She's tough, but fair. She's very likable. If you want an easy class, don't take her. If you wan't to learn, take her.
Very good class. She is helpful and really cares for her students. She is not easy so if you are looking for an easy A, look elsewhere.
Dr.Coffman is a very nice teacher....Although if you are interested in really learning the material don't take her course...that is 1412. It was an easy A b/c after every test, except, the final we got to correct for full credit. so if u r a procrastinator this is the class 4 u.
Terra is awesome. Great teacher. gave lots of homework, LONG TESTS, but graded fairly and sometimes gave extra credit. Cares about her students and helps them learn. Explains to anyone who asks ?????. I want to take Terra again for more chem. Hottie. sexy blonde made attendance high too.
she's a useless lady who who enjoys her life by making your's miserable. She doesn't teach anything and her tests are too hard.
She is very easy. Lots and lots of extra credit. Wants everyone to do well and will give you more and more extra credit everytime you ask. Lots of easy quizes to boost average and easy test.
She was so good to me that i kept going to her class
loved this teacher. Had her for 1411, want her for next chemistry class. She is a professor who truely cares if you "get it". She always says that she "loves organic" <kick foot backwards> God, I want to take organic from her. Mostly to absorb her enthusiasm for Ochem instead of fearing it!!!

She doesnt know how to teach that well. Her worksheets help if you do them and if you dont know how to do it she will help you. Make sure you study because her tests are long and no multiple choice.
Terah does not spend a lot of time on lecture. However, she does give you lots of practice problems to work in class and if you do them and your homework from the book, you will do well. She is helpful and cares for her students.
she does not teach, explains 1chapter in 30mins and you're suppose to know it after that. she does not clarify anything, just shows. If you're wanting to learn on your own with the help of other students take her class, but its tough stuff
All of these comments above are true. She doesn't teach that much and you have to study on your own. It's useless to come to class if you already know the materials. Be prepare for the non-multiple choice tests. I wouldn't reconmend her if you're really smart yourself.
Great professor...makes organic chemistry fun and interesting. Also, still a hottie after all these years. :>)
She doesn't lecture more than 10 min and doesn't really explain, she just gives you worksheets so you can work on them trying to learn from the book...
NOBODY is perfect, but overall Terah IS really GREAT! She begins the class explaining the material, then she gives you worksheets to do IN CLASS. If U don't understand something, she WILL work any problem/question you have on the board for ALL to see (and continue explaining until it's all clear)! Her voice is nice and she's really very pretty.
If you read the text before class and do the homework you will do fine. Dr.Coffman knows her chemistry and is willing to help you if you ask. This class does require hard work, but this is college. It might be helpful to take 1407 if you aren't familiar with Chemistry.
not so good ..
Dr. Coffman is a very good chemistry teacher. She is pretty laid back but requires certain things of you. No cell phones ringing in class or it means a pop quiz! Gives pop quizzes every once in a while so you need to come to class. Lecture and lab both VERY helpful, but she goes fast sometimes. Tests are difficult but not impossible if u study.
Dr. Coffman is great. She is helpful and kind. You do have to work hard in her class but if you do, you will find success. She definitely tries to prepare you for your next course.
Great teacher. Very nice.
Great.
Cares about her students. However, you do have to do your part and do the homework. Ask lots of questions before the exams.
Her class is not easy and you HAVE to do the work and study hard. However, she truly wants you to do well and if you are trying to succeed, she will try and help you. Just make sure you plan to study lots:)
STAY AWAY WARNING - if you like torture take her
Richland has Chem teachers who give full lectures and are structured. Not this one. Few lectures. Easy lectures, long tests harder than book. Mostly worksheets in class so self-learning. If took advanced HS Chem or intro Chem 1405 and made an A, you can do fine.Otherwise avoid. Very nice and brilliant tho. Advanced PHD cannot relate to intro level.
