IF YOU HAVE HAD ANY EXCEL AND ACCESS EXPERIENCE ITS ALMOST A WAIST OF TIME, IT IS SO EASY. THE TESTS COME STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOOK AND SHE LETS YOU PRINT THE POWERPOINT NOTES OUT FOR THE TESTS. TAKE HER CLASS FOR SURE.

Don't take her! She never emails you back and if she does it takes a week! Her tests and quizzes are tricky. DO NOT TAKE
No Comments
She's the best teacher I ever had at GPC. You really need to attend class. If you do, everything you need know for test etc. gets thorougly covered.
You would have to be nearly brain dead not to pass this course. Test are open note and open book but not necessarily easy. She is very helpful if you do the work. If you don't, you pretty much get what you deserve.
The class is a joke - if you complete the workload, which is reasonable, you will make an A (or B). DO NOT expect any help or feedback from the Prof - she is non-existent. WARNING: Watch your grades, she has a mental block with averageing grades.
VERY slow grader. You never know where you stand. She is very nice, but it takes her FOREVER to get back to your questions!
Takes forever to grade anything! You never know what your grade is! She is a nice lady but it takes her forever to answer your questions!
she's really nice and will let you make up anything you miss, she also gives extra credit radomly, things like being in class when there is hardly anyone there. deffinately keep track of your grades though, she's kinda flaky
The class was cool. I learned a lot. Prof was helpful but not overly so. She definately expects you to put forth a little effort. Keep up with assignments and you'll be fine. Don;t keep up and you'll be toast.
Awesome. Learned lots. Do the homework and the class will be cake. Teach was cool.
wonderful lady. I took her online and got an "A". She is crazy (in a fun way), but she really cares and will help. Will let you make up work untill the end. She is "Super Adams" Take her you will learn access and excel with a breeze!!!
Online class was a breeze. Everything is straight forward from the book. Read the chapters (at least the summary). Reviews for the test are basically the test and you can do everythin @ your own pace. If you need help just email her. It might take her a while but she will get back to you.
Best teacher I've ever had a GPC. Knows her stuff. Treats you like an adult. Workload is very bearble. If you complete the assignments you'll have no issue and learn alot about spreadsheets too.
Easy Peasy...do homework...you will learn...quizzes are open note...
Great teacher. She makes what you need to know so clear only a moron with half a brain could not understand the material. Quizzes are over text. Homework is easy. If you don't do well in this class.... leave college!!
Awesome class. Learned a lot. Instructor is very helpful and understanding! Thanks Ms. Adams!!!
Great professor! she is nice and helpful...I didnt really try nor did i purchase the book, but amazingly i pulled a B somehow...i think everyone that had a book pretty much got an A!
Easy as hell. I would recommend taking this class online with her to not waste your time. Test and quizzes are easy straight out of the book, open notes! Quizzes are online so you get your score right away. She fails a bit on grading assigments because you really get them late but they easy.
Great, you will like her.
Excellent teacher. An easy "A" in the class
Easy A. Does not care about attendence. No need to buy the book, just an overall easy class
Online. Third graders could pass this class. Allowed to use notes for quizzes, and books to take Access and Excel finals. Assignments drop dead easy (time waste for those Office literate). Slow to post grades (two weeks before end of semester), but let us know she was having technical problems. Great overall.
Awesome class, awesome instructor, all-in-all awesome experience. I wish there were more professors like her.
Great class! I learned so much. Good instructor; I took online and was always able to get in touch w/Ms. Adams via cell phone. She is a little unorganized nut very understanding. Easy A if you do the assignments.
Test are open note and open book but not necessarily easy. Ms Adams is very helpful but you really need to do the homework. If you don't, it will be hard to pass the test. If you do, the test are very passable.
She is really chill! Does not get really worked up about anything... So go ahead and take her!! Seriously! You may have to do work in class but nothing crazy! I took this with 5 other classes and got an A!!
