Her tests are not hard, but there are short answers in her exams. Must know something about economic news.
Shes really nice. She writes the notes on the board so just copy them down. The tests are easy Everything on the tests are either from the notes or the example questions she gives you on the internet.
Great Prof. Good discussions A+

Pretty cool chick, put in a little effort you will pass the class, need to know something of economics though.
I think she's good looking. Tests are multiple choice and short answer. Goes off topic sometimes, not bad for a staff teacher.
She was a cool teacher with great people skills and funny to. The tests weren't hard if you came to class and took the notes. Only two homework assignments. She uses a curve also.
Take notes and be there when she gives the study guide for the exam. Plus a little investing on the internet for the stock project and with the curve (which is massive sometimes) you're sure to get an A or a the very least an easy B.
The stock project is not hard. Her activities are sometimes childish but their cool. I was named her favorite sports student.
internet assignment is fun to do and tests are not so easy cuz u need to look for almost every thing happening around u in the field of economics but u can get A just dont fall sleep in the class
Cool teacher. Very nice and helpful. Just study for the tests and do the assignments. She's also leniant on attendance. Highly suggested.
Show up for class. Take notes. Take the tests. Do the homework assignments. Do the stock project. Not a hard class to pass but you need to know somethings about econ to do well.
Easy A. Took night class so a little long, but its only once a week. Tests are passable without studying. She has a huge curve on all the tests. There is only 3 test and she drops the lowest.
very nice teacher, easy and helpful. her stock project assignment, essay and the creative project allowed me to build my grade. i got an easy A. I had another teacher for econ 1 and i hardly got a B. but with Carter it is not hard to get an A. take her for She is a good teacher.
Tania Carter is Hot, take her class. Forget the other professors; this is the one to take for econ.
hey this teacher is great, the way she teachers the class just reminds me of the female version of Dr. Kenikisl (sorry 4 the bad spellin) class, go ahead and take her she wont bite plus she will pass u even if u failed her class, now isn't that nice! JUST KIDDIN! HAHAH
Be ready to study on your own. This teacher likes to make concepts more complicated than it is. Tough tough tests. Study much and you should pass.
Tough tests. Gives incorrect answers for tests, and makes material more complex than it is. Many people dropped because she was so unfair with grades.
do not take. worst econ teacher, does not know what she's doing. tough tests that she doesn't help with.
don't
dont... just dont
worst professor ever! tough tests!
may be cute, but her teaching is ugly
i dont know what everyone is talking about she is a cool teacher used to teach at the uc level she knows her sh*t if you really want to learn about econ this is the class to take.

loved this class. she was very clear and the tests are very straighforward. do the homework, study for tests and youll get a good grade. i loved her class so much i wanted to take econ 2.
whoever wrote all those bad comments earlier on the same day obviously had alot of time on their hands. Carter is a good teacher. She is clear in what she teaches and is knows one heck of alot about econ. shes an unmarried woman with many pets but don't let that fool ya! she's a good teacher and curved our first test 15 points! she's fun, take her!
Those who said she is not a good teacher most likely have some serious issues. She is the coolist teacher I have had and if you need to take a Econ class, look for her class and YOU WON'T REGRET IT. Tanja Rules! Don't hate because she is beatiful and knows her stuff.
She's a great teacher. She outlines the chapters and gives you a list of what to study for the exam. Tests not cummulative, fun stocks project, she's very fair with her curve (we once had 17 points.) Let's you drop your lowest exam grade, no homework. I never even read my book and still learned a whole lot. I definitely recommend her.
Tanja Carter is the best Econ teacher you can get. She explains everything clearly and is there to help you in everything! She helped me out a lot when I didnt understand the topic. She also has a great sense of humor. Ask her about her familys cabin. Its a great story!!!!
She is the best f*ckin econ teacher ever! You take notes a lot, but they're in outline form so its not a lot and basically thats all the tests are on. She gives you 3 tests and drops your lowest score! Projects are EASY EASY EASY! Sometimes i think she just checks that you did the projects and gives you an automatic A! Very leanient!! Easy A for me
Great Teacher! Easy Class, Amazing Curves, and she even admits students with no seats! Explains everything well and class is actually fun! (weird)!
