I thought he was an awesome teacher. He helped me with everthing and answered any questions I had. He was also very good with keeping the class involved. His teaching styles were always changing i.e one day would be going over a chapter,then we would be watching a a movie,then it would be going over some examples of an idea. He was awesome overall!

Dr. Leary manages to create an atmosphere that is relaxed, but still very conducive to learning and participation. He also manages to present material through many different types of media (books, lecture, open discussion, movies, etc.) so everyone has an opportunity to learn regardless of their learning style. Proffesor Leary manages to teach well enough throughout the course. However, he has asks us to prepare ourselves for events or presentations, and pushes those events back for days or weeks. This aspect of class is frustrating, as I would much rather have presentations done and over with asap. Overall however he is a great teacher.

This professor is awesome. By far the best that I have had here at Edison State College. He cares about his students, and their future well being. His class room setting is great with active participation every class. You have to study for his test but through participation he constantly reviews what you need to know. Overall take his class!!

I feel the teacher really tries his hardest to reach his students. Theirs no doubt he is an effective teacher. I have learned a lot and enjoyed going to class. Now and then he can repeat himself, but that stuff is usaully on the tests. I think out of all teachers I would choose gim over anyone.

I feel that this professor turned a class that could be very boring into a course that when I am able to attend it I look forward to it. The class periods are 3 hours long so that is a pretty difficult task. Also he is a very understanding teacher and very helpful. His concern is on us learning the material not failing us. I advise you to take him.

I had Prof. Leary a couple of semesters ago for Human Growth and Devolopment and for General Psych. I found his teaching style professional, informative and easy to understand. Dr. Leary teaches at Barry University, FGCU, and Edison College. He does a fantastic job at all 3! I feel he is very passionate about teaching. His delivery of the material is exceptional. What a great class! Dr. Leary truly loves what he teaches. Class participation is huge with class discussions and answering questions. He makes learning the material fun and interesting.

Dr. Leary (i-o psych FGCU)provides a positive learning environment through student participation and feedback. The topics discussed relate to the psychology of work, but they can be applied in almost any setting and include race and gender issues. There are no tricks in this class, if you pay attention and engage you will do well.

Dr. Leary ROCKS! Whether it is Barry or Edison,you will learn allot.He keeps you motivated and relates the course to the real world! He wants students to succeed and is always available to assist.
