Class was so fun to learn! The teacher made it so easy to grasp the concept and understand the lecture. She is pretty lenient when it comes to making up work as long as you're a good student. Class is easy to pass if you show up!
She is a very good teacher! She helps you out when you struggle and wants you to succeed. Makes things every clear and gives a lot of material to make sure you understand it. Lab is very interactive and you learn a lot! I wish she taught 1572!
Professor Leszczewicz is an excellent teacher. She is clear, concise and eager to help you learn. Her main goal is for the student to understand the concepts fully and if you have trouble she is more than happy to explain the topics further. I would highly recommend her for this rigorous class.
I would look for a better teacher who is more helpful if you are taking A&P
She is an excellent instructor. Provided lots of hand outs and information and really tried as much as possible to cater to the needs/learning style of the class. She was also very clear about office hours, tutoring, and open labs, and was also very easy to reach via email. I felt very prepared for 1572.
If you want to teach yourself then she is the teacher for you, Tests are hard. She does not prepare you , lose points for spelling not only are you not taught the material properly, you are required to spell all of it correctly!
Everything you need to know for tests are given in the notes. Yes tests are hard, but the class is hard. She really works hard to help students who put forth the effort, obviously the person below me did not. I've been at COD for a long time and believe me this is one of COD's best instructors.
Her class really isn't that difficult, but you do need to keep up with the material. You'll have a lot of exams in the course, but it's manageable as long as you're not taking a lot of classes. I thought her class was really interesting and she's an extremely helpful teacher. Plus, she's always there you to help you outside of class!
Very good and helpful teacher. This class is tough and you have to keep up with the material. Took notes almost every lecture and lab, and the exams/quizzes are based off these notes and she'll give outlines of what to expect on each one. Study often/early and take advantage of open labs/ tutoring if needed.
Really unfortunate. Wasted 16 weeks in this class being overloaded with useless information only to self teach.Ridiculously hard, professor is not helpful although she repeats over and over again "that she's here to help"ask her straightforward questions for help-prepare yourself for her answer "you should see a counselor to explore your options"
The easiest part of this class is showing up and I never missed a day because there is a lot of information to cover. The tests are only on what is in the handouts, but really understanding the material and not just memorizing it is important. Quizzes are simple and the labs are really fun. Professor L is a great teacher and very helpful.
If you have a hard time getting to class on time, you better find another professor. She marks you absent even if you area minute late. If I had to take this class again, I would not choose her.
Dr. Leszczewicz is a great professor. Anatomy can be a hard class if its not something your studying for your career, but I found the course structure more than fair. Whatever grade you want, you can easily earn. She provides tons of options for supplemental learningtutoring outside of class. Lecture notes are provided for EVERY lecture.
Best professor I've had in a long time. She is very helpful and makes herself available as much as she can. She's really big on giving tutoring options which is an incredible thing because she GIVES you all the resources, all you have to do is show up. It's a tough class but you have to put in the effort.
Absolutely the best professor I have had at COD. She is clear on exactly what she expects from you. If you go to class and study from her lecture notes, you should have no problem passing.
Professor L. was good with reminding students that she was there for help when it was needed. But she is very intimidating and expects everyone to have an understanding of everything by the next lecture. Sorry but it's not simple to memorize over 50 bones within a 24 hour span, that's not how life works. Would recommend taking someone else.
Dr. L is a good professor. She has to teach a very difficult class and does a good job at it. I will say that she's the strictest grader I've met, and she's not afraid to give feedback. You must work hard to pass her class, because she is no joke. She's teaching future health care professionals & so it's understandable why she teaches that way.
Theres better A and P teachers at COD. She took off points if you spelled a word wrong even if it was one letter and its not easy memorizing where all the things in ur body are in the first place much less there proper spelling. And idk if she changed it in the last year but her labs were disorganized and i don't remember gaining much from them.