Never had her for a class before, but met her. Seemed to me like that she is a great professor.
This is a really fun and easy class. It's great to take if your taking a lot of other classes with it. The tests are hard, but she curves them to make up for it.
Really good teacher, her test a bit hard but if u study the material you'll do fine and she grade on a curve, first test 16 point curve. She give u study guide and sample test question, stock project a lot of fun, get extra credit if u in top 7. Hope to take her in Econ 2 soon!!!
Pretty easy; there is always a massive curve and you drop the lowest test score. Kind of boring, and there is mandatory attendance for the last month, but overall not bad.
shez awsome and helpful. dont wry bout the test u wont even know wat the hek is in the test or mite think that u have never seen these things b4 but u got plenty of ways to get an A.b ready for economic news and hav fun in there.
Good teacher and a good class. Makes her notes in the form of an outline so it is easy to study from. Tests are difficult but there is always a curve so it shouldn't be too hard to get a passing grade.
Take my advice dont take this teacher... top it all she gives u three projects which have little impact on learning econ.... her tests are really hard... Instead take glenn... but she does curve ure grade though.
Straight forward, simple and easy. A bit frustrating because there is massive curve which doesn't give whole lot of incentive for student to push themselve above and beyond. I wish she forgo the curve system. If you pay attention, getting a A is piece of a cake.
This class is so incredibly boring. But it's not her fault it's just the subject. There are a lot of notes and the test are really hard. But the book she uses is really easy to understand and she will help you out as much as she can. I can't belive I passed with a B becuase I didn't understand anything but the curve is great and she's easy going.
She is one of the best instructors. Her lectures are clear and she will give you lots of great examples. She puts up study guide and practice tests on her website. Her tests are kinda hard, but if you study, it wont be a prob. TAKE HER!!!
She knows her stuff. She gives the class what they want! Literally! She let us off for Halloween even though the test was the following week. I really liked her because she knows Economics and likes to relate to the class.
Prof. Carter is amazing. The curve thing can be annoying though.
ms Carter is soooo cool. I have never met a cooler teacher. She is very understanding and a great teacher at the same time. I highly recommend taking her class.
Very nice and helpful teacher. Lets you out of class early and also cancels class some days too. She grades on a curve so it's impossible not to get good grade. Very understanding teacher. Highly reccomended.
The best thing I like about Dr.Carter is that she understands students. She works with you if you need any assistance.
TAKE HER!! I promise it will be the best educational move you've ever made!!
Great instructor....she's makes learning fun.
Nice teacher with great personality. As long as u come to class and do your work, it is impossible to get below A.
Take Carter...you won't regret it!
Great teacher! Uses current events to help aide in teaching. Great class interaction and always available for help, if needed.
Great teacher & personality, tests aren't too bad & she isn't too strict on attendance.
I LOVE HER! not 'cause she automatically gives you an A but she is REALLY understanding. Shes really good at teaching. Her tests are hard but she curves it A LOT. On our first 2 tests we got 16 pts added to our score. She's really laid back but doesn't slack off. Plus if you are satisfied with your 3 test scores you dont have to take the final.
Guaranteed A, without a doubt. Rarely studied for my tests, only her study guides from her website carterecon.com four tests drop the lowest, econ essay, creative project...people who drop her class should drop out of school instead of taking other students seats! she is a bit dorky and funny so youll enjoy her class
Easy A! Dummies the class down completely, not even worth attending lecture. What you learn during a 90 min lecture u can read in the book in 15mins if your even reasonably intelligent. Don't email her! SHE NEVERR RESPONDS, and if she does its a month later with some random excuse. Honestly, most unreliable faculty member at El CO, okay teacher tho
MS. CARTER IS GREAT! TOOK HER FOR ECON1 & GOT AN EASY "A". ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT & MAKE SURE TO READ. I WISH SHE WAS AVAILABLE FOR ECON2 NIGHT CLASSES! TESTS ARE NOT HARD AND SHE ASSIGNS A COUPLE PROJECTS, WHICH ARE NOT DEMANDING!
very cool teacher. cuts you a lot of slack on grading, but at the end of the class you find out how much you've really learned. Got an A without books, but might not recommend that for everyone. just get strong fundamentals, and you will do well. Final can be optional if you clinched the A. nice! awesome class! Would take again!
