She is a cool teacher. Talks fast. Shes an easy grader as long as you put some effort into it. Take lots of notes (you hardly use the book). Some movies and projects and midterm...
Very clear easy teacher, puts all notes on overhead to make it easier to study, gives lots of chances to earn good grades. I would recommend her.
this teacher is definitely not helpful or clear. plays favorites with the class and spends half of the semester doing nothing. hard work is not rewarded.
Plays favorites with the dumb people in the class. Not very nice. You don't learn much in class. I would not recommend.
Very young and fun teacher, shes very helpful, gets the class involved, subject is boring but she tries to make it as fun as possible! definate easy A
great teacher. period
This teacher is very nice and helpful but a pretty boring subject. Her tests are really hard and include 10 essay questions, but she is a fair grader and offers extra credit. If you study the material and take good notes you'll definitly pass the class.

She is a great teacher, you do the work and are guranteed a good grade. Take notes and review for tests, and you'll do fine. She helps you out and makes the class fun, makes you laugh.
Very good teacher! I enjoyed her class most out of all my others. She is young so shes very easy to communicate with and creates a VERY relaxed atmosphere! I am looking forward to taking her again!

very understanding, format of class is extremely straight forward,1 exam,1 midterm,1 final,1 5pg paper,1 8pg paper,5 hw's due at end of semester.tries hard to make students do well on exams, very caring of your grade in class.tests arent that hard.papers are straightforward. i love this woman.
this class was fascinating. i always wanted to study human evolution at the college level. this teacher made the class interesting due to her upbeat energy and sincere desire to teach. moorpark is lucky to have her on the staff.
She very helpful, very well prepared i learned a lot from her class i recommand anyone to take her class test are very easy if you read the book and take really good notes so take her class you can learn alot from her!
GREAT TEACHER! made going to class and learning very enjoyable!

I loved Tanya, she was great! She is young, fun, energetic, and very informative. I mish more of the anthro professors were more like her & Kinkella. If she taught another course there I would take it. Her tests can be a little intesnse, but otherwise the course is not to bad & her projects are fun!
She's funny, easy-going and pretty decent looking. Her class was fun, easy, and informative. I never knew her to play favorites or anything of the sort. You did the work, you got the A. I finished the course with 102.7% and never read the book.
She's a lot of fun, teaches well, and gives easy assigments. All of her coursework is straightforward and even fun. She's friendly and helpful, and will even banter with the more outgoing students from time to time. Doesn't play favorites or anything of the sort. Do the work, get the grade, simple.
She is a wonderful, young, and energetic teacher! If you take GOOD notes and read the text you will do fine in the class. She does not play favorites at all and is very willing to help if there is any unclarity.
Well informed professor. man, what a hottie~
best teacher ever
The class is pretty easy, but you also learn a lot too. Plus she's totally hot
very good teacher and more importantly very helpful and makes class fun to go to. she is way hot also and is in great shape.
she was an awesome professor she explained everything clearly and she was very energetic and i mean the best i passed her class with a C make sure you study her tests are pretty hard and the animal research project was GREAT.
she was very caring, nice and helpful. great teacher.her tests were hard. not to mention she's very cute
I hate science and I looked forward to going into her class everytime. She's funny and understanding. She's totally reasonable and will help you, or point you in the right direction if you need it.
this teacher was great. she was very clear in all class lectures, homeworks, and projects. She even makes science sort of fun. she is very helpful. As long as you go to class, and take good notes, you will do good. She even has all the class lecture notes typed up and put on a projector. how easy is that.
She was great! As long as you do the assignments and come to class you will for sure pass. She is very helpful and understanding. I would say make sure you do all the assignments!! Its most of your grade and they really are not the bad. Interesting. Take her!
She is a good teacher and knows a lot about this subject. Group work which is annoying but overall if you study for the tests then its an easy A.
