He's rather new, but he really knows what he's talking about. Lectures are a little fuzzy sometimes, but he loves to help you out if you have a problem. Tests are difficult, but you're alright if you study a bit. He puts all his notes in the library :)
He is a sweetheart!!!!!!!
If you go to class you won't even need to buy the expensive book. Also he puts all of his lecture notes in the library. Lectures are easy to follow and everything on the test is taken from his lectures. A little akward but helpful and nice. Offers e.c.
I felt this class was all of the place. His lectures were unclear, but his posted notes helped clear things up. He was a very nice guy and helpful
Very nice teacher but not the most interesting lectures. You shouldn't need to buy the book cus his lectures cover all the test material in as much as depth as you will need to know. He doesn't require attendance, but i recommend going.
Crazy lil' mad scientist...His tests aren't that difficult plus he has all his notes online and he even gives out about 12 points of extra credit each test! So, don't worry about class, just worry about making it to the tests!
Oh Teddy, he really cares about his students doing well and is always willing to help you.
Hes sorta new, but he tried really hard. His first tests were unclear, but he started putting notes on blackboard and in the library to help out. He also fixed unclear test questions. No curve, though, so study up.
Too vague, and doesn't even explain anything. He just points out and says "Oh this is a good incision, guys come over here"
This professor is soooo nice. He is willing to go out of his way to help you do well in his class. He is probably one of the most understanding professors at Bradley and that says a lot.
The best teacher for Bio 203. If you ever have any questions, he will try his best to answer them and help you get an A in the class.
i think this man is absolutely amazing! very helpful and good looking nerdy guy! i suggest taking him if you have the option!
first time he has taught it. he is really nice and helpful. don't buy the book, just go to class and study your notes. his tests are very reasonable
The best teacher I ever had. Thank god he's teaching a class I am taking next semester too. Such a nice guy with a great passion for teaching.
Pretty easy teacher. tests are not bad if you study the notes. sometimes he gave extra points to people who showed up for class (especially if barely anyone was there) there's an EC opportunity at the end. overall good teacher... i recommend him.
There is almost no homework assigned in this class, and he doesn't use the book. As a result, you actually have to go to class. He is a great professor, though.
Fleming is adorable. his enthusiasm for biology shows in every class. You cannot help but love him and his antics. Enjoy his class.
I LOVE Teddy!!! He is a good professor because he is so interested in microbiology and he is so intelligent. He is hilarious also; he says really funny things...my roomate and I started a quote board full of all the weird but funny things he says everyday! I reccoment him but take good notes!!!
Flemming is awesome he is the nicest teacher you'll meet at bradley. Sometimes he skips around in his notes during class but if you pay attention you'll be able to put it together later. And he's more than willing to clarify something if you don't understand. He's really good in lab too. It's ea
GREAT prof!! I wish I could have had him for all of my Bio's!
He really is kinda cute & funny. Take him for a J-term or summer. The classes are small and he is incredsibly attentive. I wish I wasn't done w/ BIO. I liked him. He's smart & really knows his stuff - his notes are a little unorganized though.
Hard class
The first test is easy the rest aren't. The test are kind of difficult even if you study. GO TO CLASS because his notes are not very helpful, they're not very detail.
Quality instructor - smart and funny, manages to show all material but has to do it quickly due to the nature of the lab. The only reason the lab can be considered hard is that he can only do demonstations to small groups. A lab assistant would help.
He's a really nice guy and you can tell he loves what he does. If you're confused, he is very helpful if you ask questions. All his notes are on Blackboard but you should still go to the class so he can explain them. Overall, I think he's a good teacher and I would recommend him in the future.
He's just so excited about it.... He also always puts his power point presentations up on blackboard if someone asks him to; it's very helpfull.
omg. he is so excited about biology. it's hilarious. he puts the notes up online, but you still need to go to class and take extra notes to clarify them. there is an extra credit project that is really easy. he also sometimes gives extra credit if you show up for class on a day when a lot of people don't. not that bad if you go to class.