Carter is awesome. She's really easy going & eases the stresses of test-taking by letting you leave some questions blank & get points for it. She's funny, entergetic, crystal clear to understand. If you're really into ECON, it might be too easy & not enough of a challenge. But if you're taking ECON 5 for GE credit, she's the one for you!!!
I can safely say that she is the nicest and the most sweetest professor ever in the economics department. Her tests are reasonable too. Although sometimes lectures can get alittle boring, some of the examples that she gives you actually surprises you. Whats also great is that shes so up to date on current events. I'd strongly suggest taking her.
She is the best... she is the nicest...sweetest. she understands everybody's situation...she cares about her students... she is really nice...honestly, i wish we had more like her at elco. i wish her the best:)
This class was easy. I honestly went the entire semester without even opening the book. Easy projects, drops lowest test score, curves the tests as well.
I love Professor Carter. She really engages her students into discussion. Is reasonable with grading and provides interesting assignments such as a mock stock exchange competition. Love her so much taking her for Econ 2
Great teacher if you've never taken any Econ class before. Very clear and teaches it so you understand. Study her notes. Book is rarely used and mainly for backup. She is nice and very helpful.
Prof. Carter is cool and knows her subject. She may seem out of sorts and readily admits to bouts of memory lapse, but do not be fooled, she knows econ cold. She let us use flash cards for the tests and she drops the lowest of the three test scores. You do a virtual stock exchange which is cool but addictive, and 3 projects one is a short essay.
Carter is a pretty good teacher. The tests are hard, but thats about it. The subject of econ is hard anyway but she does a good job of teaching it. Do all the projects and get full credit and try for tons of EC and you'll get an A. Stock project IS addicting but not fun if you lose at the end. Great lady, funny stories, good class. Recommended.
She's cool. Lectures are easy to understand, but exams are hard. Allows flash card, grades on curve, & takes 3 highest exam grades out of 4. Boosts grade in the end if she sees that u understand & applied the concepts in a creative proj. Interesting stock market proj + summary, & 1 econ.essay. does not require APA format for any of the assignments!
Pretty easy class. Read the book and you should do well on the tests. She lets you use a flashcard and grades tests on a curve. There are 4 tests and your lowest gets dropped. If you are happy with your grade you don't have to take the final. I would recommend this instructor.
Carter is prob the best Econ teacher there. She's not that hard, but the material is. Study her notes. If you get it when she teaches it, just review b4 the tests and ull do fine. Do all projects (3)to try to get 100 since they are easy. Curves tests! Drops lowest test and projects are easy so its easy to get an A. Take her and have fun. NO HW!
She is a a great professor. I took good notes, and didn't use the text book once and did just fine. She drops your lowest test and curves them on top of that. Not to mention she is extremely flexible about due dates. No hw, but three easy (some fun) projects.
Class time flew by, very light hearted class and Carter is very easy going. We played games based on economic theory and lectures when we didn't. Clear instruction and answers any question we had. Never had to get into my textbook. 3tests and final, drops lowest test score, but if test scores are to your liking you dont need to take the final.
Dr. Carter is the greatest teacher ever. She is extremely thorough and very helpful. She makes you fall in love with economics. I dreaded taking this class but I was pleasantly surprised. She is awesome, everyone should experience her class.
easy A, fun teacher, dont have to take final if you do well on previous tests. i ended up with an easy A, didnt even have to bother with last 2 weeks worth of stuff for the finals. taker her!
