First time writing a review on a professor but I genuinely enjoyed Professor Mejia-O'Donnell's class so much I had to share. She puts a ton of effort into her lectures and especially setting up field trips for the class. She has weekly quizzes and you will have to read, as long as you put in work you will succeed. She did so much with so little. Without funding or extra help from the school, she set up field trips to detention facilities, brought in multiple guests almost weekly, and created an excellent environment for us to learn. She also created learning experiences for us. I thought she was a caring, dutiful teacher and I loved taking her classes.

Professor does a great job of keeping you up to date on whats going on in juvenile justice. There are weekly reflections and quizzes. Both online and are relatively easy. There are a lot of guest speakers so be prepared to go over lecture and other aspects of class on your own. Overall good class and you learn valuable information.
