This teacher is incapable of teaching, unclear, grades unfairly, and is in general a poor excuse of a teacher. His assignments are subject to change at any moment and are very unclear. This man should not be in control of a class, and should be avoided.
I learned absolutely nothing from this class, except that if I see him, I now run in the opposite direction. His grading system was absolutely horrible. One bad grade can really ruin you. He does not help you or make the class fun at all. Do not take him.

got his teaching degree from the dumpster behind saint thomas....complete idiot...he has trouble doing his own tests with the book in front of him...now nothing against people who studder but this guy needs some major help in speaking.
i thought the class was very easy, granted he had a horrible teaching style, grading system and rediculous projects, i pulled out of the class with an A. all you have to do is read the book and youll do fine.
This guy is very arbitrary in grading and won't delete ambiguous or unanswerably questions from tests. His project assignments are in league with the tasks of Hercules in difficulty.

Try to take him during Intersession or Summer if you can. It will soften the blow a bit, cause he doesn't assign papers with the condensed schedule.
when i look back at what i learned in professor taylor's class, the only thing i can recall is the burning hatred i have for him in my heart. this man put me to sleep 4 times during one class period. i don't care if he has tenure, get him out of scranton!
NEVER TAKE THIS MAN!!! THE WORST PROFESSOR EVER!!! IMPOSSIBLE TO DO ANYTHING CORRECTLY and you get graded based on what your partners think of you, not worth the hassel for such an insignificant course.

The worst class ever, you will not learn a single thing, i passed the departmental final studying a different teachers notes, reading from the book will not help u pass the tests.I left with a B-...that's excellent for his class, he likes C and C- a lot!

Really scary and intimidating at first, but then you realize that he's a sweetie :) Group grading sucks, but start your project early and he'll help you out A LOT
Nice guy...a little goofy...very boring...slept a lot...group projects are really tough...make sure to start a week ahead of time...tests weren't that bad, just study the questions at the end of chs...don't take the class!
Gives out very confusing group projects and takes off major points for minor errors. Lectures are boring, but he doesn't take attendance. Tests are multiple choice, but very unclear and focus on insignificant material to the subject. Try to avoid him.
i liked him-yes hes goofy but it kept things interesting. the class IS NOT hard!!!! open the book, READ, take good notes, GO TO CLASS!!!!...i got As on all his exams by doing this. with the group project, just put in your best effort.

Worst mistake of my college carreer. I took him over intersession. 3-4 hours a day with him is not your ideal vacation time. I am a CompSci major and don't get me wrong, I know my stuff. I got a C- in his class. I argued day in and day out with him.
BIG MISTAKE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. tried to help me, but made the situaion worse. Every homework i handed in had everything wrong with it. very picky about everything and very unclear. He is very flamboyant and says "OH SUGARPLUMS" when he drops h

I had him over a year ago and im still bitter. If you have problems with him, just drop the class...there's no point in trying to talk to him because he'll just make you super mad.
Like that other guy, I'm still bitter 10yrs later. The word FORMULA does NOT have a Y in it. It is not Foymula. Anyway, he can't teach for anything, and his grading procedure is completely arbitrary and not based on your actual ability to complete work.
chuck is a tough teacher but i went to him for help n he did my entire homework...tests are hard n it doesnt seem fair to get a teacher this tough while other students are getting easy A's in a class that we all have to take...nice/crazy guy tho
Easy class if you read the material a head of time and take notes. Sitting in the front helps and participating helps. Easy A.

Only class in my college career I ever failed....and I'm here on a full scholarship.Completely unclear and assignments are riduculous.Always dressed for farming and his voice is enough to drive you insane!! AVOID HIM!!

This man is the most annoying teacher I have ever had. His tests are impossible, and he is not clear at all. He likes to trick kids for fun. If you get this teacher...get out!!! If you are stuck with him, study, a lot!
He is impossible! DO NOT TAKE HIM! He tests in the 3rd person and is the worst teacher I've ever had! He dresses like a farmer and talks slow and stutters! He constantly repeates useless information, and his tests are impossible and he spits when he talks (Do Not sit in the front row!)

Hey, he is a nice guy. Unfortunatly, that will not teach you anything. He is very unclear, grades with his opnion, hes tests are rediculous, and at some points unrealated to the matirial. Be prepared for "Prof. Taylor says " and "I know its wrong, but thats how I feel"
Prof. Taylor was very helpful. He is very passionate about his subject and cares about the progress of his students.

Verrrrrry strange man. Class wasn't very difficult, however the tests are a little hard. Be prepared to study more than you think you should. He's quite funny, worth taking once.

Professor Taylor is probably the worst teacher I could ever imagine. He is ridiculously unclear and contradicts himself constantly. Any guy who spends class explaining the value of negative zero and why we can't communicate clearly with aliens needs to be fired ... quickly. He's a disaster, avoid him at all costs.

