class is easy. online quizzes and homeworks every week. keep up with the online stuff and you'll have an A. only tests are midterms and finals. hard to understand. she usually gives an attendance quiz at the end of class
Class isn't bad if you do the homework and quizzes. She sometimes makes mistakes while teaching them so pay attention. She also isn't available much outside of class but the material isn't very hard.
I had her for Intermediate Algebra. Sometimes she wasn't very clear on what she wanted us to do and was hard to understand at times because of her accent. She is a pretty good teacher, although seems a little nervous sometimes.
Lots of homework, would not recommend if you are taking other classes or have a job. We had 100+ problems per chapter consistently. Class is not easy, but she does explain well. Just be prepared for 2 hours per night(all 7 nights a week) of homework. That is all.
I'm horrible in math, but did well in her course. Very good teacher. Helpful and beautiful. Highly recommend. Don't miss class or you will be LOST (same for every math course). Drops lowest test and homework score. Practice tests are EXACTLY like the exams. DO THEM OVER AND OVER and you will pass this class. Cummulative final, keep exams. :o)
Best teacher ever. Makes nonsense numbers actually make sense. Go to class, study, and pay attention and you will pass. Never used textbook not even once, but you have to have the coursecompass. Totally hot!
Great teacher, very beautiful - in fact so beautiful it's sometimes hard to concentrate. But a great teacher nonetheless - sometimes makes mistakes but overall is very clear and straight forward.
I don't really learn that much in her class because I can't understand her accent. I basically just learn everything in Lab. Can't wait for Bressler to get her Masters!
She talks so low, you cant understand her. she trys to be nice, but shes not. would not reccomend sitting in her lecture class. it will make you fall asleep.
I enjoyed her class, she is beautiful and don't mind her accent.
Got an A. Go to every lecture, she drops lowest 2 grades & attendance. Go to the mid-term and final reviews, they are exactly like the tests. Do all your work and you'll pass. Sucks because it doesn't count as a required math class. Good math professor!
She is very uninteresting teacher, she provides all the notes online which you are responsible for bringing to class. All of the quizzes and homework are given through coursecompass but her notes rarely correspond to the homework. I wouldn't recommend taking this class.
Lectures will put you to sleep. Her grading system is messed up and if you mess up on midterm and final you will fail. Dont take her!!!
I took this class over the summer. I thought she was great and very helpful.
She will go out of her way to help you if you ask. Yes, attendance is mandatory and the classes are large, but if you listen to what she's saying and ask for help you will do just fine. Respect her and she will respect you! Yes, she has an accent, but her english is pretty perfect.
I agree her accent is not that bad. She is very approachable.
She was very nice and taught extremely well, one of the best math teachers I have ever had.
Teaches well enough. Nice to look at with a cool accent. Notes don't match with homework, and homework doesn't match with online quizzes, leading to pretty much failure in her later quizzes. Take if only necessary.
Prof. Huffman was great. Yes, she goes through her lectures pretty fast, but I took this class just to review my math from high school. It was easy A.
Not the nicest, I didn't have problems w/ her but she yelled @ a lot of others. Good professor but goes through lectures very quickly & w/ english being her 2nd language sometimes her analogies don't make sense. Need to depend on lab teacher to go through problems in detail but the class is not difficult. Attendance and HW are very important!!
Professor Huffman is wonderful. I took her for this class and Intermediate Algebra and I would take her again! She will go out of her way to help you if you have a problem and understands that not everyone is good at math. Her accent is NOT a problem; I've heard New Yorkers speak with a stronger accent then hers. BEST math teacher I've ever had!
Absolutely love this professor. Such an easy class. Attendance is mandatory, homework is online, and five tests. Plus you get to retake one of your test during the final exam week. 100 % Recommend.
She's a pretty good teacher tries to make the class interesting. She has an accent which is goofy sometimes, annoying to listen to.
this teacher treats people like 5 year olds. no laptops, texting, leaving classroom to go to the bathroom, and gets angry if you leave. seems like nice person, but in class can be mean, though she trys really hard to make it fun and interesting. goes REALLY slow, therefore boring if you understand math at all.
TAKE THIS CLASS you wont regret it!! yes, she speaks low and has a slight accent but dont let that distract you. go to class, pay attention, and you'll get at least a B. def one of the best math teachers ive ever had
This class is not easy at all. But she was extremely helpful and engaging her class was not boring at all if you like math. She is very cute and has a good taste in music
This is one of the best math teachers i have ever had. I had her for two classes now and she is such a great professor who is always willing to help her students. Class is very fun, she uses little objucts like pennys and rulers to explain material.I would take any of her classes.
