he doesnt really explain the concepts and problems very well, however, he is willing to help students in any way possible. as long as you do the assigned work and read the math book, and go to him if you need help, you will get a decent grade.

Professor Ky is a great instructor. He's clear in his instruction; attempts to reshape his examples so that everyone can understands. He's willing to assist you after class to make sure that you understand the concepts.

Mr. Ky should teach every discipline at EVC. Has a very humanist approach towards his students and is a master of breaking down Calculus: "It's like sugar. If you don't remember what it tastes like, you'd better try it again." Gives lots of extra credit, and he even brought pics of himself when he was in the Cambodian Army -- at 12!! Cool guy

Mr. Ky shows an aptitude for simplifying mathematical concepts in his lectures. Students should read definitions and theorems in text book and do required homework. He generously gives high grades and extra credits. He’s absolutely good as a college teacher.

Teaches Calculus 2 in a way that can be understood. Calc 2 isnt a easy subject but Mr.K made it taught like as if it was basic Alg 2 so it seemed. Professor is always willing to help his students as much as he can.

Mr. Ky was my statistics teacher. He took a hard subject and made it very easy and understandable. I appreciated how he reviewed over each new concept until everyone fully understood it. He was very responsive to us students in answering all of our questions. He keeps the class intresting with his fun goofiness :-)

so daily hw is assigned but due on the day of the exam which is about a month or so. there is a quiz that lets you work in groups of 3 the day before the exam. the exam is pretty straightforward with questions directly from the hw. he is a very random person and has the weirdest stories to tell [fishing with grenades!] highly recommended.

Mr.Ky has the patience for all students.Very generous with his wisdom.His test/final is open book and open notes.You gotta pay attention or u wont understand the weird ass formulas.His gives great analogies to the examples in the book.From comparin food and the probability of gamblin..Great Guy!

Though math is not a very interseting subject, Ky loves to keep his students attention by cracking a lot of jokes. He simplifies the concepts to be better understood by his students. Be sure to ask homework questions if you have them, and be on time. He gets started right away. Quizzes and test are directly from the book and his lectures.

He is very helpful and goes homework the next day in class if you don't understand it. He goes through everything step by step. He gives you practice quizzes that have problems similar to the test and he lets you use a cheat sheet on the test. Attendance is not mandatory, but it's to your own benefit if you go. Recommend taking him he's the best.

If math isn't your thing, like it isn't mine - take Ky! I miserably failed a pre algebra course at evc and weaseled my way into his 11A course. Just finished stats with a B and am forever done with math. You have to put in the effort to earn your grade(no easy A) but he teaches in a way that stimulates a good/easy learning environment. Not a hard class at all if you just pay attention and take notes. You can use a page of notes on your tests, and after about a week of class he doesn't really take attendance. He's really funny too. He's a great teacher, definitely take him, even if you don't like math.

One word HILARIOUS, Mr. Ky is so funny, passionate, and patient. He lectures in a way that even the less talented in math can fully understand it. He does require alot of homework but is lenient on the due dates; just don't fall behind on the DAILY homework assigents. He has about 4 Exams including a 2 part final, and allows 1 cheat sheet per exam, other math teachers won't allow this. Highly recommend him.

Calc 1 is NOT an easy A with Ky. Granted, he is probably more easy going than the other evc professors but by no means will you put no effort and pass. His tests are pretty hard and even with a cheat sheet, you HAVE to do the homework and put hours and hours into studying.

Math 13 is a hard class. This teacher is fair unlike some teachers who secretly give lower scores at Evergreen Valley College. It took alot of studying for me to pass this class.

Hardly any good teachers exist on this campus but Ky is a rare find. I got C's but i could care less about math.

I took Ky for MATH 063 for a semester and he was more than helpful! His class is very easy to pass, that is if you attend every class session because he does in fact go over new material everyday. I would have got an A easily if I studied for his easy tests, but I got a B. Still happy!

An easy going teacher and will drop 3 quizzes. A word of warning though, those of you comming from math classes that uses the TI83/84, he wont allow those calculators. Instead, he wants you all to get the Casio FX-115MS. Sucks I know :c I spent good money on my TI84 silver. I didn't want to have to get another one.

Ky is a genuinely good teacher. He explains each step in a problem and allows students to ask questions. His teaching helped me understand concepts I struggled with in high school. There are only 3 major tests in the course of the semester and they aren't hard, especially if you do the homework and pay attention during lectures.

