she was a really good teacher, her tests were straight off of her notes. just show up for class and you are garanteed to pass.

I highly recommend this class to anyone who needs to fill a humanities requirment. I believe its a gordon rule class, but for your papers you just have to go see dances and right about what you thought of it. Plus you get to dance one day a week. This class was sooo much fun:)

GREAT TECHER! fun, easy class, great atmosphere. She wants everyone to get an A. If you show up to class and see 2 dance performances there is no reason not to get an A. You will have to wear a leotard and tights but after the first time, the class was comfortable - my class was all female.

She is an excellent teacher. She really helps you learn the moves and her tests is pretty easy. Her class makes you really want to come even when your body is aching from your last class with her. She is fair and makes dancing fun.

This class is so easy. you learn to do basic ballet and jazz. the tests are really easy. your two papers consist of you going to a performance and writing about it.

She is the best. She is just like a big kid. In a good way. She's understanding fun and knows how to get down. Has the best music. I love her. You only have to come to class and write one paper on a performance that you saw.

Her class is soooo much fun! She has an awesome collection of music, so you never hear the same old boring stuff. Great easy A class. Also helps you improve your flexibility by the end of the semester ;)

There was no book required for class. She is very fun and quite entertaining. You do not have to be in good physical shape to take this class. People of all shapes and sizes and no previous dance lessons were in this class. You must attend two performances and write critiques on them. But they are really short papers.

This class is great. If you need to take a humanities for a health program, I highly recomend this one. No stress, great music, she teaches well and is a nice easygoing person. The salsa and afro class days were awesome. Don't miss any class because it will affect your grade. No book necessary.

Great Dance Instructor!

Kendall's a pretty fun teacher, but I found out I'm a terrible dancer so it was hard to keep myself motivated at times. Luckily I still got an A in the class, so I'm pretty sure even a monkey can get an easy A. No textbook, couple papers, yadda yadda, really easy altogether and capoeira was SO much fun!

Tari is awesome. The class was really fun although boring at times for dancers, because it's not challenging. Fun class for non dancers though. Tari is an easy going teacher and lets you turn in your assignments late. 2 show reviews, 3 dance article reviews. She also gives extra credit. Take her.

DAA1000 is an INTRO to dance so don't worry about your skill level. Tari is great and lots of fun. You dont buy a textbook for this class you buy a leotard and ballet shoes but you can find discounts. The 5 writing assignments arent hard either. Take Tari!

Mrs. Kendall is avery understanding teacher and willing to help out any way possible. I'm not a dancer but this class was great. Do your assignments and show up, a very esy A. Extremely fun class. Shes very hands on and makes sure everyone is on the same page. She makes class really fun, always cracking jokes and has a very upbeat personality. She was by far my favorite teacher!

Tari is an incredible teacher. There are so many opportunities to improve your grade and she is very very helpful. I would recommend this class to anyone. Counts as a humanities class. Such a great way to fill that requirement. There are 2 essay quizzes and they're relatively easy. TAKE HER.

Quizzes online. Fun and easy class. Just attend the classes because attendance is almost 50 percent of your grade. a paper on a performance or another option is due at the end of semester. Overall, an amazing teacher.

I really enjoyed the class. All you do is dance and you have to take a quiz, but they're super easy.

Participation is a must! She gives you lots of options when it comes to performances ( you must see at least one and write a review). Tests are super easy.

Ms. Kendall was very fun teacher, all you have to do is show up and try to dance. She doesn't grade you on your abilities but just on the fact that you put in effort. She also has lots of stories and is fun to listen too. Would take this class again.

She is an extremely easy teacher but you have to show up and you have to do the TEN question weekly quizzes. Easy A. Mrs. Tari makes it very clear about what she wants and you have to do ONE easy paper for your JELLO grade. Cake class, really really fun and she does not grade on your dance ability.

Mrs. Tari is an amazing professor. She is crystal clear on what she expects of her students and its not unreasonable. Do what she asks and you will receive a great grade. Also, you do NOT get graded on how well you dance, so anyone can take her class. I definitely recommend her without a doubt!! Super sweet, caring, hilarious, and talented!

Loved this class. Great elective to take! No homework , just open book quizzes on sunday. Participation is a large part of your grade as well as attendence.

This was one of my favorite classes I look this fall! Tari is so nice and knowledgeable in dance. It was a class but it didn't feel like that because it alleviated stress rather than create it. I thoroughly enjoyed all the dance we did and what we learned. It is important to note that attendance is important and heavily weighted so SHOW UP!