Professor Leszczewicz is an awesome teacher. The tests were easy and simple. NOTE OUTLINES. I barely studied for this class, and I have a B+. Some other people in this class do have a harder time though, and she expects the good students to help the bad students, which was, at some points, pretty frustrating. I would recommend her!
Let's face it: A&P is a challenging course. Dr. Leszczewicz's lectures are a good summary of the textbook material. If your future is in the health sciences, this class will prepare you for what's in store. She is very clear and concise with the information and with her expectations from students. BUT you have to make the effort and study!!!
Loved this Teacher. Please take her. Do her homework and be and be on time. You'll get the A. She works well with you.
Dr. L is a great teacher and knows her stuff. She is a tough grader but she tells you what she expects. This is not an easy class so don't expect to get an A if you don't study at least 10 hours a week for it.
A & P is not an easy course and there is a ton of material to cover, but Mrs. Leszczewicz is very detailed in her lectures & makes sure that everyone understands. She is pretty easy going and truly cares about her students. There's homework every week, but I like that b/c it forces you to study the material. I would definitely recommend taking her!
She is a extremely tough grader, says that she is willing to help anyone who needs it, but if you are struggling she will tell you to pick a different profession. She does know her material very well but never tests what she says she will test on.
she is an amazing teacher! she is a tough grader, but she is fair. she wants you to succeed! she gives you so many resources for you to go to for help so that you can pass her class with an A. if you fail or get a bad grade it is because of your lack of effort. cumulative final, about 1 quiz a wk, online assignments each wk, tests every 2-3 wks.
This class is tough, but if you like what you are majoring in, then you'll enjoy this class. Dr. L is very professional and a very good professor. She motivates her students to succeed and get an A. Sometimes she says things that are not so nice, but at the end it's the truth for success. I did miss her in A&P 2. Do not slack in her class!!
Prof. Leszczewicz is an awesome teacher. I had taken an ANAT class before hers at COD & I think she is the best!!!! If you ever don't understand something or have any questions she's more than happy to help. She also is a teacher that wants you to be successful & gives you the tools & guides to do so. Stay organized, read your syllabus, & study!!
She gives a lot of homework and is a tough grader on lab assignments but she tells you exactly what you need to do to get the full points the homework is very helpful to understanding and it's not a waste of time
All tests are from lecture, so try not to miss class. She is a stickler for following directions, so follow them explicitly. She also hands out a lot of homework. There are also many quizzes & tests. There are numerous due dates, so keep track of the schedule carefully. Use a day planner or your phone's calendar; very easy to lose points.
One of the best teachers I've ever had. So caring, always willing to help go over things with you. Really teaches you the material and how to be the best possible student via mastery of the subject. Love her!
In Dr. L's class you have to work hard to get a good grade, but she gives you all the tools to succeed, you just have to use them. Disappointed she is not teaching Anatomy 2, because I would take her again. Take her, I do not think you will be disappointed if you are willing to give effort.
Dr. Leszczewicz is the best Professor I have ever had. I would email her pictures of my homework on the weekends to make sure it was correct and she always emailed me back. She would open lab an hour early before class if I asked and she would keep open lab open an hour later if needed. Gives you all the tools needed to succeed. I recommend her!!!
Professor Leszszewicz helped me a lot through the semester. Anatomy is a challenging class ! professor may be a though grader but it makes you learn from your mistakes! I appreciate her being challenging because your career will get harder than an anatomy class! Thank you professor !
Dr. Leszczewicz was the best anatomy teacher I have ever had. I've taken anatomy in high school and didn't understand it fully, but Dr. L did an amazing job of explaining material. I highly recommend her, but it is your responsibility to go to GSG and to ask for help. Do all of your homework, pay attention in class and lab, and you'll pass.
Professor Tara Leszczewicz is a phenomenal educator. She is very fair , and also very accessible to students before and after class. I was motivated and I loved attending her lecture and labs. She keeps class interesting , and is very interactive during class. Show up , work hard , study hard , participate and you will succeed.