Nice teacher. Enjoys her subject. Clear and easy to follow. Tests are OK, but not really easy. Very little homework until the end of the course.
very nice teacher. likes her subject. got to do hw, project, attend class and study for tests (which aren't too bad). fairly easy A
She's nice and helpful. Half the questions on the test are kind of common knowledge questions while other are really hard. projects due every test, but no hw. Lots of work at the end of the semester. half our points were due on the final day. But if you study for the test you will get an A, if your a slacker you can still get a B.
Great teacher.. tests were really in-depth, 3 homework assignments and 1 project. Don't skip any of the work though, entire class is only worth 100 pts. I loved the class, pay attention and take notes, read the book a little and you'll easily get a B
It's hard to find a sexy anthro teacher, but search no more. As long as you attend class and take notes you will do fine. There is only 3 homework assignments which are easy, as long as you aren't a retard.
easy class if you do the hw and study for the tests.
she was and still is my favorite teacher at Moorpark. She is very nice and helpful. You have to take a lot of notes so you have to go to class and the homework (3 assignments) are easy if you put the effort in it. If you study for the tests, youll be fine. going in to the final, i had like a 97%. if you put in the time and effort, its an easy class
She knows her stuff makes it interesting lectures on stuff she'll test on- Always reviews before exams important to go. If your not good at test taking and writing is your thing it may just save you.
AMAZING TEACHER! She is young so she can relate to her students easily. The way she explains things really engage you in the subject. She offers extra credit assignments which really help. You do have to read the book in order to well on tests but her lecture notes will do just fine. She assigns four 5-7 page essays, but everything else is easier!
Mrs. Rominuik's test are OBNOXIOUSLY DIFFICULT...don't take this teacher unless you are an anthro major because thats when you need to learn as much as she tests you on...
I took her summer class which was difficult because you have a test every week, and luckily the final was not comprehensive. You need to read the textbook, and look over the notes from her class. You can not slack off if you want an A. Her article assignments are easy as well.
Honestly, I rarely rate professors but she was great! Not only does she know her subject very well but, she does everything in her power to find alternate solutions to allowing her students to pass!! She even posted my grade sooner cause she knew I needed to get my transcripts asap!! I love her and shes an awesome teacher!
She is a very sweet person. She is very caring and always willing to wait after class if you have any questions, Take good note and you will do well.
She is an excellent instructor..lectures are clear..makes class enjoyable..if you attend class and take notes you will be fully prepared for the tests...
She is an excellent instructor..lectures are clear..makes class enjoyable..if you attend class and take notes you will be fully prepared for the tests...
She's a very nice teacher, made it clear what was going to be on the test. For me this subject was already kinda boring and I admit I fell asleep quite a bit in class, then again this was summer. Just pay attention to what she says in lecture and her notes and go over the textbook and you should be good.
good teacher take the class!
Very good teacher. She explains things very well and knows the material. Also, she's really nice
Shes a good teacher but just didnt like being in the class cause of the fact. I just got bored she always had good topics that would keep you interested but i just have ADD so that what my main issue was....
i took her class becuz u fools on here put that shes an easy a. definitally not an easy a. i got a b and i studied so hard, like literally study for 3 days straight. shes expects you to remember way too many random facts unlike any other teacher ive had at moorpark. its crazy. interesting class. 1 paper, & 3-4 tests
Took cultural over summer. guy below is a lazy slacker. Attendance is not mandatory. 3 tests including final not cumulative. a project. the class wasn't EEEasy but if u don't get a B u probably should not be in college. Tests are multiple guess for 65 questions three written questions worth 30% and a 5pt question. Project is easy. Shes an 8.
Very helpful and approachable. Lots to learn but she makes it very interesting.
The final project was the BEST part - a report and presentation of your cultural identity allowing fun student presentations, visuals, & even bringing traditional foods 2 share. Makes you learn about your own family history. Learned a lot about many cultures of the world AND my fellow students. So much interaction with everyone. AWESOME!
Great teacher! Read the book, take notes, and study and you should do fine. Extremely interesting class--lectures were long (i took the class over summer) but not boring. She explained everything thoroughly and was very helpful. Take her; she's the best!
