Very helpful. Very clear and precise in her lectures. A lot of writing and projects involved in this class. Tests are pretty easy.

great teacher- there is no reason for anyone to do bad in her class- she is very likeable and sweet. She makes you do Journals but they are easy.

She's ok. Kind of unclear at times, and she doesn't allow for any creativity whatsoever. If you go over your time limits during your speeches, you're screwed for an A. Maybe it's because I had her while she was pregnant. All I know is, I felt way too constricted in her public speaking class.

I had her for Interpersonal Comm. There was a little speaking in front of the class, but it was mostly in a seated circle formation. It's not bad though. Easy assignments. Easy "A". Tara is a great teacher who is very passionate about what she does.

Tara is an inspiration to the quiet students who fear public speaking. She is exceptionally patient and caring. I took her accelerated course last semester, which was rather difficult given the time restraints. I earned an A, and by semester end, I was totally into her class. Tara makes coming out of your shell WORTH IT!

Tara is really great! When dealing with a class like interpersonal communications you have to involve the class as much as possible. Tara did this exceptionally well--she made the class a pleasant, safe environment so everyone felt comfortable letting their hair down a bit. She knows her subject well. Not the easiest class but good.

Professor Miller is debatably my favorite teacher at SCC. Reason being, shes very nice, understanding, and her lectures are very interesting. I would definitely repeat this and suggest to take it if your looking for an interesting class that will make you a much better public speaker.

This class is awesome, not just is totally manageable, but its fun and interesting, too. Also, Professor Miller does an excellent job a at getting the class involved, which really adds to the dynamics of the class.

I took her 8 week summer class and it was really easy not as hard as you think it would be. To get an A in the class just practice your speeches most people that get Bs and Cs just read from their note cards. I'm not saying memorize the speech just look like you have rehearsed it. Study for the 2 tests they are pretty easy. She's a really coolteach

I took her for the last 8 weeks of last semester. Not only she is hot, but she is humble. She makes the class feel like family and unites all of us and makes us feel comfortable to talk in front of the class.

Tara is the best teacher I have ever had! I don't understand how people don't like her. Yes, she talks a lot... thats called a lecture!!! She is so funny and very helpful. She always lets the class out early. She doesn't pick favorites, but if you don't come to class a lot or are late all the time, she'll call you out on it. I got an A.

Its easy class, just read the chapters, and attend to class. She makes sure she minus points if you leave class early, and if you miss more than one class.

This teacher is amazing. She took the time to individually help each student. The tests came right from her PowerPoint lectures. She makes it incredibly easy to pay attention. The only crucial thing to this class is preparing for your speeches. Half of the students dropped out by the end of the semester because of it.

She's awesome. I admire and respect her after everything she's been through with her youngest daughter. Regardless of everything, she always showed up to class. She gives real life examples to help understand the subject better. A lot of group activities and sharing in front of the class but it's fun! Strongly recommend her!

DONT READ YOUR SPEECH OFF THE NOTECARDS! She hates it and you won't do well. Just put some key words on the notecard and try to memorize it as much as possible.

Not like a traditional public speaking class. Makes you research topics and cite sources. Have to type outline of speech and turn it in. Attend every class! This class was a lot more work than I thought it would be.

I was nervous about taking this class, but it ended up being a fun and positive experience. the speeches were fun and easy to write. The only complaint I had was her 2 exams. i felt like they were intentionally designed to confuse you. I got a B on both. Other than that she was fun and energetic.

If you don't like public speaking but need to take it for your GE, take her class. She makes public speaking doable. There are a few research speeches, a few mini speeches, and she gives 2-3 pop speeches.

I didn't want to take this class.. But now I wish I has taken more classes with her. She's very fun! This isn't a public speaking class and she makes you feel so comfortable! I was always looking forward to this class!! And I'm a science person not a comm but I truly enjoyed this course. I learned a lot about myself and others. Highly highly recommend!

Take this class. End of story. She is so nice and helpful. Easiest A that I have ever gotten. All you have to do is talk about yourself or about the material. Presentations every week and an easy group project. Very open feeling whenever you walk into class. Pay attention to the lecture and do every weeks mini presentation. Like I said, easy A.