Dr. Leszczewicz is a great teacher she gives you all the tools to succeed. She very accessible and has a true passion for letting her students succeed, it really helps you keep motivated. She's not a push over teacher you have to put forth effort the grade you receive is what you deserve in the class. As long as you do what expected you'll do fine
PROFESSOR TARA is an amazing profesor. She is passionate about What she does and Teaches very well !! The best teacher by far !! I ENJOY HAVING HER AS A PROFESSOR. Her test are EASY and STRAIGHT to the point. She wants you to understand the material. She lectures through powerpoint and explains everything INCREDIBLY clearly !! EASY A
Tough class. More then half the class dropped. Be ready for have lecture and long nights studying.
Prof L is absolutely the best prof I've ever had at COD. A&P isn't supposed to be an easy class because its a lot of material to memorize. But she offers extra resources, like openlab, GSG(study groups,2-3x a week), and has decent office hours. Have online assignments which I think is very helpful especially for the lab exams.
Continued from last post: I recommend that you take advantage of those GSG groups. I went and it helped. Open labs are always a good idea to attend to study for lab exams. She is also very straightforward in terms of your grades, but she does try to encourage you. I recommend her!
Another addition to my last 2 posts: This class requires a lot of your time, the effort you put into it shows up in your grades. The lecture exams are easy, 100 questions may seem overwhelming but its info straight out of lecture packets. Put in the effort and you will succeed.
Dr. L is one of my favorite Professors. As others have said, A&P is tough class. But, if you are actually looking to learn the material and not just receive an easy grade AND are passionate about your future in health care/science, take her. No regrets here!
You have to go to lecture to understand the lecture because she does guided notes. As long as you complete the homework assignment and study over your material it is easy to receive a good grade. She cares a lot about her students and is willing to help.
Dr. L must be the best professor for A&P1. She offers many resources to help you succeed, like GSG, open lab, office hours. She cares a lot about her students and will help in any way she can. She sticks to the syllabus and there's no pop quizzes. If you miss class, you'll spend some time playing catch up to make sure you understand the material.
Tara was the best college professor I've ever had. She really cares about her students and does everything she can to help you succeed. She has tons of office hours and encourages students to come in with any questions or confusion. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. All her tests are straight from the notes packets, so make quizlets and youll do great.
Highly reco as AP1 guide & college mentor. Genuine concern for student success. Participation/curiosity encouraged in insightful lecture/lab, aided by handouts/GSG/tech. Generous office hrs. Extra credit involves own growth. Happily helps ID barriers to success. Invest effort to A&P1 that she invests in you via study & library. Earn it & enjoy it!
Dr. L is the best professor I have ever had, she gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, lots of homework that helps your grade in the long run, she is really straightforward about lab exams. Gives you handouts for each chapter that really help a lot, as long as you put the effort you will pass.
Anatomy&Physiology is not a course that you can just get by without actually putting in lots of time. DR L is a great teacher, made the information easier to grasp with lots of visualizes/power-points . She is definitely going to challenge you in her class but once you get through it you will be so thankful she did.
Really cares about students and is ALWAYS willing to help if you need it. She gives lecture notes that are basically the exam, which is very helpful. If you put time and effort into this class you will get a good grade. She made this class super enjoyable and it's not even halfway over yet! She definitely makes you think and learn the material.
Dr. L is an amazing teacher. She has an answer for every question. I am currently struggling in her class because i do not do anything lol. Kids study and get A's on everything. She is there for you and if you work hard an A is attainable. I wish I tried harder because god knows she gives her soul for her class.
Dr L is not only a teacher, she's a mentor. AP is not an easy class, but if you do the work and really take advantage of GSG, her generous office hours, you will pass the class no problem. I am so glad I took this class with her. She is extremely clear, and also does guided notes. Homework heavy but its for your own success. She's one of a kind!
She is a good teacher and you will learn from her class, BUT, I wouldn't wish her class on my worst enemy. So. Many. Notes. And you're only tested on like 25% of what she makes you study. It isn't worth the work she makes you put into it. Take an easier professor for your own sanity, please.