I mean it's college algebra so it's a joke. As a professor she's alright I think.. I spent most of the time catching up on sleep for my real classes during this class. The only thing I didn't like is that she makes it mandatory to go to lectures.
this class was easy however it had nothing to do with her everything is online it is possible to get 100% on all homeworks use the help me slove this and if you get it wrong do the similar exercise until you get it write exams are easy if you pratice with the review and your quizes the questions are the same i didnt pay attention during lecture
This professor was ok, not the best. I mainly relied on my lab instructor to teach me most of the material. I got an A. All homework online. practice tests were helpful except there was always a few problems she failed to put on the practice test which made u get them wrong. Overall she was ok but be prepared to do lots of the learning on your own.
Math is an easy topic for me so I did not really mind sitting through her class but she did try and make the class entersting for her students. She really did not have time to go into a lot of detail, which is why there is a lab portion. She almost NEVER finished her lectures. She is a good teacher and goes in detail but maybe to much for the time
Very good teacher!
Awsome professor. Test are written so you must study. Good lecture...very easy to fallow. Good professor to take if you really want to learn
Horrible, doesn't actually teach anything, just reviews quickly as if you already know everything. Doesn't take the time to help and really doesn't seem to care about students at all. Take online or with another teacher!
Professor Huffman is by far the BEST math teachers that I have had so far. I am still taking her class right now. She presents the material very clearly, extremely helpful during office hours. Weekly projects, midterm and final, online homework. She is very approachable for questions. Take her for all your math classes!!!
She is a really nice teacher and very hot! Everything is explained really well in class. She's always willing to answer all of your questions. I would recommend taking her class if your interested in learning stats.
Great Professor... Did use a LOT of paper though for worksheets and in class activities. The Midterm and final were very similar to the reviews that she posted on Web assign. Don't buy the book! You'll never need it in class. Her Accent is a bit rough at times and she's soft spoken, but once she got a mic she was fine.
I really like Professor Huffman!! Her class is challenging at times, but as long as you do your homework online, which you can do as many times as you want until you get an 100, and do the study guide for the exams and you'll be fine! I'm not a math person, but this class became easy and enjoyable =) Thanks Professor Huffman!
Great teacher, gives study guides for exams which are really helpful. Take advantage of office hours to ask questions on the study guide.
Really Hard. Had to attend every office hour to understand material. Hundreds of worksheets.
Professor Huffman is actually really nice. She is really encouraging and tries to help as much as she can. The reviews she gives out before the exam are really important!
Professor Huffman is fantastic. The worksheets she gives out during class are very helpfull. The exam reviews she provides are exactly like the exams and help a lot. I really enjoyed this class and would definitely recommend her!
By far one of the best Statistics professors. Worksheets are very helpful in terms of studying. She gives practice tests before every exam and holds review sessions. Tries to keep the class less boring through activities. She is there to help as long as you ask. Pay attention, take notes and you should be fine.
Take this professor! All you have to do is pay attention and you will do fine. She walks you through the material and her notes are extremely helpful.
Highly recommend Prof. Huffman. Students may find the course challenging, but she makes sure to simplify the material & explain the concepts really well. She hands out worksheets for each lecture so students can follow along & then solve sample problems in groups. Occasionally she will have students create statistical data in class & work with it.
She's a good teacher, but make sure to be there every time. Otherwise you won't be prepared for her tests and will get yelled at. Her notes and homework are your ticket to passing her classes, so make sure to pay attention to them. Honestly, I recommend other professors, unless it's for intermediate algebra.
She's great! If you have a hard time with math classes, this is the professor to take - it's print-heavy, but the notes are clear and useful, she walks you through everything and she always gives test guides. She's very nice, and very patient in my experience. The only downside is that she rarely answers e-mail, so go to her office if you need her!
Professor Huffman is a great stats professor. The class was at 8 am, but she made it worth going because she would send around attendance and work sheets which would instantly boost your grade just by signing in. Her tests are hard, but she helps her students and is drops a couple low grades. If you are willing to put in the effort, take her class.
Great Professor. Master her handouts and you will do fine. Do not fall behind. I enjoyed Prof. Huffman.
Awesome Professor. Hands dwon best math teacher I've ever had. If you study hard for the exams and complete the study guide you will do well. Go to her office hours with questions, she is very helpful. Not an easy class but I would definitely recommend her if you have to take it!