Such an easy A! Little textbook use but no test study guides. Presentations about yourself every week which are fun and easy. Journals are due every week and are pretty much about yourself, except you have to relate your entry to a chapter in the book. She is a sweetheart and you pretty much share your personal life stories the whole class. EASY A!

I am currently taking her 8-week comm100 class right now. She tells you on the first day, There is a lot of work in this class. She is one of the best teachers there! She is very good at being organized and prepared. She is always helpful to students and it is quick to reply to emails. She has two tests, NO TEXTBOOK, and 9 speeches. The speeches are divided into 3 major, 3 minor, and 3 mini. Major are the only important ones.

Just take her. I was honestly going to write a whole thing about how amazing she and this class is but it seems like everyone else already did.

This class is a complete waste of time. The teacher is very nice and funny but even then the subject is just dull and useless. There is alot of writing involved and projects. This class is very time consuming.

overall, Tara is a very nice, funny, and hardworking professor, but I didn't find the class interesting at all, We rarely used the textbook, we had two tests in class that I found really in the middle of easy and hard. Every week we had to summit a journal entry through blackboard talking about are personal life. if you enjoy this class go for it.

Professor Tara is fantastic. Her public speaking class was fun and easy, and I would take it again if I could get credits for it! No textbook needed, two tests, and then 4 or 5 speeches. She keeps her students interested and helps if you have any problems. She has tons of office hours where she will help with speeches and give feedback.

Great class & great professor. Book and participation is manadtory but if you can do those things, the class is very easy and pretty fun. There's only one test at the end of the semester which is not as difficult as expected and everything else is a paper or presentation. The class is great and you gain the ability to apply what you learn in rl.

I took this class originally just to get my general ed stuff out of the way but Tara honestly makes this class a 'find yourself' experience in a really fun way. It isn't hard at all to become interested in discussions and WANT to participate. She is really an amazing person and I would HIGHLY recommend her

Great professor! Definitely recommend to take her online course if you are shy. People tend to gain a lot of confidence and open up more when they have a certain amount of "anonimity". This class will help you realize things you've never paid attention to or thought of a solution for. Overall, I believe my way of thinking changed after her class.

I highly recommend taking her Hybrid Public Speaking class. If you're not a fan of public speaking, you can still excel in this course. It requires you to post videos online and meet three times in class for speeches, but as long as you follow the assignments and grading criteria- you'll pass with an A. She's also a fantastic teacher!

Tara is absolutely amazing. Im in her gender communications class and the fact that our class is so open, understanding, and compassionate is only a product of her kindness. I've never had a more moving and motivational professor. Definitely if you see this class as an option take it, regardless of your major.

She offers one of the best classes to take. It is quite enjoyable and easy to get an A online. However in the weekly forum topics, the replies are very cliquey, and can turn into a popularity contest. The final was about a movie, I remember the Crop duster lol.

Super easy class. Do the work and you will pass. Exams are super easy and sometimes just common sense. If you do the discussions it makes the exams easier. Her grading is a bit irritating she takes off a couple of points for no reason at all. Her comments are sometimes "dumb." But it's an easy A.

Took her online Comm 100 class over the summer and honestly was easy even in the 8-week span. Her modules and instructions were very straightforward, the only thing that was mildly annoying was having to do group projects in an online class but there was only one. Do the work and you'll pass the class.

Such an amazing teacher. Took her online communications and shes an easy grader but she assigned a lot of homework compared to other online courses. A long discussion and 5 question quiz every week and a 100 questions final. If you do everything its an easy A.

I was really anxious to take a public speaking class but prof. Kubicka-Miller did a great job being very understanding. You have a doubt about who to take this class, take it with this professor.

Prof. Kubicka-Miller is extremely knowledgeable and cares about her students. Attendance is mandatory as well as participation (it is honors). The textbook is used ALL THE TIME. It is 100% required. 5 question chapter quizzes every week and 4 big projects worth a lot of points. You get out of the class what you put in. An A can be achieved