Take her online. Very helpful! She understands what an online student mean.Thank You very much for giving me some extra time to finish my work during semester. Great online class.
Easy class. Provides PDF tutorials to study for Access and Excel projects. Takes long time to grade, though. I enjoyed this class. Test questions are from the textbook reading.
Ms. Adams was a wonderful teacher. I took her online and the exams were righ on target. The only problem is that she takes a while to return grades for the projects she assigns so you may not be sure of your grade until its too late -just before the final!
This is rate my professor not rate my course. The course is easy the professor sucks. She takes way too long to grade papers. And doesn't respond well to emails. She explains nothing. The course is online and there is no interaction from her at all.
SIGH.. Took her online and was sorely disappointed after reading all the happy reviews about her on here. Lies! Lol... She's nice and means well, but teaching isn't her thing. She doesn't interact with you. Course itself is not hard, but if you're serious about college and learning, avoid. If you like teachers feeding you answers, then yay for you.
This class was relatively simple. You do have to read the text book as all the tests are based on it. The pdf files for the access and excel portions are a little tricky to understand at first, but email her your questions and she gets back with you quickly! I recommend this class.
Prof was great just don't expect her to babysit you like your high school teachers. If you put forth some effort & do the work she's supportive & helpful. Projects require a lttle thinking but aren't that bad if you've completed the tutorials. My ad ise don't skip the tutorials...the prjojects will take twice as long to finish.
I thought both the class and professor was awesome. I was concerned about taking a computer class online but the instructions were very clear. It was one of the most well organized classess I have ever taken. I really enjoyed it. An overall great experience!
She's awesome. Take her class. Did I mention she's awesome? A++++++++++++++++
She is a nice teacher but sometimes is a bit unorganized. She takes a while to grade assignments but is a fair grader. Overall I think she is a good teacher and I would recommend taking her course.
Unorganized, links/video's don't work, delayed grading, inconsistent assignments, not helpful at all, Access project instructions unclear and don't work properly, delayed response to emails and when she does either rude or makes no sense. Not a good professor AT ALL!
Ok heres the deal. If you have any experience with Excel and Access you will be fine. I had none and took her online and passed with a B. Grading is a little slow but with the clarity of the assignments you should know how you did. Do not discount the book it is necessary to pass the tests but not so helpful on the projects. Overall good class.
Grading is very slow for the Access projects. Do not discount the book it is necessary to pass the tests but not so helpful on the projects. Test questions are straight from the book and Access Final is from work done on all Access projects. Must refresh Access skills before taking the final. Drops the lowest test grade. Should make atleast a B.
She is an awesome teacher, took 2nd half semester and got A, just did all assignments every week.
I took this class online. Liked the course. Loved the Prof. Assignments were well-written. Tests aren't easy but fair. Professor was very knowledgable and able to answer all my questions. Overall, a very positive experience. My final grade was a B.
Ms Adams is nice, professional and fair. I made a B. The one problem I have with the class is the exams are too long (75 questions)with maybe 75 minutes to complete. Although, it's mostly multiple choice The questions are critical thinking and required more time than given. She gets back to you quickly with email and grading time was adequate too.
Horrible!Very stressful! She opened 12 discussions on Saturday afternoon, due on Sunday at 11PM.I wasted the entire Sunday on those discussions. On another occasion she opened 15 dis. on Fri 5 PM, due Sun.Could never understand why she wouldn't open them during the week.Tests:50 difficult questions-60 min time allowed.the high rating in here?Mystery
I like Prof. Adams, she is very nice. My only complaint is about her tests, there is not enough time allowed to complete them. Every exam (5 of them)has 60 to 75 questions, too much in my opinion. I suffered serious test anxiety every time and worked too hard for the B I earned.
She gives you 5 test which would be okay, but you don't have enough time to complete the test and double check your answers. She gives 50 questions to complete in 60 mins. keep in mind you are covering 6-7 chapters at a time plus she doesn't keep the material in chapter order.
