Very good professor. After you get past his mild accent, he'll make sure you understand what you learn. I got an A in his class.
worst calc teacher. doesnt explain anything at all. almost everyone failed the first quiz. horrible! dont take him unless u are already good at calc or math in general!!!

Draghici is very nice and will help if you have a problem. But he is not the best teacher, although he tries. There are better teachers, but he still isn't that bad. If you are good at calculus, then you'll probably be fine.
he tries, is not the best and makes mistakes, but the class is fairly easy and he does what he can to help the class
Very good teacher. Explains everything really well and gives proofs for every theorem or new idea, he makes sure you understand where things come from. :)
Math is math..the subject itslef can't be anymore intresting but he explains very well and he trys to make the grading scale to your advantage....
geat professor....explain very well
Really nice teacher, tries to help you in whatever way is possible. He explains things until everyone understands, and his tests are kind of similar to the problem he suggests. I recommend him.

he's definitely not the best, but he's the nicest, sweetest guy ever...he truly cares about his students and tries to help them understand everything, but he's just not that good @ explaining sometimes...it's a very hard class and requires A LOT of time...as long as u put in the time, u should do fine...i have an A so far!
he really likes calculus! was a pretty good teacher, although I think i have had better... the class wasn't too difficult, especially if you have taken calculus in high school. I thought his name and accent was very entertaining and I'm taking him for calc 2! I liked him!
Excellent! Willing to help during or after class! Has a sence of humor! Very clear teacher! Understandable! Organized! Test are fair, just do the homework!
Excelent professor, he is very easy to understand and talk to. Very easy to ask questions and is always available before tests to answer questions and get help. Best professor I have had in the math department.
Now this guy is a true teacher. Absolutely one of the best I have ever had. He really teaches the material, and is interested in it. You can't help but feel drawn into loving math just as he does (if, of course, you give it an honest effort). He is also extremely fair. The class is tough, but that's just the nature of the course.
Go tO his class and after u get passed his rOmanian accent, he's gooD. He likes math and hE wAnts u to like it too :) if u take him, u'll Do fine!!
He is kinda hard. I had to work really hard to get my B-. I did not really understand half of the things he taught because he didn't explain it very well. I had to get a tutor to help me and I've always done well in math. This is the first time I had to work for a good grade in Math.
Great lectures. Excellent knowledge and teaching skills . Good motivator. Accent easy to follow. My first Algebra class after 25 years, short in time to attend classes and study, but he is the plus to be successful. Not easy on assignments and exams, but it was not that hard to get my B.
Great Professor. Definat recomend him. If you do your homework, you will ace the test. Super helpful during his office ours too! His website is: fiu.edu/~draghici
He is an awesome calc professor! Yes he has a thick accent, but he will gladly repeat something if you don't understand. Always helpful outside of class, will respond to emails and in office hours. Make sure you do the homework and take, it's crucial for his quizzes! Very sweet guy!
He has a lot of potential, but spends an unnecessary amount of time in class with non-essential proofs and sections he does not have to cover (he covered all sections in the book). So he doesn't have enough time to successfully teach the material and does few overlong examples. On the other hand, he is excellent as a one on one tutor in his office.
Good teacher; very helpful and knowledgeable on the material.
One of the most challenging professsors ever being taken in FIU. Homeworks are never related to exams, quizzes, and mostly the final. Was doing good until he made the final TOOOO ****INGGGG Challenging and was not related to HW, class notes, meaning to nothing, it was tooo scientifc. Avoid him if you're extremely bad with math. Honestly!!!!
GOOD TEACHER, NICE FAIR TESTS. THE FINAL WAS A TURN AROUND. HE WOKE UP AND DECIDED TO MAKE THE TEST REALLY HARD. THE OTHER TESTS ARE REALLY EASY AND HE IS IN HIS OFFICE TO HELP YOU.
The class was ok...its math how fun can it be. Outside of class, however, he was extremely helpful and willing to take as much time as needed to explain whatever I couldn't understand. His tests were kinda hard, but he went over everything that he gave us.
