Teck is funny and understanding. I only wanted to take him for math classes bc he was the only teacher with a teaching style I understood and liked. I had him for all math classes in DeAnza. I totally recommend him.

Mr. Ky was such a great teacher. I took his night class twice a week. We did the labs in class and quizzes in groups. The midterms weren't bad either. If you go to his class and take good notes you should have no problems at all.

No dumb confusing calculators. We use computer which really make things easier. Mr. Ky has this slow and mellow tone of voice which can really make you laugh when makes a joke because he sounds serious. Anyways, he is an excellent teacher just like everyone else are sayiing.

I like math, not necessarily stats. Did well, Mr. Ky is a funny man who loves math. He uses the computer a lot, but seldom explains things. I like him and totally recommend, even if you aren't good in math, you will still pass!!

Mr. Ky wants everyone to succeed and is willing to help you do just that. The text book is a bit lacking so take good notes as all tests are open book/notes. He's funny and uses real life scenarios to get the information across. Teaches how to use the computer to solve problems and does most tests in the lab with the computer. Great Guy!

Cool and funny. Good teacher but sometimes doesn't some explain things because he says he won't test us on it. But what if we want to learn because stats is our major? He likes to use real world esamples which makes the class fun. Don't use calculator in class but computer program. Uses Soler book but only for hw. Gives notes for class material

Teck Ky is a good teacher to have if you are unsure about Math. He makes you work, but is willing to help. He gives many useful examples for each chapter and wants to make sure everyone understands the material.

The best thing about Mr. Ky is that he is approachable, unlike many other math teachers. If he goes over something too quickly or you need more clarification, just ask- he will go over it 10 times if he has to. The book we used for this class was not good so just use his notes and the homework problems for the exams. I definitely recommend him.

mr. key is a golden key to success. he has plenty of gags, although some of them are pretty dumb. he looks like a cute nerd. patient, very patient, our class has a darn bitxh always bothering and being noisy but he still tolerates. no extra credit but fairly easy exam

This teacher is very hard but he grades very good he dose not fail his students if he sees that they are trying unlike other math teacher but if you do not come to class or show him you care he will drop you. Just work hard and you will pass with a C or better. I mean teacher dont want to fail there students if they are trying.

Comparing to other Math teachers, he is considered as an easy grader. Take good notes, it will help in midterms. The textbook probably won't help you much.

I highly recommend Instructor Ky b'cuz he's approachable. Like other students have mentioned attend class and work hard enough Mr.Ky will pass you. Take good notes during lecture b'cuz you'll need them! Quizzes are done with a partner if you choose to, midterms/final exam are OPEN NOTES, collects HW and math lab for additional points.

I kept waiting for the class to get difficult. I hate math, but he made everything so clear and easy to understand. If you can do his examples (not the awful book!) then you can get an A. And you can definitely do it. I got Bs on all tests, but A in class (in summer!!). Labs are stupid, but who cares. Take the class- he makes so much sensor!

He was a good teacher but his final was a killer. Just keep good notes, come to class, and you'll pass. The only thing I didn't like was the book that he uses, the examples are ridiculously hard to relate to. How he works them out is ALOT easier and isn't as confusing. He doesn't assignalot of hw, but the tests are kind of long.

"A" if you come to class and take notes. i didn't have to read the book for clarity. do the hmwrk, some of them will be on the test. open notes open book! he even tells you what is going to be on the exam. just don't cheat or he will yell at you. i hate lab though not good examples to cordinate w/ class..super nice. He selects the HW to really focus on the types of things he is looking for in the tests... all open book/open notes. He chose book becoz it's cheap 4 us!

Fabulous instructor!He really watches out for the students that look confused.He translates the confusing instructions from the book into simplistic steps.U must do your homework though.If you're unable to solve the problems for homework then u will not do well on the tests.The tests are compiled of info similar to the homework.

I must say I was a little dissapointed in the beginning considering Ky is a little boring, quirky and could use some English lessons. But I now would reccommend his class because the open book/note tests are easy and he doesn't try to trick you or ask of anything he did not clearly explain in class. He's a lot better than most math teachers at DA.

I skipped class at the wrong times b/c they were labs and I missed like a 100 pts haha. But overall, his tests are easy esp. the final. He'll totally help you out if you talk to him and he is leniant about hwk, but that's if you have a good reason. This guy loves chicken enchiladas, so cook him some haha. Instructor Ky is simply the BEST. The only thing wrong with his class is the text book he uses. Although his tests are open book and notes don’t rely on that fact, you must know the material well because you won’t have all the time in the world to look up answers. He is a part-timer so there is no office hours. Take him, you won’t regret it.