** TAKE THIS CLASS/TEACHER ** Here is what you need to get an "A", basic MS Access skills. The test come directly from the book, review them please. ** TAKE THIS CLASS/TEACHER **
I enjoyed the class. I learned a lot. The professor was very knowledgeable and helpful. She gives a lot of tests. But if you're prepared for them they're very passable. The only test I did really badly on was the one I didn't study for before I taking it.
Professor Dams is GREAT!!! She teaches by power point so if you listen and take notes you can pass the test there wer 4 test multiple choice, midterm/final is soley access and notes are allowed during test so thats an easy A. She was very helpful and gets the grades back to us by next clas. Overall I would recommend her to anyone very nice lady.
*ONLINE REVIEW* This class was very hard. The teacher was not helpful. Your basically given a huge textbook and your suppose to memorize all the information for the test. She does not give study guides and there is no interaction between student and teacher. The class might as well be taught by a robot. *AVOID ONLINE AT ALL COST*
Took this class online. I sat in one of her classes though. Yes she teaches by powerpoint & gives you what you need to pass. When I took her class online I was going thru family emergency and I still passed with a C. I STILL hate i didn't get this VERY easy A though.
I took her class online. It was not very difficult. Required a lot of reading and tedious little tasks. Anyone who didn't get an A or a B did nothing throughout the course.
This was an easy going class. I took it during the part B fall semester online. The first two test are over the book. If you take notes you will be prepared for the test. Lab work and the Database work are very easy.
I had class with this professor Spring of 2012. It was an excellent class. The professor really made the material relavent and interesting. I highly recommend the class and the professor.
SHe is very helpful.Responed back quick if you email her. Must use book to help you learn and powerpoints. The only thing that was hard was prodject which I went to tutoring to learn how to do.
Professor Adams was great. You'll do well if you complete the assignments.
I TOOK HER CLASS FOR HALF THE SUMMER AND I MUST SAY IT WAS VERY EASY AND STRAIGHT FORWARD.SHE ALLOWS YOU TO TAKE PREASSESSMENTS ME 3 TIMES AND IF YOU GET AN A ANY OF THOSE TIMES YOU RECEIVE 4 POINTS ON THE TEST.THE FINAL WAS OPTIONAL(YOU COULD REPLACE A TEST GRADE IF YOU SCORED HIGHER ON THE FINAL).MANY EC OPPORTUNITIES. TAKE HER AND YOU WILL PASS!
No excuse to get anything below an A. Easy class, clear directions. I never even bought the book, although I'd recommend to buy it.
easy class/ instructor, allows multiple attempts at assignments including quiz's. her class can be overwhellming in the begininng but gets more clear. Easy A for sure! took this class in summer online.
This is the EASIEST class I've ever taken. I had no true prior knowledge however all assignments are easy! I hardly used the book at all and if I did, I merely skimmed through and found the correct answers. If you get anything less than an A, I really have to say that you didn't even attempt to pass. Even with minimal effort you should get an A
As someone is not really into technology, I did not find the class to be an "easy A". My final grade was a B. But overall it was positive experience.
The Microsoft Access part of this course is very hard. But the professor is very helpful. Every time I got stuck trying to use Microsoft Access, I called her AND that was a lot!
Nice lady. Quick email response. Helps those who want to do well! Was NOT an easy A but do the work and you will be fine.
I had taken this class online. The instructor was very nice and communicated effectively. I was very new to Microsoft applications, but did very well than expected. You will be successful in this class if you participate in the discussions and complete the review assessments. Read the book! I received an A in this class and would recommend.
Just finished the half semester summer class. 3 "Simnet" lessons, 3 microsoft access assignements, "simnet" exam, 4 quizzes, 2 tests, extra credit is available and final is optional (if you take it, it will replace a low test grade). NOT as easy as people say but manageable. Look over powerpoints and book. Great class!
