Ms. Christmas was sooo easy! She was actually too easy on the slackers. Take her for speech! Easy A if you do your work on time- lots of extra credit if you need it.
Tangie was a cool teacher, but a little unorganized when it came to some things. Lots of E.C in her class, if you want an A, take her & do all your work on time. No problem.
She was easy but make sure you turn your work in on time.

I love to public speak, but this class did not motivate me to be better at at. Ms. Christmas was somewhat entertaining, but extremely unorganized, especially with due dates and details for assignments. Half the time, the class didn't even know what the assignment was. The class was rushed, and lectures always boring. Take someone else.
Ms. Christmas was a good speech teacher, but I feel she cut the slackers too much slack. She has good intentions but sometimes gets off track about the subject. Very good hearted and if you want to do well, you will get an A. Lots of extra credit opportunities!
I found Tangie to be very entertaining and fun! Even though I dreaded taking this class, just a week into the class I loved it! The speeches are easy and kind of fun, I would say she was very understanding and helpful when needed. Not hard to get an easy A. :D

Tangie's class was so disorganized and she was so unclear about what she wanted that the class was terrible. You never knew what your homework was until it was due, speeches were always delayed, deadlines always changed, and it took twenty minutes just to get the class going everyday. It's no wonder no one had respect for the class and morale fell.

Tangie is awesome. She is knowledgeable and fun. She gives plenty of oppourtunity to make up bad grades and extra credit. she is flexable. The class does have a rough time getting started but it is well worth it and she definately connects with her students. Take her and you won't be sorry! I think she is great.
This is an easy "A" unless you have a fear of talking in front of others. Tons of handouts, some silly exersises, and lots of class interaction. It was even easy as a six week class.
Great Professor! She did a wonderful job with such a diverse group. She works very well with everyone and their individual cir****stances. She goes out of her way to make the class fun and as comfortable as a public speaking can be. If you put in even a slight effort it will be recognized. She is very organized and it was a great experience.
This teacher is very unorganized. Keep all of your papers, there is a good chance she will lose a grade for something somewhere along the way. Speeches often are pushed back. She often falls behind. I wouldn't take this teacher again.
She was always late for class, she never ONCE came to class on time. when she did show up she wasn't organized or ready for class, so we usually started half hour into class. she was never clear on when things were due and even if we had to turn them in. she is knowledgable on speaking but when it comes to being a good prof there are better ones
i really don't think this teacher should be teaching.What are us students paying her for?She was never on time, on time to her was 15 minutes late.She made it look as if she was organized but in all realality she wasn't.She would constantly ask us what we were goin over.We didn't even go over all the speeches bcuz she pushed all of them back to far
Very unorganized and unclear on everything. Would give out assignments and say they were just for us and then next class ask for them. Never followed the time line that she created. Treated the class as if they were in grade school still. Total waste of time and sadly a large waste of money.
Great Teacher
Horrible teacher. Never on time, blames all of her problems on the class, she gets like a month behind and you have to cram all your speeches into the last 2 weeks of class. Treats her students like middle schoolers. She is not a good teacher.
HORRIBLE TEACHER!!!! She was very unorganized. Rushed through pretty much everything. Didn't explain things clearly. She really needs to stick with her syllabus, rather than falling behind a month. I'm glad that she doesn't teach any other courses at SC4!
She is very nice, but I have never met someone so unorganized in all my life. She gave us a leeway of being 10 minutes late for class but I believe that was for her benefit, not ours. Class almost always started a half hour late because of her, not us. I had her for a short semester and she was gone 3 times. A semester of frustration. Don't do it.

Tangie needs to take that time managment course for incoming college freshman. She was very unorganized, undisiplined and hostel when she become overwhelmed. Tangie would showe up late 10 mins each class, then blamed it on the class not using our time wisely. Tangie is a nice person, but needs to get more organized to teach this demanding class.
First off, for a class for public speaking, Tangie is a great speaker. However, she is disorganized I won't lie. She cuts too many breaks and puts the class behind by catering to those that have been absent consistently. She's really nice though, but can be a bit bitter when she's under stress.