This class sucks so bad and is REALLY hard, but Teddy Bear almost makes it fun! He's got a sick sense of humor about the cats which helps keep you from gagging! Such a nerd but SO nice! If you ever need help, all you have to do is ask and he'd spend FOREVER clarifying it for you! He honestly cares about his students doing well. I HEART Fleming!
This class was so easy, but I still learned a lot! The lectures were easy to understand. He put notes for each chapter, and a study guide for each test, online (with Blackboard.) It made studying so much easier. He is very nice, and even had an extra study session outside of class for two of our tests. I highly recommend him.
This teacher is very hard. I have taken two classes with him and I have dropped both. You decide.
Theodore is a tool. His tests suck his lectures suck his lab sucks.
I have taken both Bio 121 and Bio 202 with Fleming and I STILL don't understand his teaching style! I studied his study guides and all suggested material and I still felt that I never knew what was going on. Really nice guy, but his class is confusing..
Best professor I've had at BU in 3 years! If you're not a BIO major and need to pick up a science class, this is your teacher! His enthusiasm creates a very interesting class. More than fair. Extremely helpful, just ask. Brings BIO topics home to real life application. Take him, he's great! A+++
to all non-science majors- take this guy! he understands that you dont like science. has notes and study guides on blackboard- no need to buy the book. the material can be a bit confusing when he gets off topic- but is totally willing to help out with questions. there was an extra credit project in my class too!
This is an extremely hard teacher. He is very nice but doesn't understand that some people do not understand science. He flies through the material.. I would highly recommend not taking him unless you have to.
He is very helpful, just ask him a question and he will not only answer but go over all relating material. i would recommend him in a heart beat. just go to class and u will do fine on the exams and even then if u don't go just go in the night before and u can learn all the material and still get an a.
The material is hard to understand, and sometimes he does not explain it that well. But if you ask questions he will help. Some of his tests are hard to understand, but if you come to class he will give extra credit quizes that can raise your grade. So GO TO CLASS.
He is a great teacher...pretty funny at times...he will definitely help you out if you need it. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
They save a section of his for nursing major. Does not teach, he reads off the powerpoint. DONT BUY BOOK. You dont use it once. Dont need to go to class. I started going towards the end for extra credit. study power points and you should get Cs on test. Alot of info to study. Hard class
Great teacher. He loves the material and wants you to love it too. Very helpful and fair. Gave extra credit quizes randomly which helped a lot of people's grade.
He has good intentions and is genuinely excited about what he's teaching, but isn't very clear at times. He is very helpful, also. I would recommend him over any other bio teacher.
He is the best teacher that I have had at Bradley this far. It made biology fun and interesting. The class is a lot of work, but he is always willing to help whenever you need it. Take Ted's class he is awesome!
Very good teacher! He's pretty easy to follow if you GO TO CLASS and if you study enough his tests aren't horrible. He is really into his subject so that makes it better! I highly recommend this teacher!
It's a hard class but he will answer any question till you understand and even move back the test. He gives extra credit!! He puts notes and slides on black board but still-GO TO CLASS!! He's awesome-period.
Lectures are pretty boring. Professor seems nice. Tests are not very clear.
He's very very nice n if u need extra help he'll help. He's very confusing. He goes fast n forgets to tell u things sometimes. He'll say stuff isnt important n dont worry about it but then he puts it on the test. His tests are hard and confusing. Dont buy the book ive never even opened it. He randomly gives extra credit quizzes if ur in class.
You can tell that he is enthusiastic about what he teaches, but sometimes he doesn't explain things well. If you ask questions, however, he is very helpful, and will even push the test back. If you go to class and read the book, you will do well.
Obviously loves what he does, but is a terrible lecturer. Boring. Spends too much time telling us what we supposedly do not need to know, then puts it on the test anyway. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK: it is worthless.