I didn't thing the class was easy at all. There are several quizzes which can be taken twice. But they account for only as small part of your grade. Most of the course grade(over 80%) was based on 3 major exams. The exams were much harder than the quizzes. There's no do overs on the exams. I blew the 1st exam and barely made a B in the class.
This class is an easy A. All the exams have similar questions to quizzes. You have one week and unlimited time to take the exam. There is no way you won't get an A if you use your resources and time wisely.
The class requires a lot of reading but is bearable. Quizzes are not easy and very detailed. However, they'll prepare you for well for major exams. Major exams can be taken once. Quizzes can be taken twice. Quizzes and exams were timed. Quizzes can easily be completed within the allotted time but felt rushed on the exams which 50+ questions.
One of the easiest classes i've taken in my college career. She had us do a simlet assignment, 3-Microsoft access assignments, and 6-Quizzes (3 attempts) and 2 Exams and an Optional Final. Material is really straight forward. TH hardest thing that you'll do is the Simnet assignment and she curves that grade. Minimal work put into a half term course
I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT THIS CLASS WAS AS EASY AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. BASED ON OTHER STUDENT COMMENTS I THOUGHT I'D GET AN A. IN REALITY, I GOT A C IN THE CLASS. IF YOU DON'T READ THE BOOK YOU WILL NOT DO WELL ON THE EXAMS. THE PROFESSOR WAS VERY STRICT ABOUT DEADLINES. IF YOU MISS QUIZ YOU CANT MAKE IT UP.
Doesn't respond to emails in a timely matter. Doesn't post Simnet grades until the class is nearly over. Doesn't explain the Microsoft assignments clearly. Class gets easier when you start using the book. If taking online be prepared to do it completely by yourself. If you're a hard worker and know Microsoft Office you can pass. Try different Prof.
I took this class as a half-semester class. You have to complete a lot of assignments in a short amount of time. But the professor is very accessible. She doesn't mind a lot of phone calls . Assignments and exams are graded automatically which is nice. The pace of the class is really fast but I enjoyed and learned a lot especially about Excel.
The amount of work required in this class is a bit overwhelming. There are weekly assignments in addition to several quizzes throughout the semester. The professor is very helpful but cuts you no slack on the schedule. It was definitely a time consuming class. But I can honestly say I learned a lot and would probably take Prof Adams again.
SO EASY! only a few very detailed Excel homeworks. book quizzes are available to find infoanswers online. optional final, lowest test grade dropped. I would definitely take again!
Lots of quizzes and homework ... which is a good and bad thing! The bad is something is due every freakin week! The good is if you take a nose dive on one or two of them it won't kill your grade. Overall one of the best online courses I've ever taken. The course setup was the bomb! It was sooo damn intuitive I wish every class used it.
Online semester Do-able workload It's MS Excel and some textbook stuff! SIMnet- lessons, projects, quizzes, 1 exam ICollege-8 discussions, 8 matching quizzes (lowest dropped), 4 review quizzes, and 3 exams (lowest dropped) Assignments open early so you can work at your own pace. IF YOU NEED THIS CLASS, TAKE IT WITH HER!
Interesting class. Lots of assignments. Time management is a must. Tests aren't easy peasy but passable if you read/study the textbook! The prof was helpful and knows her stuff. Class is always more interesting with a professor that has real work/field experience and not just a brain-filled with "theory".
Easy A, but don't process on simnet projects and lessons. As soon as it opens up hope on it. All quizzes concepts can be found online no book needed. Amazing teacher definitely wants to see you do good.
Read online textbook chapters, weekly vocab quizzes, 3 exams, 1 project, (final exam optional), VERY helpful (has a checklist and reminders to help students stay on track), easy weekly discussion posts (no word requirement), responds promptly to email, takes a while posting grades, makes sustainable business environment subject fun and interesting!
You will need to read. However, if you are good with excel then you will ace homework. Remember vocabulary etc and you'll pass the 4 quizzes. 2 tests-you need to do more than memorize. optional final exam
Professor Adams was a great online instructor.
