Without question, the BEST instructor I've ever had! Always willing to help. Explained everything so that everyone in class understood the material. Her class test scores were always well above the average for all sections offered. Take her class!!!
By far the best teacher at the university. Explains everything fully and writes ALL notes on board. If you are at every class you will not have a problem getting an A. Baked cookies for us the day of the final. YUM!!!!
ms. rossi was the nicest math teacher ever!! i hate math & i am usually very bad at it, but she was so nice & helpful. she would always help us out & talk to us to see how we were. if you do homework, take notes you should be fine.
great teacher except the tests are harder bc no multiple choice like other sections.tough grader

Great teacher with awesome notes! Note are very detailed and she is very willing to help - Great Teacher!!!
She takes very complete notes, and writes them ALL on the board. My class seems to move a little slowly, but I can't complain. Class feels a bit like gradeschool.
I HATE HAVIN THE HOMEWORK COUNT!!!!!! BRUNG MY GRADE FROM AN A- to a C+!!!
runs class like middle school, each class everyone has to get in a single file line and put tedious homework assignments on her desk
great class! I use to always have problems but she gives us time to not only worth with her, but our peers. It helps me understand what i am doing wrong/right rather then just taking notes and leaving us high and dry on homework. Love the class!
seems like a high school math class, extremely easy
Mrs. Rossi is SUCH a good teacher. She writes every word she says on the board, explains everything clearly, and is so nice! Exams aren't too bad either. Take this class if u did good in highschool math - its the same!
still goes through the trouble to ask stuff like what 10 divided by 5 is in a problem, but other than being overly tedious she's really nice, she's one of maybe 3 math teachers here that aren't terrible
really cool and willing to help
Such a sweet lady. I hated math and still do but she makes it very clear and takes it slow. She is always willing to help if you go to her office hours. She grades a little harsh on the tests though. BEST TEACHER AT UDEL so far.
She is an average teacher. She reminds me of a teacher you would find in high school. She usually doesn't come on time to class and will start something new with 2 minutes left in the class. She is always willing to help and you should definately go to her for help if you need it.
Made an already easy class even easier. Was always clear and always wanted to help. I always felt well prepared for the exams and the Monday homework quiz's made it an easy A in this class. Highly recommended!
I would take her over the other professor. Her free 100 points come from online hw (she might switch this though), whereas the other instructor gives in class quizzes.
i took math 117 and failed but taking math 115 with rossi was fun. the online homework is easy points. she prepares you well for the tests. make sure to do problems in the book and study from old exams!! they are really helpful. she's really sweet too and if you go to her office hours she helps a lot.
Rossi is clear and concise with her notes. She explains every type of problem you will ever have to do and is very helpful. Take all the notes. Stay caught up with the homework and do the practice exams to get an easy A on her tests.
Pre-Calc with Rossi is insanely easy. Not because she makes it easy, but because it's just easy as hell. She's a real cool teacher, and going to classes will just guarantee that you do very well on tests. She clears up the few mildly challenging topics, great teacher.
Very nice teacher. Helpful and explains topics. Runs quickly through the material but with a pace where one can still understand material. Exams are not too bad if you study. Homework helps grade. Love this teacher!
LOVE PROFESSOR ROSSI. Makes math so simple. From the first day, you can tell her format of teaching style and it is so easy to understand. Class sometimes is boring and the homework long, but a very easy class if math is not your subject. Highly recommend.
best math teahcer possible in my opinion. alot of homework but definitely helps in the end. definitely take her class
Rossi reminded me of a high school teacher. Knew everyone's name in a class of 50. Very clear and helpful. A huge help in office hours before an exam and happy to answer questions during class. Reviewed material in class before an exam. Never used the textbook. Required online HW and practice tests were very annoying, but gave points to boost grade
Such a nice teacher. Always there if you need help. Lectures are clear. Goes slow. Tests are a bit challenging. She grades homework so if you want to check your answers go to the math center, it will help your grade. Try and do the homework though, if you understand the homework you will do fine.
Had her for math117 and 241. Smart, approachable, friendly, goes over material in class very well. I recommend her for anyone taking these classes. Study guides are given out before tests which are typically 7 questions and very easy. I thought I was bad at math before I had her as a professor. Definitely take her.
Very nice, approachable professor. She is very clear with her lectures... HIGHLY recommend going to class. I didn't use the book once. Don't expect a curve and take all the quizzes/homework seriously..itll really adds up!