EASY....!!! If you think this is hard, don't plan on transferring anywhere besides ELCO again !! ha ha....seriously, it's easy...take to maintain a 4.0, if you have one like I did!
SHES GREAT! she explains everything very well. she also uses a lot of videos. pretty easy. all projects were very simple and fun. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
Professor Carter is awesome! Super laid back and easy to understand. If you do well on the first two tests, you don't have to take the final. 1 short paper and 1 project. Take her if you can.
awesome teacher! Shes very passionate about what she teachers. makes you watch lots of interesting videos her tests are somewhat hard so you have to study. always curves the tests and drops the lowest one. Great teacher! you dont even have to bother with the book she never makes you use it!
what a professor !!! I have never seen such teacher. if u don't know anything about Econ you will definitely know after taking her. very easy going professor.very informative
She goes off the syllabus all the time to talk rubbish which is not in the exam. Exams are easy as long as you read the familiarize with your notes. Hate to come to class as it is a waste of time. Boring movies. I learnt nothing after this class even though I got an A.
She is lovely, I took her class her subject is not too clear, when it comes to test, her tests are really hard in spite of studying always had a hard time in her test, 3 tests drops lowest score. 1 essay and 1 project. PS. boring videos pay attention it is part of test around 20% econ by itself is hard subject i guess. I do recommand her class.
ECON. 5- Professor Carter is very helpful and willingly takes your questions during and after class. There are three tests including the final. Reading the text is necessary in order to do well, but she gives a study guide before tests. There are also two projects required toward the end of the semester. Her demeanor is laid-back and pleasant.
Carter is an excellent professor. She is so cute and motivated to teach her students. Exams aren't difficult if you have reviewed for the study guide. Also, she gives us chances to get high marks. Take her class and you won't regret it.
Highly recommend her class. She is straight to the point and if you understand your notes you don't need the textbook. You get to drop 1 test, so if you do well on all your tests you don't have to take the final. Advice: For the test make sure you can apply the concepts of your notes to real life situations and your not just memorizing it.
Dr. Carter teaches economics extremely well. She uses examples that are clear and concise. I greatly recommend taking Carter.
Easy class. Her lectures are very clear and easy to understand. The exams are multiple choice + short answer questions. Pretty easy if u understand her lectures. u wont need the book if u take good notes.
very nice teacher, just write down the notes in the lecture, you will do good on test.
greatest professor ever! She lets me fall in love with Econ, and i just decided to change my major. She's so helpful and lovely
I absolutely loved her! She is very down to earth and her lectures aren't boring. I took her for a night class once a week and it was very chill but I learned at the same time. If you pay attention in class and do the assignments you should be fine. Definitely recommend her!!!
BEST ECON PROF EVA!
Professor Carter is very chill. There are four tests, but she drops the lowest one. There are three projects but they are pretty easy. I ended up with an A in the class but you have to work for it!
Great economics teacher! She's really into what she's doing, the tests weren't too bad if you study and take good notes. The projects are a nice way to add some points to your grade. Overall I would definitely take her if you have the opportunity!
Class was kind of tough just take decent notes
One of the worst professors at El Camino. Don't be fooled by these reviews. She doesn't teach anything. Her tests are difficult for the average student. She is always tired. She works so much that she can't handle class material and finishes lecture in no time. She is very unorganized and forgets a lot. She got favorites and she doesn't add.
She is too liberal for me. She knows her stuff, but not my style. She's kinda Un organized too
She is pretty good at what she does, the class overall was alot of fun... for me at least she always comes to class late and she always allows the class to leave early. Overall shes good.
Very fun class. You have to read the book outside of class. Easy class for the smarts. A little tough for the averages
Professor Carter seems to be a great human being. Her knowledge of economics also seems to be extensive; however, she does not teach much. She often puts on extremely liberal and annoying documentaries. (not a class for conservatives like myself)The class was easy though, and I got an A.