TAKE HER!! A+P is going to be a lot of work regardless but she truly cares about each and every one of her students and gives you all the material to succeed. Very approachable and is very clear on what she will test you on. When she says do something, do it, she's telling you so that you will do better. Also, do GSG!! Wish she did A+P 2.
She makes A & P really easy to understand, and yes, it's a lot of work to be in her class; however all that work really pays off in the end. Her lecture exams are based off her notes, so make sure to take good notes and study it well. I did GSG only at the beginning, but if you're pretty smart and on top of things, you don't have to go to it daily.
Tip to those who plan to take her class. Look at the schedule she gives you. I messed up on my first exam, since I thought it was only the first three chapters, but it was the first four chapters. Also, if you need advice on how to study for the first exam, look at her lectures notes, read them, and use them as a guide when reading the textbook.
She really really cares about her students. It isn't an easy class but she will do all that she can to help you succeed. You can tell it is her passion and all she wants is for her students to understand the material. The homework is easy points but lecture and labs exams are what really make up your grade. You get out what you put in. Take her!
Not a good class to take online, tests are timed and not enough time is given. All my homework was submitted on time but I still ended up with an F due to the tests.
Prof L has been by far the best professor I've had at COD. She truly cares about her students and wants to make sure everyone succeeds. She goes above and beyond to make sure we have all the learning materials we need. She is accessible outside of class. She has quirky ways of helping us memorize things. All in all just a great teacher.
I would never recommend this teacher for online classes. If you missed something because of internet issues you get a zero. Doesnt make sense to me for an all online class.... Everything for the unit was thrown out at once and you were on your own from there. The only thing i appreciated was the guided notes.
This women didnt put in grades for the first 8 weeks of the semester. Thats half of the semester! I heard great things as an in-person teacher but online she was a total flop. I basically taught my the entire course.
I would never recommend this teacher to anyone. It takes weeks for her to put in grades and it is very irritating. I was disappointed because she had good reviews but she did not live up to those. Maybe she's good in person but online she was terrible.
This is a hard class, but with the resources she gives, you will do great in the course. She always answered my emails quickly, there were no surprise homework assignments like my other classes. The tests were kinda hard, but if you watch all the lectures, fill out the note packets, and study you will do great! She was so nice and helpful!
I took this class as one of my first classes for the first semester of college at COD and she was one of the most helpful professors that I have had compared to my other classes. This class is hard content-wise but with the help of Mrs. L, it was easier to manage and stay on track and do well with the class.
Surprised to see how many bad reviews Dr. L has gotten, she is an amazing teacher but do not think you're going to be able to cheat your way through this class. She is super helpful and the tutoring is AMAZING. If you try, you'll pass, I feel like the students who left a bad review did not put the time and effort in that it takes to pass anatomy.
I would never recommend this professor to anyone! She is horrible and doesn't teach you anything. Every time I would ask for guidance to improve my studying skills she would always blame me for not studying enough (30 hours a week) but nobody can study that long for one class especially with work and everything!! Horrible professor and very rude
Honestly, one of my favorite professors, I was struggling a little bit in this class and she gave me some feedback and I did much better on the test after. she is a genuine professor who cares about her students and their grades. She also does not give a lot of work.
I highly recommend this professor. I have learned a lot from her class and she really cares about her students and their success in and out of class. If you put in the work and effort you will do great in her class.
Doctor L is a phenomenal professor. Her courses are hard due to the material but she displays them in a very clear matter that are easy for student to tackle. She is beyond helpful and caring of her students. If you need anything, she answers almost right away and wants her students to succeed. I would take her for any course if I could!
Dr. L is an amazing teacher! Great communication. This course is tough, and there is a ton of material to cover, but she makes it as comprehensive as possible. She cares about her students and is there to encourage throughout the course. I wish all instructors followed her lead. Loved this course!
