Helpful, easy to understand, very articulate, and takes much enthusiasm for his subject. Funny guy too, not uptight or anal like some other teachers, down to Earth you could say. I recommend for all. A+++

This guy cracks me up. We never had a boring class, his shirts keep you awake, and he's younger, which makes the students more comfy. He doesn't count attendance but unless you know ur stuff, try to go to class often. No chances for extra credit but his tests are easy if you show up for review. I'll take his class next semester because he's cool

Really good teacher. Teaching style is great, fair, and he's funny as hell too. I had alot of fun in this class as well as learning alot about the middle east which I had zero knowledge of when I first walked in. Just make sure you attend and take notes, he doesnt take attendance but he tells you whats on the test.

Awesome class but you MUST attend if you want to get the material. He doest take attendance. Every person I talked to who skipped class and did bad on the test whined and cried, but since I attend I got a B+. Like I said, attend class especially the reviews and youll do great. I agree with everyone else on EVERYTHING they said about Tareq. Very good class, only problem is the way he posts the notes on blackboard. PUT THEM AS A WORD.DOC! I ended up with over 100 pages of notes when I copied and pasted. Other than that, VERY GOOD CLASS VERY GOOD TEACHER!

Fun class! Professor Ramadan is very knowledgeable about the subject matter, and he really likes to help his students. You don't need to show up for class to get points, but if you miss a day you should get the notes! I didn't really know anything about Arabia, but he really drew it out. Would take another class of his in a heart beat!

He was very helpful and funny at times. If you show up to class, take notes, and show up on review day, then you should be able to receive an "A". The book is not necessary for his class. He makes the course for enjoyable. You will actually want to come to class. Great Professor.

Tareq was by far the best instructor I had at WSU! I feel so lucky that I got the privilege to take a course with him. It was so worth it! He has a great personality and sense of humor. There are a total of three exams, which you should pass with flying colors b/c he tells you exactly what to study for on review day. Easy A guaranteed in the end.

Glad I took this class with him. Very laid back teacher and has a sense of humor. 5 précis, a 3 page paper and a final. He tells you exactly what you need to know, no surprises so its easy to get a good grade and he grades very fair. I would def take him again. If you need a class and he's teaching it, take it with him, you won't be disappointed.

Pretty easy. He does read directly from the slides, so you won't miss out too much if you miss a class. But he does love the subject and will add on to each slide as he goes. He is pretty funny and tries to make the class enjoyable. Exams aren't too difficult. The course can be somewhat boring, but his jokes make it better.

The professor is really cool. He knows the subject and is always willing to explain anything further for better comprehension. No required textbook just the slides and he will post the required readings. He is very fun. I see a lot of females think he is hot this has nothing to do with the learning. He is a good teacher.

One of the best professors at Wayne. Has a quirky sense of humor. The only professor rocking tiger stripes in his fadelol. He knows how to make a subject interesting when it would be dreadfully boring if taught by someone else. Since Islam is such a hot topic now, it's nice to learn its history and what it really is versus what "experts" on tv say.

Cool and really nice guy. Very easy to talk to and makes the class interesting. If you just put some effort into the readings and pay attention in class you will get a good grade. Only 2 quizzes and a final. Would definitely take another class with him.

Down to Earth, Comic Relief. Show up to every every class, participate in discussions, take notes on powerpoints, and you'll do fine. Only con is not too many assigments.

One of my favorite professors ever. Super cool guy but also extremely smart. The textbook is helpful but he gives you everything in the power points. Doesn't have a ton of assignments which is good and bad. However, he provides you with great opportunities for good grades. Phenomenal professor, take his class.

MR Ramadan was honestly an amazing teacher to have , he is extremely knowledged about the subject at hand . As for quizzes easiest thing ever , just study the study guide and you will do fine . I would totally take him again if I had the chance ;)

Professor Ramadan was phenomenal. Hes obviously informed and passionate about what he teaches. The class was long, about 2.5 hours but thats because it only met once a week. Because of this, I dont advise skipping. He posts PowerPoints online, however, a bulk of explanation is missing without going to class.

He is amazing and wants to see students succeed and do well. Learned a lot and it was very fun. But then again I was a geek about the course topic. He is a high energy caring professor that likes to stimulate class discussions.

Though he tends to focus lectures on his research and the Levant region, it is an easy blow off class. and he encourages class discussion. No textbook.

This is definitely one of the best courses I've ever taken. Dr. Ramadan is so kind, respectful, intelligent, and funny. He makes it easy to pay attention to a two and a half hour lecture. His quizzes/exams are not difficult as long as you pay attention in class. I learned so much interesting stuff, and looked forward to talking to him every week.

This class was a Gen Ed for me but I ended up LOVING it! Professor Ramadan was caring, funny, and serious at the same time. He really values your time & the grade you receive in his class. Quizzes are heavy loaded and his exams are pretty fair! Quizzes/exams are based on readings/powerpoints. Lectures are worth & you'll get an A if you're present.

One two and a half hour class in a week, but this class was a joke. He tells u exactly whats on the quizzes and midterms, very easy to get an A.

Probably the nicest and one of the best profs I've had at WSU!! He's really enthusiastic but makes everything very clear and really empathizes with his students. Had him for two diff. classes. Strongly encourage you to take 'Arab Society' with him at some point. He's awesome!

Hands down the easiest professor you will ever come across in your life. Very easy just honestly glance at his slides the day before a test and you get a guaranteed A. I would highly go to his lecture because their so interesting like you will never fall asleep. Also do not waste your money buying the book. Your never gonna need it.

Grades only by 4 quizzes, two exams (final and midterm). He was super nice, funny, and laid-back. Provided study guides for every exam and quiz. Just make sure you actually study for the quizzes and exams, and you'll get an A. He's a great guy and super caring!

He is a great professor. Classes tend to go off topic but about other interesting things. He cares about his students and always writes in all caps. He has a few quizzes midterm and exam. Memorize the study guide because it's almost word for word on the exams and quizzes. Cool guy

Dr. Ramadan is the type of professor everyone can learn from. Throughout the whole course, he demonstrated kindness and consideration for his students. Lectures are recorded with supplemental readings (unnecessary for quizzes, good if you want to learn more) and PowerPoint slides are posted for when you're short on time.

Dr. Ramadan is by far one of the most caring professors I have encountered at Wayne State. He is very understanding and considerate and easy to communicate with. The class is out of 100 points, that can get pretty stressful but he offers lots of extra credit.

Best professor by far. He is extremely passionate about the course. The course was entirely online this semester and every reading could be accessed through the syllabus. Used canvas better than any of my other professors. Do not be afraid to email him if you need help in the course because he responds in a timely manner and is very understandable.

He's so passionate about teaching, it was refreshing! However, his class did require effort. The class is graded on a scale of 100 points which was quite stressful, but he did give extra credit opportunities, which made up for his harsh grading on written response questions on exams. If you attend class, you'll be there the whole scheduled time.
