In this class the teacher is very good, the assignments are easy to do and the exams are easy too. I recommend this teacher in any math class.

If I had to take this class I would take it with the same teacher. He is very understandable and easy to understand the class, attendance is not mandatory and if you do well on the exams you will have a good grade.

Overall good professor. As for the homework he doesnt grade it but if you do the homework as practice then the test will be fairly easy as some questions are from the homeworks. He will help you out if you are stuck on any questions.

This class is an easy A as long you pay attention to the lectures and prepare well for the exams. Attendance and homework were not mandatory, however, I do recommend them if you want to do well! Lectures are simple and easy to follow. Some subjects are a little confusing at first but once you do the homework you will be ok. More attempts on the homework would be nice since exams and homework make up the majority of the grade for this class. Exams are since they mirror the homework but with different numbers.

This is the third class Im taking with Prof. Prince. He makes Math easy for everyone. Dont worry if you miss some lectures. You just have to go back to the recording sessions and and the PDF lecture notes and you will be fine. He is one of the best MATH teachers in Hostos. Im glad to have him.

Homework is rough, each assignment is test length and you only have 2 attempts so you're discouraged from getting anything wrong which is odd because homework is supposed to be where you make mistakes and then learn from them, weirdly that's penalized. As a teacher he's good though, easy to reach and teaches thoroughly. No tests are dropped though.

Never have I ever had an online professor that was so clear and concise with the material and our time. He made an asynchronous course so much more comprehensive and easily accessible. This is my second time taking Dr. Prince since I enjoyed him so much the first time. He is caring, diligent and really wants his students to learn. The class is very flexible as far as attendance but make sure you go back and watch the recorded lectures.

Previously I complained about how homework was pretty unforgiving and defeated the purpose of homework, as you had limited attempts. Now that he's dropped graded homework entirely the class feels a lot better, especially since he still DOES give homework, just not graded. Excellent lectures, always willing to answer questions even outside of class.

His lectures are very thorough and he gives many resources for the topics. There is so much given to you in this class that it's almost impossible to not understand the material as long as you do the work. He grades very fairly as well. Overall I highly recommend taking a class with this professor.

He taught Calc 3 very well during my fall 2023 semester. He would make sure every student would be able to catch up on the material, which was nice of him, but it made the material feel kind of dumbed down. Overall I would recommend Dr. Prince.

Professor Tanvir prince is great he teaches well and motives you to work and he cares for his students

Was expecting to have a bad time cuz of my past experiences on Calc classes but I was surprised when it wasn't the case. The professor is clear with his explanations and always pairs it with examples, he would always be there to answer your questions and would even stay at the end of the class to help. Also very considerate, I couldn't ask for more

Even though calculus 3 is a very hard class Professor Prince makes sure you are able to learn calculus 3 even though the course is online (he is also VERY flexible).

Tanvir Prince always made the class fun with little jokes and stories here and there. He was a good teacher who made calc 3 digestible and easier to understand. I enjoyed my time in class with him and hope the future class has just a good time as I had.

This is final class in college I had to take, and he sure ended my college experience on a high note. The professor taught each section very well and the professor is very considerate on deadlines on assignments on where he will extend it if you ask him.

i'm taking this class during the summer with tanvir again and my opinion is still the same! he's very nice and he explains math very clearly unlike any i've seen before during college. it's hard to get lost as he also records his lectures and have notes posted after class. gives extra credit and he's also very accessible outside of class!

i come to class every time because he helps me learn and enjoy math unlike others who are dismissive and unhelpful. i don't regret taking him as i have learnt a lot from someone who has helped me feel interest in math again. teachers matter and good ones may change your opinion about the subject. thank you so much tanvir if you're reading this!!!

Professor Prince is one of the best professors Hostos has. I took Calculus 3 with him, and now differential equations. He's a wonderful guy. He gives you class notes. If you don't understand something, he's happy to explain it again. He's a very kind person. Don't hesitate, take the class! You won't regret it.

Professor Tanvir was great. The class was mostly asynchronous, but everything was very well organized and self-explanatory. The instructions were clear, and all the materials were easy to follow. Even without live sessions, it was easy to stay on track and understand the content. Overall, a smooth and positive learning experience.

I epermitted to Hostos to take professor Tanvir for 2 semesters because how amazing his teaching is. He explains complex concepts in a way that you will understand. Very caring and accessible outside of class. As long as you pay attention in lecture, his exams are very fair and straight forward. Amazing professor and I want to take him again.

This professor is very understanding about the fact that life can get in the way sometimes and gives out enough late passes for each homework so that you can give it in basically whenever and get full credit.

The class is very simple, it is fully asynchronous, and the grade is only dependent on the homework. There is a lot of homework, and it is a horrible idea to save for the last minute. He is very caring and sends constant reminders about doing the homework and helps pace you.

Great professor. Clear grading criteria . If you put time, you can get an A for sure . He is always available to help with anything regarding this course . I would definitely recommend him . Unlike some other professors I took before for few other courses , he doesn't give you unnecessary workload.

The Only Reason This Class is Easier Than Calculus 2 is because he allows us to use Wolfram Alpha to solve the integrals. The tests are not even hard it's the exact same as the homework. The Geogebra visualizations and vector field tools were very helpful in visualizing the math.

Professor Prince is an easy A.for the fall semester he only gives 10 easy assignments,which can take you about 15 minutes to complete. ability to communicate ideas in a way that supports different learning styles. welcome questions,ensure that every student feels comfortable participating. consistently check for understanding before moving forward.

Professor tanvir, is excellent teaching math. He is very kind and repeat the material that students dont understand. Definitly i would like to take other class again with him. One of the VERY FEW professors who still has that spark and love for what he teaches. A class that could've easily felt dull instead felt as if he was a friend showing us his interests. The professor is really good at explaining every subject, he is not one to rush, he is always making sure we are following along. He is always ready to answers questions, he sometimes makes us participate to to engage in the class to make sure we are learning. The professor is also very nice, not too strict, and very forgiving with HW.
