Dr. Barker is Awesome!!! The best teacher I had at OW! He teaches in a way that is so easy to understand. As long as you go to class and listen to his lectures, you'll do good!! I would recommend to anyone to take his class!!!

All we did all semester was eat cookies from WAL-MART and do take home tests. I got an A and didnt even open the book twice. Class is a blast. ENJOY!!!!

Pretty easy, laid back teacher. Tests and handouts were a little difficult, but he lets you argue your answers so that you get points back. You dont really need to study, if you come to class each day and do all the homework you will get an A. I would definitely recommend him.

I took both of these classes text based and they were AWESOME!! When you're taking the take home tests you are freaking because they're hard but the mid-term and final are a piece of cake.. This class was by far way easier than I expected! Dr. Barker is also VERY flexible if you can't take the mid-term's on time... Even when you call at the last minute

MR. Barker was a really grat teacher because he wasn't too concerned about the whole grades thing-- just how much you actually learned. If you can keep up with the practice tests, it is really easy to get an A.

Dr. Barker is a remarkable instructor. I took him Distance Learning, the entire semester consisted of 3 take-home tests (300-350) questions. Yes, it was tedious work, but I learned alot, and you don't have to take any in-class regular tests. Highly recommend taking him!!! Very easy to get an A if you do the work assigned. Great smile, too!

Dr. Barker is one of the best instructor at OWC for Psychology. He believes that psychology is always changing and know one has all the right answers. You can learn alot from his class. I am going to take his other class, Human Growth &Development. Warning..Stay away from Dr Senzig.

The best teacher ever! I've had him for Psych, Hmn Growth & Devl, & Personal Adjustment...both in class and distance learning. Distance learning is Very easy (2 take home tests then midterm, 2 more take homes, then final). But take his class in person if possible. VERY knowledgable and great fun throughout!!!

I really enjoyed going to his class twice a week. He's so interesting, and very easy going. I could listen to him for hours and not get bored. I was recommended to take him, and I'd say him and his class, were all it was cracked up to be! He knows his stuff, and he's great! Take him!

I have to agree that I'm not sure I will have learned a whole lot, but what I did will at least stay with me longer than the teachers who preach from the text. 8 take homes (easy) and 2 in class tests (out of notes word for word). Go to class!

Took him for DEP2004 online.Gives you two take home test 100 questions each you have months to do them and you go in and take an essay test if you study the case studys in the back you will do great because the case studies are the test! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLASS!!

Take him for phyc, not Sinseg, TRUST ME, he's much easier. his distance learing classes are quiet easy, the whole semester is on 300 mutiple choice. they're time consuming, but not hard. Great teacher I took this DL and got an A. Consisted of two take homes, a mid term and a final. He grades on a curve due to your lack of ability to gain bonus points in class like his in-class students can.

I took this as a distance learning class and it was fairly easy. He gives a take home quiz 150 questions and you do that with the book. You really have to read the material to answer the questions becuase some are scenario questions. Mid/finals are right from the material/outline he gives you to study from.

A very good good teacher all around. kept class interesting. almost always wears shirts with mickey mouse on them, hes cool.

Dr. Barker is an amazingly easy teacher. If you go to class you cant fail and you dont even have to listen but it helps. His tests are all take homes and he grades them in class and gives them back to you. Then you and the class go over the answers to try to argue points back, and his average points back is 10 just depend on how well you can argue

Amazing easy teacher. If you go to class you cant fail. He only has given us two tests(mid-term/Final). But other than that his tests are really just essays, most of them only half to a full page. Real EASY. The worst part about the class was one of his movies, but as a guy i really didnt need to see a live birth. But dont let that drive you away.

I took Dr. Barker's online psychology class. He was really good at responding to my questions over e mail and a generally cool guy. As long as you study a little bit for the mid-term and final, its an easy A.

All you have to do is go to class. He is an highly intelligent instructor and you'll learn alot while haveing fun. I wish he taught all my classes.

the best professor you will ever take. ive had him for psyc and hg&d. both are very easy. in hg u get written essays for grades and a few take home test. psyc is opposite. also on a test you can argue your view of the question and if you have a good explanation he will give you points back. easy A+, just take notes off board they are the mid/final

I love Dr. Barker so much, his class was amazing. He's so helpful and passionate about what he teaches. The only thing I'd like to change is the difficulty. I learned a lot, but overall it was easy and I would have liked more of a challenge. I will definitely will go to any other classes he teaches though, he's a great professor.