He is a nice guy, you can't take that away from him. However, his tests have little relation with HW, he is more into theoretical than practical questions. His exams are hard so be prepared. He writes faster than any human so your notes: useless. Take him only if you have no other hard classes. Note exam 2 covers 15 sections! Stay on top of it!
Look, Calc 3 is a hard class, but of all the teachers that teach it, he is the best -- he is always in his office to help. worked my ass off but i got an A - just do all the homework.
He go through the subject pretty fast.
well, he really is a good teacher...however if you go to his office hours he is usually busy with a lot of other students who need help...and his tests are really hard, and dats da thing our grades rely on 4 tests so it's do or die...there is no use of getting da book cuz it really doesn't help you when it comes to the test trust me
Good Professor. I am very ungrateful, when I was taking the class I thought he was not that good. But now after taking other math professors I think he is Great. However, stay on top of things because the exams are hard.DO NOT PROCRASTINATE as usual with math classes. He gave us homework, midterms and final and some extra credit to help people.
Draghici is amazing!!! He really wants you to UNDERSTAND. He likes explaining the concepts above and beyond if you?re curious (awesome), but he still makes sure even the most mathematically challenged students can understand what?s going on. He?s a really nice guy and truly cares about his students. I enjoyed his classes.
I highly recommend Draghici for Calc2. This isn't easy no matter who you take, but his explanations/examples are A+ (I got several things directly from class & usually I don't get this until I study it myself) and he gives extra credit on tests. The class pace is fast and the tests aren't easy, but if you do HW & study(BK+manual!) the A is doable.
Draghici is one of the best math professors in the department. His tests aren't hard if you do the homework and Draghici is willing to help , even if its not during office hours. He even held a Saturday study session for our class if we needed extra help. Use the resources on his website, he has his old exams posted! Great professor!
best professor in the world. not only does he know the material very well but he is also extremely good at teaching it. you should take him for every class, whether or not you are a math major (and especially if you are one).
This professor actually helps you understand calculus. He does not overload with boring exercises or difficult exams. He makes you think beyond the textbook and the examples. He knows his calculus and he knows how to teach it. Gives a bunch of bonus points on exams and is always there to benefit his students!
Great human being. Very sweet guy and always willing to help. Explains really well and knows his material extremely well. However, his test are the toughest I have taken. I studied like crazy and never got an A. If you want to learn take him if you want an A stay away.
Calculus 3 is VERY intimidating but completely do-able with a professor like this one. He gives 6 quizzes, (mot are take-home) drops the lowest one and 3 exams including final. He gives A LOT of partial credit on exam questions. I NEVER thought I would get an A in Calc 3 but he's just that awesome. DO THE WORK, GO TO CLASS, it's not an easy A
He is a very nice human being, but he's still a math professor, and he makes sure Calculus 3 doesn't ever get too easy. His tests are very challenging and he goes over everything way too fast! I checked here before I took him, but he is very hard more then expected. Final was 80% not cumulative and that's the biggest negative.
Horribly confusing. He goes way too quickly, and doesn't explain anything, just does things. It's almost like he wants to show off, because he'll do these huge problems that confuse you tremendously, then say "but we won't do something like that on the test." Annoying. He's very nice though. Just mad confusing.....need a better way of teaching.
I absolutely love this guy's teaching. He has such a great personality. He is always willing to help you on any questions you may have. His exams are not hard if you do all or most of his "suggested" problems. I would definitely take him again, but unfortunately he isn't going to teach multivariable calc :/
HE IS AMAZING! TAKE HIMMM! Best math teacher I've come across yet. He explains everything perfectly and genuinely wants you to understand and pass. There are 3 exams and a final and a quiz every few weeks which he warms you about beforehand. Gives extra credit on all of them. On top of that, he is such a nice guy! BEST TEACHER EVER! <3
His tests are very challenging. Do the recommended homework assignments, ask questions, and DO NOT wait until the day before an exam to study because you will fail. I never found his reviews helpful because the exams always covered so much material.
****DOESN'T ALLOW ANY CALCULATOR WHATSOEVER***** With that being said, this teacher is brilliant. He really knows his stuff and he is probably one of the best teachers. It sucks that I went through precalc and trig relying solely on my calculator and thats why this class was hard for me. But nonetheless, this teacher can teach, and hes a good guy.