She is awesome! she is very nice and likable. As long as you keep up with the simple lectures and have your speeches prepared you'll do great.
Tangie is VERY disorganized, brings her kids into the classroom, somewhat unprofessional when she is under stress. STAND YOUR GROUND with her though or she will try to bully you. I got a lot from the class but she is TERRIBLE about pushing deadlines and not managing time effectively. She could be great but her home life interferes with SC4.
I have to agree with most of the feedback already left for Mrs. Christmas. She is EXTREMELY unorganized, hard to follow because she doesn't use her syllabus/deadlines/homework assignments like she originally states, lots of unused/misapplied class time, late for her own class everyday, and doesn't follow her own rules/guidelines. Very disappointed~
I had her for an online class where we had to come to class once every 2 weeks. She did not open the online packets so we had no idea how to prepare for class. She did not use any of the assignments she had in the syllabus. This class was graded mainly on the speeches. We never know what our overall grade is because she doesn't post anything for us
Mrs. Christmas started out strong and was interesting in the beginning, but her unorgainization left me dreading her class.The second have of the semester she started to get lazy and tape herself in another class and play it for my class.Which would have been fine if I could have heard her.But, she is a nice lady and would help if you needed it.

I took Mrs. Christmas's class when I was in high school. Her's was the first actual class I'd ever had, and though I will agree she wasn't very organised nor followed the schedule very well, I found her to be very helpfull and she is still one of my favorite teachers.
Best professor at SC4. She made the class enjoyable and understood that people have fears of public speaking.

Her classes isn't as bad as people say it is. She is quite disorganized and does not manage time very well. There are only 4 speeches that you have to give and she gives a lot of extra credit
I have never had her as a teacher personally but I am a tutor in the achievement center and have so many students come to me confused and in tears about her class that I felt I needed to speak up. She is inconsistent with grading and fairness and consistently arrives 10 minutes late for class, then marks others down for tardiness.
I absolutely hated every part of her class. She's completely unorganized, doesn't take suggestions when when you confront her, and her quizzes are nothing but b.s. Half of the things in them, aren't anywhere to be found whenever you try to learn anything. I never knew what I was supposed to do. I pretty much had to teach myself all semester.
She was very nice. We rarely had tests, which was nice. The speeches were pretty easy too as long as you did what she asked.
Great person in general. I had a lot of extra credit built up due to the weight of extra credit compared to mandatory assignments. The quizzes were really hard and didn't make much sense. Speeches were easy as long as you did what she asked you got an A. All in all good class.
Fifteen minutes late to EVERY class (not exaggerating), and very unorganized. The online quizzes didn't even work for half of the class, and she never fixed them. I added up the time she cost us (in being late), over 8 hours of our time. When part of the class didn't do an assignment, they would do it in class while the rest of us sat bored.
Literally the worst class I have ever taken. We get nothing done ever. We have 3 weeks of class left and we've covered 2 out of 8 sections. Terrible time management and organization.

Ms. Chirstmas was a nice teacher, but you could get on her bad side easily. There was only 1 test and it was easy. The quizzes are pretty simple and the speeches are pretty cut clear what she wants you to do.
Fun class! Barley gave out any homework. Speeches were easy and she graded lightly. Would take her for a professor again.

Tangie Christmas was the most unorganized teacher i have ever had. Her online quiz's would not make sense, typos everywhere and repeated answers. Her class was half online it felt like. VERY UNORGANIZED i never had a sc4 teacher where i just hated going and her teaching skills just flat out suck harsh but the truth. No text book either.
Sometimes had long lecture days. Speeches were fairly easy. She gives lots of extra credit, but the online quizzes were the challenge.
I'm not sure how she got hired, she's a teacher I respect that, but unorganized, not clear at all, forgets what she told. She's most of the time late, and if she was, she'll take the time after class. I wouldn't recommend her at all. Moreover, she is not a fair grader.
Professor Christmas has been amazing. She genuinely cares about her students. While directions can be confusing at times, everything is clearly laid out in Webstudy. There's alot of extra credit opportunities for any rough patches that you may encounter