The best math teacher for stat class. 88% and u get an A in the class. Every test is open book/notes, but there will be 1 or 2 tricky questions, READ carefully. I attended class everyday, took a lot of notes, and did my homework. Got an A in class. Test have no surprises, but Read the questions Carefully!!

Getting an A in this section is definitely more than possible. Keep every handout given to you and do the problems, write out the steps to the examples, and the tests will be no problem. He allows open notes and text book help during tests, there's no surprises in regards to material covered on exams. Fairly helpful and easy to understand.

Easy Class. The key is to show up everyday, sit in the front, and take great notes. Make sure you can read your notes well and that you highlight formulas because you can use those notes on the test. Really helpful on explaining until you understand. He taught better than the book taught. Book was waste of money. Borrow one if you can for HW.

i hate stats...ky made it understandable and i passed! do the hw/labs and go to class. sit in the front and pay attention. have good notes ready for the exams. the second midterm was hard...but stick w/it and you will pass too. he's kinda funny and the class flies by quick especially for a night class! does not take attendance and no quizes.

Mr. Ky is one of the cutest teachers I have met. His humor is just a De Anza experience that everyone needs to go through. I had difficulties in the beginning, but he was so encouraging and always willing to help, so I ended up getting an A in his class! I learned so much! I wish I could take another class with him again.

The book he uses is difficult, get it but get an alternative book as well. Biggest piece of advice, study consistently. The final was tough, we all thought it would be easy, but not so much, just make sure you study for it. Staying consistent with all the material would help most. Class was fun, never not looked forward to going.

He is very chilli and funny. He teaches concepts very clear. Grading system is simple. If you turn in all homework no matter there are mistakes, you will get full credits. Midterm are easy. but it doesn't mean that you dont need to study. each midterm has only 15 questions, so make sure you get all correct!

He is so nice.The grading policy include at least 75 points you can earn extreme easy with doing your homework and the lab. The total point is 450. His first test is easy-I get 93 points, but the second test is really hard but he gave me a chance to make up with 80 points. I study really really hard for the final.and i got an A. love KY.a cool guy!

TECH KY, MY DUDE!!! COOL DUDE. He only teaches late, but if you want to get a good grade in stats or just pass, this is your course. His grading scale is ridiculously curved for you to get a B. A 53% on his exams are C's... Quizzes are group or take home.. I thought I was honestly going to fail but I ended up getting a B. The book is TERRIBLE tho

You really cant hate this guy. He is so sweet and nice and somewhat funny. He tries to help us by giving us multiple choice exams with open book, and lets us turn in homework 3 times a quarter. His grading was ridiculously easy. He tries his best to help us, group quiz. I failed all 3 of his tests and pass the class with the C.

take his class if you want to pass Math 10. every test is open notes and books he loves teaching, his jokes are funny and he knows when his class gets "boring" so he tries to encourage everybody to stay with him. overall fun and great teacher. I hate math! Stats was not easy but it was do-able.He gives you HW which you do not have to turn in until the exams, but you must study and do all assignments if you want to do well.I got all C's on my exams and I studied a lot!1 extra credit assignment. I ended up with a B+ and that was generous of him.Any other teacher would have given me a C.

Oh my lanta! Teck is a G to the max :3 As odd as this sounds, I actually looked forward to going to class, even though it was kindov late at night. He's hilarious and somehow, manages to make math entertaining. Got an A through visiting the lab for extra work often, not lagging on HW, and taking neat, highlighted notes.

Taking his night class. He is always in the lab an hour early to help you out if you need it. His test problems are not very complicated at all, easier than the homework. Stats is not easy to understand, but he breaks it down well and gives good examples.

Teck Ky is seriously one of my favorite professors. I barley got by in all my algebra classes with a C so I was so nervous to take Stats. He made it so easy to understand such a difficult concept and I actually had a fun time learning the material. His grading is fair and is always willing to answer questions. He's super funny too.

I had a very hard time passing Stats10 as i never found the right teacher that explains stats the way prof ky has. It was my third and final attempt at passing and so happy i found him. He is a great teacher that explains it+gives examples and goes step by step. Such a great teacher that has open notes and open book for exams! Clear cut lectures.

Book is useless for formulas but need it for homework. Be in class to take NOTES for better understanding of what he teaches &. he keeps you interested. Office hours is at the math lab & he's very helpful to explain what you don't get. 2 midterms(averages both), final, labs, quizes & hw. Do all those, STUDY & you will pass. GREAT STATS TEACHER!