Be prepared to study!!!I made an A in this class but I studied ALL the time. Lab homework takes hrs to complete & will be on Exams. Quizzes easy just study. Lectures can be overwhelming at 1st but it gets easier.Gives lots of worksheets but it helps for tests. Very understanding. gives lots of pts so that u can make an A. Textbk is very helpful
Dr. Coffman is a great teacher. She has a lot of real world comparisons for a difficult subject. She makes it fun.
I really like her. She tries hard to get you to do well and understand. Some students just were not prepared or did not do the work like she suggested. You certainly have to do your part but if you do, you will like her as well.
I really thought I had something for Chemistry... but either I thought wrong or this teacher is way too hard. She's okay-nice, there were a few times she made me feel as if she didnt want to help. She went through things EXTREMELY FAST. I couldn't keep up and had to drop a little after half a semester. Unless you're already good at chem, not recom.
Professor Coffman is very bubbly yet professional. She shows weird videos or music about chemistry but it makes chemistry more fun than it actually is. She goes through topics fast but gives a lot of worksheets in case you want to work on it more. Tests can be hard but it will be okay if you understand the concepts she teaches. I recommend.
She was really awesome! I loved lab times and though morning classes were groggy she kept me interested. Anytime I needed help, she was happy to give it. I even went through a pretty tough semester and she helped me out. I recommend her for anyone who enjoys chemistry or wants to learn more about it.
she is nice and helpful. Just listen to her lecture and take note whatever she emphasizes; these will be on the tests. easy to make A
too fast
DO NOT TAKE! She seems really nice, and you feel prepared for her tests. Then you get your test and it is NOTHING like you thought it would be or even WHAT SHE SAID it would be like. The tests are wayyy to hard. Everyone failed below a 60 on one of her tests and she didn't curve or give extra credit or anything! She goes TOO FAST in explinations!
TAKE HER! Shes nice, very helpful and cares about every single student's progress. OChem is a very hard class, and a lot of materials we have to digest on our own, but shes there to help whenever we need. Shes flexible with deadlines, labs... Just work hard you will get an A!
Lecture relies a lot on Power Point, so you can just sitting home and study through the PPt but attendance is counted. Her assignments and tests are super easy. She gives a lot of extra credit if you spend time studying at the Science Corner even by your own or with the help of some tutors. Labs are filled with instructions. A certain A+ class!!!
This is a non science major class and I was not a science major when I took the class. Now I am planning to change my major. If you learn to name like she tells you and work hard in lab, you can make an A. She does have you work in groups a lot but she adds lecture too. I found her nice and the class helpful.
Chemistry is one of my strong subjects but when I took this class, my brain completely turned into jello. What she does in class is barely considered "teaching." A bunch of students had to form study groups to succeed in the class. If you take her expect to learn more from masteringchemistry and your peers than you do from the teacher.
She uses this self directed teaching method that I was not sure I would like. In the end, I liked the class, did well, and learned a lot. I would recommed giving her a try but keep an open mind. Labs were a ton of work but you get where you enjoy them. She is very sweet.
Good things: really nice...that's it. Bad: she doesn't teach, she blows through the power points reeaalllyy fast!! You definitely need study groups. When I ask her questions about the worksheets (she gives about 5 a day) she doesn't know the answers and has to look them up. All of homework is not taught in class. You must teach yourself.
She is nice. She goes a little fast but does have you work problems in class. I have done much better in her class than the first time I took 1411.
She is hard but has always shown concern for me. Helped me a lot.
I took her last semester and made an A. She does have you do a lot of work in class but I found it helped. I even looked into a chemistry major after taking her because I found it so interesting. She is nice.
She has us work in groups in class. That took some getting used to but in the end, it was fun. She gives a quiz each day at the start of class. A bit of a pain but it helps you keep up. I have done well and would take her again.
Takes a bit of work, but will usually be able to finish the labs early as long as you and your partner stay focused and work together. Didn't have the best method of teaching us the materials we needed to know though.
Interesting class...I would recommend.