Mrs. Christmas is a great professor and cares about her students. Also students need to respect her by listening and not bing on your phone and when she assigns a quick homework assignment do it. You do what she asks and its a easy A.
Ms. Christmas is a very nice lady however she is not to organized very scatterbrained at times. Do not miss class on speech days, she will fail you. Her speeches that she has her students take are fairly easy as long as you put effort in her class you will pass.
Tangie is the best teacher ever!! She is extremely nice and sweet. She may be a little disorganized, but that just means you usually have extra time to prepare for a speech, which always helps. She always helps you when you have a question she is very approachable.
Tangie was a terrible Prof. She was very disorganized and would get off track throughout lectures. Her class was very hard to follow. She also gives out 8 quizzes but half of the material on the quizzes are not provided in handouts/lectures/ or the text. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH TANGIE.
Grading seemed to not reflect actual performance. However, I received a decent grade so if your looking for a class just to take to get through it go for it, but if you're actually trying to learn look elsewhere.
She is typically late to class, making you stay later, not caring if you have another class in 15 minutes. If she is on time, she will usually wait around doing paperwork for the first 30 minutes before getting to the teaching. She covers lectures repeatedly and doesnt focus on what youre supposed to do for your speeches. I dont recommend her.
A lot of people describe her as disorganized. I never got that feeling from her- it was more of a laid back class, for sure, but for someone who is super nervous about speaking in front of people, the laid back atmosphere she created was perfect. She does treat you like an adult- read the syllabus, timeline, and know when things are due.
Don't take her online. But in class I had her for spring and it was a nice course to pass the time. You learn a lot and it boosted my GPA.
There was lots of extra credit which was nice because the entire online set up was confusing. On the bright side, there was very few mandatory assignments. The class was easy, but if you have questions make sure you ask them in class because she doesn't respond to emails.
I loved Prof Tangie. She genuinely cares about her students and takes pride in what she teaches. I was terrified of this class in the beginning, but she made it comfortable and fun for us students that would get nervous. I literally froze in the middle of my speech and she said take a deep breath and try again. She didn't count it against me.
Professor Christmas is a cool and funny person to talk to and she makes her lectures interesting, but she is a terrible teacher. She is very unorganized and does not put any grades in until after the semester is over so you are left guessing what your grade is. She over-complicates things, very poor with time management. Can't explain everything.
I took her online. I dropped the class because her online forum was SOOO DISORGANIZED. It took forever to find out what was due. Repeated info, improper grammar and misspelling everywhere . Cant believe SC4 hired such a scatter brain! Where is the boss to look in on the teachers and how they conduct online forums.
She's very nice and cares about you improving your speech. However, she is unorganized and it is hard to understand what she lectures about and what is required. Her online class on canvas was a mess as sometimes you couldn't find assignments or know when things were due. Her class isn't that hard, its just confusing at many times.
DONT TAKE HER! Absolutely the worst decision ever. What everyone says on here is true. Very unorganized and unreachable. She has 20 minute office hours and if you go to talk to her she will dismiss you. No clear grading criteria so everyone in the class is left clueless. Usually an all A student but not anymore; myself and my GPA suffered with her
Very disorganized. You will get lost in the class because she can't keep anything straight. She hands out extra credit like candy. She is the Worst teacher i've had. Nice lady but bad teacher. Just waited until the last week of class to grade and hand back EVERYTHING we have done this semester..