She is one of the nicest professors I have ever had at UD. She goes over the material very well and the homework is a breeze. Exams come right from the homework, but are generally some of the harder problems so do your homework and you will be in good shape. I definitely recommend this professor, she is so nice and she is always there to help.
She was really, really good. Explained everything very well and in a way everyone could understand. Very open to questions. I don't have a single complaint about the class or professor.
You should feel comfortable in this class if you took Algebra II in high school. Very Helpful. Book is never used since all the mandatory homework is online. Tests arent bad. Recommend this teacher for this math course.
awesome teacher. easy. go to class & professor hours. so helpful
awesome teacher! she explains thing so clearly. she made getting up at 8am no big deal because she was such a great teacher. study for the tests...the mc is worth 5 points each. overall easy a if you do the homework
She will make Math as understandable as possible. She has children of her own and she brings the caring-mother approach to class that is relaxing. It seems she really cares about each individual in the classroom.
Incredibly helpful and clear. Always seems to have a cheerful attitude and willingness to help. Doesn't ask difficult questions on tests, but makes sure you know the material covered.
She is a very nice teacher and is always willing to help, doesn't really care if your late or miss class. But she seems to care about you personally. Remembers everyone's name. She is easy to understand and writes great notes that are very helpful.
Awesome teacher! very clear, and always willing to help. Stays after class, willing to meet outside office hours etc. always cheerful. Math never made sense to me before I took her class. Now I have an A in a class I didnt think I would pass!
Great teacher! She is really clear in her explanations and is always willing to help. All of the homework is doable and really prepares you for the exams which are not difficult if you know the material.
I really dislike math and never really understood pre-calculus, but this class was not very hard. Rossi was very clear made things finally click.
Really helpful. she takes attendence but it doesnt seem to affect your grade if you miss class. really sweet. id recommend her.
VERY nice teacher, kinda funny. She makes math really interesting and easy. She's very helpful and approachable. Gives you points for doing homework. Attendance is not mandatory but math is hard if someone doesn't show you how to do it...There's 3 tests and a final. tests are multiple choice and free response so pretty easy
Very helpful. I hate and suck at math but she helps you understand when your extremely confused. attendance is not mandatory but she does take attendance and if your there all the time it can help your grade at the end.
Amazing teacher! I was never good at math and haven't had a problem at all. Take her if you have to take Math114! There is homework every week but it all counts as a test grade, so it can really help your over all average. Tests are exactly what you learn in class, so go to class! She takes attendance always. Very helpful.
I suck at Math. She made it easy to understand. Easily the best math teacher I have had since middle school.Do the homework, it counts as a test grade in the end.
Rossi is a really good professor. She actually teaches the material and makes it easy to understand-but if you've already taken Pre-Cal (like me) it seems like she's dumbing the math down. If you already know what to do, the class is really boring and not worth attending. Thankfully you can not show up to class 2/3 days and still get an A! :D
I highly recommend this professor. She is really sweet and really helpful. Her notes are very concise and simple. She breaks everything down. Tests are based on what she teaches in class. You can easily miss a few days, the lectures are online. Definitely take her class!
Prof. Rossi is a very easy and helpful teacher. I highly recommend her. I hate math but I got an A in the class.
She is a great teacher and makes the subject pretty easy to understand. She makes herself available to help whenever you need it and for tests she posts last semesters so you can practice. If you have trouble make sure you get help right away if you aren't a math person.
She takes attendance so make sure you go. She is a lenient grader and always willing to help. Cute for an older lady. You will feel overwhelmed but her exams usually only contain the easiest parts of the material. Try a little and you'll do well
She's tough, and there are quite a few homework problems, but she spends lots of time on questions and problems, and is super-available for office hours. She's like everyone's mom, in a super sweet way, and wants to see people succeed.
She is super helpful and really willing to help you out if you go to her office hours. If you email her saying you were having trouble with the online homework, she sometimes give an extension. Her exams are straight from lectures which are online so you never have to go!
She is amazing. I'm not a big fan of math, but her class actually made me like it. She is always there to help and clarify anything. There is homework, but come exam time, you will be so thankful that you did all that work. She is definitely one of best professors I had at UD so far and I definitely recommend taking her classes.
Difficult if you struggle in math! Way too much homework! Spent hours a week on homework. She grades them and you get a grade for it every week.
Professor Rossi has tremendously increased my math skills. She is very helpful and will not stop until her students fully understand the material. I hope to have her again in another math class. LOVE Rossi!