Well I have now had this teacher for both 1411 and 2423. It has been a true pleasure to take her as a student, I am dreaming of a career in education and this teacher shows me that it can be done. Do not go into any of her classes thinking you will sleep and get an A, you have to study your butt off, but you earn what you get from her.
Great Professor but do not let that fool you. The class is very hard so you will have to work your tail off but she genuinely cares about her students and wishes them to do well. That said if you put in the effort and the good graces of chemistry will not let you down
A very interesting class. She is very nice and cares about your progress. What an excitement for chemistry! She scares you a little the first few weeks with the background information but once you get into the class, it really isn't all that bad. Learning to name the compounds helps ALOT.
Great OCHEM Prof. I went to another school for the second semester and definitely was well prepared. She is not easy but the class is fun if you put in the effort, you get to know your classmates well, and learn a ton. I am now well prepared for a medical career.
Very nice.
Terrah tries to get you to understand and has you practice problems so u get better. So far, so good.
Awesome.
Took her last year. Wish I could have taken the second part with her. Really great, understanding and laid back. I learned how to think as a chemists. Labs are individual but I learned lots of skills. Doesn't like catching stuff on fire, though.
Semester started off rocky with alot of snow days. Our class has managed to get caught up. Dr. Coffman has tried to get us back and prepare us for our final. I think I have grown in the class and enjoy chemistry even more. Still not thrilled with heat chapter but the rest is good.
Great, nice. I am well prepared and have learned A LOT. You're the best, Dr. Coffman! Thanks for everything.
Very nice. I liked the class. Thanks for everything, Dr. Coffman. Have a great summer!
You work hard but really gain an understanding with her. She is nice and helpful. I am well prepared!!!!
Great! Take her.
Exams get harder as you go along. She is helpful and sweet. Great choice for 1411.
Interesting class and not all that hard. You do haVe to learn naming and you do lose class points for being late. BUT, if you work hard in lab, ask questions, do the homework, you will be fine.
A+++++++++
very nice
Super smart. Really kind.
Terah can get worked up about some topics. Not in a bad way, just really passionate. She harps on you to keep the lab clean but gives you bonus if you do. i think she is great and i am glad i took the class with her.
laid back. Exams aren't all that bad. Helpful.
Shes a great teacher and pretty fair. But she's difficult, you gotta work! :0
She is great. You have to attend class on time every day because there is a quiz. But the quizzes help to prepare you for the exams. Labs are long but fun.
what an amazing class. loved her! Really helpful and smart.
Nice teacher but kinda hard. You really have to study but she does seem to care about you. Take her if you want to learn something.
Great!
Very sweet lady, but she does not explain the material as well as it can be explained. Be sure to do the practice problems and the extra credit work to guarantee an A.
She really helped me a lot.
Really knows the subject matter and cares that students learn.
Hard class but fun so far. Be ready to work and have quiz everyday but first exam is Take Home.
I love Organic Chem. Hard class but good and awesome teacher.
She is good grades-wise, but bad teaching wise. She is excited for the topic, but does not explain things in a way that makes sense. If you visit her office hours, she can't explain things in a simple way and tells you to read the book. I recommend you get a good base foundation before taking her class. Watch Khan Academy or something.
Dr.Coffman is a great professor- tests started out easy and got more difficult towards the end.(this is on purpose) she is always willing to help answer questions and is very easy to understand in lab. I would highly recommend her!
This OCHEM class is very helpful for me to prepare for the DCAT. I get a high B in the class because tests are hard. Some people they just blame for her but I think she just prepares for me to become familiar with level of Dentistry School (21-24 credits), and it is much much more harder than she does. Even my grade is not good but I love her lot
She is a very good instructor in Organic Chemistry. Her tests are hard because of its nature of Organic, but she grades very easy in the Lab. Her final exam is ACS which is easy that could make a good grade. She looked tough at the beginning, but she becomes easily at the end of the semester. Highly recommended this professor.