Really nice teacher. Easy class, all you have to do is show up once a week. I am not a dancer so did not enjoy the class, but many other students loved it. One 750 word paper due on a dance performance of your choice (attend one per semester). The performance was actually really cool. Overall, super easy class. Style of dance was really boring.

I'm just finishing up Dance Fundamentals and it has been a very enjoyable easy class! She wants you to do well and actually thoroughly engages you in what you're learning. I missed a few classes due to being sick but she lets you do a makeup dance class before finals which is helpful! I'll be taking Ballet with her next semester and I cannot wait!

Mrs. Tari is absolutely amazing. Her class is so much fun, I would definitely recommend her to all. You will not regret taking her class. It's so easy and you learn so much.

I took this class online and i would absolutely take it again. Not a dancer by any means but i needed this class for my AA and i would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy workload. I never felt overwhelmed by this class at all and the teacher was very understanding.

My class was all online, but you have to submit videos of the movements. She also offered some extra credit if you attended and participated in the functions. I had a Blast. She also gave good feedback on your reports, movements and kept you informed. DEFINITELY A MUST TAKE professor. SHE"S AWESOME!

Her class is incredibly engaging. Minium HW maximum fun. You'll actually learn from her class. There are a few quizzes throughout the semester, but overall HW is managable. You don't need to be a skilled dancer to do well in her class, take her if you can!

Proff. Kendall is by far one of my favorite professors. She is funny and makes everyone feel comfortable. Don't bother getting the book for DAA1000 because they have it in the library so that could save you some money.

Tari is such a kind, funny professor who will make you want to perform your best every class. Her technique is awesome (I love traditional ballet) and her personality will make any class you take with her a breath of fresh air.

If you hate/love dance either way it's safe to say Tari is great! Class consists of 10 quizzes (all answers directly from a small book) DONT buy it, it's available at the library. One critique paper based on a performance (750 w) and the only downside is attendance counts a bit. Overall, the class is an easy A and it was fun to attend.

This class is really easy. I took it online and I had to do 8 quizzes based on the textbook, 9 easy videos of some movements, 3 assignments on a specific dancer, a dance critique that you do by attending a dance show, and the final.

I loved my dance class. I had a hybrid class and let me just say it wasnt hard at all. I recommend taking this professor she makes it fun and gives you great feedback and you can really connect.

You have one dance performance you have to attend & write the paper on & then its just quizzes plus the final. Class is a big part of your grade so make sure you participate!

Professor Kendall is super caring and passionate about what she does. You need to show up to every class. You only meet once a week even though it says twice a week. World dance was really fun and you do dance classes in class, quizzes, about 4 papers and one of them is a final. You do not need to buy the book because its available in the library.

I loved Professor Kendall. She is awesome. She has a passion for teaching her art that makes you want fly as a dancer. She is very straightforward with what your assignments are and the due dates. The rest is up to you. The class was fun but due to personal issues I had to change to the online class. It was a good class. She is awesome.

Very easy class, a few very easy low-level video submissions required that you get an A for effort not skill-based. 8 Bi-weekly quizzes and 3 discussion posts/ assignments & one event critique. Very easy and manageable class, also really fun to learn about the dances.

A Great Teacher who Works with you

Took class in 'Fall A. Material is well set-up, no real need for a textbook. Great elective for those who want an introduction to Dance.

Overall, she's nice. Can come off as a little passive aggressive sometimes, but as long as you try during class there's usually no issues. We danced more than I thought we would, and it was good exercise but if you have 0 dance experience, you might find it a little intimidating and difficult.

This is the best course ever! Great discussions, simple quizzes, quick video submissions, short reaction/ culture papers, and one final paper. The book really helps with quizzes, etc. Tari Kendall is a great professor. She will respond to your emails, understand personal situations, and gives out great feedback. I'm taking DAA1000 next semi too!

Tari Kendall is a wonderful teacher and I would highly recommend her class to anyone. Her online class requires participation but as long as you do the work, you can pass. Her assignments are interesting and her quizzes always relate exactly to the textbook material. I would take her class again if I had the chance.

Tari Kendall is an amazing professor! Every assignment is very clear. There's quizzes, but they follow along with the book, one paper, and video submissions of dances. You get two attempts on quizzes/final, and it is unlimited time. It was a very stress-free course. I finished with a 100%.

Tari Kendall is a easy professor. She has most of her assignments posted ahead of time. i took this class online and i highly recommend it. it's an easy A and it is also a good experience. There's quizzes every week, a few recordings of you dancing, projects, and one paper. She grades everything on time and always gives out encouraging feedbacks.