Rossi is extraordinarily helpful! Go see her during office hours for help as she loves getting her students on the right track and I believe takes that into consideration for your final grade! I despised math before I had Rossi...she is an amazing professor.
A very easy class if you are even half decent at math. I never paid attention to her and often did not attend class, yet still will receive an A. The homework every week is very helpful in learning. The most irritating thing is that she tells us that class is not mandatory, yet randomly gives in class assignments worth 10 points each.
Super Easy. Probably the easiest math class I've ever taken. Got A's on all of the exams and the homework is real easy to get a 100 on except there are a lot to do and you need to keep track of it. You only need to be in class for the group assignments because they are random but other than that attendance is not mandatory. I recommend Rossi!
Words can not describe the joy i felt taking Rossi's math class. Everything was a breeze, and Rossi was crystal clear. Shes one in a million that Rossi, she showed so much care for her students, and always went the extra mile to ensure they did well. Rossi is by far the greatest professor and will always hold a special place in my heart #Rossi4lyfe
She is an amazing teacher! I'm a freshman in college and have never understood math until now. She explains everything and is willing to help if you still don't answer. So nice!
Professor Rossi is a great teacher and is very helpful! The material in this class is EXTREMELY easy. DO NOT buy the text books they are a complete waste of money because I didn't touch mine once. Just buy the webassign subscription. Sadly, she takes attendance so you have to show up to class and part of your grade is for in class assignments
So nice! very helpful, i loved her flipped class.
Definitely take math with her. Never understood math/did poorly with all my previous teachers, but she explained everything in a clear way and was always willing to help.
She is an amazing professor. Very helpful. Easy to talk to and can go to her office hours at any time to get help, she will even come in outside of her hours to mesh with your schedule. She's wonderful.
This class is literally 8th grade math. It is incredibly easy and Rossi is a pretty good professor. She explains everything really well. It makes you feel like you're back in middle school. There are three exams, a bunch of online hw assignments, and some other assignments. Go to class so that you don't miss the in class assignments! Easy A
This class is pretty easy all in all. The teacher expects a lot of participation.
Not going to lie, having to be placed in remedial algebra made me wish I actually tried on the math placement test. Regardless, she is a caring person who reached out to me when I was trying to get out of her class. During class she makes sure you get the material & if you dont she has you walk her through it step by step. OH, she speaks ENGlish
When I first went to this class, I was extremely embarrassed that I had to take remedial algebra. However, Professor Rossi is a very caring and helpful lady. She makes sure you understand the material that we talk about in class and is always willing to help if you still don't understand. She is a very clear teacher.
I freakin' love this woman. I failed MATH010 the first time (yeah, don't say you're bad at math unless you've already met me). Got good grade in her flipped class. I wish all math classes could be in the flipped format. The daily activities are based on the actual concepts of math and the homework is where you do the problems. Very helpful teacher.
Really didn't like this class in general, I felt like Rossi was almost a little too overbearing with helping you and the curriculum has little stupid parts to it like "course analysis". ALEK's portion of the class can get ridiculously frustrating knowledge checks make you want to throw your laptop out the window when you have to redo alot of topics
I had Professor Rossi this semester. She is the best math teacher I have ever had. She is so clear on explaining the material and her tests are fair (a little tricky), I average 70-75s. But other than that she offers so much extra help and really wants her students to do well. TAKE HER CLASS!!!!
I am HORRIBLE at math and she made everything so clear and explained everything in multiple ways for students who understand things differently. I got a 100 on the first exam, again I'm not a math person, and was never blind sided by any of her assignments. Lectures are on UDcapture so you'll never miss anything. Take her!!!!!
DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!!! She does not help you out what so ever. The final was the hardest thing ever even after studying for weeks and re watching every class online. She does not care about her students or if you are trying and still failing... Take another professor.
I've always struggled with math and was embarrassed to be in remedial algebra but she is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. I'm taking 8 am precalc next semester just so I can have her again, she's really helpful and easy to understand. Class wasn't for credit but I still liked it. Do yourself a favor and do your ALEKS modules.
She definitely knows what she is doing and wants you to do well. Very helpful and gives good lectures; not too slow and not too fast. As long as you care about your grade, you will do well.
Rossi is a nice professor and she really cares about everyone passing, but she grades toughly on pop quizzes and written portions of the exam. The silliest mistake, she will take off half points and they add up quick. She does though change seats in the middle of the semester so, be nice to everyone. Ask for help with needed or you'll fall behind.