BISM 2601 was a very interesting class. I learned a lot. The workload was a bit heavy but not unreasonable.
Professor Adams is totally top-shelf! She' s a great teacher but more importantly she's very supportive. I had a lot of technical difficulties at the beginning of the class. She helped me resolve my issues when no one else could or would!!
The course was great. There's a lot of assignments in excel but it's really easy. You instantly know your grade w/ a chance to retake for higher grade. This class really made you think when it came to discussions but there were no right/wrong answers, only your opinion. She provides the pdf textbook so save ur $. Best part she curves. (Half Term)
The class was a bit tedious with all the Excel assignments but not horrible. This class was a half term one, so procedures may be different in a whole term class but she does not respond to emails quickly and there are almost no updates on the home page. This was a completely self guided online class. She does curve, so that is nice.
I really liked the course and I hate computers. The course interface was great! I always knew what was happening and when. The professor provided lots of resources such as tutorials to help with computer assignments which I needed and really appreciated.
Great course. Course interface was amazing. Very easy to navigate and understand.
Two thumps up! I learned more than I anticipated learning; especially where Excel is concerned. The best part of the class IMO were the discussions; both interesting & incredibly relevant.
Class is two things: learning Excel and reading the textbook. She's very well organized, and very hands-off. Can take quizzes (not exams) 2 or 3 times; so with Excel stuff, getting 100 should be easy. Book quizzes are different each attempt, but multiple choice. Exams ask same questions as quizzes. Questions can be tricky, so read carefully.
Class interface looked cool and different than other classes. First half of class going over the book stuff was the harder part. You have to read a lot to make sure you pass tests. Second half you strictly just learn how to use excel with a program called SimNet. SimNet is very easy to use and while tedious, it does a great job of teaching.
Took for a half semester. Requires alot of work. 8 discussion, 2 replies on each. Quizzes on every chap, test on every 3 chaps. Most answers online. Simnet program is required after the midterm and very time consuming a minimum of 1 hour per lesson. Very helpful, replies on texts instantly. Lowest test grade dropped.
Although there's a bit of reading in this class, it isn't anything overly crazy. The class is very well structured. Very hands off class! Nonetheless, this was an amazing class! You'll end up learning some moderately advanced things in excel halfway through the class. Just put in a bit of extra time to learn it and youll ace the class easy!
Enjoyable class. Learned a lot. Lots of assignment but manageable. Online textbook needed to study for the quizzes and exams.
Great class. Lots of Excel assignments. Keep up or you'll be overwhelmed.
I like how she grades. She always send us reminders which is awesome. The course is easy and sometimes can be a headache. You just need to do a lot of reading and take the time. It may take you one to two hours just to complete an assigment. Other than that I liked it.
Best teacher, take her to boost your Excel skills.
Class expectations were clear. Professor was very organized and responsive. The course work is rather time consuming. There are a LOT of assignments and quizzes. Spend the time necessary to complete the assignments and you'll should do well in class. No late assignments allowed. So keeping up is important!
Class split into 3 sections throughout the semester. First you do textbook stuff, then you do excel, then back to textbook. REALLY easy class. Not a lot of work, just do it and get an A. Gives lots of chances to get an A. Discussions due every week there is an assignment due, not when you're doing excel. Discussions are participation, again, easy.
I like this Professor. She responds on time and actually wants you to pass her class. Class act.
Mrs. Adams was wonderful. The class is pretty easy and the final is optional. Mrs. Adams is very good at communicating everything that needs to be done. Only thing I did not like was the simnet excel assignments and tests. They were really annoying and the program sucked.
Very laid back! The only thing that bothered me was the simnet assignments the program sucks but it is very manageable. CONNECT is very easy ! due dates are simple but if you miss a deadline its 10% off of your grade! I would take her again!