Assignments are easy and tests are HARD. Everything is technical down to the T. I feel like the teacher expects you to know the answers, yet about 80% of the answers do not match up to what is learned in the book. Practice tests are useless for the actual tests. I don't know if she is trying to be a hard teacher on purpose or just a bad style.
Professor Carter was a pretty helpful professor in general. Quizzes were a bit tough and tests were moderately difficult. Discussions were easy and extra credit was very helpful. She gives four exams and drops your lowest score of them. There are two projects as well.
Took Prof Carter for 8-week summer online class. Fast-paced, completely do-able. Laid back w a lot of time to do tests and assignments. Everything in class is straightforward on syllabus from day one. Budget 4-8 hours a week; 3 hr test every other week, but should only take 2 hr max. Read and make sure main concepts are clear and you'll do well.
Dope class was not as bad as I thought especially for it being 8 weeks. Test and quizzes are tough, but she does give extra credit and as long as you do all the assignments and discussion posts you will be fine.
Pretty easy class. Nice teacher. Let's you use a note card for some tests. The essay and creative project are pretty easy; don't be intimidated. Show up and take notes and you'll pass.
Carter's a pretty laid back and hilarious professor. Her class consists of 4 tests in which she drops the lowest score and she lets you use notecards on the tests. Lectures consists of note taking and watching four economic films throughout the semester. Take good notes in class, read occasionally and you should pass the class.
She is chill and easy going person, however I wouldn't recommend her to anybody. I don't really agree for her grading, especially for the projects. Her voice sounds kinda mumbling, hard to hear what she's saying.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. She is hard to understand and does not teach in depth during class. Have had multiple friends take the course as well and all have said the same thing. I literally failed every test but she did somehow give me a B for the semester so idk. Its up to you but choose wisely.
Professor Carter was a good teacher, very easy-going, class was pretty simple if you followed along with lectures. No need to purchase book from the Library, I learned after it was too late to return that she doesn't use it. She's not great at responding to emails or calls so speak with her in person.
Online- easy.. all you have to do is click and see her slides, sums up the chapters. Her 'concept check' ungraded quizzes help on the graded quiz. only checked in to do the disscussions and quiz. Easier than having to go to class every other day, reading the book will get you an A but you can get a B without it, just try. Horrible at emailing back
Typical online class: discussions, quizzes, and tests through ETUDES. Drops your lowest exam and gives a good amount of extra credit to boost grades. Although I have never seen her I can tell she is a kind professor. She responds back in typically 24 hrs. Great discussions and the stock market & final project are fun! :)
Professor Carter is one of my favorite professors I have had at El Camino. I took this class my spring semester of '16 and there isn't much to say. She is extremely informative and insightful on nearly every subject. Unfortunately 90% of her students were lazy bugs who always sat in class doing nothing. Hence the reason there are negative reviews.
I took her in the fall of 2014 for ECON 1 and her class was not hard at all all you have to do is take good notes and read the book sort of and you can pass the exams simply by getting a B and she curves the exam as well take her she is the best econ profs at elco
She is a nice person, maybe just need more control over the class, she gives easy assignments and easy tests
took professor carter's online class for the winter and it was great. although the work is online, she is specific with what she wants. she is there for you when needed and gives extra credit. make sure to read the book and take notes on the modules. the class is not hard so do not procrastinate.
Really enjoyed her class. She's nice, funny and really enjoys teaching. It's a very relaxed environment so everyone is comfortable around her and each other. Homework is easy and exams can be a little tough if you don't study the lecture notes or the recaps she provides.
Her notes are pretty cool not gonna lie. But she takes forever on replying back. Her test are okay not hard.
the class was ok mainly lectures and videos never uses the textbooks and I don't know how she created the test because the questions came out of nowhere
for those of you who are here solely to see if its an easy A, its not. however, definitely an easy B, put in some effort and you will for sure get an A. she uses a lot of videos to teach and hand picks lots of volunteers for activities during lecture, if thats not your thing, id steer clear. but she is super cool and chill and easy to talk to.
