This prof. is used to teaching small classes; thus for large classes of 500 people, difficult for him to interact with students. His exams are more math based than Prof. Griffin's tests and covers more material. Office hrs/email: helpful; Has Heavy accent
The first midterm was really easy, the final wasn't so easy. Almost all of the problems on the midterm and final are math based; You have to go to class to see how he does the problems or you will most likely be clueless about them at the midterm/final

Heavy Accent, but funny and helpful
He's a very condescending person with no regard to students. When asked questions, he treats one in a very intimidating manner. He gives off a bad presence. His minimal comic attempts to better a class don't make up for his mediocre facilitating skills.
Midterm was so easy but final was extremely difficult. I don't think many students did well in the final. Majority of the students in ECON 003 earn a D.
His english isnt very clear, but he's funny sometimes...
he has a very strong accent, and it makes it hard for the students to understand him. he is also very intimidating when he teaches, and his final was extremely hard. try avoiding him any way you can!

WATCH OUT FOR THIS ONE. Strong accent. Unclear lecture, a lot of details about economics he assumes you already know. COnvoluted, confusing, complicated. However, he is a great guy and willing to help. Difficult exams.

This professor has good intentions, but he has an extremely heavy accent which is very hard to understand unless you really try hard. He seems likes a nice enough guy, but not a very good teacher.

He's a nice guy, dont' ****him off and he'll be very nice. He tries to help but still becuase of his accent it's still kinda hard which took points away from the help bar. Other than that, it's fine. For Bandi, just make sure you have a good TA.

Had him for econ 102a and econ 3. Easiest professor there is. When he holds a review session, the questions he goes over are the same ones that will be on the exam. Accent is heavy, but better then most.

hard, very hard. if you can take any econ with a different professor. bandi, will not fail you and it is not worth going to lecture just discussion. tests are like the homework.
I've had Bandi many times since I am an Econ major. All these people complaining about him probably should to go a junior college. I find him to be a great teacher, and if you go to every lecture and review section you can easily get an A.
He's just got a heavy accent. But he knows his stuff and the review session is very helpful. If you're having a hard time understanding him, go to the TAs, they're good too.
I rarely went to class and even when I did... I didn't understnad what he was saying. I have no clue how I passed the class.
you cant go to the TA because the TA has an accent also, how can you understand the prof or the TA when they all have huge accents that are not understandable?
I think Bandi is easy, even though he has strong aceent he helps you a lot. So whatever these people have said needs to go to community college.

Heavy accent, but for an easy 'A' who can complain. The hardest thing he may teach you is that y = mx + b and the derivation of x^2 = 2x. So if you're thinking about this class and if you're not retarded, then I recommend course.
The first thing that you are going to learn is to pronounce his name. Other than that you will learn to pay attention to his stories. During the entire course I was confused. My advice is to go to see your teaching assistants.
Dude I had this prof. a couple years ago. He is hellya easy compare to the others. He tells you whats going to be on the exam. But I must admit if you looking to learn might not be the best prof.

This guy was my favorite professor at UCR. Once you get past the accent he is very funny, and interesting. It may seem like he gets mad in class but he isn't, he really just wants to make sure you understand. He is why I stayed with econ.
Do go to TA sections it's your best shot at getting a decent grade in this course. there's no point of going to lectures. however, the review sessions for midterm and final are EXTREMELY important. Write down whatever you can understand from the sessions.
Hard to understand, but a good guy. He really seems to care and takes the welfare of his students quite personally. Broke down in tears once several years ago because he was concerned about our poor performance.

This class is actually quite easy. Although his accent is thick, its mostly common sense. Its a more in depth review of high school econ. Read the book and you should be fine. The midterm was a piece of cake. And if you don't understand then go to office hours! Damn
i dont even bother going to class becuase i cant understand a word he says...despite my absence...i was still able to ace my midterm...so i think the class isn't too bad...dont count on the TA's to help either...most of them have accents too...
wow, seems like everyone hates this guy. Bad accent but intelligent guy. I like the way people get humiliated in his class, he's the only professor that has the guts to do something about people that just won't shut up in class.
Many faculty members are difficult to understand, but this professor must speak in tongues because I had no clue what he was saying. Try to avoid him. The class is not so hard is you are willing to study straight from the book. If you speak in tongues also, you might enjoy his lecture as well.