Your grade depends almost exclusively on two midterms and a final. The homework/labs mean very little. He doesn't try to trick you and everything is straight forward. It's all multiple choice though so no partial credit. Notes allowed on tests so he's prob the easiest stats teacher.

The class is really boring. But if you pay attention through it and take notes, you'll be fine. The tests are super straight forward and he lets you use your notes/the textbook.

Professor Ky obviously cares for the success of his students. On the first day of class, he added everyone on the waitlist. The classroom was packed. Understandably, he cannot grade his math test individual with partial credit and all your test are on scantrons. This makes each question worth a huge part of your grade, so watch out for that.

Mr. Ky took the time to go over the material. He then showed in depth examples on how to do each problem. I liked that he encouraged questions and was able to slow down for students who needed more help. Do take notes as well as they help in exams. Super understanding, and an overall amazing person. Don't miss the opportunity to take his class.

Professor Ky's honestly such an amazing teacher, I wish I could've taken his class in person. He's really nice, caring, and occasionally cracks jokes. There's homework, but he doesn't check or grade it. Your overall grade is solely based off of tests, quizzes, and exams, but they're all open note. As long as you take notes, you'll be fine.

Easy class if you go to his lectures. Unlike other professors, he uses an online program called StatDisk for calculations instead of the TI-84 calculator. StatDisk is much easier to use. There are two midterms and one final. We were using the textbook at first but we stopped using it after the first midterm. Hw is given from worksheets, funny guy!

Prof. Ky is super sweet and kind. Although his classes could be boring at times, you have to remain strong and push through. Paying attention is important and take notes!! Go to his lectures. He has office meetings almost every week so join them to get help. He makes the concepts straightforward and easy to understand. Nice class!

Prof Ky is super chill. Super funny also. Great and easy class if you genuinely pay attention and engage in the material... My only complaint would be the requirement of buying a considerably pricey textbook (forgot.. maybe 50 something) and we rarely even utilized it. Overall, good prof!

Teck is an amazing professor, he really does his best to make it easy for his students. He did make us buy the textbook ($50) we never used it and to pass his class you don't need it. Attend his lectures and everything that will be on the exam/quiz he goes over. Total of 3 exams with 5 small quizzes all open book. Easy A and you actually learn.

Really chill professor. Many homework and take home quiz sheets he gives out, many of the questions (especially true false ones) are copy pasted onto the test. Funny but boring at some times. Uses the book heavily for first week and gradually moves away from it. You stop using it basically after first midterm. Kind of annoying since its worth $50.

I took Professor Ky's online night classes from 6:30pm-8:45pm, on Tuesday's and Thursday's. His materials are very helpful and easy to understand by sending students via email/canvas pdf of each class lesson (1 or 2 chapters per class), homework assignment (amount of homework may vary), quiz (30 questions long), and exam (about 50 questions long).

He emphasizes how much he loves teaching and is always happy to go over something you don't understand. He gives about 5-6 ch quizzes, 2 exams, and 1 final. Exams aren't too hard, most of it are similar from hw/quizzes. He's super encouraging!!

Teck Ky is wonderful. 3 open book/laptop multiple choice exams. Attendance not mandatory, but there are multiple in-class quizzes for completion. Very in-person oriented teacher so don't skip lecture (lecture notes are useless otherwise) Provides free PDF textbook and math software, all hw due on test days, doesn't mind lateness even on test days.

Escaped Cambodian genocide in the 70s and now is a professor at an American Institution. Super cool dude. The online tools he gives you for stats really makes it so easy for you. You wont have to memorize all the formulas. If you get a low grade its really on you.

Professor Ky is really passionate about teaching and always happy to clarify things. The exams are manageable, and the textbook is optional. Using Unstuck ai and attending office hours helped me stay on top of the material.

Only marked attendance for first two weeks. He grades fairly, explains mistakes. Sends online notes for each chapter via email before each class, free textbook for HW (light amt). Little fast during lectures, but will always repeat a topic if you ask. Two (easy) exams, open note. Amazing and friendly teacher, spoiled me for my next courses.

Textbook was free & provided by instructor, 2 tests & final were all 30 questions, provides scantron sheets for you, could be finished within an hr, tests are open book and open note, also can use statdisk/excel on computer, quizzes and hw is graded on participation, explains concepts well, pretty easy class if you try, doesn't use canvas though