I loved this class and I thought Ms. Carter made it really easy to understand the subject. I would definitely recommend this teacher. If you didn't like her, it's probably because you're a slacker who thinks everything should be handed to you. Her online class was very good, take her!
A very creative instructor. The best online course I have taken, very organize, and easy to follow.
Really well structured class and makes an online class really simple. Didn't read much, but the test are somewhat tough, but overall a great class.
She gives good credit if you try. Generous on grades. Allows note cards and calculators on exam.
Do not know where the answer comes from. Very heavy exam. I dont want to recommend you this class.
She is amazing professor. She wants to give her students plant of extra credit. Just try doing your best you will have a great grade. Ive learned a lot through this economics class. There are a lot of things to do this summer. Finally I became to like economic class.
Took online Winter class. Fun but challenging, especially test questions. Good online lectures, fun & interactive discussions with the rest of the class She got sick during the end of the semester, but even before that it was several days before I'd get a response to even a simple question. Eventually got discouraged; then stopped asking questions.
I took my first online class with her and I have to say that I had a good experience. Her slides are so funny and she always asnwers to messages on Canvas. Not a tough grader, very easy class.
Tests are hard, but she offers 1 note card cheat sheet & she grades hard on tests. There are some in-class assignments, but she doesn't give any credit for them. There's also a few projects that are super easy. Doesn't answer emails EVER and she never updates your grade or incoming assignments on canvas either. I wouldn't recommend taking her.
Pretty good professor and straightfoward class. However, it takes her a while to return emails. About 2-3 chapters/modules assigned per week. There is a quiz at the end of every module. Two projects assigned: a creative economic project, and engaging in a Virtual stock market. 4 exams, drops your lowest one. Discussion board each week. I recommend.
I can't say enough good things about Professor Carter. She cares about her students and will go the extra mail to help her students to success. I highly recommend taking her.
Professor Carter is great and if you take her in person she will help you after class to make sure you understand the material. 4 exam and she drops the lowest one. Her tests are a bit difficult, but the projects boost your grade even if you average a B or C on them. She allows one cheat sheet/ flashcard on every exam, so use that to your advantage
This is the worst professor I have had in my life. She literally didn't teach us one thing in class prior to COVID, and has completely took the hands off approach for online. Some weeks she sends out an email of what to read, and thats literally it, nothing more. Doesn't respond to emails, grade on time, or tell us shes changing due dates. AWFUL!
the previous comment before mine came from an idiot. this class is super easy and we barely do any work. there are 4 tests and she drops the lowest one. there is one essay at the end of the semester but don't worry its not that hard. the class is made up by 4 tests, an essay, a project, and a lot of extra credit. Also, no video lectures. TAKE IT!
The class is easy. Exams are very fair. My issue is her communication. She barely responded to emails I sent her. I wanted things like clarification on certain assignments or what I had to read before exam 3 and 4. The poor communication is the only reason Im giving 3 stars. Shes very nice and very approachable. I took the class during COVID.
Professor Carter's great. She leaves nice comments on your work if you're doing her online course. Just do your work and read the book, you should be able to do well.
A tough class that makes you work hard for your grade. Must read the book in order to do well. The stock market game is very fun and actually was my favorite part of the class. Communication with the teacher is not the best
Online/COVID. This woman is a saint. A blessing from above! Her modules are so funny. Read your textbook (it's not boring or expensive), but DO NOT buy it until you begin the course. You will not regret taking her class!
Took her during covid and she's a good teacher. She is not hard she is very good just kinda lags on replying to emails. She drops the lowest test score(theres 4) I didn't buy the textbook and passed with an A. Towards the end she gives a creative project and a stock summary to improve your grade. She is a reasonable teacher, easy class overall.
Professor Carter was excellent. Her class is filled with a lot of information to help with her assignments and exams. Make sure you look through all information she provides you and you will be able to pass the class. I recommend!
I took this class online and the professor makes the courses easy and interesting. She is very caring and the homework is straightforward and simple as well.