Take Her! Dr. L is awesome, she really cares about her students. GSG is optional but the best advice I can give is don't miss a single session! They lay out what you'll be tested on. Very lecture and test heavy. The book is expensive but you use it for A&P 1 & 2. DON'T PROCRASTINATE or it will bite you! Start studying the day content is released.
Dr. L is an AMAZING professor. She sets you up for success from day 1 and is rooting for you the entire way. She is organized, professional and extremely knowledgeable. She makes herself available for anything you might need. YOU MUST TAKE HER CLASS! The fundamentals she taught me in Anatomy I have stuck with me in my college journey.
I was nervous about this course, I knew nothing about A&P before starting, Dr. L helped to build confidence with good feedback and is there any time you are feeling lost. There are no surprises, she checks to make sure you get enough sleep before the exam, sends reminders, and always keeps you in the loop w/ everything, take Dr. L she's a gem!
One of the best professors I have had. She is dedicated to her teaching and really wants her student's to learn and ace their classes She is always available for extra help. She is very fair in her grading. She expects her students to put an effort which is the least a professor could ask. Yes, I would take her class in a heart beat.
One of the best professors at College of DuPage! Professor Leszczewicz is a very straight to the point educator, she understands the ups and downs of a student's "journey." Her exams are tough, but if you read the material provided you will have no issues passing her class. Show up ready to learn and be engaging.
Dr. L was a fantastic professor for Anatomy & Physiology I, especially considering I took her course fully online. She communicates all of the lectures very well and tells you exactly what you need to know for exams. She really cares about whether or not you are learning the content and will work with you 1:1 if you're struggling.
If you have a lot of time on your hands then take her class. I work and take online courses out of state, no clear indication on exams and tests being taken in person at COD for an online course? A small snippet is written on her syllabus that she uses as a way to communicate with students instead of simple clear communication. Waste of time.
Dr. L is an amazing professor. I love her passion for the students. Her class was challenging but greatly worthy. It's very clear and deep, and they brought me personal and academic growth. The tutoring sessions were truly helpful. She often said, "I'm a broken record" Right! She kept talking to us about how to study well. I strongly recommend her!
There is so much information provided that it will become overwhelming. There's no clear indication on exams. Be prepare to know your answer 100% before moving to the next question since you will not be able to go back. If you have a job, quit, you will not be able to work or have a life while taking her class. Her exams are tough!
She is one of the worst professors I have ever taken. She does not understand students and she does not reply to emails. She thinks shes always right. I would rather be lost in a jungle than to take her class. Dont Take her YOU WILL REGRET
Loved Dr L's class. She is a great communicator, responsive and really wants her students to succeed. She provides clear expectations for exams and goes out of her way to make herself accessible to go over any questions you may have. A&P itself has a ton of content but she has it organized in a way that makes it easy to learn and study from.
ANAT1551 covers a vast amount of material, but Dr. Leszczewicz provides wonderful lectures and guided notes that really help you get a solid grasp of everything. The course is structured in a way that allows you to build a solid foundation of knowledge that is built upon through each unit.
I took this online with Dr. L and I would have to say she is one of my favorite professors. She cares and she shows it. She does not force anything, but it helps to go to study groups and skim/read. She was transparent wi
Anatomy is a tough class no matter the professor you choose. Dr. L truly prepares you for the complexity of this course through her detailed lecture outlines and videos. Dr. L was always willing to discuss concepts further and help you understand what you missed on an exam. I am truly grateful for her help!
A&P is hard subject but she makes it simple and easy. Gives you study guide for lecture and lab; and whatever is on their study because that's your key to pass. She offers amazing tutors (GSG), This class is very time consuming the more you study the better grade you get.
I chose Dr. L based on the rating in this page, and I would say Dr. L is really one of the best professor I ever met. I took 5-weeks summer class so the workload is large, but Dr. L is very helpful. She really cares if her students understand the concept well and makes a lot of effort to help. Highly recommended if you really want to learn A&P.