He is a great professor and he actually does care whether his students learn or not, that's why he is so passionate. Be open and look pass his accent, once you done that, you'll learn a lot. As long as you understand him, everything will come easy. If not, then you are just lazy!
I hate his class! It's the worst class I ever took! The lectures are so boring; all you want to do is just sleep in the class. The professor has a really bad accent and it's very hard to understand him and he makes things more complicated than they really are.
Hard to understand at times. Got most of my help from a very helpful TA, Monica Das *hint*. personally believe that he's a good guy despite his bad accent and hard final.

Very difficult to understand(really thick accent), but he writes everthing down. The notes from class are VERY important. The midterm and the final mirror it and the hw almost exactly. You just need to know basic terminology. =)

Accent is not as bad as everyone says. If you're someone used to never hearing a foreign accent than you will not be able to hear him as well other than that he speaks very loud and clearly. His midterms are easy and his examples are clear. Final is a bit tough.
Professor B is a great guy to talk to. He's hard to understand but he makes the class interesting and always hilarious. Not like other Econ professors who are a bore. Turn in every HW assignment, show up to discussion, and study for the midterm and final: and guaranteed B. The TA's are great

I aced his midterm, because it was graded by the TA's and not by him. I failed the final, because it was graded by him. What I'm trying to say here, is that he is a horrible grader who will mark you down for not using calculus to solve a simple equation that can be done algebraically.

This teacher is HORRIBLE. All I can say is DO NOT SIT IN THE FRONT ROWS. He spits like crazy, so unless you want a shower, avoid sitting up front. He's pretty spastic, and yells and moves a bit. He also likes to pick on students. So be prepared for that. He gives an easy midterm, but very hard final

40% midterm, 50% Final, 10% HW. HW is due every week but as long as you turn it in time, you'll get the credit. It could be easy if you can understand his thick accent. If you can't it's going to be difficult course. That's why people are saying either he's very easy or very difficult. I got a B.

I HATE THIS GUY!!! I can't understand what he's saying, he calls you stupid if you don't follow his material, and he insults people on the spot in front of the entire class. I had him twice - 102a & 002. He uses the same examples for both classes, so it felt like i was watching a 10 week rerun.

Yes, he does have a thick accent, but the problems he does in lecture are bascially the ones on the midterm and final. If you go to lecture, pay attention, take notes, and read the book for sections you're uclear about, you will be fine. He also holds a review session for the midterm.
syllabus is not clear regarding materialon the final. when students ask him if the final is going to be cumulative, all he says is read the syllabus. the syllabus does not say whether the final will be cumulative.
okay...people you're not supposed to rate according to your letter grade, give a description of the teacher..of course if you read, study, do homework, and everything else, you should fail...for that much work you better pass! hard teacher otherwise, picks on students, and unclear at many times.
This professor was the worst professor that I have encountered. First, you can't understand the words that are coming out of his mouth. He has a very bad accent, so basically during the whole class you are wonderng what he is saying. All of his notes are very very unclear and he likes to criticize ppl that dont have good math skills = calculus.

Does have an accent, but not so hard to get used to after a while. Most help comes from the teaching assistants because class is so large. He likes to yell which is not fun. Biggest problem with midterm was time constraint, too many problems for such a limited time.
Bandyopadhyay is actually a pretty good easy professor. His midterm and final are the exact problems he goes over during his review sessions. The hw due each week is just additional help and his TAs are also really helpful & good. If you attend his review sessions, you're guaranteed to do well in the class without reading the book. he yells though.
Don't judge him upon his accent, you'll get use to it. Love his drive, he really wants you to learn, he's passionate about econ, therefore he yells. To get an A in the class, you need to do all the hw math problems and understand them, they will be on the midterm and final. To score high on the multiple choice and T/F, go to review session.
He is hard, but very helpful. Long as you show him that u care, he will care as well. But he does point fingers in class, so if u don't know something he'll probably make you come in front of the class and stand there till you explain it to him. so make sure u know your stuff. But i'm not trying scare you. you should get to know your TA as well.

I miss a couple of words he says from time to time. How can he teach if you can't understand him? Ok teacher. Jokes are NOT funny- very lame. If it wasn't for this white grl in front laughing, there would be total silence. Take Guo instead- better lecturer and better jokes. Needs to stop picking on students- sit in back so he wont pick on you.
His class is pretty easy because he goes over literally EVERYTHING during his review sessions. It's just up to you to memorize it all. As for being a professor, he's horrible. He's degrading, demeaning, and just plain mean. He embarasses you in front of the class if you don't know something.