He can be all over the place during lecture but he explains every step when ever he goes through problems and also reviews if you don't remember past learnings from lower classes. Professor Ky is amazing!! A bit unorganized writing the notes on the board. But he still explains everything very well. He tries to connect every math problem to the real life which is hilarious. His class is really fun. Not strict on attendance or tardiness. But like every other math class you don't want to miss a class to not be lost.

Hardest freakin' stats class I've ever taken. But I really enjoyed being in Ky's class! His jokes are kinda lame but you can't help but chuckle. He really tries to clarify in his lectures but stats is that kind of math that sounds like another language. DO YOUR HW! That is the only reason I passed his class.

I was a tutor in the same time I took his class in the same subject because I had to take Calculus 1. He's a very clear teacher. He sometimes struggles with tough questions. Teck is an amazing and nice professor. He will answer all your questions. Tests are easy, but make sure to do your homework since it's open noted (for MATH 63, not sure about the other course). Attendance is optional, but highly recommended. Homework are due after each test, so you will have a good amount of time to finish it (one test/month).

Teck is a great professor. He is a super nice guy and really tries to help you understand the work. He does his best so that everyone can understand and is always asking if anyone needs help. My experience in professor Kys class is amazing his lectures are pretty easy because he makes his lectures come to life by talking about how math is used in our daily lives. As for the homework, he gives you a packet that has all of the assignments that are due at every exam day. His exams are multiple choice and he lets you have 1 page of notes.

Homework is due on test days and exams are open note/open book. He tells you what's going to be on the test so take good notes and u will do well. He is also friendly, funny, and wants his students to succeed

he's the best professor ive had . Even though he sometimes made mistake cause of aging, he's very hilarious with his 'BANG' joke and so on lol. I would love to attend his lecture again. And for alot of homework? Bruh i took a 25hours/week job and still able to finish all of his homework while maintaining an A

I love Professor Ky! He was really good at explaining statistics and if you don't understand anything, he is willing to help you. Tests and quizzes were open notes and open textbook, as long as you show up to class and take good notes, you'll get an A! He's also a really kind professor that cares about his students. Definitely take his class.

I think he's a great teacher for anyone who needs a teacher to be thorough and slow with explaining. If you have ADHD like I do, then I wouldn't recommend him. I always ended up teaching myself at home because the pace of his teaching at school just left my mind wandering off the whole time. If your attention is average or good then he's amazing!

It has been a great opportunity to be a part of this amazing class. I had a really good time. I really enjoyed the way you explained everything to us with all the different analogies, it made class fun and light. Despite being in such a difficult situation you managed to teach us so well. I had a great time, I loved being in the class.

Explains concepts in a practical and relatable manner. Good real world examples. His teaching pace is slow. But he breaks it down. Show up to class, do the homework, ask questions, study. He is very accessible and helpful! And Exam content is very similar to homework. He is good for those that usually have a hard time with Math classes.

Professor Teck Ky really wants his students to succeed. He is a great teacher for newbies in math. Sets more emphasis on understanding concepts over memorizing equations. You will not regret taking his class.

I'm glad that I took Intro to Stats class with Professor Ky. Make sure to take note of what he wants you to remember because he will definitely ask, and it's nice to have the answer. Try your best to stay on track with the homework; there are many problems to go through. You need to stay strong throughout the class; trust me, it's rewarding.

I cannot express enough how great of a teacher Teck is! He genuinely cares about his students, rather than memorizing he wants you to truly learn. You can ask him a million questions over and over and all he cares about is making sure it makes sense to you and will always help. One of the best i've ever had, do yourself a favor and take his class!!

Awesome professor, one of the best math instructors at EVC. Wants you to succeed and doesn't intentionally make your life harder, unlike some other professors.

He's a good professor, I'm not the best at math but I tried my best and Professor Ky was always there to help me. He is genuinely one of those professors that cares about helping his students succeed and learn. 10/10 would take again.

He only grades 3 exams and a final. The quizzes are very easy if you do the practice problems. If you're looking for a interesting professor to get to know, Ky is just for you. He has many interesting stories to share, although he often gets off topic. He is a very kind and caring professor and tries to help you understand when you're struggling.

Here's the thing. Very understanding and caring professor and tries his best to help students. But honestly, I felt I didn't learn much because we didn't go much in depth and relied heavily on technology to solve problems. So class consisted of plugging in numbers to the computer. Ive had Prof. Ky twice for different courses and hes definitely one of the best professors Ive ever had in my college experience! He has a very nice sense of humor and he makes it easier for the student to understand his teachings! Would definitely recommend him to my friends!