Awesome guy and FUNNNY! He doesnt make you feel like your just another class, i never checked the clock, he made it fun, never felt i was in school. About 8 take home tests, 2 short written assignments that are opinion based and one midterm and final exam. you debate points back on ALL tests! Learned alot, and gets you interested in the subject.

Awesome! Love his class. The material is notoriously unclear & always changing so some people get frustrated but Dr. Barker tries to make it as black & white as it can get. He's funny, kind and interested in his students. Discussions are great in class & he's always up for a debate. Great atmosphere in class & can't wait to take his PSY class.

Dr. Barker is an amwazing teacher. All our Final was a take home test. TAKE NOTES! You midterm and final will be on the notes he writes on the board and what he elaborates on. If you do the work, you'll get an A. One day we got to bring 3-5 yr olds to class for Paiget's congitive tasks, super easy extra credit!

This professor is a definite good one. There is a lot of action in the everyday class so it isn't one in which you will ever fall asleep. He is helpful and even though the tests are hard and time consuming he lets you argue points back so show up to class. As long as you show up to class and put a decent amount of effort into it, you will be fine.

Took this distance learning and it was pretty easy and straightforward. Lots of reading/finding answers in your readings and two tests on campus, which all questions come from his chapter questions, so just need to review those before test and you'll have no problem in this class.

Dr. Barker's DL Psych class was an easy class to take. You get your entire workload the 1st day of the semester & everything is due one week prior to your final. Everything is open book, open note, which is nice. YOU DO NEED to read the book in order to pass. I also had him for Human Growth & Develpment, class is set up same on DL. Recommend!

This teacher really tries to relate to his students, grades fairly & even offers extra credit to help boost your grade if u have a situation and need a little bit more time, he's very understanding with ALLof his students! Id take any class that he taught even if I didn't need it bc that's how amazing of a teacher he truly Is :-D

He is a great teacher (I am currently in his class), and his classes seem very short because he does a great job entertaining you. I feel as if I am definitely learning the material and (most importantly) understanding the material. He makes the class interesting, and his take-home tests actually are a wonderful way to quiz us on the not-so-fun.

If you don't pass his class, you are not giving even minimum effort. I took Barker for Psychology and Human Growth and Development and made As in both of his classes. Your main grade is tests and sometimes he lets you take them home. You have a chance to get points back if you argue your side for the question. He is nice and helps you pass.

I took his online Human Growth and Development class. The course is very easy but a little time consuming. He gives optional extra credit which is nice and sends out a study guide for the exit exam. Very easy A.

Dr. Barker is great. His class is mainly 10 take home tests, modules, a midterm, a final take home, and an exit exam. All are really easy and he allows you to argue back points on take homes and the mid-term. He is really funny and cares about his students' educations. He's great online and in-person and I'm taking a third class with him again.

OH MY GOODNESS!! BEST PSYCHOLOGY TEACHER IVE EVER HAD!! Really simple and easy. You can argue your points back on the take home quizzes and midterm. He's hilarious and very interactive in class. He will help you in anyway possible. I'm definitely going to look at other classes he teaches and take some.

He told us on the first day of class that we'd pass as long as we attended classes, completed the modules (quizzes online, only complete when 40 questions answered correctly, open book), and the tests (almost weekly, open book). Take notes, midterm was on the lectures in class, and we were allowed to use notes for the midterm. One month til finals.

Dr. Barker is definitely one of the top ten best professors at NWFSC. He only assigns take home tests which are always 30 multiple choice questions. If you show up for class on the due date, you will most likely get anywhere from three to ten points back (made greater than a 100% most of the time). The online modules are easy A's as well.

Mr. Barker is an ideal professor. He is totally professional and wise, yet keeps his class interesting and fun to learn in. He really set the bar high on what to expect out of a college level instructor. I would suggest him for Psych, Human Growth and any other course he teaches.

THE most relaxed teacher. Very chill guy. If you need to miss a class here and there, you can. He doesn't count attendance and he'll let you make up work that you missed. There is online homework to keep up with and there are take home tests once a week that are kind of challenging but he lets you gain points back for ones missed! Definitely easy A

I took Dr. Barker for Psychology, and I'm going to take him for Human Growth because it was such a great class. He helps you get to know other students, so you can make friends. There were online quizzes with easily accessible answers on online book & takehome tests that were basically graded on a curve. Final was easy if you studied a little.

Hes someone you can talk with and you can tell he genuinely wants you to succeed.

Hes not only an easy teacher to have but hes also a good teacher. He knows his stuff. He lets you out early from class too. Lectures arent hard just make sure to take notes in class because theyll help you out in the long run with tests. He gives extra credit on tests too, so theres no reason not to pass his class

He gives you a take home test every week and when you grade them you get to argue points back (super helpful) i have him for pay2012 and dep2004 and i would take another course with him if there was one available. course was a breeze 10/10 do it!

