she is a great teacher for ethics 125 because her class is easy. All you do is watch movies and write "one page" papers about them. You write the paper, you pass the class...simple. There is also in-class group work which is reading from a book. How easy of an "A" is that?

Great professor, she helps you out a lot and does not ask a lot from you. the movies you watch are pretty good and all you have to do is write a 1-2 pg paper on them. the group project you do is pretty easy, as long as your group-mates do their part too. Great, kind, sweet and caring professor. I got along well with her. The material is very interesting and is beneficial to us a students. I learned a lot in her class and it opened my eyes to many things. The class load is very light and all you have to do is keep up with it and you will receive an A. She is also very understanding. One of the best.

She was a good teacher. She did have her days, but I know for me she was very helpful. She did her best trying to help every student pass, but didn't take kindly to disrespect and lateness.

Very easy.Her tests are all multiple choice,& she gives you the vocabulary words to study. She also gave us the questions for one test to study with.Easy grader with the papers and gives a quiz every week and drops the 3 lowest grades. Hard on grading. Tests are easy as long as you read a chapter like once or twice. Her notes are worthless. Midterm and final is terrible. Project she wants us to do it just too much for Ethnics class. She takes her subject too serious forgetting that we have other classes. Overall if you ask for help, she will notice you and know you was trying.

nice professor but just like every other human being, she can be cranky sometimes. dont be disrespectful to her and be on time. textbook is a must. remember to always address her as a "professor" or "doctor" cos all professors deserve to be called by their title cos it is not easy to earn a phD. overall, she is a great teacher.

i took this professor two semesters in a row she is a great person in general. her work is easy, she tells you the questions on test. the only reason y i think shes getting bad reviews is either the people didnt go to class being the reason why they faild test or they didnt read the books or ddnt pay attn. Really good professor, requires you to be respectful, do all your work, read textbook chapters, be on time and participate. If you follow all this steps you will learn a lot and earn an A. Her lessons are clear, exams are easy as long as you study. She also guides you step by step for the final paper.

this was an interesting class. you need to keep up with the notes and the text book because the questions from the quiz are directly from the notes and assigned readings. the films that we watched were interesting as well. I'm definitely taking her again for next semester.

Just go to class, remember the vocab, pay attention to the movies and follow directions. She bends over backwards to help you do well: the tests' structures were formed by our votes, and she tells you how she wants you to write essays. EASY class.

She is really cool. She asked what we liked about professors on the first day and took everything we said into consideration for the semester. The class is really interesting. The lectures aren't long. Theres only 4 test and you drop your lowest grade. Don't have to take notes. Just make sure to read the book!

Professor Booker was my favorite professor in my four years at John Jay! Her take on the material is nothing short of compassionate. Her grading is clear, and assignments are easy. Just give clear feedback, and she will reward you. Overall she's a genuine person, and you will enjoy the class. If you had a problem in her class, you just didn't care.

I have had the pleasure of being in Dr. Booker's AFR 229 and AFR 110 classes. I deliberately took her class again because I loved how she taught her 229 class. I hold a great amount of respect for her because she is one of the most compassionate and understanding professor's here at John Jay. She loves what she does and it shows through her work.

She is an amazing teacher for me, in my opinion, I am a current freshman and her class is my favorite, its one of the ones I look forward too. She is reasonable and understanding but not idiot, do not take her for granted. How you approach her and precept her is on you. She can be the sweetest or the meanest, like I said it's on you. Attendance - 5%, Internship Site Recommendation Form - 10%, Journal Check-Ins - 15%, 3 presentations - (20% each; 60% in total), and Final Exam - 10%. There're 2 group presentations & 1 solo presentation, along with a 2-3 pg annotated bibliography each time. Of course, she makes you work for your grade! Overall, she's a great professor!!! :)

Although there's no need to buy a textbook, you're required to buy a pack of 3 X 5 index cards & 2 one-subject 8.5 X 11 inch hard covered marble notebooks (1 for class notes and 1 for journaling). Most readings will come from scholarly sources accessible via JJC databases or the web FOR FREE. Prof. Booker makes you work VERY HARD for your grade!!!

I took Dr. Booker's class in the Fall and I have to say that I loved the class. If you put the time and effort into your studies you will get an A. If you're the type of student that doesn't participate, read, or study this is NOT the class for you. The textbook is required and you will use it.

Shes just amazing. I loved going to her class. If you do take her make sure you do the work and read the textbook it helps you understands her class more.

Dr. Booker made taking an online class in the summer very delightful. It helps being interested in the subject to begin with in order to take on the readings and other assignments. She's a fair grader and very responsive in the event of an issue or question. T

You just have to do exactly as she says on tests and assignments. There are three tests and one final, if you do good on the tests, no final. If you take final, lowest test grade is dropped. You can argue test grades to get points back. She gives you the test questions a week before the test, absolutely no phones or she adds a test question.

3 books that you can get on amazon for $5. Assigns small simple readings for the next lectures as homework. She gives 3 simple test based of the readings and movies we watch in class and assign 2 small Writing assignment that are also simple. In class we watch movies like Boyz in the hood". I definitely recommend taking her, you won't regret it.

I took this professor online and she was AMAZING. She constantly encourages you with personal emails when you do well and helps if you need it. Very caring. Very well organized too as everything for the week is organized into folders so you know exactly what you need to complete by the end of the week. Love love love her

I took her as an online class, so she pretty much put everything on BB. Textbook heavy, without it you'll fail. She's very organized and puts everything you need to complete in a week in a folder. Keeps you updated for things that are due and is always accessible via email. She grades tough, but if follow her direct instructions you'll be fine.

Professor Booker is very organized & you must do all your readings she assigns or else you wont pass her class. No textbook is required the readings are posted on blackboard. You have one midterm, one paper/ presentation , & a character presentation to do for her class, no final. Just follow all her instructions & you will get an A in her class.

Like others have said she is passive aggressive and comes across as rude in her emails but she was also silly and kind when I reached out to her. There were weekly readings, discussion boards, a project, a paper, midterm, and final. She also gave extra credit opportunities. She gave options for the final & is definitely strict & tedious.

Professor Booker is VERY specific on what she wants in regards to homework and papers, from the type of hyphen to use in the final paper to the font size in the blogs and discussion boards. But as long as you follow the directions and double check the specifications on what she asked for you can pass no problem.

As mentioned, she is very strict on what needs to be done. She is very clear on what she expects and wants to receive from the students. She did help the class bring their grades up and work for their grade for what the current class had recently went through! Havent talked one on one, but I am sure shes great! :)

I don't understand why Professor Teresa has so many negative ratings. She is honestly amazing!. She is a very knowledgeable professor, all you have to do is follow her specific directions for her assignments. She gives standard coursework that is not difficult to understand!. She was extremely kind and considerate towards students' concerns.

before college started I was so nervous because I saw such bad reviews here right after enrolling in her class- but now I'm glad I did!! yes, she is severe and required us to follow her countless own rules, though other than that nothing was difficult. if you carefully read & accomplish the instructions you would easily get an A!!

I really like how she was strict yet caring. You have to work for your grade. Follow her specific guidelines and you'll be fine. She recognizes effort! Prof. Booker is tedious, detailed, strict, and particular but is reasonable. She will expect you to do your work (which professor wouldnt?) Professor Booker is a very nice professor, she does like her assignments done a specific way, which makes it easier because she makes it clear what she wants. I took her summer course and I struggled with the quizzes at first but, they can be found elsewhere *wink*. I attended her office hours which I felt helped, she's not an easy A, but take her!