Her class is hard and her lecture is confusing, but she is accommodative to the class. I think she's the best O.chem teacher at Richland. Mind you, Richland's O.Chem classes are the hardest of DCCCD.
not the easiest or clearest chem. teacher but you can get by. the book is your best friend and its very clear she's fun but i think she talks to us too much like we already know this stuff when we dont
She is not clear whatsoever. When you ask her questions, she gets annoyed and has this tone of voice that makes it seem like you should know this already. It doesn't seem like she cares whether or not we understand the material either. Luckily, I had a great chem teacher in high school or I would've been so screwed.
Do NOT take this professor. She is extremely lazy and sloppy in the way that she teaches. She often takes confusing shortcuts and expects you to know exactly what she did, even though you have never seen it before. She was also rude and not helpful whatsoever. I seriously regret taking this class because I feel like I didn't learn anything.
She you will work hard but you will learn the material and if you put in the effort, she will make sure that you make the grade. She is excellent!
This is not the easiest or best professor I've ever had, but she is still a great teacher. The "problem" is that she doesn't spoon feed you, usually. She does however provide TONS of help and will even help you outside of class. I actually deserved to fail, but she passed me anyway. She's a great professor, just do your part and you'll be fine.
She is so knowledgeable and passionate. Tests are very hard, but she always curve them. So the harder you try, the better grade you get. Once you feel you work hard enough, you deserve take the highest points in her class. She made it that way and I really appreciate that. I've learnt a lot in her class. Miss her :)
wow, very hard teacher. she talks to her students and expects us to know everything she says. very hard. I just got by in her class. I would not recommend her at all.
Stern. Didn't introduce herself first day, tries to challenge you. Nervous, but sweet. In a hurry to cover material. Quiz everyday-good, or else you'd get behind. Drops TON of quizzes. Once she relaxes, you can develop a good rapport with her. Curves exams 30 points-ochem is hard, not her fault. I got an A. Speak up in class,to show you're smart :).
I had taken this class by mistake. However, she is a good teacher, even though I didn't get the grade I wanted. She has a lot of knowledge about chemistry, and can explain it easily. She teaches from the powerpoints, and gives out a lot of worksheets. The tests are hard, but the quizes are easy.
She knows her stuff, and does go very quickly through the course, but if you do your part and do the worksheets, read the textbook, and actually study the material you'll be fine. Only reason I didn't get an A because I had a really heavy course load and couldn't quite dedicate the time to her class. Take her if you want to LEARN.
She's a good teacher, she explains very well and her exam is hard, but hey organic suppose to be hard no matter what. She drops 3 quizzes grade and I made an A so far. It's hard but not hard as University level for science.
I took this professor because she was supposedly hard. I got a B in the class cause I worked hard, did all the homework, got near perfect on the quizzes, and near perfect on the Lab assignments. Caution. If you want an easy in an OChem class, she might not be a good fit for you. Actually learning something... I say take it.
She is awesome! Don't get me wrong she is a tough teacher and only will cover the important parts in lecture you must do some textbook reading on your own. She is very helpful and explains this very well. I recommend her to people who actually want to learn.
She's a nice person, BUT SHE GOES WAYYY TO FAST. Expects us to know everything she says right on the dot. I just wish she would go slower. If you have a choice, DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. Unless you can teach everything yourself.
Dr. Coffman is a nice professor; however, she teaches very fast. You must read book and study daily at least 21 hours weekly to earn a good grade! It is recommended that you spend one hour reading labs and three hours studying for lecture DAILY! It is because Organic Chemistry is massive. Every single test is comprehensive.
you must read read read and practice practice practice. do not slack! she sometimes confuses herself when working out problems which doesn't help but her heart is in the right place. she hates repeating herself so listen carefully or she'll yell.
Teaches fast. Strong personality- quick to mention it. She mentions that she wants to "catch you" making a mistake, for example on test. She puts trick questions on there, and it is very misleading causing you to learn very little unless you teach yourself. Very inconsistent, but some what organized. I don't think she means harm, but she is.