I had Professor Ky for precalculus. He can go fast in his lectures/lessons so it's best if you raise your hand if anything to slow him down or clarification is needed. There was only 3 exams and 1 final for the semester and he gives you time to catch up with assignments to submit until the day of the exam. He's a solid teacher :)

one of, if not the best prof in math department. Super hilarious, his lectures are good but kind of get off track with personal stories sometimes but it helped to stay focused. Tests aren't hard if you study and allow for a one-sided cheat cheat on midterms and complete two-sided sheet on final. Dont be scared to ask questions, hes eager to respond

Chill teacher. He's really funny and his lectures aren't very boring. Other than the fact that his class was early in the morning, he is a very good teacher. Your grade in the class is very dependent on tests, and he doesn't give many graded assignments.

The class material by the nature of the subject is heavy. Even so Teck Ky explains the material well and will help students answer the questions or difficulties they are having with problems. Although he will help you it is very important to do the homework. The repetition will help you cement the understanding of the problems in your mind.

Professor Ky is the only math class and math teacher I actually enjoyed having! Make sure you go to class, because his lectures have a TON of information. He let's you use your laptops, open notes and open book for the tests, which help a lot. Highly recommend taking his class if you struggle with math.

i highly recommend professor ky for math 063! make sure to pay attention and come to class every day, he has super informative lectures. he's very funny and always willing to answer questions and do homework problems. very enjoyable class overall!

To start take everything with a grain of salt cause I took him in summer so from what I understand its a lot more different in regular good reason to take him is a 60% is a C- in his class so that gives you a reason to take him but no extra credit or late work only things that matter r 2 exams and da final. hk was rare in his class. use TOOLS ;)

The class was easy, lectures were satisfactory. I didn't show up to many because the organic chem tutor would teach me everything in 30 mins, but when I had a question I'd show and he helped me with it.

Prof Teck Ky is one of the best and kindest I could asked for. His ways of teaching is simple yet make the lessons become easy. His tests are the easiest if you attend the classes, especially the week before because he always tell us literally everything on the exam. Hope to study with him again some days.

if u hate math, taking his class will make u love math. he is super helpful and willing to answer each and everyone with the understanding form that make his class always full because he make the class enjoyable and relaxing. highly recommended !!!

professor made the subject matter (beginning statistics) understandable. I had to take lots of notes, but it helped, I was really excited to earn a "B" here.

He is really chill, kind, will review homework if you ask him to, if you are having problems then he help you, and is also a really funny guy.

tests were hard so i had to study a lot. allows one page cheat sheet on tests. 3 tests. he gives quiz every weds but u can work in groups & use notes so it was easy. kinda gives a lot of hw. his lectures are amazing and he explains math well. if u work hard youll get an A. A is 88%. tip: get ti-84 calculator for derivatives

Super duper easy class, especially if taken during the summer. Doesn't make you memorize any formulas, he just makes you use a website that calculates everything for you.

Professor Teck is good at teaching Calculus. He goes over homework problems and is very straightforward, although it sometimes does get boring, he does teach well. Be prepared for HW as it sometimes is a lot and is much more difficult than the exams. I had to drop out due to outside circumstances but please take him!!

Professor Ky is a good teacher. He goes over everything thoroughly during lectures. The math itself isn't too difficult and most of the time you use an online program, statdisk, to calculate stuff, so the main difficulty is just remembering what operations to use. There were three tests plus homework. Overall, I'd recommend his class!

The best professor I have ever seen in my life. His explaining method is excellent. Also, his lectures are effective for the basics. I wish he could take Math 72. He is very respected and a nice person too.

failed the 1st & 2nd exam with a 50% and 54%. Did all the Homework and take home quizzes tho! Don't be scared if you are in a similar situation, I ended up with a B, after getting a high grade on the final.After calc 1 and 2 I realized you have to self teach yourself 80-90% of the material to understand it! DO NOT RELY ON TEACHERS to learn!

Professor Teck's Calc class is challenging but doable if you put in the work. The lectures can move quickly, so staying on top of the material and using resources like unstuck study AI for study prep is key. Overall, a tough but worthwhile course.

He wants to see all his students succeed, this was the second class I took with him. His lectures will prepare you best to do the homework but the biweekly quizzes are the best tool to study for the tests. He always answer any homework and quiz questions, so make sure to come to class prepared with questions.

His lectures are also easy to understand on top of that, he is also funny. gives review sheets before exams that are similar to exams.
