Professor Holmes has a humorous personality. He makes learning exciting by joking around and relating to his students. However, when it's time to buckle down and get things done, he takes care of business. He moves swiftly through topics, but if something isn't understood he explains the process of the problem step-by-step. He's an easy-going guy.

For all math classes I have taken, I must say Prof: Holmes have skills when it comes to math. This professor gave me courage, that there is hope after all in math. A semester ago, algebra sounded like a foreign language. Great job!

Best math professor I have ever had. He is very clear, thorough and helpful. He is the only professor to successfully motivate a class as a whole to learn the material and not worry about grades. He's a very good teacher. I took him in the summer so everything was really hard but he encouraged his student to study. This is my second time taking math, but this is my first time actually learning something in a math class. You'll have to work hard for all your grade but he help you out with a lot of extra credits.

I usually don't write reviews, but Professor Holmes is one of the best. He runs the class well and the lectures are not long and drawn out. I really learned a lot in the class.

I was in a class full of high school students. He left a ton of homework. Classes were Tuesdays and he opened the website on Saturday morning and it would take me the entire Saturday and Sunday to finish it. Really hard tests but beside all of this I can say that I pass the class with an A because I did all of the homework and never miss class.

The class was once a week so there was a lot of homework. However, Professor Holmes gives great lectures and he explains very well. He makes the class enjoyable.

Before taking his class, I read the reviews. He is a great Professor. He explains well. He does give extra credit. He makes the class enjoyable. However, he is very strict with his policies. If you miss an exam or miss the home work assignments he doesn't allow many opportunities for Make up. Other than this he is one of the best.

WOW, best math teacher i have EVER had. I am the worst at math but I was surprised to see that i ACTUALLY learned stuff and have passed my exams. He will not stop until you understand the material and gives plenty of examples and problems for you to practice with. The class environment is super positive and he is super funny.

Truly the best math professor that I've had in a very long time. Takes the time to explain every topic until you get it. Some people complain that he moves too quickly but it is not his fault if you don't decide to speak up in class- he will help if you ask. His test reviews are very helpful for the exams. I wish he was teaching the next course.

This was my second time taking this course with a two year break. Professor Holmes was very encouraging. His favorite line was "trust the process" and if u believe it, it's possible. He also had us look at math in a different light... it's a language. Once I challenged myself to learn that language, it made it a little easier.

I took this class on Saturday mornings. It was hard. You can't be late or miss class. It was very fast paced. The lectures are good. He explains very well. The exams are just like the problems in class. MML wasn't that bad.

You need to purchase the access code no way of getting around that. Test were based on different materials study guide didn't help . He did give extra credit for lab hours in the tutoring center. Make sure all the homeworks are done big part of the grading they where really long. Lectures were very clear but not enough. I was in the lab studying.

He is the definition of a high school teacher. If you are looking for an easy A, this is not it. He teaches every concept thoroughly and leads his classes as if it were high school. He takes his time and works everything out. He uses Remind, but he never answered my messages. He was very hard to reach and I had to get information from students.

He's super funny and chill when it comes to his teaching style; I was finally able to understand the material in this course after a couple tries. He make's sure that everyone understands the class by making us participate and try out problems ourselves! There's quite a bit of homework but if you just lock in and do it, you'll pass.