Since it's a math class, I recommend going because I think its easier to learn math when being taught. Rossi is really nice and if you just do the simple homework in the packet and online, you'll do fine. You can retake the online portion of the exams which is super nice and they're usually really easy as long as you pay attention in class.
Rossi was very understanding and helpful and a good teacher. The aleks homework twice a week is annoying and long but helps ur grade a lot. There are two exams, a cumulative final, a few quizzes and a lot of homework. This professor made math a lot easier to understand for me and I would definitely recommend her.
great lady great teacher impossible written portion of exams. Horrible final
Professor Rossi is one of the sweetest professors you will ever have. Her class is very easy, especially if you've already taken pre-calculus in high school. The lectures do get a little slow at times but it's an easy A.
Professor Rossi is one of the best math professors you can chose at UD. MATH114 was the EASIEST class ever. If you show up and copy down what she writes down, it is an easy A. While she says attendance isn't mandatory, she gives out unannounced assignments in class (probably around 6 for the semester) and if you miss them your grade will drop.
Rossi as a person is great but as a professor, she is tough. There is ton of homework and many assignments. The exams are terrible and the written exams difficult. She is willing to help outside of class which is great but the workload of this class is a unnecessarily heavy. This is the most difficult math class I've ever taken.
Rossi was great This class is easy if you have taken pre-calc before. The online homework assignments are very long but if you start them far enough in advance you won't be overwhelmed. They are also weighted the same as the quizzes so completing all of them on time will help your grade. Do the practice problems she gives before exams. They help!!!
She really cares for her students and is always willing to help everyone the best way that she can. She is a pleasant professor to have! She made everything very easy to follow through with and made lectures very clear. There is a lot of webassign hw and quizzes online that you have to do which are easy if you go to class!
Professor Rossi is great! There's a lot of homework but that goes for all of the MATH115 sections. She is very understanding and willing to work with students outside of class if you put in the time.
Professor Rossi was so great! She is always willing to go out of her way to help, and she explains concepts super well! There is a fair amount of homework, but it is really easy. I highly recommend you take her class, especially if you are a non-math major who just wants to get through the math requirement.
I normally struggle a lot in math classes, but Rossi's lectures and teaching methods were clear and easy to understand and helped me actually learn math. Two written exams, two online aleks exams, homework on aleks, video quizzes on canvas, and sometimes in class worksheets.
Professor Rossi is a great math teacher. She's very organized and comes to class prepared. It helps that Ms. Rossi is a good communicator, and will frequently post to Canvas. She's caring, and will accommodate for personal struggles. There is a lot of work with the online program ALEKS, which I hate, but that's the case for all MATH115 courses.
Amazing teacher, sucky course but she makes it better.
Although we received a lot of homework, professor Rossi really cares about her students success. The exams are pretty easy and you get to bring a note sheet for each exam (online or in person) and you can put anything you want on them.
really like her! you just need to buy a course pack, she will go through the lessons and she explains it well and is very helpful!!
Not my favorite professor, but she was bearable
Overall easy class, plenty of opportunity for help if needed. As long as you do the Aleks you shouldn't really even need to study.
She is a great professor and I very understanding. She always wants what is best for her students and tries to make things understandable for her students. Exams are pretty simple, the class is just very easy.
Amazing professor and very understanding if you have problems outside the classroom. Her goal is to make sure you pass so if you struggle she will make sure you get good grades in the end. I would recommend her to anybody and would love to have her again.
Super understanding of personal situations and will be more than happy to help outside of class.
Mrs. Rossi makes sure that her students understand what their learning. While this class was very easy for me, it wasn't for some. But those who were stuck she made sure to do everything in her power to help them. She has office hours for those who need it. She does give 3 unexcused absences, but if you email her before class she's really lenient.
Professor Rossi is a great math teacher. She makes the tough course more manageable with clear lectures and helpful office hours. Aleks homework can be a pain, but using unstuck ai alongside class materials really helped me stay on top of it.
Amazing teacher that actually cares. We really work with the peers at our tables during class and follow the book. The system is set up for success. Aleks is what we use for the twice weekly homework and also the exams. You also get to retake the online exams and sign up for whenever you are available during the week. Lot of work but lot of reward.
Ms. Rossi is the best prof ive ever had. she was so caring and wanted you to succeed. Ive never passed a math class before until her. She motivated me to work hard and put in the effort. If you dont try or pay attention in class it will catch up to you. Pay attention, go to class, do the hw/ study and you should get an A
The way she teaches works but it feels like she is talking down to you and over explains to where you feel like a pre schooler
Pretty easy class, and she's a very good explainer.
