I enjoyed this class and what he had to say. It was very easy to get participation credit because he would try to call on as many students as possible. The readings are not difficult and he has partners do a lesson on the chapter which I found to be super helpful. His exams are straight forward.

Failed my first test, and he immediately reached out to see what I misunderstood. He continued to provide support throughout the semester and by the end of the semester I had an AB and got a 95 on the final!

Puts his powerpoints on canvas, group quizzes every Thursday, and only has 3 exams which he tends to hint at some of the questions in class. The only downfall is the three 2 page papers and the 5-8 page theorist paper in which you must used peer reviewed articles.

Professor Myrick was an amazing professor. As long as you put the work in you'll succeed in this class. The exams were hard, but he definitely prepares you for them. There is a paper at the end that isn't too bad. I would highly recommend taking him for this course especially if you are an education major and have a love for education!

Great Professor. If you pay attention in class you'll do good on all the assignments. There are plenty of grades in the grade book and there are always options for extra credit. Weekly quizzes to bring up your grade, a few papers, and 3 major exams. Take notes and participate! Great class, definitely would take Professor Myrick again!

Professor Myrick is very experienced in the field of education. Has a passion for education and it keeps students engaged and involved. Many extra credit opportunities. If you put forth effort and time, the class will be beneficial and you should do well in it.

This class is lecture heavy, and there a very few assignments. You do need to read the chapters each week and there are weekly quizzes that are open note. You have to write 4 papers total, but he is a very good engaging teacher. He makes the lessons entertaining and reviews the information a lot so that you are prepared for the exams.

Professor Myrick's class is very lecture heavy but an easy A. There is no homework and only a few exams throughout the semester which count for most of your grade. I recommend this class its easy and very interesting to learn how psychology applies within the classroom setting.

The professor communicates clearly. Classes use slideshows, with open-note partner quizzes. There are three exams, extra credit for in-class reviews, and adjusted questions. Assignments include three journal articles and two lesson plans, all easy to score 100. The final paper is due by the end of the semester, with an optional final exam.

He was amazing!!! Prepped us well for exams, grades participation but as long as you are engaged in class you will get the points. Just a few papers and exams are exactly what we discuss in class. His lectures were engaging and made it easy to talk to him if you need help.

I enjoyed his class, but it was very lecture-heavy. We usually got out of class at least 30 minutes early every time we had class, which was nice. This class was really well organized! He told you what to expect on exams and made it easy to participate in class. You get points off of participation, so as long as you are engaged in class you will be fine! Also, he was very understanding and easy to talk to, his in class assignments were open to asking him questions and discussing with peers.

He doesnt seem to always know the answer to some questions/ emails but his class is structured well and he gives us good study material for exams and lots of extra credit opportunities.

Very informational class, you learn a lot. With that being said, its pretty fast paced and you move through the topics quickly. It helps to read the textbook before lectures, but if you're someone who doesn't keep up with that, he still does a good job covering all the topics in class. Exams are proctored online, with a window to complete them.

Professor Myrick was one of the best professors that I have had in a while, he is very sweet, funny, and always kept the class engaged in a good way. I have never dreaded going to his class and enjoyed doing the work that he assigned us. If you can take him definitely do it!

You have 3, 2 page max papers, which are super easy and if you do what you are supposed to you will get full credit. Dr. Myrick is a great professor who understands and is proud of what he teachers. EDU 206 is not the easiest course because of the exams but he does everything he can to prepare his students. If he ever claims something is optional, do it because it likely will result in extra credit.