Professor Kendall is very sweet and understanding and forgiving especially when it comes to grading. You are expected to do the work and complete it on time but theres not a lot and its easy to complete. Each assignment takes less than 10 minutes. Her tests are open book, which is extremely useful if youre like me and forget to read the material

WORTH IT! Ive taken both Dance Fund and World Dance as electives and it's the best decision I've made. Tari Kendall is such an amazing professor, she's caring, and she always there if you have any questions or needs. I loved taking these courses because they gave me a different perspective on dance. Theres discussions, clear quizzes and fun videos.

Dance was the most fun class I've taken this semester. This is largely in part to how Professor Kendall has structured her class. The workload is manageable and the content is interesting. If I got the chance I'd love to take another one of her classes.

Since I took Professor Kendall's online course, it was pretty easy. The workload is decent primarily because it is a fast-paced course. It's basically like working at your own pace because almost all of the assignments are open from the start, but they have specific due dates. She doesn't grade on dancing ability so that's great too.

Professor Kendall is an amazing professor and I am very lucky to have had her as my instructor during my first dance course at Santa Fe. Even though the course was online, Professor Kendall managed to make the assignments interactive and personal. Take this course seriously and show your respect and do your work, Kendall will show you the same.

The best Teacher I had!

I was scared to take dance again after a past teacher told me I had no rhyyhm and should drop her class. I decided to give it another go because I love dancing. Professor Kendall was super supportive and sweet. She made me believe in myself again and I really enjoyed her class. If you are debating wether to take this course DO IT!!

The videos she posts for updates show how much of a kind person she is. Work is easy and this is definitely a great class if you need an elective.

Class Structure laid out day 1, Easy to take time aside & knock assignments out. No textbook needed. The quizzes (8) are open book/note/internet (MC/2 tries). Short videos of simple dances not graded on dance ability either. 3 short research discussion posts and paper. Good feedback from her, and I'd love to take her again. HIGHLY recommend.

The professor took time to encorauge us individually, her class was very organized and interesting , world dance is a class that enriches your knowledge of dance around the world and opens your understanding that dance is not just social but also cultural, theatrical and religious. I will give her an A as a teacher , she kept me excited about dance

I was scared of taking this class because I'm not a good dancer but she's very supportive and will give you an A for effort on dance assignments (which are most assignments). Quizzes can be done without textbooks since you can look them up online. You have to do a discussion post once a month. Critique of a dance performance is the longest work :)

Awesome professor. Very clear grading rubrics, open book quizzes, and always gives feedback. I was nervous about the dance submission videos as I have no experience dancing, but she grades you on effort and always leaves you with positive feedback. I wish all of my professors were as clear as she is with what they're looking for to get an A.

I took this class for fall A and still did not feel like it was a lot of work. No late work could be submitted past the due date. Be prepared to dance because there are dance submissions. There are quizzes with two attempts that are open book and open search engine. Easy class and would take her again. The teacher is understanding and caring.

Tari Kendall makes the dance world accessible to all levels in this class. As a former dancer, I was surprised by how much I learned about viewing dance and writing artistic critiques. Professor Kendall is an angel! Absolutely amazing I wish I could take more dance-based classes with her. I 100% recommend.

She lets you turn in late work and understands that college students have a life outside of college. She responds fast through email and there is no final exam, only a final essay. There are also a few short essay response discussions but she mostly wants you to have fun in her class and its clear that she's passionate in her job.

Make sure to come to class! DAA1000 is a very easy class, there is one paper due at the middle of the semester, but it was fairly easy.

I LOVED professor Kendall, I took her for dance fundamentals spring A 2023 and it was such a fun class! The assignments weren't hard and completely open notes, she didn't trick you with anything and told you straight from the beginning what she expected. This was not a stressful spring A class at all.

I loved taking DAA1000 with Professor Kendall! I was nervous at first because it was an 8-week course, but the class turned out to be so interesting and it didn't stress me out at all. Her grading criteria is clear and she responded to emails fairly quickly. Dancers and non-dancers alike, take this class--it is worth your time and money!

I definitely would recommend taking her class short term and not a full semester.

More caring than she seems.

Professor Tari cares about her students immensely. I took ballet 1 with no previous experience, and I felt like it was the perfect pace for a beginner. If you show up for all the classes, you will most likely get an A. The course is physically demanding, but nothing extreme.

I loved Professor Kendall. She made class so fun and it was so easy. I took this as an accelerated course and I thought it would be difficult to complete all the work but it wasn't at all. Beware that you have to take a video of yourself dancing, but she doesn't judge on your abilities and it's fun learning these dances.

Professor Kendalls class was one of my favorite online classes that I have taken at Santa Fe! The material is interesting and easy to understand.