When working out problems, he will skip every step possible, so its confusing. He does not stop teaching the entire time and he talks and writes incredibly fast, so keeping up with him is difficult. He specifically chooses hard problems for the test. If you're stuck with Draghici, go to iTunes and look up "Rosenthal" and watch his calculus videos.
This professor is very nice and funny but very hard. I got an A by the skin of my teeth and I am one of the only ones in the class to end up with one. He does not give extra credit. All he does is add an extra exercise on the test so that the test is out of 110 instead of 100. I would avoid him and try to find an easier professor
He is such a great professor! He explains things clearly and really tries to help you in terms of grading. He does worksheets in class and helps you problem solve which was a huge help. There were 3 exams and a final, 7 quizzes (he took the top5) and 2 mini HW projects. On all quizzes and tests he had bonus points possible. I highly recommend him!
I took this class Spring 2012 and he is by far the best math professor i've had. Wish he could have taught Calc3 and Diff.Equ. He gives suggested problems, and offers "extra points" on exams. Everything is off the book and generally cares about you and will do anything to help you out. GREAT GUY!!!!
I took this professor for my MAC 2311 class and I absolutely love him and will be taking him next semester as well. His tests are not exactly easy, but they are not extremely hard either. If you take his class your concept and ideas will be crystal clear and I guess that is one thing you would want from college.
Good professor just gives extremely hard test for no reason
Best math teacher great calc 2
He is the best math professor I have ever had. AMAZING!
Prof. Draghici is a very nice knowledgeable guy and hes always there to help. The only things is his tests are somewhat hard. Honestly all you have to do is study well and do the homework and you'll be fine.
great professor. exams are difficult but so is calculus
Extremely clear explanations. He has a flow in his teaching that lets you really understand the concepts. His tests are also fair if you do the suggested homework problems and make an effort to have a good understanding of the material. His enthusiasm and kindness make the class enjoyable. One of the best teachers I've ever had.
Professor Draghici is very knowledgable with this subject, hence his explanation of the topics is very clear. Attendance is not mandatory but recommended because his explanations include hints. He is very helpful outside of class during his office hours, and study sessions. 15-20 hrs a week studying is enough to absorb the material. Great Professor
Prof Draghici is probably one of the few good math prof at FIU. I would recommend him to any peer or friend of mine. He gives weekly quizzes which are usually 3 questions, the exams require a little more effort but are still doable. Overall he was great at teaching the material and it is very doable to pass his class with at least a 'C'
Dr Draghici is the best! I made the best decision when I took his class. His Exams are not easy, but if you put some effort they are doable.(do the suggested HW) He is extremely helpful even outside class, he would take the time to really make you understand during office hours. Do not miss class!
This guy is one of the few math professor that can teach. He is clear, speaks good English, and is passionate about the subject. Without a doubt, he is one in a million. His lectures are well prepared, but he is tough--no doubt about it. He will emphasize proofs, but he is clear on what he will be expecting on his exams. Gives homework that helps!
He has a couple hilarious math jokes, and he sometimes writes a funny story to go along with some math problems. His problems are not easy however. You will learn calculus, topology, or whatever he's teaching you if you put in the effort. Mastery of these subjects is always based on practice, and if you ever get stuck this guy is eager to help
Great at explaining calculus, but his tests is a lot harder than his examples in class, but read his old tests because a lot of questions come from there on his tests. He will explain proofs and have you lost.
His tests are kinda hard, he likes to make sure you really learned the subject, aside from that, he's pretty clear at explaining the material, what I didn't like is that he spends too much time focusing on theoretical concepts (he will give you a "theoretical question" on every exam), you need to put a lot of effort to pass this class.
He is very good at explaining the concepts but tests are tough unless you do the homework
Truly the best math professor I have ever had. He explains everything thoroughly and all the examples that he does on the board plus his worksheet problems are what the tests are composed of. Such a great human.