Took her class Winter 2020-21. Very fast-paced but stick to the modules and you'll get an A. The Stock Game is extra credit if you handle your stocks well.
Took the class Fall 2019, and I found the class to be rather straight-forward. In order to do well: read the textbook outside of class to study, and make sure to pay attention during lectures and take detailed notes. She was very down-to-earth, and explained the concepts covered in Econ 1 very well! Tests were curved, which was nice bonus.
I recommend this Prof. You can see the effort Prof. C puts into the class. Prof. C creates outlines of the chapter that are helpful. There's a weekly chapter followed by two quizzes. The assignments are very interesting and sometimes allow for creativity. To pass, you will need to study but the material is very manageable. Suggestion: don't slack.
I love this professor, just read her modules and the text book you'll pass
Winter 2022, Fun Class. Busy class. Easy to follow. Do all assignments, extra credit, and pass test, you will pass class. Stay on top of due dates. Not a hard class. I would take it again.
Assignments straight to the point many assignment but they are not difficult Took over the summer with another class while working full time. every point counts lowest test scored will be dropped. Deductions for late work. Text books free book or buy read even if its just a quick scan The stock game was really fun (research before buying stock).
+ drops lowest test (4 tests 3 go in equaling 54 percent of grade). + easy class overall, chill grader +no cumulative final +Zero textbook cost + easy projects. - short tests resulting in small room for error. - slow to put in grades makes it hard to figure out where you stand.
Dr. Carter knows how to make economics fun to learn. She gives the option for a textbook to purchase or a free one. Grades are put in on time and there are lots of extra credit opportunities. Get ready to read and be diligent with homework assignments. She organized a stock purchasing game (play money) that shows how we gain or lose in real time.
Very straightforward class. Literally no homework. Only had to read and listen to lectures/textbook for quizzes and exams. Final project/stock summary were very simple and not complicated at all. I would recommend taking this class and more specifically this teacher because she's good.
Very nice, also let me have a week long extension.
Dr. Carter makes economics engaging. Assignments are manageable, and the stock game is a fun way to apply concepts. Rely on the free textbook and unstuckstudy for study prep - it really helps!
I took AP econ in hs didn't pass the exams, so I thought I would be doomed but prof carter made econ really easy! I took her hybrid so it was the perfect mix. I also tried really hard in high school though to pass the class at least, so I mostly relied on that knowledge to pass. but she gives out extra credit like candy and accepts late work!
Lectures were short but informative, she's funny and has us do fun activities related to econ. She did not assign much hw, very few assignments. 4 exams and she drops the lowest one. Your given a stock project in the beginning of the semester, then finish it off with a summary at the end. Chill grader, would highly recommend if you want an easy A.
I suggest taking her hybrid course. She was super nice and very straightforward, She has extra credit. I would retake her class. HIGHLY suggest!!!!
Information must be read directly through the modules; tests are directly pulled from those modules, as well as videos and articles assigned within them. Most of your grade is dependent on tests, but discussion posts and short writing assignments are thrown in as well. Overall a very straightforward class, readings aren't too long, tests are simple
Love this professor!!! Lots of extra credit opportunity. Fun lecture. Fun assignment.
Took this class online last spring. Very very easy, she reccomends you read the textbook, but personally I did not have to, I learned enough by reading her modules and watching the videos. Lots of quizzes and discussions but graded easy.
Shes great! honestly so easy to just take online, it is the same structure as in person. Its just quizes and unit tests. I took it in person and there was only 3 tests. Shes really nice and understanding and will open an exam if you miss by accident.
Excellent professor, took the hybrid class, met once a week, the exams were alright, just study the slides she provided.
It was alright until she decided near the end to quietly slide in assignments worth lots of points, and doesn't mention them at all, which is surprising. I did one discussion, and everyone else started doing it, which is insane. They ain't too hard but very annoying to deal with
She is so chill def take her its really easy to pass, but there are three exams and she drops the lowest score, they're hard but she drops the lowest score which helps a lot and one was online so it was easy. Lectures were boring tho
very easy class
