Ms. Ruff was such a great instructor for psych of adjustment, I can't think of anyone better to teach that class. She is strict tho as far as turning in your assignments on time, which is good. You will love her.

she's not ugly, but i'm not going to say SHE'S hot! she is really cool and super funny..kinda reminds me of Ellen and her sense of humor. i would definitley recommend her!!!

She is a wonderful teacher with a lot of enthusiasm. Her class is fun and seems to fly by. It is amazing how she can create an environment where a whole classroom full of students are all practically good friends. She is open to questions and does her best to help. Her country accent is cute.

Ms. Ruff was very helpful in giving very clear examples and helping you understand the material. I enjoyed Intro to Psychology, and am taking another class given by her next semester.

Tammy was a really good teacher, she explains things so its so easy to understand. Plus she has her grading system laid out really fairly, I wish I could take her for another class.

Love this woman! Ever had one of those teachers who lectured the majority of class and put you to sleep? Well, Tammy is the OPPOSITE of that! She lectures, but does so objectively and with a sense of humor. She makes you look at things from multiple perspectives. Moving onto another school...wish she could come & teach my other psychology classes!

Best profeesor I have had so far!

Did online class - not as easy as people make out. I have a 3.7 GPA so I am no dummy. The tests are done in the testing center and you really NEED to study hard to get a good grade. The study guides are good to help you prepare for the tests. 4 papers were due during the semester, and she grades pretty hard!!! Give extra credit to help your grade.

This class was one of the easiest and most fun that I've ever taken. She is very engaging and really easy to talk to. She offers extra credit, and her tests require some slight studying. I highly recommend taking any class she offers.

Ruff is the best. Very funny and she really makes the class fun and interesting. She is southern and proud of it, which I love. She will really open your mind to alot. I have had her twice and she was great both times. One thing though is if you decide to take her class, do not think you will get out early...ever. Will not happen.

I actually loved her. anything that you need just let her know and shell do her best to help. If your the type of person that likes to intersct with others in order to learn, this would be the perfect class for you. LOVED IT

I took this class online, my first ever. barely had any interaction with Ms. Ruff because all instructions are laid out within syllabus. Many small papers to write, 4 discussions, a lot of study material.read and study the chapters! 4 exams mult choice. overall great class I made an A, she gives extra credit opportunities. a good teacher.

Ruff is amazing as an instructor. She makes you want to learn and breaks it down so easy. Pay attention to her lectures. If it is not in the lecture then it is not on the test.

When taking online classes, I feel that the most important thing is communicating with your class and Ms. Tammy does just that. Anytime I wasn't sure about an assignment, I emailed her and got a quick response unlike other online professors I've had take days to respond and still don't answer the question. ( :-) I would take her again if I could!

Ms. Ruff is a beautiful person inside and out. I took her for General Psych and the class discussion were GREAT!!! Nevertheless please do not under estimate the test. They can be a little tricky but easy at the same time. PARTICIPATE in CLASS, COME to CLASS and you will walk away with a descent grade B+ or better. Believe me!

All around fantastic professor and individual. She makes the curriculum so relatable and interesting. Like someone previously stated, she's very serious about being on time but will let you know once you're close to too many tardies. She's not going to hold your hand throughout the course, but that's what helps you to become a better student.

Professor Ruff is my favorite professor at NSCC. I am trying to get her as my professor for all future psychology classes. She gives lectures that do not put you to sleep. She incorporates life experiences by telling stories which are always hilarious that definitely helps you learn the material. She genuinely cares for each student.

Tammy Ruff is awesome! I really enjoyed her class. She tells awesome stories and keeps the class entertained. Lots of bonus ops! Most of her assignments consist of 4 in-class discussions (don't worry!!), very short writing assignments, multiple choice tests, and a *slightly* larger paper. I hope I have the opportunity to take her class again! :)

Ms. Ruff is the BEST!!! She's more than fair, she wants you to succeed so there's all kinds of extra credit, including a fun game. You'll love the discussion assignments. I love her sense of humor, her short stories were the best, which made the class even more interesting! Professors like her will make you want to change your major lol.

Ms. Rufus is wonderful. There is no way not to pass her class unless you just don't try. The class is not an easy A because of the material. I could listen to her lectures all day. Taking her class got me through the semester. She's humble and she cares. She is the best teacher at NSCC. She gives extra credit when she can to help you through.

BEST is not the absolute word to describe Ms. Ruff's capacity in teaching. She provides all the tools, plus some for her students to easily get an A. A kindhearted, funny and caring person whose knowledge is far beyond what she is required to teach. Ms. Ruff is very informative and dedicated in sharing her students what she know. Awesome professor. She cares about your ability to succeed and during lecture she makes it interesting by providing examples about the material you are learning via stories or related content. Attendance and participation are important so if you are uncomfortable in front of crowds you'll definitely have to overcome it. She's great!

Awesome professor. I took her course online, and though I wish I hadn't because there was A LOT of information to process on my own, taking online classes you don't get that face to face time with your professor but through her emails back and forth you can tell she genuinely cares if you succeed and do well in her class. Don't take it online.

Professor Ruff is all about the bettering of the person, student , sister, brother, mother,etc. Whatever title that your wear she makes you look deep into yourself and do very close evaluations. If you don't learn anything in this class it is simply because you, yourself did not put in the work. There are a few projects but they are so rewarding.

She is a great teacher. If you pay attention & put forth effort then youll do good in this class. She is very smart & will help you with any questions you have. She cares about her students & wants them to be successful but you have to do the work. Glad I had her for an Instructor. Two thumbs up!!

I took this class online, and it really was my least demanding class this semester. That's not to say the class was easy. For each section, you have to participate in discussions which are grading very leniently. Do the work and you'll get the full points. She is very quick to respond to emails and always does so with a friendly tone.

Do your work and extra credits, you pass with an A without showing up to the exam. Funny, engaging, nice. Used textbook for one activity ( really don't need it). Tests are lecture-based. She will make you like Psychology.

This was an overall easy and fun class to take. It felt like a family. All assignments and their due dates were clear. She used Pearson online to do most assignments which were easy. Tests are over the power point slides. As long as you print or take notes of those and keep up with at least one or two assignments online, you will do great.(:

BEST TEACHER AT NSCC! So passionate about Psychology and extremely kind to her students. She requires your attention and work, but is generous in her style. Lectures are amazing, workload is light. You are expected to read and know your stuff though. Don't mistake her kindness for excusing laziness. Would highly recommend her classes!