He is the worst Economics professor on campus! Besides berating students who do not understand advanced microeconomics, he lacks basic teaching skills. His accent is so strong. I would rather the class be taught in English. His handwriting and graphs on the chalkboard are messy at best. If you get a good T.A., you can get an A.
I wasted $110 on a textbook that he never used, and he used calculus to teach the class when the prerequisite was only algebra. Also chewed out the class one day because he got a poor quarterly evaluation from the students.
Hope to God you have a good TA. You can't understand a word he says. He tends to assume that everyone in his class has a background in Calculus and he berates you for asking questions.
Easy Professor if you can get pass the accent, but he repeat everything like 50 times. Make sure you go to the review sessions and take good notes, what ever he tells you will be on the midterm.

A truly terrible teacher. You can get an A, although his tendency to berate students with questions is insane. Avoid the teacher if you arereally interested in Economics. Take the course if you have thick skin and are willing to do some work for an A.
This class is super easy!! Just take good notes, goto lecture & discussion bc his exams are completely based on them! it is so easy to get an A, just learn to listen past the accent and try to sit close enough to read the board but not so close that he picks on you. all in all...he is an excellent professor with tons of enthusiasm! ta off. hours ++

This guy is hilarious, talks loud and tries hard to motivate students with the material. Uses real-life situations as example to explain his lectures. Quite entertaining, just dont piss him off by showing up late or sitting in the very back, he will make u move closer to the front!

one of the best econ professor at UCR. yeah his accent is hard to understand but after 2 weeks you wont even notice it. he is very helpful. his practice exams are pretty much like his real ones.
Jesus....Don't take him. His accent is frustrating. It prevents me from understanding him. Second, the material is hard but he made even harder by his method of teaching. Ecob 102b is advanced econ so you need to understand the material. I think you should chose another professor.

He's a really funny guy! On the other hand, his class can get emotionally draining sometimes because he tends to yell and put people on the spot. Lecture was hard to decipher but exams were very straighforward. Plus he gave us a big break by adding 16 points to everyone's midterm exams.
Wow, this teacher was HORRIBLE. The only reason i barely passed was due to the helpfulness of the TA. All i heard during class was "blah blah blah efficiency blah blah blah" not only is his accent horrid, he speaks way too fast for me to write down what he wants me to say.
He was Horrible, i couldn't understand him and he wouldn't make a lesson plan he would just write things down on the over head and then never mention them again. He would also yell at students if they didn't know the correct answer in front fo the whole class. Nat a good experience.
Pretty easy teacher. Took him over the summer and he makes it easier for summer students because he likes that they're in school instead of having fun over summer. Average was an A-, or at least he said that is what he wanted. TA bases entire grade, TA made it easier. Definite lecture based teacher. Not too hard.

I took ECON 102B and this class with Dr.Bandi. Don't call him Dr. Bandi unless you want lower grade. He his an accent. However, after some adjustment his teaching is all good. Interesting classes. If you haven' taken statistics and Calculas don't enroll.

Good teacher once I got used to his accent. Is passionate about getting students to think rather than just lecturing. May come off as yelling at a student but is really just trying to get you to use your common sense. His yelling episodes could be quite funny. He has high expectations for his students so be prepared to learn. Exams are fair.
I honestly think Bandi is a great teacher. It takes a while to adapt to his teaching style, in order to learn you have to go to class, office hours, and do the homework. This class takes alot of time. All the slackers in the class are the ones who are complaining and calling him mean. He is intimidating but you will learn a lot. He is very smart.

Stay away honestly. The first two weeks were easy, but now its holy mother. It severely hard. Your goin' have to try really hard to pay attention, his english is really hard to understand. Takes half an hour to explain one thing. Does really teach, just lectures about anecdotes about useless things.
Horrible professor. Bad accent and even worse temper. He encourages participation but he berates students if the answer is not correct. His grading is inconsistent and don't even try and ask why you missed some points on an exam. Despite what all the other people are saying, I accually like this professor. If you pay attention in class, and get over the fact that he has an accent, he's great. He goes over the material very well. Others claim he has a temper, but those kids are the ones that either talk, or do horrid things in class...

He is an alright professor, if you just get his bad accent out of the way. However, most of the questions on his exams comes from his lecture and the homeworks. I never nearly read the book. If you like math and understand the concepts, understanding his accent may not be an issue.

these people who gave bad reviews..are the ones who show up once a quarter in class, have no potential future but drinking. this professor is sometimes mean, gets angry when people show up late, puts you on the spot asking questions, makes fun of you too..BUT.. i realized this is the only class i have walked away LEARNING something for life. The teacher is very passionate about economics, however he is very difficult to understand. I spent more time in class trying to translate his lecture than learning anything. His tests are pretty easy if know the homework. Just make sure you know the homework and you'll do fine.
Very Passionate Prof. If you have common sense and clear to Econ, extremely easy class. Otherwise, hard to understand. Focus on all homework and use your TA as much as you can because TAs make all tests. Stay with TA, then guaranteed "A". I learnt a lot. A textbook is useless.