I love him! Read the powerpoints and notes. Look at the numbers in them, he puts them on tests. Go to study sessions! He answers any ?s. He gives random extra credit quizes (25 points total all semester) so attend class! He goes into more detail than necessary but its not on test if he says its not. Understand general concepts. Very Helpful!
Extremely kind and helpful. He puts things in ways you can understand. I choose any section with him as the teacher. Don't slack off in this class.
He is the best professor--even though his class is very difficult. He spends a LOT of time outside of class helping students and is a nice funny guy to talk to.
i had him for 122 also. Great teacher. If you do not understand something go to his office hours, he is very helpful there. The tests are tricky but I was able to pull off an A in both the classes. Study the notes and powerpoints on blackboard for the test. I recommend this teacher.
Super easy gen ed class! I had little interest in the subject but if you study his notes and pay attention, you'll get at least an A or B. He's also very helpful. Go to the study sessions..he answers all questions about the test. DON'T BUY THE BOOK!! Trust me, you never use it. Go to class, the extra credit quizzes really boost your grade.
I took this class as a j-term and it rocked! He is really funny and knows what he is talking about. He kept classes short and kept our interest. Smart, funny, nice, and helpful! Highly recommended. Oh, and do not buy the book! He flat out tells you not to buy the book.
Such a useful teacher! He is always willing to help you, and is usually available at convienent times. He almost always pushes tests back, so he never has to rush through the power points. Although, going to lecture really is mandatory. He gives so much extra information during lecture that you really need to go.
Hard intro bio class but Fleming is a really good professor who is always willing to help outside of class. Gives extra credit quizzes in class so go!
Fleming is a really helpful professor but the material is hard! Tests are hard. Going to class is necessary because of the amount of material.
He is very enthusiastic about the material and always willing to help. The class was somewhat difficult, but if you study hard and really learn the material you will do well.
Class is interesting if you are going into Nursing. Sometimes he has to rush through powerpoints because of time restraints. Study hard for tests (they are hard) and go to class (extra credit quizzes!). Some material is comprehensive. Book helps.
Nice guy, terrible prof. He talks n talks about something and u ask him a ? and he'll say its not important. Tests are hard, random, and confusing. I get good grades and almost got a C in the class. The only thing that helps is the extra credit quizzes if u go to class. I got C's on every test but forgot about one, didnt study, and got an A.
T-Flem is always willing to help you out if you are struggling. I do recommend him to students who are either Biology majors or Nursing majors.
Fleming is the best professor to take for this lab. It's a hard lab, ton of memorization. Fleming was always willing to help. Great Guy!!
Boring class, boring lecture. Gives you a ton of information that he says you won't need to know for tests or any assignments but he tells you anyway. Posts all notes and PowerPints online, they're all straight from his lecture so there is almost no reason to go to class. Just read and understand his notes and you should be good.
Awesome teacher! Genuinely cares if students get the material, willing to go over it as many times as you need to. Organized, knowledgable, loves students, great sense of humor. Highly recommend him. Wish all instructors were up to his standard. Take him, you won't be sorry!
Pretty good teacher, has powerpoints online before every class. Ask for clarification to help yourself. He goes kinda fast though powerpoints
T. Flem is the bomb! He is a dorky, silly guy but that's what makes his class fun! You definitely need to go to other sections of the class to learn everything though. His tests are completely practical, which most people aren't used to. Ask LOTS of questions, you'll get all the answers you need.
Take him over Stover. He offers study sessions and alot of office hours, he genuinely cares about his students and wants us to learn. He presents the material in a clear way and takes time to answer questions. He is super nice and helpful and approachable. I have Stover so I can't say if Fleming's tests are easy or hard. TAKE HIM!
He is super helpful and offers a ton of review sessions. Sometimes his lectures are a little confusing because he goes off on his own tangents and talks about random things. But he does give these stupid analogies for everything that help a lot.