The only reason I didnt drop this class was because I had friends in the class. The class/material itself wasnt bad. Nice lady but not a good teacher. Lectures are every day but none make sense, doesnt grade ANYTHING until the last week of the semester, and very, very unorganized. Again, she is a good person but the class was not good.
This professor is VERY unorganized. Her modules online are all over the place with due dates that are constantly changing. The hardest professor to reach on campus with 30 minute office hours that she can never attend. Grades go in the last week of the semester so you have no feedback. Students drop her each semester for a reason. DO NOT TAKE HER!!
Her bad rep illustrates the power of first impressions over merit. You can't take anyone else for speech at SC4, so be prepared to accept the professor's quirks. Please accommodate her occasional lateness due to a circumstance beyond her control. Please understand why she may have developed a defensive and authoritarian speaking style.
A lot of people say she's disorganized. Looking back, they're right. If she showed up less than fifteen minutes late, then we were all surprised. However. ironically, DO NOT MISS ANY CLASSES- attendance points. She was very laid back, she understands that not everyone loves talking in front of people. She really does care about her students.
Aside from the dis-organization, I don't understand these other reviews. Tangie is a wonderful, funny, and caring professor. She's an easy grader, doesn't assign a ton of homework, and appreciates participation. There's lots of chances of extra credit, and her lectures won't bore you to death. I'd highly recommend her class and would take again!
She is a really cool person, but as a professor she is sometimes all over the place. We got way way way behind and when she lectures it feels like forever. She taught some really good skills, but it didn't feel refined. If speeches are hard for you don't stress she gives TONS of bonus points!
Don't do it. Class is easy but she's disorganized, doesn't post grades until after the semester ends, and gets snippy with students. You won't know what's going on half the time, neither does she. The only good thing I can say is that sometimes she can be funny.
Tangie is very kind and very personable. However, she is quite disorganized and her canvas was super confusing to navigate. She lectures on and on and it can be hard to follow at times. She doesnt put grades in until after the semester ends so its really difficult to see what you need to improve on to get a good grade.

It's important to attend class but she was constantly 10 mins late. Bonus points are given throughout the semester which are nice to have when unsure about grades.
Professor Tangie is such a sweetheart! She is very caring and understanding! She offers lots of extra credit opportunities, too! Don't worry too much about the deadlines in the syllabus, but rather pay close attention to her lectures and when assignments are due because the syllabus is really more of a "guideline". Enjoy her class!
Tangie is a nice lady and cares about her students. However she is extremely disorganized, you will have trouble getting ahold of her and she is constantly late to class. My class got extremely behind due to her being sick and she made us do all of the work at the very last minute causing major stress...Save yourself from this class.
Professor Tangie is very kind cares and respects schedules. Don't worry about your grade she is tough on grades but a lot of extra credit is given to make up for that. However, it is hard to follow he canvas and she is very disorganized. The last three weeks we were rushed to get most of are speeches done. Not my favourite class.
Abysmal organization. Nobody in the class knew what was going on, and I highly doubt she knew either. Canvas is littered with assignments to the point where its nearly impossible to sift through it and find the assignments you actually need to do. Consistently late to class and typically takes an hour or more to get to lecturing. Do not recommend.
Kinda unorganized but she is an excellent teacher. I took this course synchronized online and it was a pretty good class. We did well and she waved the final exam.
Nice lady but super unorganized. No one could follow along in her class as Canvas was filled with random assignments in random modules and in order to get to the assignment needed you had to look through multiple modules. She takes a very long time to grade stuff (multiple months), and some of the content is very rushed.
Do NOT take. It's the last week of the semester and this was the first time anything was graded. I went 16 weeks without a single grade in the gradebook. I would send emails with questions and concerns on assignments and not even receive a response. EVERY speech she go onto the hub late. My first speech the teacher "forgot" she had to be on.
She was a very charismatic and a very sweet person. The only thing was that as her in-person class, we fell pretty behind for the course, but it honestly just meant we had less work to do. She offers so so so much extra credit, even just for answering questions and also loads of extra assignments as well. Overall, a pretty solid professor.
If I had the choice to go back in time, I would've NEVER taken her class. She has yet to grade a single assignment and we are over half way through the semester. I have messaged her 3 times thus far, and each time she tells me she will grade everything within a week. That has never happened.
Professor Christmas made SPC 101 a bit hectic, but it was survivable. She gave good extra credit. Canvas was a mess, but she told you what you needed to do for assignments if you attended class. She emailed me back usually within the day. She gave a lot of grace to those who needed it.
Professor Christmas was not the most organized, however I really did enjoy her class. She responded very quickly to emails and gave good feedback. As long as you follow directions and ask questions when needed, you will do good in the class. The speeches are very easy, especially online. Would take again.
Lovely professor. I adore her and I would recommend her to everyone. She is lenient and does a great job of guiding you through the assignments. She is more than accommodating and offers SOO much extra credit. Assignments are quick and easy, sometimes due dates get messed up, but she always allows more time to complete to make up for the confusion.
I loved Professor Christmas because she cared more about you learning the material than deadlines. She was understanding and a great educator. She offered many extra credit opportunities. I learned a lot from class.
