exam. Towards the end of the semester she gives extra credit and sometimes does an exam curve. Looking forward to taking her class again.
Tammy is very clear in her expectations and lecture. She sets you up for success and her lectures are really clear. Before exams, she does a paired/group review.
She really breaks down accounting in ways that you can easily understand using real-world examples. Very lenient on the homework as you get 3 attempts on a question along with three 3 attempts for the whole assignment.
Tammy is a good professor. I found accounting complex even before I took this class, but she finds ways to make it understandable like (who's your dade [if you know you know]). She's very nice and always willing to help you. I didnt put her as excellent because sometimes during class, it felt like she was rushing. Take her if possible :)
Professor Perri makes accounting engaging with her clear explanations. Though the workload is hefty, her practice exams are super helpful. unstuck ai was a game-changer for acing the class and understanding tricky concepts.
Such a great professor and does a good job at breaking accounting concepts down. This class is more challenging than other pre-reqs and studying is mandatory to do well in the class but if you put in the work you should be just fine! Take her if you can!!
Professor Parri is an amazing
don't be like me and take advantage of attendance not being mandatory. I'm not doing the worst, but I couldve done better if I showed up. her slideshows are basically the textbook put into a slide show. super sweet teacher! for her exams i got a 70, 60,60 and with extra credit Im passing with a low B :) easy to pass w higher grade if you keep up
I enjoyed the way her class was set up. Reading, questions, and homework were due on Sundays. She had lecture videos to walk you through the textbook and review sessions before tests. She's pretty good at explaining topics. Tests are multiple choice. Journal entry homework would take some time, so if you want 100%, don't do it last minute.
Take anybody else… this professor performs exceptionally lower than other professors on campus and is very unhelpful. There are much better professors out there don't lower your standards!!
The homework is pretty straightforward as long as you pay attention to her video lectures. I didn't have the need to email her or ask for tutoring for this class not one single time. Everything in the lectures covers the material in the exam and HW, you just have to know how to apply it to different scenarios. A really solid teacher.
One of my favorite professors. She actually cares if you do well and is always willing to talk about the class or to give advice. Attendance is not mandatory but her lectures did help me alot in understanding the material.
Five long assignments a week on a horrible website. Way too much work when you have other classes. This class is making me think about changing my major.
Honestly, this teacher does not care if you pass or if you need help. They give no help on exams and expect you basically to just know everything before you even start the course. The exams, compared to the homework, are completely different. Do not recommend,
Take any other professor than her. She's very unhelpful and not understanding when you reach out to her for assistance or even advice on the class. she basically told me in an email that I am at fault for something I reached out for help on something I didn't know what to do. I had to drop the class because I literally cannot deal with her.
Class is easy. Just make sure to read the textbook and do all assignments on time. The online review sessions before tests help a lot. The homework is not as bad as people are saying. It's like 4 assignments per week. Shouldn't take more than 1.5 hrs to do them all.