Tests aren't easy and you will need to work for an A on them. Dont buy the book, I got an A by just reviewing his Study guides and Power Points. He gives a ton of extra credit quizzes in class so try and go to every class because you never know when hes going to give them!
My favorite teacher at Bradley! Had him for microbiology &immunology and A & P lab. He's funny, nice, and extremely smart. Challenging classes, but he's very helpful!
Very good teacher. I always like listening to him. He draws a lot of helpful diagramsa and charts and shows clips and movies that helped me a lot. I would reccomend him. Study the powerpoints for tests! very helpful in review sessions
So happy I have him - always willing to help! He prepares study guides notes and powerpoints and highlights things in red and thats what we know what will be on the test. You have to be on crack to get a C in this class.
Best teacher in the ENTIRE world. extremely helpful, and funny too. material isn't too bad, but not easy (c'mon..its micro!) you have to work for the grade you want. you can't just memorize the material, you have to understand it. definately my favorite teacher though.
Best teacher I have had so far! TFlem genuinely cares about every student succeeding in his class and will spend as much time as you need going over lectures. Take him if you can!!
AMAZING professor! I would recommend him to anyone. The class itself is very challenging but he is very enthusiastic about this subject!
Such a nice professor! Probably my favorite one so far. Test are extremely challenging. Definetly have to work hard for an A or B. Class interesting but hard, great professor!
This man is simply amazing. It is not easy to get an A, but if you just work with him, go to office hours, and ask questions as soon as you have them getting a good grade is made easier. He is the most adorable professor I have ever had. The most helpful one as well. And he is funny in a quarky way. He gives you ALL of his lecture notes also.
he is perfect. he's very helpful and makes sure you don't fall behind..as long as you cooperate. it is alot of work to pass his class but its worth it...and he makes it do-able.
TFlem is a great professor. The lectures do get a little boring because he talks about things that aren't on the test, but as long as you pay attention and print power points out to take notes ahead of time you should be fine. Extra credit quizzes help and he'll answer any questions you have in the review session.
GREAT TEACHER! Tflem is awesome and he is willing to help you with anything. His power points are a little long but if you study and understand them fully you'll do fine on the test. You can go see him any time and he will explain the material 10x better than during class. He's also pretty funny and makes little dorky jokes. Take him for bio!
TFlem is a great teacher, he can sometimes be a little hard to understand or overwhelming but he will slow down or go back to help. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunites, he also holds study sessions every week which really helps if you actually go!
He is great teacher and takes the time to go over anything you ask him! If you can take him as a biology professor, do it! TFlem is the best he is interested in what he teaches and it really shows.
This has been the hardest class I have take at Bradley so far. Dr. Fleming is terrible at teaching in a large-group setting (lecture), but he is great if you go in to office hours. He is so intelligent that he forgets that we cannot memorize everything so quickly.
This class to begin with is really hard, it just consists of knowing A LOT of information. However, TFlem helps you through a lot of it, especially if you see him during open lab or his office hours. Attend other labs, not just your own or else you will be on the struggle bus! TFlem wants his students to succeed so he will try and help you!
This class is super hard with or without Fleming's bad teaching (He talks very quickly and assumes we know things that we don't). If you want a B or higher, go to class EVERY day, record lecture, take notes, ask questions, study after every class, go to study group, go to office hours, and study double time before quizzes or tests.
This is hands down one of the best bio professors at Bradley. He literally highlights everything that's on the test in RED on his notes. I don't know why everyone is saying he is difficult. If you don't read over the notes and study you will fail....DUH!!! this is a biology class, not a dumb gen ed.
Fleming is a great guy but is too smart for his own good. He really does want everyone to succeed, but its not possible if you dont understand the information. He knows exactly what he is talking about but his quizzes and tests ask questions about the smallest details that you wont remember. You will end up loving and hating him at the same time.