I took him for his online Personal adjustment class, Psychology and Human Growth and Development . He definitely doesnt disappoint and a very good teacher. I adored his teaching style and loved how he gave us take home test and we could argue points back for the ones we missed. His exit exam is stupid easy, he basically gives you the answers to it

I took this class online, and after hearing about Prof. Barker's teaching style I wish I had the opportunity to take his class in person. The online course was great though! Psychology is a very interesting subject, and I learned a lot. If you need some credits to fill a gap, I highly recommend this class.

One of the easiest classes ever, but he's also a great teacher. Had take home tests every weekeend, but had a chance to argue back points when we'd come back to class. Always let out early and the final was simple as well if you studied the little notes we had to actually take. Interesting class, take him- you won't regret it.

This class was an easy A. He always releases early. Take home tests almost every weekend, but fairly easy. Professor Barker is straightforward and simple.

There were only four discussion posts and four quizzes to take before the final. I probably could have gotten the entire class done in a week. Although there are plenty of interesting lectures posted, I didn't need to watch any of them to pass the class. I pretty much skimmed through the book and got an A in the class. Easy A!

The down part of class was reading everything in the chapter. The good part only 4 discussion questions and 4 quizes. I found the quizes a little hard. You have to really understand the material to understand the questions. Even with me honestly rushing to read 3 chapters in 2 days I made a A-. Its also a work at your own pace class.

I would recommend his Human Resources online class. I learned alot, it was fun and enjoyable. Do the work and you will pass this class.

His lectures are fun. Show up and you will get an A. He's extremely intelligent and his class is very straightforward.

I didn't know what to expect from Personal Adjustment but this class was CAKE. Really all he graded us on was 12 very easy quizzes (open book and you could take them multiple times) and a couple discussion posts. It took little to no effort and a lot of the information was common knowledge, especially if you are even remotely familiar w/psychology.

Keeps lectures fun and interesting! Graded by a few discussion boards and quizzes you take in class. Highly recommend him to anyone

He is really really patient and wants all of his students too pass. If you do the lectures and read the book its that simplework and pass the class. You can work ahead if youd like, and he grades things on a wonderful timely manner. If you are looking for an easy class and a great teacher. 10/10 recommended.

Dr. Barker is one of my favorite professors! He doesn't waste your time overcomplicating things and gives you everything you need to succeed. He gives you everything you need to make an A. Not to mention he talks to you like you're a friend and has actual conversations with you. One of the best professors at NWF.

Dr. Barker is a very chill professor. I took the class online and he opened all the content for the whole semester so I was able to do it at my own pace and finish a couple of months early. It has a few discussions, which helps raise your grade, and the quizzes are just multiple choices questions. Overall would recommend.

Super awesome! Understanding when i had to miss class. super supportive! i actually hated when i had to miss class, because i loved Dr. Barker. he is by far one of the best professors i have ever taken. super relatable to students and super funny! 100% recommend he even will let you retake a quiz if you don't get a good grade.

I took this class online and we were able to work at our own pace for the most part. Only about 9 graded assignments but if you read the chapters and his notes it's easy to pass!

The final was online and only 25 questions plus he went over the answers on the last day of class. Highly recommend him, show up to class and you'll get an A.

Dr Barker's class was super fun and interactive! Everything is straightforward; all tests, discussion posts, and quizzes are online. He does cool class activities that accompany the material, and his lectures are easy to understand. I definitely recommend his class to anyone going into the Psychology field or just to get an easy credit!

If you need to take DEP2004 take it with Dr. Barker. The class is completely self paced and he allows you to take tests and quizzes two times if needed.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!! Came off maternity leave with 3 toddlers at home and took his class. I was very nervous but he was very helpful, respectful and a very fun professor. Hands down thee best with NWFSC! Would recommend for psy & human growth and development

Human growth and development online, lectures were on YouTube and easy to follow along with. Only complaint is the lecture chapter titles in YouTube did not always line up with quiz chapter titles so I was a little confused on that but between all the videos, all the information is there. Reasonable homework and discussion boards.

He is very easygoing and gives you all the information you need to get an A in the class. There are just a few quizzes and discussions.

Dr. Barker was my expert for my Collegiate capstone project. He was extremely helpful and understanding. He lets you learn what you need to get a good grade in the class, he makes it easy and interesting. He also cares about each student and was very good with names. Classes lasted no longer than 45 minutes.
