I tood Haj for 0304 and 0305 and he was wonderful.He took time to explain anything you did not understand. He made math fun and interesting. He gives very good reviews. If you do the homework and the reviews, the exams are very easy. One of the best math teachers at San Jac!

I haven't been to school in 15 years, but he made sure that we knew College Algebra inside and out. He truly cares about the students. Highly recommended.

Warning: This teacher is extremely difficult ! Math is not my best subject but this teacher took time to teach the material. He gives you lots of opportunity for extra credit so you won't drop the class. The exams are difficult and requires lots of studying but when it's done it's worth it.

Very helpful to do the extra credithe offers. It is time consumming but worth an entire letter grade increase if you do it all. I will be making sure to take him again for College Algebra, mainly because of the grading. Very layed back. Could care less about any excusses,just come to class, do your part, and you will pass!

Tawfik Haj is an amazing Math professor. I learned so much in his class last semester that I purposly signed up for his class this semester. His class is not an easy A necessarily. He will make you learn, but he will help you if you need it. If you work at it you will make an A in his class, but make sure to spend time at the math lab also!

He does not require the textbooks. He teaches straight from my mathlab. He's materials are clear and very easy to understand. But you have to make sure to attend his class every time or you will calm behind. Also, study the hand out packets. Most of the material on the exam are about what he covers. No hidden "fees" with this guy. What you learn in class is what will be on his exams. Straight forward. Great math teacher!

Haj is a GREAT teacher who helps regardless of your situation. I am absolutely atrocious at math and ended up with an A. I wish I could take him next semester but my schedule doesnt work with his. I got an A in the class and a 97 on the final. He uses My Math Lab exclusively. Drops your lowest exam and you must do the HW and quizzes on my math lab.

Really caring. I took him for the 5 week summer session and he is great! 5 tests (drops one) and a cumulative final. My math lab is required but his tests are exactly like the end of chapter quizzes on my math lab so it really helps. He's clear, makes sure you understand the material by providing multiple examples. Get ready to become best friend's with MyMathLab. Other than that, this class was a sure fire bet. He teaches it in a super easy way, drops your lowest test grade, and a couple low quizes, give's major extra credit, and is a great guy. I had bad anxiety when it came to doing math but Professor Haj was amazing good at teaching it! I used flash cards to remember the formulas because they are essential. Don't be afraid to ask him for help, he will definitely do what he can so you can understand the material. Just study and do not slack off!

HW-20% Tests-50% Final-30% Final was on campus and you can use your Final Exam Review. This was a self taught class, with some notes available. When I emailed him with a question he just told me to look at it again. BUT I would take him again. He does care and is helpful with grading.

I took Professor Haj online during the summer and he helped so much through email. If you make a mistake on any test or homework assignments he will help you. I really recommend this Professor Haj and he is a really calm person when you meet him.

I cannot emphasize enough how amazing Professor Haj is. He is one of the best lecturers I've ever taken (across all subjects) and really is just an incredible teacher all around. Class was based on Pearson my math lab. 5 tests and he drops the lowest grade. A lot of homework but it has unlimited trying, so you could make 100 on the homework. Highly recommended.

This was my second time taking college algebra and he was very helpful. He is willing to go out of his way to help you and if very considerate. He has 5 test and drops the lowest. I recommend this professor! One of the best online courses I have taken in my college career.

5 tests, lowest dropped. He provides all his notes from the beginning of the semester. There's a lot of homework, but you're only graded on the homework,tests ,and final(the final is in person but you can use your notes and review).The 4 tests are 50%, 20%for the homework, and 30%for the final.

Professor Haj is a very understandable professor. I have trouble in math, but if you show up to his class he will explain in a very easy way on how to do it. Apart from that, this class does use MathLab so there will be a lot of homework, the only thing you need to worry about is not to do it last minute.

I took Pre-cal online, I basically taught myself using the textbook but his notes on blackboard were helpful. The final exam is in person but he lets you use the review and notes.

Best MATH prof. He knows what he teaches. took him for PRECAL and taking him for Cal 1 and hopefully the rest as well. Extra credits are there. make sure you do all the solutions to the homework problem because at the end of semester if you submit it you 2 points for it.

Professor Haj clearly cares about the students he teaches. The manner in which he explains the criteria is easy to retain, and he answers all questions thoroughly. He goes out of his way to ensure his students grasp the concepts at hand, and he offers extra credit if necessary. The exams are based off of the homework that is provided.

I like his teaching method, makes it look very simple. Gives plenty of time to complete the homework. The problems in exams are very similar to what we get for homework. Always willing to help the students. Due to the pandemic the class moved online but he understood the situation and made it easier for us to get a good grade.

Professor Haj is such a great Math professor ! Took him for Cal 1-Cal 3. His lectures are easy to comprehend and will let you know what is going to be on the test. I took Cal 1 and Cal 3 online, test/hw are online but overall if you have any question he is there to help you. If you struggle with math you should definitely take him !

There is a lot of homework in this class, but he is willing to help you out if you need it! He will give you credit on any wrong answers as long as you show your work, and while he does not always respond to your questions in a timely manner, he is always kind in his responses. It is an easy A if you do your homework and study. I recommend him!

I took Mr. Hajs 3 week mini online and it was so much easier than I thought itd be. The hw has unlimited tries so EASY 100s. And depending on what grade you get on the hw determines how many extra credit points you get on your first two exams. For example 90-100 on homework gets you 10% of extra credit points. Also you get two tries on the exams.

I took professor Hajs calculus 1 course in the fall semester, and although he did it ever lecture, the format of this course was easy to understand and use. He used my math lab for everything (book, homework and exams) (signature assignment as well). For the homework you get unlimited attempts on ALL questions and for exams you get 2 tries.

Each homework assignment he assigned in my math lab was usually 60 or 50 questions each. He gave us around 4 or 3 weeks to complete them all and after the due date of the homework was the exam going over the homework. I had an emergency that caused me not to be able to complete work for 2 days and he understood and gave me extra time. Great guy.

Just a follow up to the last review, I had an emergency and he understood and gave me extra time. And in the beginning he helped me better understand certain topics in calculus 1 that I could not understand. Very kind and helpful, I will take him again for calculus 2.

If I had to take cal 1 or 2, I would absolutely take this professor again. Is very straightforward in his lectures and gives clear criteria for all his tests. He's also really sweet and cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Take him! You won't regret it.

TAKE HIM! Made math easy. lets us out early when he finishes lecture! 4 HWs: 40-50q but it's ok because he gives like a month to finish them. I took the winter mini, and being completely honest I thought all hope was lost with my second test since I got such a low grade. A lot of things were happening in my personal life that is was really hard to find time to study and keep up with the work. I am really glad I pushed through. The professor is really good at communicating.

What he teaches in class is the same level of difficulty for homework and test!! I took Math 2412 and 2413 with him, and homework can be submitted as many times you need in order to achieve an A. He is always willing to help with any difficulty you might have, and achieving an A with him is absolutely duable! Some EC opportunities are due in class.

If taken online, ur basically teaching urself, but it is do-able. Stay on top of hmwk, the hmwk questions are the exams! But chosen randomly, since there are sometimes 70+ questions in each hmwk module. That is how I got an A, on every exam. The exams and final is not proctored, if u care about that. Overall, really easy class but lots of hmwk.