Great teacher
T Flem is awesome! He's the best bio teacher I've ever had. Labs aren't the easiest, but I've gotten A's on all his tests. Attend class and study notes and you'll be fine. Plus he's so cute!
Fleming is definitely a smart guy and knows what he is talking about. There are LOTS of details but he is willing to slow down and present the information in a more understandable way. He wants to help, but you have to ask for it. The book is never used, but can help clear up some confusion. GO TO CLASS. offers LOTS of extra credit.
Very nice, smart, and funny guy. I took the honors seminar on Pandemics. There's a test, two presentations (one group and one individual), and a paper (that's based on the individual project). There's also some participation points. I put a lot of effort into it and got an A. I enjoyed the book, though it wasn't necessary to read it all.
T Flemm is the best Bio teacher out there. He will go out of his way to make sure that his students understand the material. With his classes, you get out as much as you put in, that being said if you do your work, you will pass. He's the best.
If you memorize the slides, you will do AT LEAST get a C. I didn't really understand what was going on in class but memorizing the slides(which there is ALOT) saved my grade. Study the power points after you fill them out because there are extra credit quizzes.
If you want to pass this lab you have to go to other lab sections. There is absolutely no other way to pass but to spend time in the lab looking at different cat cadavers and the models.
Ted Fleming was a very very educated teacher. However, because of this is it often that is expects the students to just know what he's talking about and this creates confusion.
Professor Fleming is truly one of the best professors at Bradley. You have to work for your grade but he makes himself available as much as possible and even said "I basically live here". He genuinely cares for his students and wants them to do well. Go and see him in office hours!! He's willing to put in the time if you are, too.
T Flem is a really good professor. He cares about his student's success. He gives extra credit pop quizzes that are really helpful. He has study sessions that are really helpful. He is a funny guy!
He is too smart for his own good. He assumes we have a background knowledge and his exams and quizzes are about specifics from his powerpoint. Everything you need to know for the test is highlighted in red, but thats most of the slides. Hard class. Get extra help.
T flem is definitely one of the best professors I have ever had. Pay attention, record the lectures, and study and you will do just fine. He really cares about his students, if you have trouble with anything go and see him and he always helps. Highly recommend taking him for bio
He's very passionate and knowledgeable. He wants you to be successful and his tests are fair. I really enjoyed his lectures. Make sure to know the slides on his Powerpoints and write down extra important information he says during class, and you will get a good grade. Awesome teacher! Really recommend him.
He may be a great teacher in the classroom, but it appears that with online, you are definitely on your own. He even admits to not really giving feedback. Detailed syllabus given, yet even when followed to the best of ability, yields minimal scores. While he may be great in classroom, I would not advise taking online class with him.
Ted is a really nice guy. If you ask for help, he gives it. But you have to put yourself out there. Is a pretty tough grader when it comes to papers, but gives good feedback and explains why he graded the way that he did.
I had him for anatomy and physiology lab 1. I wish I took the other professor offered. Fleming is very inconsistent with what he tells students and you basically have to figure out everything for yourself. When you ask questions he makes you feel dumb. If he likes you it's a little better, and he only really likes you if you do well.
too smart for his own good. expects a lot from freshman nursing students and thinks we know everything. everything that is on the test is highlighted in red yet every word is in red. not really available for office hours. he said my lab teacher was found off the streets and that a girl would be a bad nurse. take any other teacher but him.
Fleming is a really knowledgable professor and knows the topic of Microbio really well. He is very lecture heavy, so I highly recommend printing out his lectures ahead of time. This class wasn't impossible, but it does require a lot of outside studying and work. Lab was difficult, however he does offer extra credit to make up for it's difficulty
There were many aspects of this professor that made me disgusted. He has been know to speak down to individuals and on some occasions even have told them that the would be an awful doctor if they were to become that. He is very stuck up and is a harsh grader and does not take questions about why u received a certain grade
I had Fleming for an honors seminar, and it did not feel like a seminar at all; it was more of an in-depth lab. He assigned multiple presentations and two large papers for a 1 hr course, with very unclear rubrics. It was clearly a new course as he assigned too much weekly, and people had to come in to redo parts of the lab quite often.
