Very very funny guy, always willing to explain things or help in any way possible.

One of my favorite instructors. Great sense of humor. Very knowledgable. Very willing to help you and answer any questions that you may have. If you need a bio class you would be foolish to take if from anyone else.

We got to ride horses around Idaho and learn about science. If you have the chance to take horseback discovery for BIO science, DO IT!

Bro. Carter is awesome. He is a hard teacher but is an amazing guy. He lets you know what he will test on but it is hard. Great guy!!

I loved Professor Carter! he was a wonderful teacher, he made everything very clear, had a great sense of humor and was willing to adjust to the needs of his students. his classes requires some work, but it's all fun.

You don't need a textbook. The textbook is online. Overall it is a really good class. It is very interesting and not too difficult. Except, the test questions are a little challenging. The tests didn't always contain what I expected. But overall I liked the class.

Great Teacher

He was very helpful if you had questions. If you didn't understand he would try to explain it in a way that you could understand. Tests weren't too hard if you read your material and studied. He always starts class with something funny. He is a pretty laid back guy.

Brother Carter makes for an enjoyable class. He would go to the end of the earth to help you. The trick is you have to ask and not just in class when he is on the spot. He wants to help you understand everything. Trick is go to his office and ask for help.

He's alright. The tests are tricky but I'm pretty sure that the teacher didn't make the tests.

Brother Carter is very willing to help you outside of class, but for FDSCI he doesn't always have the answers.

Pay attention in class and take good notes and you will do fine. Sure it's a 100 level class, but this is college. You can't just ignore the lectures and assignments and expect to get a good grade. He is a super nice person and willing to help, but you have to be willing to ask for help if you need it.

Know Biology very well, has a great sense of humour and I enjoyed his class alot!

For foundation Science 101, he's not so great on the non biology related subjects (Universe, Atomic models), but with geology and biology he's very knowledgeable.

Very entertaining in FDSCI 101. Keeps class interesting. He helps prepare us for higher science classes. Teaches us to take responsibiltiy and work hard.

Awesome teacher! He really knows his stuff and enjoys teaching it. He is funny too, which is a plus!

Brother Carter is funny. When he comes to biology, he knows his stuff. It is hard for him to explain the geology, physics and chemistry part. The tests are pretty hard, so you have do be diligent in all the other class assignments to make up for it. But, I still will suggest him as a teacher. He's inspiring and does his best to help you succeed.

I LOVED the Horseback Discovery class that he tought. It was one of my best college experiences. The Religion class was interesting and it was fun to learn about all the animals and such in the science class. Everyone that loves the outdoors should take at least his Horseback riding class and his science class

Very nice guy. The problem with this FDSCI 101 was that it is very broad and the tests were very difficult and ridiculous. I would study for hours and still do horrible. Brother Carter is a good teacher when he knows the material but most of this coarse was over his head as well as ours. The blind teaching the blind.

He is a nice guy and easy to get along with. The trail riding class was a wonderful experience and I really liked it. The religion class was insightful and I loved reading the conference talks in the Ensign. Science was my least favorite. There's just so much to do but I did learn a lot about plants and animals and their scientific names...

Bro. Carter is super cool. I took the Horseback discovery tour and had him for Rel333 and Environmental Stewardship Sci203. Make sure you ask questions if you have them because sometimes he forgets to inform the class about things. Just do the work and you'll be fine. If you get a head start on the homework it won't be so hard.

Bro. Carter is a great teacher. I took the Horseback Discovery Program and it was an unforgettable experience. He didn't really follow his syllabus too well and the class was not what I expected but I still really enjoyed him as a teacher.

Brother Carter is fun and kind. Horseback discovery is the coolest class, and I definitely recommend it to everyone! Science and Religion weren't hard, but you have to do your work and study outside of class to do well.

I really enjoyed this class. Bro Carter was fun and entertaining and I learned a lot in this class. You have to do your work outside of class and meet with your group and those are all easy points for your grade. His tests are not easy by any means, but you have to study. If you study...not cram for the exams you will do fine.

Brother Carter is one of my favorite professors. He is very fun and helpful. He does a good job at clarifying anything that you might not understand. He is a great teacher because he is patient and extremely knowledgeable. Also, the Horseback Discovery is, hands down, the best class you could ever take; it is so fun and I really did learn a lot!

Easy class. If you study the slides he gives right before the quiz you will get an A. Just do your projects. One of the most easy classes.

I don't understand all of these negative comments. Brother Carter is a funny nice guy. The class isn't difficult and it is very possible to get an A in his class if you put in the work. Not much out of class work. Do the assignments, and you'll be fine. I would recommend Brother Carter to anyone!

ReHe makes funny jokes at the beginning of class every time and he is a really nice guy but as for the class it really is not that interesting but he does try to make it more interesting. It is super easy but honestly mostly I did homework for other classes in this class.

This is a great professor to take science from. He is very understanding of the student opinion and wants them to succeed. I appreciated this class from this teacher.

As much as I thought the class would be rather typical in nature, it was not. Sure, it was typical in the idea that we have to do what we can to look ahead toward environmental issues, but the information presented was very enlightening. It was more than just the science behind the issue, it also covered the political and social issues behind it.

Great class. Teacher really cares about students and helps them to understand Global and Local Issues. I would take from him again. He tries to make the class fun. As long as you do the prep work and participate in class you will enjoy this class.

I took this class because I couldn't get into the other foundation class that I originally wanted to take. I was not overly happy about it at all. It was pretty interesting and I really liked Brother Carter. He made it very entertaining and I really enjoyed it. Started every class with a joke...not much better than that!