Ummm, he continuously talks about this one time he worked in a data processing center for a college. I think that was right around the time, he lost his mind. Anywho, I actually not only learned nothing, things that I thought I knew became more unclear.
Worst. Class. Ever. Dont take him. hes a sweet guy but gets confused really easy, talks to himself a lot, makes no sense, tests are impossible...I stopped trying and got about the same grades as if i studied...don't reccommend
This man is the easiest teacher you could ever ask for...How some people fail his EASY tests is beyond me! He gives you the notes verbatim for his 50 question multiple choice tests (easy). All you need to do is go to every class, take his CLEARLY explained supplemental notes, and look at the emailed notes, and you are SET!! Great clss! Easy A!
he's not as bad as people say, yes you do have to study for his tests, but it's not impossible to get a good grade in his class...everything on his tests comes straight from his emailed notes and notes he writes on the board during class...no attendance policy

He is really not as bad as what everyone is saying. He is so willing to answer questions, all tests are based on his emailed notes, and his tests start at 110 points so u can get 5 questions wrong and still get 100. u do have to study but material is only from the notes he GIVES you. He's a good guy, just teaching a horrible uniteresting subject.

Extremely difficult to understand. Tends to talk to himself and studders over his words. Classes can be painful to sit through. Studied day and night for tests and still got a D+. Refuses to have extra credit.
The best part was attendance was not mandatory. First day class was full. 2nd to last day there were seven people. Horribly painful class, and you have to study hard for tests. If I could take someone else I would. It was by the grace of God I passed with a B, and not everyone was so lucky.
He's so confusing. Nice guy, will answer your questions. The class is so boring. He emails you the notes, if you know the notes--you know the exam.

He's a nice guy, but you can't understand what he is trying to say because he doesn't know what he is trying to say. He grades papers randomly, just taking points of for no reason and marking blatent errors as correct. His tests are still hard if you study, and reading a test question is like trying to understand his lecture.
He's really confusing but the class is simple. Do the homework and answer the questions and study the vocab for the tests.

Run far, far away...take the class another semester if he's your only option...boring, disorganized...irrelevant and since you sleep the entire class and the book is terrible...you won't know the material on the tests...I'm a very good student and this was my worst class of my college career b/c he is SO BORINGGGGGGGGGGGGG
These low scores dont lie. He is by the worst prof at the university, avoid him at all costs. You wont understand one word hes saying. Im not even sure he understands what hes saying. Also forget to mention his tests are so hard. Stay away from this man
Honestly, it was a really easy class. I have ab****ely no interest in computers and got an A. I basically read the online notes once the night before the test and aced every one. Taylor is quite scatterbrained and is boring...but no homework, only 4 tests and a final and E.C. on every test..def take him.
Ignore the ignorant comments about Taylor. While he is out there, he presents the material exactly as he tests it. If you take a few notes during his lectures and read over the online-material, there is no reason you should not get an A. I spent about an hour studying for each test and averaged a 102. Easy class, good teacher, great guy!
Professor Taylor...he's an interesting man. A little out there, has trouble speaking, but it kind of keeps class entertaining. He'a a nice guy and I did really well in the class even though I hated the material. Overall, he's not horrible, but definitley not the best.
very nice and kinda funny, but very hard to follow. he confuses himself when he talks, along with the whole class. tests are confusing and hard-every question has a "none of these" answers which throws you off. only class i really struggled with freshman year

Very hard to understand his points in lecture (when he attempts to make them) - he mainly just reads off the course webpage text. His tests are very, very easy - all you have to do it read the online websites. If you can memorize the material, you will get an A in this class. Very nice guy, but knows very little about the subject.
He is a very nice man, but not a very good teacher. The quizzes are okay, but the tests can get very hard.
Absolutely awful, Taylor does not care about your grade, he does not care about your opinion. He doesnt have a cell phone or internet and is therefore impossible to reach. He can barely speak and is the worst teach at the university hands down. He is a disgrace to teaching AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You will regret it I promise.
Nice guy. Impossible class. Highest grade on test was 86. Lowest 30. Everyone gets C's.Out of 75-130 students, he says he's thrilled if 9 get A's. He makes trick questions on purpose. Very hard to understand.
No the worst class in the world. The papers were an absolute nightmare. 4 of them. Quiz every day. Again, not the worst thing in my life.
There's a quiz every class period, which account for extra points on the tests. His tests are really tricky and you really have to pay close attention to the way he words things. Doesn't explain things well and have to teach yourself from the the website. Good luck.
Taking Taylor is like asking for a bad grade. The man makes no sense and talks in senseless circles during class. If you do have him just study, study, study the webpages and try to make sense of what the hell he ever says.