I graduated in 2004 and to this day the professors I learned the most was him. The concepts still linger in my mind. I have never spent more time studying for a class. Study Hard!!!

Bandy is a very passionate professor and really wants his students to learn. He has an accent, and likes to yell occassionally. Other than that, class is just based on 1 midterm, 1 final and homework that is free points because it is not graded. Tests are based off of the hw, and the textbook is not necessary.
Final was much easier than the midterm (study a lot for the midterm) good to go to class sometimes difficult to understand but if ask to repeat info he isn't a jerk about it. Boring class. Professor wants to u to know material. (passionate teacher)
This class has one midterm and one final. The entire tests are based off lecture. The book was useless. Know the homework and understand notes from lecture. If you pay attention and study the notes, it's an easy class. It does require effort, so it's not an easy A. The professor's accent takes some getting used to.

I took this professor for both lower and upper division econ. I got a C in lower division and got an A- in upper division after I challenged him on his Socialist ideas. I got tired on Socialist indoctrination and said something in lecture. He seemed to thrive on that. Like most college professors, he is a Socialist and pushes in his class.
Run for your life! He is everywhere when he lectures. He takes a long time explaining a theory and then he says..that it won't be tested on. It's confusing.
If listen carefully, it is easy to understand what he says. Once understand it, the test wiil be easy. Test based on homework and lecture. He is a good professor.

1- I like how he explains the economic concepts in very practical & easy-to-understand ways. 2- He doesn't use textbook (less reading, more understanding), just purely deliver concepts (me like). 3- he's very helpful & patient, & will explain whatever u don't understand over & over till you get it. I took 104A with him couple quarters ago & am taking him again for 104B. I highly recommend him if you are NOT lazy & like to actually learn, not just wanting to get good grades. If you pay attention to all his lectures & like economics, you will find him a very good professor.
Aside from the fact that it's impossible to understand him, he is a very bad teacher. He is always all over the place and leave students confused. The TA's even reluctantly admit the professor was not making much sense. Tip to getting an A: go to every discussion and the review sessions given by the TA's. Skip everything the professor does.
There aren't words to describe how horrible this man is. Rather than teach of the book, he makes up his own terms and equations and expects us to know it. He's an awesome professor. I will admit that he tends to wander, but if you pay attention, you will get it. His tendency to yell was a bit disheartening, and he calls out random people during class to answer his questions. Still, he is passionate about what he does. He's a good professor.
He doesn't make words or equations up, they're just slightly more advanced words. If you know calculus, it'll highly benefit you in understanding your notes and economics in general. If you take decent notes and study them, you'd have heard or seen everything on the exam at some point.
He's actually a really good professor, rather than making students mindlessly read out of a textbook he explains the concepts in a way students can understand. Sure he calls you out if you walk in late or if you're talking but the rest of us just think it's funny. Pay attention in class, do the homework, and you should be fine.
He is, indeed, VERY hard to understand. I realized though, you will get used to his accent. Aside from his accent, he is actually a very GREAT professor. He is an excellent professor, his tests are derived directly from his notes and homework. I've never gotten an A in any class while here at UCR,but i received one in his class. He makes everything easy to understand and puts everything in every day terms. He does not teach out of the book, which is great in my opinion.
He is an excellent professor, The material is hard, but he breaks everything down step by step, and shows real world examples that make sense. his tests are derived from his lecture notes and hw. Unlike other professors that teach out of the book, and only teach the theory rather than real examples used in the tests.
I took him for Macro and Micro during my undergrad years. I am currently taking Econ for my Master's Progam and wow Bandy's teachings stayed with me. The sickest professor out there please take him and get your money's worth in education
He is an excellent professor, even though i received a grade less than what i desired, i still commend him on his teaching. He is very involved with the class, and tries to explain concepts so you understand and not just memorize for the exam. He does yell, and get loud, not cause he needs anger management but because he is very passionate.