His class is really easy to pass as long as you do your homework. Trying to figure out what is due and when is kinda hard but the homework isn't hard and if you do it you WILL pass. He is a fun guy and always has a joke to tell when you first get to class. I would def. take it from him.

Brother Carter is pretty cool we always start with a joke and that helps lighten the mood and then he doesn't add fluff and on fridays we only have class about 2/3 of the time. Use the excel due dates because hw is not always due. He even gives you extra credit to rate him :)

This teacher is not bad at all. A bit boring at times but funny too. His class is an easy A if you do all the assignments and quizzes. He likes to do pop quizzes about your readings. So watch out.

I had him for environmental stewardship. The class is not difficult, you just have to make sure you do all the assignments because there are not many. You only use the book for two readings of about 20 pages each. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't have bought the book, but rather borrowed it from someone in the class.

This class was pretty easy. It was boring and dry in class yet the work you did really did make you think. I would take this class again just for the fact that it was reasonable and easy to complete.

As long as you have to take science classes for foundations it might as well be this one. Brother Carter is a great teacher. He can elaborate on a broad range of topics. I would definitely recommend him as a teacher. Just watch out because some assignments showed up in I-learn as due, and others were only in a due dates spreadsheet.

I really enjoyed the textbook it is accurate and comprehensible. The power point presentations are good but the discussion could be more creative.The case studies are interesting and informative. There isn't much group work.

This is not the funnest class on the planet but it is a foundation class and you have to get it done! Brother Carter's class is fun and if you attend and do your work you will get a good grade. Brother Carter's jokes before class are way funny too :)

Brother Carter is a nice guy. His class is very easy if you do the work and go to class and pay attention. The homework assignments were very simple and never really took to much time. Brother Carter tries to make sure that everybody understands and he really cares about his students.

Bro. Carter is like an old cowboy. He can be rough and gruff, but he is really a a solid, and steady Prof. He made things fun, and I learned way more than anticipated. I took Environmental Stewardship from him and it was (surprisingly) my favorite class of the semester. I would definitely take another class from him.

I thought Brother Carter was a pretty easy-going cowboy and that he knew a lot and cared what he was talking about.

Was clear on what we needed to learn and tried his best to make sure we all understood the topic.

I LOVED brother Carter! I had him for 3 classes last semester. (Teachings of Living Prophets, Eniro Stewardship, and Trailriding.) I was in the horseback discovery tour and that was probably part of the reason I loved him so much. He was a little dissorganized but he really cares about his students and is always willing to help you out.

I have had him 2x and have really enjoyed him as a professor. He really knows what he's talking about, does not assign unnecessary work, and does the BEST labs I've ever had, (field trips!!). He can be a little disorganized and spontaneous, but he makes it fun. I highly recommend him.

Very easy homework, weekly quizes are hard, but if you know how to google questions - easy to get a 100%. Exams are very hard, but other sections will compensate it easily. He let class evaluate presentations in the end of the semester.

Brother Carter is hilarious! he reads a joke everyday before class and his class is beyond easy! If you pay attention you shouldn't get anything but an A. His tests are pretty easy as well... sometimes confusing, but overall it was super easy.

I grew to love and be very connected with Brother Carter. He's kind of father-like in my opinion. He's not necessarily an easy teacher because he expects you to do your best. He's hilarious, understanding, and he cares. He got very emotional one day giving us some counsel, and it was very touching. Take him. Please. It's worth the challenge.

Maybe I'm just not good at science but even when I studied, I seem to have never been able to get better than a -B on any of his tests. But he is a nice guy, and will help you outside of class.

You can tell that this class isn't his favorite to teach. I don't blame him. It is a few high school science classes blended into one. With that being said, the class overall was ok. Not fantastic, but not terrible. If you just do the homework and do a brief review for the test you should do fine. I got an A on all the tests without studying.

This is my third class from Bro. Carter, and I've loved every one. He can be disorganized sometimes, but his lessons are good. This class was tough, lots of memorization in a very short period of time, but it's very possible to get an A, especially with Bro. Carter.

EASY. Homework was no more than 30mins once a class day. super easy, and the test are easy.

The course is straightforward. There are 200 plant names to learn and identify. You memorize 25 a week (once you finish a quiz, get started on studying for the next one). There is a class trip you get to go on which is the bomb! All I-learn quizzes are either 3 tries or unlimited. Brother Carter is super sweet and tells jokes. Take his class!!!!!

Brother Tate was a great teacher. He told us exactly what he expected, and he was super chill. He tells a joke every class and is genuine and helpful. This class was super easy!!

We have workbooks due once a week on mondays, so we are not required to go that day. They are difficult, but not too bad. I really enjoy the structure of the class.

Bro Carter was a pretty cool and funny guy. There were three quizzes a week (online & based off reading materials) but the 2 tests were kinda difficult. It's really important that you fill out the study guide weekly. The tests were worded really weird and were v confusing, even if you study. Overall, it was easy to pass if you do the work!

I took Bro Carter back in 2016 when I first started at BYU-I. After returning to school, I looked to see if Bro Carter was teaching a class I could take & I took GESCI110 from him. He remembered me after all these years and we had a great teacher/student friendship ever since. He indulged me in showing him pictures of my wife and kids to him.

Bro Carter is a good teacher. There is quite a bit of prep work before each class but the class it's self is pretty easy as long as you pay attention and put a little bit of time into it. His lectures are pretty funny and entertaining Most of the grades come from the prep work in his class (two 10 point quizzes and a 25 point forum per week).

Overall, Brother Carter is a great person but I didn't like him as a teacher!

Brother Carter was Awesome in this class. We had field trips once a week and went to all the major nature landmarks in the area. We spent a whole day in Yellowstone Park. Carter gave us real world information and wanted to hear our opinions and questions.