This professor is honestly so understanding and helpful. Her class was interesting and she really enjoys what she teaches. She gives really good tips on how to memorize things (that are kind of silly) but they really work! I would highly recommend her as a teacher, she is one of the best I have ever had :)
Really solid teacher. I learned quite a bit and didn't even crack the book. Received an A.
Tanya is very knowledgable, she knows her subject well and tries very hard to make sure everyone understands it as well. Tanya is personable, friendly and cares about her students success.
Tanya Romaniuk is a very knowledgeable teacher. The lectures are half the battle, I suggest you read all the chapters, as her lectures don't cover ALL of the test material. Very passionate and understanding.
Best teacher I had all semester.. she cares about your grade and understands if you have to miss a test or quiz or have to turn in something late..always lets you out early and the tests are easy if you read an hour before. I LOVED her
Really easy class and very lenient on grading. Made me very interested in the subject and was a very sweet lady
She was pregnant during the semester and took 1 month off for maternity leave. She was lenient on grades since she was gone and had a sub. Made class very interesting and fun. She was very fair on grading. Would take again. Wonderful Teacher!!!!!
She gave us quizes everyday and most the class failed. At the end she gave us the biggest curve and most of us managed to pass the class with a B. She is extremely helpful and understanding make sure you go over your notes for her pop quizes they are more frequent than you would think. Also if you study your ass off the tests should be easy.
Fantastic Professor! She is very knowledgeable about the subject. Even though it's a 3hr. class the time flies by! Only 4 exams no homework! If you take notes which she makes extremely easy by using power points and read the book the day of the exam you'll get an A. I spent 2hrs on average reading before any exam that's not much.
Wonderful professor. Sweet, well spoken. Study and read the chapters, you will do fine. Those that did poorly were never in class.
To be honest, I was very nervous to take this class since I find science very difficult to learn, but it actually wasn't that bad. I earned a B! I personally hate monkeys, but professor Romanuik made my experience better. She is very knowledgeable about this topic, she's energetic, and kept me awake from 7:00 p.m. - 9:50 p.m.
Professor Romanuik does a good job in her lectures explaining things, and genuinely cares if her students understand the material. Her tests are deceptively harder than they appear and there is no curve or extra credit, so you just need to do well and study.
She is a delightful professor who is so passionate about her craft. The first test is the only test related to your typical bio material. She has her own website with worksheets for class. Before tests she gives you study guides and power points with direct answers to test questions. Show up and you'll pass. The book was never used.
Assignments on D2L are dumped into folders and not clearly organized or chronologically marked. Key detail is routinely split among several documents not necessarily marked as such. Be prepared to take speed notes because slides are not provided to review lecture. Hyper meticulous on grammar and formatting (it will be so meaningful later, Ha!)
I took the 4 week summer class and it was probably the easiest class. There were only 4 test and 2 extra credit opportunities. She explained everything really well and reviewed before every test.
Very great teacher
a really good teacher. One of the best i have ever had. Really caring and knows the material pretty well. Took over summer class. Got a C but thats cause I had to wake up at 430 am to get to her class on time cause of the stupid bus XD Anyways take her. Shes really cool and if you are failing, she will help you out to atleast make you pass
Took the 4 week summer class because I'm not big on Bio. This is the PERFECT class to take over the summer! Lectures the whole class (with a few vids) and makes sure that people understand. 4 Unit tests, which you can study for with her handouts (v. helpful) & the lecture, but I read the chapters to get an A. She's a real sweetheart, would retake
I had her for anthro lab and she was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and really sweet! She cares about your well being and will help you out! If you are looking for a lab professor I highly suggest her!
Good teacher, insanely boring class.
Tanya is probably my favorite professor I've had so far. She is sweet, energetic, super knowledgeable, and always willing to help. She's able to make a sometimes-stiff subject interesting and her lectures are easy to absorb. I would absolutely take a class of hers again. 10/10 would recommend.
This lab is so much fun, and SUPER easy! All the assignments are done in class, so attendance matters, but it is an easy A and she genuinely loves what she teaches.
Tanya is one of my favorite professors. She deserves a 5.0 overall, really. I've taken both her lab and lecture courses and LOVED them. She is caring, clear, and up front about what is needed and expected. I missed a few classes but as long as you make up the work and communicate with her you will do just fine.