He's an excellent professor. He is very experienced and familiar with economic materials. In his class, he doesn't have slides, everything is amazingly memorized in his mind! He ALWAYS uses real life example to teach his materials, which makes his class so much clearer and easier to understand.Attend all the classes and you will get a good grade!
The book is useless in this class. The stuff he goes over in class makes no sense at all. Spends most of the time proving the equation in class rather than telling you how to use it. If your TA is bad good luck passing the class. Doesn't even post the homework answers up online now.

As a professor, Professor B's lectures were hard to understand solely due to his accent. His notes are all off the top of his head, many times very messy and disorganized. Never used the textbook, and even made fun of students mid-class. Class would be tolerable, if he had even a pinch of organization.

Taken two courses under this professor. He may either drive you nuts or he will earn your respect. He has done the latter for me. I agree that he is intimidating, but his class is decent. Lack of textbook use, but a good lecturer and his exams are fair. Earned A's in his classes. He's on the better half of the UCR professors here.
He's funny and interesting! Sometimes he can come off a little crass, but he cares a lot about his students and the subject he's teaching! I've had to drop classes twice because of this professor. His teaching style is a strange combination of aggressive questioning of individual students in the class, and hard to understand lecturing in which he takes previous economic principles you've learned and confuses you about them. It makes the class feel like an interrogation in some ways.
his accent makes him impossible to understand. he will take simple concepts and "oversimplify" them to the point of absurdity. He is no help if you go in at office hours he'll just call you stupid and explain something you didn't ask for. RUN for your life guys. he's terrilble. Bottom 3 teachers at UCR for sure.

I strongly advice you to not miss lecture. Don't just write down what he writes on the projector; write down the things he explains verbally too. Your notes will help a lot! 2 tests only: 1 midterm & final. Focus on your notes and hw. You'll get used to his accent. Take advantage of the TA's office hours! The material builds so don't cram.
I know this class is difficult but that is not because of the professor but because of the abstract subject ihe is teaching. He try his best to make the hard subject easy as possible. He is one of the better half in UCR. I took both 104A,B and got A. Just attend lecture regularly do yojr hw and your grade is guaranteed.
I took Econ 104A & Econ 104B wthis professor. The material taught in Econ 104B can be overwhelming but go to the TAs for help! Your notes & homework will help you prepare for the midterm & final. Don't just write what he writes. Write down things he says that add value to your notes (side notes) so you can go back and make sense of them.
Diificult class. You have to read and read to fully understand the concepts. Very intimidating professor, but it forces you to pay extra attention. Also very "old school". He is the only teacher I have ever had that uses a chalkboard. I developed a deep passion for econ after taking this course.
Class can be challenging based off how the professor comes off, but it's definitely worth staying in his class. He makes you think logically and if you can't do that then don't take the class. If you understand the homework then you'll get the midterm and final, simple as that. See him or TAs if you don't understand anything and you'll get an A.
Great professor. He tries to make econ seem very easy, and his tests are straight from the homework. He's one of the better econ teachers because he really makes you think about concepts and figure out things on your own rather than just lecturing on and on.
Midterms are like practice exams and homework, goes through same few principles in all 3 of these classes. 162 was most review of 104B. He is hard to understand, he will get off topic with his interesting teaching style and humor, but he has the best intentions. Not hard to do well in even missing a few lectures, curves final before test
I can easily say that his 104B class was the hardest class I took, but definitely one of the more interesting. His accent is a bit thick, but you'll get used to it quickly. Homework and tests are tough, so I suggest being open to study in groups. If you study hard, attend every class, take good notes, and do your homework, you can pass the class.

Study for the midterm and final, they are long. Lectures are long and the professor is intimidating because he tends to yell or raise his voice. No online powerpoints, just hand written notes.
It was a very difficult class. He has a thick accent and teaches dense material faster than you can comprehend. He encouraged students to ask questions yet he would embarrass them in front of the class for it. You can tell hes very smart, but he got frustrated quickly. Book didn't help, but the HW and the Q's he asks in lecture are very important.
Honestly the worst UCR professor I ever had. The class itself is really hard, but what made it harder with this professor is that you can't understand a word that he says. The grade was based on exams, 40% midterm and 45% final, but people couldn't even finish the tests in time. Avoid him. He's terrible. Barely curved the tests/class.

One of the better Econ professors that I had at UCR, I took him for 104A and 104B and the classes were tough. The material taught in 104B is built on 104A material and I would recommend reviewing. He does have an accent which makes him hard to understand sometimes. Doing the homework and going to discussion is essential. Skip class at your own risk
Need to really pay attention to be able to understand him, he uses his own concepts and random variables that sometimes do not correlate with the textbook. Grade depends on which TA you get - some grade easier than others. Midterm was 80% free response and was extremely similar to the homeworks. Final was same format and was not cumulative.
Stay away from him if you can. Had him for 104B and just barely passed after taking 104A and getting an A- from a different professor. Concepts are extremely abstract and he doesn't do a great job explaining many things. He says to ask questions when you have them but when people did he would say that you should know the answer already.