I'm all for professors that push students to be there best and work for their grade but this class put me to my breaking point. The lectures are very long and if you do not pay attention to every single word, you will not do well on tests. Dr. Fleming is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he is teaching but, in this case, it did not help.
Fleming is a VERY smart man and I felt that he would expect us to pick up on a concept after a day or two. Although, he was awesome at coming up with analogies to help students understand. This class covers a lot of material so be sure to stay on track and prepare yourself for super difficult tests. Hes pretty good at letting u know what to study.
He's okay. There's a fine line between expecting your students to work for something and just expecting them to know everything. He is very smart but expects students to know everything especially. For example, he gave lab reports but didn't give clear instructions(first time doing them!) and make it due the day before Thanksgiving. So considerate!
I like Dr. Fleming. However, BIO 202 with him is a HARD course. He goes over a lot of material and has great analogies for important ideas and concepts, but there is just a lot. I do respect him as a professional and I even signed up to take a lab taught by him. I like to say he cares about us in his own weird wat because he truly does care!
Prof. Fleming's exams are very tough. There is a TON of information that you NEED to know packed into his confusing powerpoints. He's very intelligent and knows what he's talking about, but can be very confusing to listen to. Overall what helped me was to be SURE you know EVERY definition + detail from his slides and go to provided tutor sessions.
Ted is hilarious, but anatomy is hard. You have to spell everything correct after you identify it. You only get graded on prelab quizzes and exams. The prelab quizzes are suppose to be easy but he never gave me a 5/5. Ted is a great guy and really wants to help his students but with the course being half a semester as well, its very hard.
Almost impossible to pass on the first try. Only 6 grades in the entire class, if you do bad on one test youre done for. There is little opportunity for improvement and is completely learn on your own.
This professor was terrible! I took BIO 202 during the fall. There was little to no access to support groups. Barely any help from instructor. Lectures were heavy with barely any material on the exam from it! Will not pass you even if you are 2 points away. Drop the class immediately mistake! Labs are confusing and you have to do it yourself,0 help
I am noy going to sugar coat it, Professor Fleming is TOUGH! However, as much as you don't believe it, he wants you to succeed so badly. He does everything he does for your success, however frustrating it might be for you. He has a tough exterior, but he is actually so sweet. Work hard, ask questions, meet with him, and don't give up.
Professor Fleming is a great professor and 100% knows what he is talking about, but the material he teaches can be very difficult. Class is very lecture heavy and you honestly need to understand everything in order for you to do well on a test so make sure you know the material inside and out. If you study well for the tests you should be fine.
Fleming knows his stuff! I found this course interesting. This is a tough course but he helps you navigate it well. Study! Ask lots of questions! Pay attention in lecture and take detailed notes. Sweet guy, he wants you to succeed. Gives a fair amount of extra credit. opportunities. Application based, know the material well. Don't give up!
Professor Fleming knows his stuff, but BIO202 is a tough course. Attend every lecture, take detailed notes, and use resources like the textbook and unstuck study to really master the material. It's challenging, but doable with hard work.
He is such a caring professor! Pay attention in class, take notes, study, and you'll do fine! He always curves exams 6-8 points and there's an extra credit practice quiz on Canvas before each exam - only benefiting your grade. Every once in a while he will do pop quizzes, but these are extra credit as well and will only help your grade!
Dr. Fleming is a very knowledgeable and resourceful professor. He tends to go EXTREMELY quickly through his slides, but provides them on canvas afterwards. He isn't the person to include things on the exam that he never taught, literally every single bullet point from his slides will be on the exam. He occasionally does pp quizzes for EC!