DISCLAIMER: I study a minimum of 10 hours outside classwk. I participate, go to office hours, and ask loads of questions BEST SCIENCE TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. Genuinely cares about if you are getting the material. Crossed out entire labs just so we could work extra problems on harder chapters we struggled with. Will absolutely take her again.
This is an amazing prof that truly cares about the subject matter and her students. You need to pay attention, work every problem she assigns, read the book, and find videos online to support the reading. Do this & never miss class and you should get an A. It's true that if she feels it's needed, she will cancel labs and offer a clinic for help.
I didn't have to take a Chemistry this advanced for nursing, but want to make sure that it would count where ever I went to nursing school. Dr Coffman was amazing. She will stay late and answer emails even on the weekend to help. You have to work at it, but if you do, an A is certainly within reach.
Great Chemistry Professor.
DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR, SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO TEACH. All she does is talk really fast over the power points and gives NO examples on the board. She will make your life IMPOSSIBLE, extremely picky over lab reports. Her daily quizzes are EXTREMELY HARD, and many times is over material that she didn't even cover in class. AVOID HER...
TERRIBLE PROFESSOR!
Great Teacher. Knows the subject. Though moves fast to cover the contents, but always makes out time to answer your questions. I learned a lot from her. Once you are serious and studies, she is nice. Choose her class. You won't regret it.
Going into this class I thought I would fail based on how difficult chemistry is to me. I absolutely loved this teacher and learned so much from her. She explains things well and teaches you what you need to know for the class. Weekly QUIZES help you stay on track with lessons.
DO NOT take this lady for your Organic Chem. This class is a pretty tough class if you don't take a right professor. And Just so you know, she's not the right one. She talked so fast that she DID NOT care if anyone could understand. She expected students know the materials before coming to class, so what's the point of going to school?
she is nice but her lecture is very disorganized and confusing. She talks WAYYYY too fast over her powerpoint and you will have no clue what she is talking about. I love Chemistry, I just can't stand this professor. She does NOT know how ro teach and does NOT care whether her students understand or not. If posible, DON'T take her or you will regret .
She's one of the most awesome professor I had during my first college semester. Be ready to listen because she's fast, practice the problem she gave one, prepare for weekly quizzes, prepare for the prelab, and practice the sample example. You will get an A for sure! I rarely read my textbook, but many people do. She's always there to help you.
I'm a Nursing major so I had to take Chem1406. Chemistry isn't my best subject, but I managed to get an A. Homework is optional. Labs are easy. No extra tho :( But she drops your lowest quiz and lab grade. And lets u retake a test at the end of the semester. Final was hard, but if u do good on other test. Your grade should be fine.
I took Coffman both semesters and would strongly recommend her to anyone!! She is a hard prof and expects you to learn the material but she is also super helpful. Labs are your opportunity to make up for exams. Do every practice problem she suggests because exam questions are similar. She's hard but you can make an A.
Professor Coffman is the best. She's a charismatic, caring, motivator, passionate about chemistry, and so full of energy when teaching. She inspired me in many ways. So, I will continue taking more chemistry classes in the future because of that. Read the book when you don't understand the material and go her office. Do not be afraid! CHEM 1406
Pro. Coffman has a very good lecture notes that she gives out, if you study those notes and practice you should be fine on exam days as well as quizzes. Lab is super easy and fun. I recommend professor Terah Coffman for chemistry 1406
She is very organized professor. She gives extra practice question which if you complete with understanding before exams you can do pretty well.
She is very nice and really wants her students to succeed, there are some things that are confusing, because of the way she explains it, but if you ask her for clarification she will go over the topic again. The class is difficult, but is definitely doable. She is very helpful, and makes the course more enjoyable. Overall great professor.
Professor Coffman is a very caring professor. She is extremely fair when grading assignments. I found her tests quite difficult, so completing her practice worksheets are absolutely essential for her class.
professor coffman is very nice but tests were pretty difficult, she gives alot of practice worksheets that kind of prepare you for tests, also gives quizzes, labs are interesting and fun, overall great teacher.