The course assignments are open book and easy to get a 100 on if you try. The excel assignments are easy enough, but the excel exams can feel cheap sometimes (you can't work something out, one click wrong and it may count the question as a miss). It's a pretty tough subject but focus and work and you'll get through with an A.
First, foremost, shes condoning and does not have clear instructions to ebook. I have taken several online classes with ebooks and never had a problem just ordering directly from online curriculum instead of having it sent in the mail. Advice to professor simplify your instructions not everybody is tech savvy. Cheers
Instructor is very accessible. Class is well organized. There's a lot of reading. But if you read the instructions and materials, you'll do well.
THis class is based off of simnet. Alot of work so get ahead if you can cause some of those assignments might take a few hours. Her email response time is quick but she didn't give me a grade for one assignment that i did and i ended up having to take the final. The work is easy it's just alot of work.
She is well-organized so everything that's assigned and due will be right on the homepage. For homework assignments & quizzes, you can use the online textbook and will have 2 attempts. There was only 2 exams with 1 attempt and a last optional exam. There is also Simnet work, which will include Excel lessons, practice, and quiz. Take her! It's easy.
She is amazing, the only reason I have a B is I didn't turn in any of the projects which are 10% of the grade. She gives many opportunities to turn in late work (for a 10% deduct) and things such as amnesty. Connect assignments and quizzes are easy, be scared of Simnet though
Please, if you have another option, TAKE IT!!! She barely replies to emails. She posts stuff last minute before the due date. She does not help you with anything if you have issues understanding something. She will tell you to try again by yourself. DO NOT trust the rates. I hated this class. Take someone else instead.
The class covers MIS concepts, Excel and Tableau. There is a lot of reading and several assignments. If you do not like to read or tend to procrastinate, do NOT take this class online. There are several spreadsheet projects ... some of which are extremely time consuming and difficult. The professor is not flexible when it comes to due dates.
Professor Adams is very friendly and approachable. There is a lot of homework but the professor was very helpful.
This class has a lot of assignments. But the instructions were clear & the deadlines were reasonable. I had a lot of questions as a non-Excel user. The instructor was very responsive to my email & chat requests even on weekends. The virtual help sessions were especially helpful. I learned a lot. I would recommend this class & instructor to others.
do not recommend
I took the class Spring of 2024. Textbook quizzes & exams are primarily MC. The textbook was boring but reading it is necessary to do well on the tests. There are several Microsoft Excel assignments. Some of the Excel assignments were time consuming but worth the effort. I learned a lot of very useful skills. The professor was uber responsive.
I took this class for DE just for fun and I learned lots about MIS and excel. Connect gives you a textbook, but the summaries can get you through the assessments. Everything is open note and she organizes icollege and connect for you. I did not have to interact with her much, but she is accessible and always sends reminders of due dates.
Very fair and understanding. There are a lot of readings and Excel projects are very time consuming. Tests and homework are based on the textbook. Highly recommend taking her.
Professor Adams runs a well-organized class. The textbook and Excel assignments are essential, but with help from the instructor and resources like unstuck AI, you can stay on top of things. Overall, a rewarding learning experience.
Be prepared from a time-management perspective to spend a couple of hours a week doing assignments. Most of the assignments aren't terribly difficult, but they take a fair amount of time to complete. I learned a lot of useful Excel skills which I use on the job. I emailed and spoke to the instructor a lot. She's very helpful.
The teacher is really nice and the course load is managable but the platform used is a bit outdated but the quizes are really easy and 2 hours per week for this cource can help complete all assignments! Its a free credit
I took this as a summer class virtually. There are two separate parts to the course: computer knowledge and Microsoft Excel. They are completely separate and don't relate to each other. It's a computer that grades everything. The computer part is multiple choice, but the Excel part is all instructions and is often graded wrong by the computer.
I really enjoyed this class. dont get me wrong I hate Excel, but it was actually easy as long as you concentrate on the videos and follow the steps exactly. It might look confusing at first, but it becomes easy to understand. She always responded to my emails within a day or two. I definitely recommend this class.