She can be anymore helpful Ive never taken anything close to calculus and is passing with an A. Although I've done all the work required and shown up to all the classes and studied for the exams. Super helpful and nice. Will teach you if you pay attention especailly on the harder topics.
Great professor! She is very thorough in explaining and works through each topic at a pace that makes everything easier to understand. Gives great study guides for exams and is very helpful. Show up to class and do the homework and study guides and you will do great!
Pr. Huffman is a great teacher. She definitely loves statistics more than an average person. She finds joy when a student know what he/she is doing and when she can help. She provides concept papers and study guides. Make sure you do all the homework and go to every class and you will for sure pass.
Very nice and very clear even though she has a soft Russian accent. Im not very good at math but she made it easy to understand. Tests are kinda hard but as long as you do the practice problems in her notes and the ones that she gives, you'll do fine.
Professor Huffman is a great professor. She genuinely cares about each student and is willing to help. Her tests are pretty hard, and she doesn't drop many grades but she really helps you understand the material. If you take this class, be prepared to LEARN math.. not just skim by.
Class wasn't bad, you have to print papers that you work on each class that she created. You don't need the book. Sometimes there's a pop quiz but it's really easy. Homework assignments online.
Honestly, I don't think she's not that bad. She gives you the notes that will be discussed in class and to fill out. She has random quizzes for attendance. If you do all the homework online and study for the tests (which she gives you a study guide for) there's no reason why you shouldn't pass the class. I have an A now.. I would take her again.
I would not recommend this teacher. Her class is impossible if you aren't somewhat decent at math. Her grading for group projects makes absolutely no sense. Her classes are long and boring. The "study guides" she gives don't help at all. They are nothing like the test. If you want to pass Elementary Calculus DO NOT TAKE HER.
She hands out the lecture notes to everyone, and you follow along. She has an accent, but it's eloquent. There are short in-class group-assignments. She will randomly give pop-quizzes or take attendance at the last 15 minutes of class. HW is online. Math isn't my passion, so let's just say I used 'probability' to pass with a C, hahah. She's fine.
Worst professor I've ever taken. Her so called "study guides" don't help at all. Tests are very tough. What you learn in class or whatever you review over your homework, won't help on the tests. She assumes you've taken the class before and therefore doesn't actually review the concepts you need to know. Prepare for group projects. DO NOT TAKE HER!
There's a reason why the average grade in her class is D+.. the handouts she does in class do not help you with the homework assignments. You do 3 group projects which are such a water of time. Doesn't have a review prior to exams. The exams are a lot harder then the stuff she goes over in class. Bottom line, Do not take her!!!
She made sense half the time.
Dropped her class. She made absolutely no sense. You practically have to teach yourself, avoid taking her.
To be completely honest, Calculus isn't my forte, but she makes it so much harder than it needs to be. We have about two months left in the semester but our classes grade average is a 58. She gives in class assignments that aren't too difficult but will lower your grade if you don't do them. Avoid taking her if you can and if you can't, I'm sorry.
Don't be put off by other students reviews on her. Math, calculus no doubt, does not come easy for me but if you put the effort in to pass then you will. I have an A in her class now and that's only because I bust my butt to do good on her exams, which there are only a few of. Her class is definitely passable, you just have to put the work in.
No matter what, math takes a lot of work, but if you are wiling to study you will pass. She is helpful respectful, and very willing to help. Some projects are unclear, but she encourages you to go to her office hours. Assigns 3 group projects, and you really have to go to class for the in-class assignments. Tests are tough, but she curves.
I had professor Huffman for every math class here at FGCU. She's an amazing professor that actually teaches you the material. She wants you to learn and really understand the concepts. If you're looking for a professor that's just going to let you slide by, then Huffman isn't for you. Take her if you want math to become easy and understandable.
She's not concise on anything. she's boring. She teaches straight out of the book, so better teach yourself. She assigns these stupid group projects right before finals and doesn't focus on review. She can't even help you because she doesn't know what she is talking about half the time. DONT TAKE HER!!!!!
I have never had more group projects or writing assignments in my life than I had in this calculus class! You have about 9 projects in total and about 3 writing assignments. The tests are HARD! Study the homework and textbook problems she recommends. Also go to her office hours and SHOW UP TO CLASS! Don't skip, she gives in class graded activities!
This class is so hard. She expects everyone to be as smart as her. If you're good at stats then you'll do good if not I don't suggest her. Don't expect to have any sort of forgiveness. You either pass or you don't.