If you go to class, you get credit, learn short-cuts or easier ways of learning. Plus she gives you plenty of handouts to practice and gets it right.
I had her for Chem 2 and it was her first time teaching the class in 10+ years. It was very difficult. The "free" textbook offered by Richland was horrible so I ended up using a different book to learn the concepts. Be prepared to dedicate a good amount of outside learning/studying to get an A. You will learn a lot, but it will not be an easy A.
Her tests are hard but you will learn a lot. In the final she curve a lot and everyone have a chance to get at least a B or above.
Professor Coffman is not an easy Professor will not review over tests and will not review over chapters you have to learn everything yourself she just gives what you need to do and teaches very fast by the time class ended about 3 different topics are discussed would not take her again
Worst Professor ever do not take her
Does not have clear grading rules and tests are not reviewed and forgets quite often
bad professor overall
One of the worst professors grades behalf of how you look rather than the work itself and does not like helping other students prefer giving handouts and let the students figure out how to do the problem and also suggest F's rather than A's on the first day would prefer everyone to pass with C's rather than A's was definitely the worst professor
forgets just about everything but makes her students memorize just about everything do not make this mistake and do not choose her.
By far one of worst professors at Richland and teaches word for word from the textbook her class is not fun she makes sure you follow the rules exactly one minor mistake and get a point off your grade do not make the same mistake and take her.
Here's the deal, be ready to learn by yourself. Her lectures are often confusing and unorganized and she goes WAY to fast. If you barely made it past Chem 1411 this is not the class for you. However, it is not impossible to pass if you like learning from the textbook and doing worksheets over and over that is her learning method.
Ok. If you must enroll in her class, bc of scheduling, work whatever. Work on her powerpoints in ecampus before she teaches that material in class, ppts are made by Rice university so you know it's quality material. Do not trust her on teaching you stuff, do it yourself first, then let her put the seal over the knowledge. You can do it. Good luck.
lectures are succinct, to the point. Be prepared to spend time working the problems in the book as well as problems from handouts. Professor provides lots of helpful handout, reaction maps to help out. Tests are not easy but professor allows plenty of time for test. Professor is available through office hours and email for help with questions.
This is a self taught class. She went so fast during lecture even for herself, she made many mistakes during lab/lecture which made all of us confused and frustrated (even online). I only chose this class because it was the last one available(I can see why). Stick to The Organic Chem Tutor on youtube for better explanation and you should be fine.
Well, I should have listened to comments before enrolling in this class. Is true this is the worse professor I ever took. She is very stubborn and doesn't accept any wrong or misspelled or any type of incorrect problem. It has to be right in order to get the problem right. And me being a chemistry major, I put in lots of effort into each assignment
I hardest class I took this semester. When she grades she does not give back feed back, just a bunch of random numbers. She grades her labs very tough. Also, she is not very clear in the instructions on how to do the labs. She does respond to emails fairly quickly. I do not recommend taking her class online. She can catch an attitude quick.
She doesn't teach you anything you have to teach yourself. She grades really hard and you have to do it her way. Doesn't give you a review or anything and expects you to learn from a textbook. One of the hardest class I have ever took in my life and she doesn't try to help. If you have this teacher good luck or dropout ASAP.
Literally the worst professor, I have ever had! I always did good in science and made A's, but with this teacher, I wouldn't surprised if you tried your hardest and still didn't get a good grade. She grades so hard, no mercy will be shown! expects you to learn on your own and half the things in slides would not be on the test. So many assignments!
worst teacher ever.
All I can say is save yourselves! you must do things her way or it will reflect in your grade. You can't pass tests if you only read slides and textbooks. I have never made a C in college and this was my first one and believed me I tried my hardest. If you take her be ready to stress and maybe cry yourself to sleep after the first test.
She does not know much but asks you to memorize everything.