Prof. Draghici is a decent professor who knows his math. He typically teaches Calculus but I took his first Trig class. Attendance not mandatory but he does give worksheets and pop quizzes. He answers questions thoroughly and will be straight with you if you don't need to know how to do something. Tests are similar to offline (suggested) homework.
Dr. Draghici is an amazing professor. He really wants you to understand the material and will continue explaining until you understand. The exams are good, especially since he gives you access to all of his past exams from previous semesters. He is very open to helping you with whatever you need. Put the effort!
This professor does care for he's students and you could do a lot worse. That being said, his way of explaining can sometimes make you more confused than you were before. He does try his best to help you when doing the class wksts. Tests are loosely based on suggested problems, but wish there was other sources to study from. Would still take again.
He is a great prof., lectures are clear and simple. Gives lots of resources like worksheets, suggested assignments, old online lectures and exams. Only hw due is Wiley Plus each week, but you should really do the suggested assignments. Pay attention, during lecture he will hint at what will be on the exam. Past exams are similar to his new exams.
He's a great teacher who is clearly passionate about math. I recommend taking him if you struggle with math because he takes time to explain basic concepts even during summer courses with limited time.
THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!! Draghici is a genius and he's an amazing teacher. Calc 2 is a hard course, but as long as you do the suggested homework and pay attention to his lectures, you'll be fine. His exams are tough but he gives a lot of partial credit which helps a lot. I'd take Draghici again without a doubt!!!
By far one of my favorite professors. He is so intelligent!! Beware of his lecture, he speaks quite fast and writes just as fast. A good professor if you like math and it comes rather easy to you, if not stay away. Proofs on proofs, get ready to take notes and do not miss class! Take him if you truly want to learn and understand, not just get by.
Amazing professor. But do not expect an easy A. If you are not great at math, find another professor because with him you need to be already good. His lectures are inspiring he is so intelligent and explains very well. However, his accent and fast speaking rate take some getting used to. Workload was like 10 quizzes three to four exams. Take him!
Such a great teacher, and he really does care about the students. He always responds to emails best he can. During his lectures he makes sure everyone understands the material and explains very well
I truly dont recommend taking this professor for this course.. he did five sections in one day that were extremely important. The reviews are two questions students have and then he wants to continue with the next thing that wouldnt be on the exam. Then the final was composed mostly of the third exam which students did the worst on...
He may be a better professor for other courses but for this course he was not good at all. He curves but not so much and its a rigorous course. The beginning is fine and honestly I rather never take him again. Professor Leonard is a better Professor by 100x and hes a teacher on YouTube. Dont let these good comments fool you.
DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR CALC 2!!!!!
If you're not good at math then you should not take him.
I would take him again! Everything you do in class will be in the quizzes and exams. He's very good at explaining so if you take notes and listen in class you'll be fine. His exam reviews are comprehensive, so you should be fin before every exam. Always available after class for questions or in his office. Great professor!
He cares a lot for his students and does a great job of teaching. He is also very generous with partial credit on his exams so put something for each one!
He was a good person but for every single quiz or test, he would assume that you were cheating if you did well and call you aside to have you answer multiple questions. If you even messed up on a part of it he would give you a zero on the test/quiz. He puts you on the spot, calls on random people in class.
He was not a good professor at all. He was so rude and always assume that you are cheating if you won't answer they way he wants you to. Do not take his class if you are not good at math. Horrible teacher and talks way too much. DO NOT TAKE IT>
He has not been accommodating towards this pandemic at all. He is very strict about cheating and will contact people after the test and have them explain their logic/steps for certain problems. During class he likes to pick on people on the spot and the class just gives major anxiety. Take literally anyone else. Please trust me
Tedi is honestly one of the best lectures especially during this covid times. He makes sure to prove every theorem and help each student understand the topic. His exams are exactly what he teaches, he also provides past exams to study with. He may occasionally ask you prove your exam if he suspects cheating, but if you didn't cheat you will be fine
One of the best in the department. He is very clear in his lectures
By far the best math professor I have ever had! Truly passionate about math and makes you want to learn it. He goes through proofs religiously to help you understand what you're doing, and he adds the proofs as extra credit on the exams. If you actually want to LEARN, this is the class for you. Have taken him for calc 1, 2, and Diff eq. The best!