Professor Huffman really doesn't go much into detail and works very fast. I'm terrible at math and have had tutoring my whole life, but even with tutoring this class is extremely difficult. Homework is a bit heavy & attendance is mandatory, she gives assignments at the end of the class to be turned in. Don't take this class if you're bad at math.
So you have 3 exams plus the Final. She gives you an opportunity to get 5 extra credit points on each exam. Homework is 1-2 times a week and she gives you a packet of notes to fill out as she gives you the answers. Overall i would take her again.
I took stats in high school and didn't understand anything. But taking it with Professor Huffman was completely different. Everything seemed so easy and she teaches the subject very well. Online homework every week and she gives you pre-printed notes that you just fill in during lectures. Currently have a 95% in the class and I'm so glad I took her
Mild accent, robotic teaching style. Lectures are VERY helpful, attendance recommended. Exam questions easy to study for, as she gives solid reviews prior to each 1. Homework was very easy for a math course (1-2 hours avg. week). Final: Comprehensive, medium difficult, keep your packets from earlier in semester.
Professor Huffman is a very straight forward teacher who really wants you to suceed. If you are good at algebra, you'll pass easily. Her lectures are often slow and boring, and theres an in-class assignment every day and homework twice a week, 4 tests and a final. Just make sure you go to class so your grade doesnt drop from attendence.
Her lectures were very effective in making the material easy to understand. The course packets and the exam practices she provides makes studying for her exams very easy.
SHe is a very good teacher for stats. The class is very easy and her guided notes really reflect whats on the exams. I recommend
She is the worst professor I have ever had. Do no take her class she will make a math major hate math.
Shes an amazing professor that makes stats so easy. She has notes that you print out before class and then fill it in during the lecture. After the lecture you do a quick activity which is graded. Tests are pretty straight forward and easy just make sure you do the study guide and she will give you an extra 5 points on the test.
She's really good. I highly recommend her. Got 100% easily in her class.
WOW, worst class I've had yet. Nice lady, However, she does not teach the material well, and the tests are extremely difficult. Be prepared to fail if you do not have a friend good at math, or if you aren't good at math. But if you're good at math, and show up to class, you'll do just fine.
Prof. Huffman is a wonderful woman, her classes are clearly structured with a easy to understand lecture and examples followed by practice problems and an exit problem. Homework is relatively light but useful and there are practice problems. Tests are easy if you grasped at least the main idea of the chapters. Simple final exam.
Great professor!!! I have taken Stats before and hated it, but she made it very easy to understand. She gives very good lectures, shows lots of examples, and gives you extra credit chances. Her tests are not hard if you study. Attendance is crucial, she gives exit assignments to check attendance. 100% would take her again!!
Prof. Huffman was great! Ive never had a math instructor who explained things so well and thoroughly. Shes always available for help when needed. No extra credit, but she does offer five extra points per test if you get a 90 on the practice one. In class assignments and notes so you def need to go to class. Would definitely take again!
The class sin't that hard, but I personally taught myself through the homework. She is okay, but sometimes she says something that is confusing. If you aren't good at math, you'll have a hard time. Homework is due online twice a week.
Doesn't stop her lecture to answer questions, moves 1,000,000 miles an hour through her slides and loves to give impossible "projects"
Professor Huffman teach statistics in a way that us non mathematical people can understand. I like her style of teaching which made it a bit easier for me. attendance is mandatory because after every class she gives an assignment for the day. She also gives the opportunity to earn 5 extra credit points on each of her exams.
Great professor overall. the class wasn't that difficult. but there is online homework due twice a week and extra credit so take advantage on those to help your grade. Tests are somewhat difficult but it shouldn't be if you do the homework and practice exam. She takes attendance for grades sometimes and has exit activities.
Really great professor, explained the material very well, tests were reasonable and there were no surprises, plus you get extra credit if you can score above a 90 on the practice exam. One of the tests is dropped as well which helped a ton. No complaints here, am very glad I took her for pre-calc, and I feel very prepared going into calc 1.
I took this class expecting it to be easy, I took stats in high school and it was recommended for non-math or non-science majors. However; it kicked my butt. Class was virtually useless because the professor was so confusing, BUT you couldn't skip because there was a quiz basically every class. Taught myself everything.
She talks very fast, but overall she's a great professor.
Look, I SUCK at math, like, REALLY SUCK at math. Although Prof. Huffman is awkward and quirky at times, she explained things so that even I was some-what able to wrap my incompetent head around it. Took her for stats AND college algebra (which i failed with another prof the first time) and passed. C's get degrees kids. 10/10 would recommend.