He will repeat certain things so write those too. Your notes are life. SHOW UP TO HIS REVIEWS. For midterm, study what he went over in the review session. For final, study the opposite concepts.

Take him. He goes come super intimidating, but his class is very straight forward. 50% of his exam is literally just the homework problems, with the numbers switched. Everything else he or his TA's will mention during the review session. Do the homework and go to the review session, and get an easy A.
He is a very good wake up call to those who think they can breeze through their classes without having to work. He does structure all of his classes the same so the first time taking him might be brutal but after that is is slightly easier the more classes you take with him.

Worst professor I've ever had. He yells at you if you try to take notes and puts people on the spot if you have any questions. His handwriting is so bad and it's hard to understand him, basically had to teach myself the whole thing. Trust me, you're gonna wanna wait on this class until another professor teaches it.
Will embarrass students in front of the class for not understanding/forgetting the topic. Not approachable at all, will lecture and interrogate you if you make a small mistake. Likes laughing at/berating students. Also does not teach anything, only preaches theories that aren't on the test, then test on things that was not in textbook or lecture
I appreciated this professor because he made you work for the grade. His exams were based off practice problems, homework problems, and the problems mentioned in his review sessions. He comes off as intimidating but going to office hours will help a lot as well. His intentions seemed well and he was extremely knowledgeable in the topic!
Avoid him if you want to protect your gpa. His grading scale is terrible, so if you fail any midterm of final you will not pass the class. He is super boring, I have never seen so many people walk out class.

This professor is extremely intimidating and looks down on you if you don't know what he expects you to know. I have never had a more horrible experience in class before because he cultivated such a hostile learning environment. Avoid this professor at all costs and wait for a different one if you can.
I read the reviews before taking him that warned me to wait to take another professor. I didn't listen and that's where I messed up. PLEASE avoid this professor. 3.4 GPA student. Currently taking ECON 160 thru the COVID-19 pandemic w/out a TA. Expecting to fail. No lecture slides and plenty of handwritten scribbles. I had a hard time understanding his accent, and we couldn't record his lectures to go back on later. Assigned reading was given the lecture before midterms. He's very smart but bad at teaching.
This professor does not upload lecture slides or recorded lectures. You are responsible for showing up to lecture and taking notes or reading the textbook. Unless you have the time to basically teach yourself everything or really pay attention to his lectures, this class is very lecture heavy.
Unless you're a math god or are willing to teach yourself everything in this class, don't take it. His expectations are way too high for a teacher who cannot effectively teach. Provides no supplementary info and simply teachs off a docu camera with pen and paper. No lectures are upload and he has a thick accent. Be warned & save your time and money
Here is a piece of advice - DO NOT TAKE BANDY. I am nearly finished with my two degrees (BA and BS) and have taken classes throughout all disciplines with countless professors and this professor is by far the worst I have ever encountered. He is very hard to understand, cannot control technology, and does not care about student opinion. HORRIBLE!
I think he's caring by showing students tough love. He was accommodating to my class by curving the first MT. before an exam, he would do a review lecture where he goes over conceptual problems which are identical to what you would see in the exam. Attend his lectures, utilise your TA and ask the prof questions after class. it helps.
One of the hardest classes I have taken in college. I've only had this professor online but his heavy accent and handwriting made it harder for me to learn. Though the professor knows the material really well, he still has issues conveying the concepts. He doesn't give many practice questions before, which made the midterm and final harder. 3/10
Having taken Professor Taradas before the pandemic, his courses are much more different than before. Taradas is a notoriously difficult professor with lectures being very material heavy. However, Taradas has made his class relatively easier this time around. Lectures teach the theoretical side of the course while you supplement the mathematics..
His lectures are all over the place, doesn't give a tentative schedule. Worst lecturer I've had in three years, oh and mid term and final are 80%!
I am begging everyone that is going to take this class to drop the class and go to a different professor, who can actually teach. This professor tricks his students instead of teaching the material. No one asks questions because he is very unapproachable, instead he just gets mad. Unorganized, high expectations, and incapable of teaching.

If you saw him on your registration page, just skip him. Trust me. Learning by yourself on Khan academy is better than taking his lecture