She's a great person, but I don't think she understands that a lot of us aren't chemists. Everyone fails the tests so she ends up curving the test like 50 points. She also grades the labs super hard. I'm usually an all A student and got a C in her class.
Ochem is probably the hardest class I've ever taken, but with Dr. Coffman it was great. She lectures very quickly, so ask questions in class. She is very accessible and often stays after class. Every test and some quizzes are curved, if you attend every lab and make 60+ the first test, you're nearly guaranteed to pass the class.
Do not take this prof for an online class. Students could not access the online homework at the start. Very tough grader. Everything has to be done exactly her way. For the labs you have to take pictures which is fine, it just shows you are actually doing it. But one of my pictures was apparently incorrect so she gave me a zero on the whole lab.
Cons: Labs: Labs are great but not when she wants 10 photos submitted for one 40 minutes lab that turns into 2 hours. Exams: If you are not good at math in CHEM, do not take her online course. Be good at sig figs. So much homework. Pros: She's good at communicating. I barely passed. Never taking chem in a 5-week course again.
I love the professor so much. She has made this semester a lot less stressful for me. Mind you this is my first semester and I was very scared taking chemistry because I heard alot of "bad" experiences with chemistry. She is awesome, its just that the learning is a bit hard but its manageable, YOU JUST NEED TO PRACTICE, i mean its a core class
She is really hard to keep up with, she'll carry on to the next material as long as one of her students is understanding without taking into consideration the rest of the class. She also goes over the material for the second exam before she has even given the first exam. She's very understanding and willing to help her students pass.
Professor Coffman was the first professor I had at Dallas college and she was great. As long as you do the homework and follow along in class you'll easily make an A. She gives an absurd amount of extra credit and its easy to pass the class with well over 100. She is very relaxed on how labs are done as well.
Nitpicky with confusing instructions. The workload was a lot for the first week. When students are first learning about these online classes, she gave us 2 chapters to read, 4 quizzes, 9 HW reviews, and a self introduction page written in 1 week. She wants everything formatted (correct file, size, some in a single file, etc..). Stay away.
Make sure you have a folder for her class because there are a lot of papers she hands out(almost all of them are just papers you keep for extra help not even homework). There are a lot of homework assignments so if you are a full time student, good luck. Not a bad professor but she rushes her lectures.
It was a mistake taking this professor. There is way too much work in this class. The professor is also extremely nitpicky and takes points off for the most minor things when there are a lot of mistakes I have to point out on her assignments.
If you want to take this professor as an online class, think again. There are so many assignments, quizzes, and labs you need to do each week. It will not be good to take this class online especially if you cannot learn something by yourself. You will need to spend a lot of time each day until the class is over. Too much stress and anxiety.
Very easy class taught by a good professor. Anyone complaining about difficulty simply didn't dedicate any time to learn the material at home or study.
Her exams were so hard that she had to adjust the curve for each exam. A lot of homework every week. I got an A but it was hard, and if you work I think it is not a good choice. She is not at all understanding when you explain something personal to her, and she is very rude through emails, it seems like she always wants to fight.
Be prepared to work hard in this class. While the professor is generally helpful, the workload and grading can be tough. Utilizing resources like unstuck ai and the textbook can go a long way. Attend class and stay on top of assignments to have the best chance of success.
This class was awful, the amount of silly work you had to do before you even started an assignment blew my mind. I actually wanted to learn and sadly took nothing away from her class. I think she probably has a passion for chemistry but her lack of kindness when asked a question truly deterred me from getting the most out of this class.
Really easy to score above a 100 on her exams, she curves the highest grade to a 100 and the lowest to a 60 so it's difficult to fail, plus she gives a bonus on every exam just for reading instructions, and quizzes are bonuses for the exams. Homework every week and the due date is kind of funky. Labs are really easy(bit boring) and done in groups.
She is a professor who cares a lot about your understanding, but she does not have a lot of class time. However, she makes up for it for fun labs, good practice exams, and easy to understand material. You do have to do a lot of work though. Stay on top of your work and ask questions and you will pass easily.