She is super sweet and is really understanding. I was sick a lot while taking her class and she always helped me out. She really simplifies math, especially for people who aren't good at math. But I found it particularly difficult to stay focused during class because she does go painstakingly slow. I would recommend for those who are bad math.
She is a very soft spoken professor it is very hard to understand her at times math has always been my good subject and I can always teach myself the material she is definitely not a professor for someone who struggles make sure you always print the notes and follow along you will mostly learn by the homework she also has a huge group project
DO NOT take this professor. She glimpses over complex concepts and exaggerates the simple concepts. Her teaching style is rushed and inconsistent. She phrases questions weirdly and does not express relationships between the chapters. I work hard to understand this class and I still ended up going to another professor's office hours.
Took PreCalc with her. Make sure you get to class on time unless you'll be locked out of the room. Classes normally had a boring 1-hour lecture with a 30-minute handout that you worked on with people nearby. Tests were generally easy with questions coming from notes.
Great professor, organized, responsive, able to clearly explain complex problem. When I needed help, she met with me through Zoom conference, very helpful. Thank you very much for the course
An actual angel. I am the absolute worst at math and she made it very easy and understandable. She essentially holds your hand through the entire course. There is a lot of homework, but she gives you a week to do it. The exam reviews are harder than the exam themselves and gives you 6 tries to redo your homework assignment and exam reviews.
Class material was easy, I just wasn't fond of they way she taught it. I felt she explained things confusing but maybe it was just me. No textbook, but had to buy My Math Lab. Given multiple times to re-attempt a homework assignment, and had two attempts for quizzes. Mine was half online half in person
Her class is all about lectures. Statistics has lots of steps and data so working problems out is time-consuming. Make sure to ask her how to use the calculator for each topic because the calculator will do all the work for you. She doesn't get to emails in the afternoon and she'll count off 10pts for late work after each day.
The class itself isn't easy but Professor Huffman's lectures are quite helpful. Her exams and quizzes are okay(lockdown browser). She has a BUNCH of homework every week, some on canvas and some on MyLab. If you take it, try to stay on top of your assignments!!!!!
I took classes with Prof. Huffman for both statistics and pre-cal. She was such an awesome professor. Anything you needed, she was more than happy to help. Put in the work and she will put in just as much work back! Use the lecture notes!! Math online is hard but the notes and her lectures make it better! Quiz questions come straight from lecture!!
Never had a worse math teacher. Instead of giving us the formulas and being straight forward, she explained math like it was composition, trying to get us to 'guess.' Super confusing with the way she explains stuff, and will completely ignore teaching us topics that will be on the quizzes and the exams.
Get ready to teach yourself absolutely everything. No extra credit, 50% participation for the day if youre 5 minutes late to class. The way she teaches is also incredibly hit or miss. I would never take any of her classes ever again.
Calls on students randomly and then is rude to you if you dont know the answer right away. Puts content on the test we didnt learn in class and gives test review but the text covers completely different content from the review. Also goes extremely fast in class and when you ask her to explain something again she explains it very poorly.
Does not teach, makes rude and harsh comments to kids that don't understand how to do the problems. Does and will NOT review the tests or go over them, if you do do the review majority will not be on the test. FIND OTHERS IN CLASS THAT CAN HELP TUTOR
I took Huffman for Pre-Calculus and she was the worst professor that I have ever personally taken. It's clear that at times she didn't know what she was talking about, struggling to clearly provide help for her students. When students ask for additional help, she explains the concepts even more poorly. There were also random pop quizzes. Beware.
Not a bad professor, but she won't hold your hand through anything either. Not very accessible outside of class and expects you to be at your best every day, and she'll also call on students randomly so be prepared for that. She explains things pretty well in my opinion, and as long as you're proactive, she'll send that energy back at you.
Professor Huffman is a really good math teacher. She gives good lectures and answers all question. There is a nice amount of homework but it helps you with test. If you do good on homework you do good on test. The only negative thing I can say is that she does call on kids in front of the class to answer questions which wasnt my favorite thing
A lot of homework that dont really correlate to the tests. Make sure you always show up to class and to be early because participation is graded. Only thing that saves you is that the test are only 40% of your grade.
Definitely not an easy class, but if you put the work in, you will end with a good grade. She offers opportunities for extra credit toward exam grades.
Professor Huffman is a good teacher. She goes over notes in class and works out problems on the projector. You definitely have to do your part outside of class though, or you wont understand much.