She is amazing! She's very sweet, a bit shy, and super funny once she opens up. I learned a lot, all the work is super easy in-class work, and the tests reflect exactly what she teaches. I also have a chronic illness which makes me miss class a lot, and she is so great about taking late and make up work. If you have to take Anthro Lab take her!
I really enjoyed her class. Clear grading criteria and her tests were based on her lectures and the textbook. I would highly recommend.
Such a great teacher! I highly recommend taking her. She explains everything so clearly and would always help if you had questions. Shes super knowledgeable about the material and you learn a lot. She also always let you leave early once you turned your work in. If youre looking for a great class with a great professor, this is it.
Tanya is the sweetest and most understanding professor you will come across. I know labs you see 3 hours and its scary- but you legit just show up, do the lab which takes less than an hour, and leave. Tests are easy if you study. 4 tests and 1 final (not cumulative). 1 Lab a week. She makes class enjoyable. She's adorable and quirky.
I loved her for lecture and lab. I really enjoyed her lectures even at 8:30 in the morning. I am not a Science person by any means but she really spiked my interest with the class. I only used the textbook to fill information in on a day that I missed.
Cannot say enough good things about Tanya! Seriously the nicest woman ever and explains everything so clearly, wants everyone to do well and makes tests easy. She is super helpful. You never stay in class longer than an hour. You need the book and need to go to lab to pass because test questions are from the labs. 10/10 recommend Tanya!!
Professor Romanuik is a super caring professor, both caring about the subject she teaches but also about the students. She was really interesting and made the lab easy by having our groups get together and do the daily lab together, which was usually something out of the book but still enjoyable.
This teacher is the best. She is very caring cares about her students and wants them to pass. She knows her material well and is very willing to help you. I took her during Covid 19 and she even gave a 2% grace for what was going on. I am not an Anthropology Major but I would take her again in a heartbeat. Take her you will pass study lecture notes
Great professor! She really loves what she teaches and it shows. Her lectures can feel a bit long at times but overall she is worth it. Does not assign a lot of homework, grades fairly and also plays movies in class. She is very sweet and approachable and always wiling to help students. Would take her again!
A lovely teacher. Very kind and cares very much for her students. She always made class interesting and easy to understand. To pass you need to show up as a lot of your grade is based on labs that can't be made up later. The labs were very hands on and helped me learn a lot. Tests are easy, she tells you exactly what to study.
Lab assignments are really easy, only a few pages long Quizzes every couple weeks based off lab information that are also easy Zoom calls that are about an hour or less Really nice to her students
She seems very knowledgeable with the subject, but the class is so boring. Don't take it unless you really care about monkeys. I was kind of expecting more biology, but it's mostly about evolution.
Take this class if you are simply trying to fill in a GE requirement. Weekly discussion posts and little assignments that aren't too difficult. Def a stress free class I would recommend for an easy A. Tests are also multiple choice and SUPER easy.
Professor Romanuik makes this GE class engaging. While the content can be dry at times, her passion and approachable teaching style make it an enjoyable experience. Using unstuck ai and the textbook are great for test prep.
Took the 5-week summer course & liked the recorded lectures and notes. 4 tests, multiple choice, timed (40 Qs in 35 mins = BEYOND STRESSFUL), and available to take on certain days. Assignments had individual due dates T–F, so having a trip already planned (like me) made it stressful. Not sure the textbook was needed. Pretty easy grader overall.
I took a 5-week summer course with Professor Romaniuk. She gave clear and thoughtful feedback, was easy to reach, and always offered help when you struggled with the material. She truly cares about her students' success. As a dual enrollment student, this was one of my first college classes, and I would definitely recommend her course.
She set clear instructions with reasonable deadlines. For a one-credit class, it was a decent amount of work that generally took me 3-4 hours to finish in one sitting. I took the Bio Anthro course concurrently with a different professor over 18 weeks, and this class helped me grasp that material. Accepts late work with 10% penalty per day. No EC.