Honestly one of the best professors I have had. Always giving out bonus points on exams when he does not even need to. He gives one worksheet and one quiz every week, but this is flexible and sometimes he doesn't. Always tells you what to expect for exams and has plenty to review. The homework is not too crazy just online weekly assignemnts.
take this professor if you see him. He loves his students, will do the most to help even with assignment questions. Calculus 3 is hard, but he makes it easy to understand the best he can. Im not a good student by any means, but his help and course design made it very easy to learn concepts and succeed. Not strict by any means, a phenomenal Prof.
Professor Draghici is actually amazing i rly enjoyed taking a class with him. The class is very much based on lectures and most of the grade is determined by the tests and the online homework. Hes a lenient grader, and tries to give partial credit anywhere he can. His lectures are really great too, but the class can get long.
You have to study everything from notes, whole chapter in sections and these theorems that he gets out of the book, at least 3 which can get annoying. no calculator, no formulas. terminology that you have to know in to understand what questions are being ask. I did not understand anything taught, tiny writing. I had to basically teach myself. rude
Come to class & take notes. He gives worksheets & hw, all pretty doable. 2 exams & final. He provides a list of all necessary definitions, algorithms, and theorems before each exam. No surprises on exams, everything is from the list given. Go to his office hours if you need help! He's a nice professor and is very understanding! Work hard, get an A.
Good professor, his lectures are heavy and have a lot of content. You need to have a clear understanding of Calculus 1 before taking his class or else you WILL be lost.
Amazing professor. Helps out students in class and clearly explains concepts. As long as you're engaged during class, you should grasp most of the information, and if not, the MyMathLab he assigns was super helpful. Gives partial credit on assignments if you show your work and drops 1-2 of your worst grades at the end of the semester.
Professor Draghici is a great professor who gives great lectures and the homework he gives helps a lot.
His lectures are pretty fast but you can tell he genuinely cares about his students. He will go above and beyond in lectures with lots of examples. He has group worksheets and mymathlab hw every week. His tests are a bit long, no cheat sheet and no calculator. However if you have any questions he's always happy to help.
Tedi is an amazing Professor. He cares about his students and genuinely wants to allow them to pass. Pro Tip: Do not miss his classes. They are essential to passing, especially the worksheets.
Tedi was amazing. I do have to warn you that he's very lecture heavy and will usually go pretty fast over one topic, but he assigns plenty of worksheets and hw to help you understand the concepts. Will usually give EC on exams. He's always available outside of the classroom. Will go above and beyond to make sure you understand!!
Overall, the course was challenging, which is to be expected from a course such as Calc 3. However, I believe the professor did a great job explaining the material. His class is lecture-heavy, but he's understanding, caring, and, above all else, willing to work with you. If you put in the time and work, you'll be able to get a good grade.
Tedi is a thorough professor who cares about student success. Attending lectures and utilizing resources like unstuckstudy can help grasp the material. He has a strict policy on academic honesty, so staying engaged is key to passing the class.
Overall good. His lecture go by extremely fast and you need to actually teach yourself and go over everything as expected from a Calc 2 class. A lot a lot of partial points on test and quizzes which is the best and really helps! Its a challenging course that requires you to put a lot of effort outside but he cares and will help with anything.
He's so nice and sweet and knows exactly what he is teaching but you NEED to teach yourself outside of class. You should be putting a lot of time outside of class to learn the material and practice it because going to lectures alone will not suffice. He is super caring and always eager to answer questions but you need to do your part too.
He is awesome and sweet and always eager to answer questions. However, you need to do your part for this course. Lectures and the worksheets he gives will not suffice and you need to put a lot of effort outside of class to fully understand the material. He is always willing to help but you need to rely a lot on your studying efforts.
Overall, Professor Draghici is so nice and kind when speaking with him or with any questions, but his lectures tend to fully focus on many of the reasons as to why certain concepts are a certain way, rather than how to apply them. Overall, he is great and super nice, but exams are tough and you need to put in a lot of work at home.