I really liked the way she explains, and she was very helpful when you had questions
:/. Ok prof, difficult class. Felt class and homeworks did not prepare me for exams. No extra credit, no drops, tutoring and studying on your own is your best bet.
Professor Huffman was a very nice person, but a horrible teacher. Would speed through the lectures and immediately expect students to understand them.
If you could avoid taking her, you should. The homework is almost nothing like the tests, she gives homework 2 times a week, it's not difficult, but it is TIME CONSUMING. Her lectures are long and boring, and she is weird about helping with group work. She is an ok professor, just not a great one. Also not forgiving or caring, very straight forward.
The worst math teacher you can take for calc!! If there is any other teacher, take them instead!!! There are quizzes every class, which are super hard and unlike anything she teaches in the lecture. Then, any small mistakes, such as forgetting to put parentheses in places that truly aren't necessary, gets points taken off the quizzes. PLEASE RUN!!!
I took Professor Huffman my first semester of college and although I was already well acquainted with math, she made statistics an easy course. She lectured each class aside from tests (the final is optional as a grade booster and the lowest grade is dropped) and attendance is not tracked. Textbook is available but I never used it.
Good professor and is willing to help if needed. Exams are tough but extra credit is given which helps your grade. There is tons of homework but is manageable as long as you stay on top of it. She grades tough on in class assignments.
Terrible understanding the lesson
class is lots of HW and in class work, quizzes usually biweekly, and 2 exams, midterm and final. My class test overall test average of over 30 students was a 53%. A + is that she dropped 3 pop quizzes (they are very hard) and 1 hw which boosted my grade. I have heard that Bianco is a far better professor and I wound not recommend Huffman.
Professor Huffman's MAC1147 class has its challenges, but with dedication and helpful tools like Unstuck AI, you can succeed. Her lectures can be dry, but attending them and using the textbook are key. The workload is heavy, but manageable if you stay on top of it.
Her lectures are long and boring. Doesn't help on class work. She ask the class stupid questions. Test are hard.
Class was a 6/10 difficulty but she made it a lot harder than it had to be. Refused to help students figure out if their answers were correct of not. Also a really tough grader, not a lot of extra credit either. Was fun working in groups for classwork everyday though.
Just don't do it. Find a different professor while you can.
Woke up on a holiday with a message from her saying I had a 62 and in danger of being withdraw... assignments were missing because she didn't make it clear there are MYLAB assignments AND Canvas assignments. Long and drawn out syllabus but couldn't get to the point of what youre actually required to do. Refused to allow me make them up.
The professor provided a well-structured and clearly organized online course with very quick communication. The course is designed in a way that even someone with the attention span of a fly can follow along, as everything is spelled out clearly. Frequent and consistent reminders are also helpful.
She will overload you on homework, and its essentially the same assignments regurgitated on Canvas, Pearson and a 40 page "notes" document she requires you to complete. Absolutely ridiculous
would NEVER take this professor again. The content itself is pretty easy but all the steps you have to take to even figure out what you need to do is ridiculous.Sooo many notes, homework doesn't match tests. she is an extremely tough grader seemingly for no reason. run literally worst professor i've had EVER
Horrible professor and extremely disrespectful teacher. Do not ask for help or go to tutoring with her unless you want to hear her constantly sigh and get mad at you for not understanding or remembering things. If you get confused on something she gets mad and makes disrespectful comments. Gives a ton of notes and homework. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.
Professor Huffman was organized and presented information thoroughly and patiently. Even though it was a quickly paced class, she still took time to explain things more if we needed it. She explained things clearly and well. It made it easier to understand the material.
The teaching as a whole was very helpful to me. It was an engaging learning experience overall and everything was explained clearly and in an easily-digestible way. It was also a very supportive learning environment!
tests were not about what we are learning, questions do not match. so much homework barely anytime for any other class. The grading scale was completely unfair, taught myself everything, seems like she goes out of her way to make things harder. would not recommend at all avoid avoid avoid
DO NOT TAKE HER. She gives SO MUCH unnecessary homework (note packets of 25+ pages, multiple canvas quizzes, and online Pearson assignments each week). She is an extremely tough grader. She has a horrible attitude and is extremely rude or disrespectful if you need help/do not understand something. She does the most to see her students fail.
Really liked this professor! I took her for both calc and pre calc and got a really good grade thanks to her extra credit on exams, she's really easy to reach out and will make sure u understand the units if u ask