I chose Dr. L because of the rating in this page, and I would say Dr. L is really one of the best professors I ever met. I took 5-week summer class so the schedule is tight and the content is huge, but Dr L really makes her best to help. She really cares if her students understand the concept well enough. TAs are very helpful too. High recommended!
This was my first college class and she was not very beginner friendly. Her blackboard is extremely confusing and hard to navigate and her lectures drag and don't make sense. She's a nice person but felt a bit manipulative. She did not match my learning style.
Extremely caring, I went through a tough semester and my goal was to pass and she helped me do that. The class itself is challenging, let alone if you have a job or other classes. You will be studying profusely but you will know the content and you will be prepared. Overall this is no students “favorite” class but it is the right one to take.
Dr. Leszczewicz is an amazing professor! She super understanding professor. I emailed her at the beginning of the year about my goals to earn an A in this course and she gave me helpful tips for it. Her coursework is very clear and she is so willing to meet with you and help you out with anything you may not be understanding. Best A&P 1 class!
When it comes to lecture presentation, Professor Leszczewicz is clear and informative about the material she presents. What also helps is her clarity on topics and themes that are important to keep in mind and the supplementary material she makes available to help learn the information. As much material as there is, reach out to her if you can.
The online course is lecture heavy and grades are dependent on the exams, but with the amount of material present, Professor Leszczewicz has a lot of helpful bonus material that is worth looking into. Her lecturing style is clear about topics and themes that are important to study not just for the exams but for understanding overall. Awesome!
Too much homework that didn't impact grades, even with full points. The instructor was a tough grader with no extra credit, and the proctored exams were very different from the lectures, except for lab exams. Each chapter had a 100-point lecture and a 50-point lab exam. I retook it with other teacher and passed. Be sure to avoid her class.
Professor Tara was amazing in my opinion. A&P is generally a tough class but she gives you all the resources to pass, just get organized and use the resources she gives. It won't be a walk in the park but it is doable
Dr. L is amazing—both as a teacher and a person. She's passionate, knowledgeable, and explains concepts clearly, always making sure we understood. She extends her flexibility and compassion to make learning less stressful, and her exams are fair if you study. She wants us to succeed and gives us exactly what we need to do well.
Registered for 1st 5 week session. Already took A&P but had to retake to apply for nursing program since its been over 5 yrs. 2 days into a 5 week course and there is still no syllabus, due dates, or expectations. Lectures are very long, she goes off topic often. Lots of grammatical errors in posts. Dropped class since I was being set up to fail.
I cannot believe my experience with this professor I had to withdrawal! Disorganized, lots of assignments, I could not work! I lost so much confidence taking her class, such an interesting subject but was poorly executed by this professor. I took a different professor and I got an A!! Trust me I plead you to do your research! I wish I had!
Dr. Leszczewicz is an amazing teacher. She really cares about students and makes herself available if students need to reach her. She communicates very well and is very thoughtful. The expectations for the class are very clear in the syllabus. ANAT 1551 is a tough class but if you follow Dr. L's instructions and don't fall behind you'll do great.
Dr. Lesz is an outstanding professor and a true supporter of her students' success. I took the five-week A&P 1551 course, which is quite challenging. However, she provides all the necessary resources to help students succeed. The class demands strong time management skills, but she is always available to assist those who need help.
Was very clear she loves what she's teaching and prioritizes the well-being for her students. Material aligned almost perfectly with the exams. I took this class in 5 weeks so i expected it to be hard, but i have no doubt that it was because of Dr L that I had a great experience. I 100% recommend her!!!
Dr. L is a great professor. As long as you put in the required time and effort and care about your grades, you will be set up for success. She is very responsive to emails and communication; you can tell she cares about her students.
She's not horrible but she can be disorganized going back and forward to explain topics. Her classes are boring and she reads slides. I had to watch YouTube to understand the lectures in a dynamic way. At least everything she "explains'' is on her tests. I did not learn much from her but by myself.
