Teresa is great. She's ultra organized so you always know what's coming. She's funny and this class has become my favorite, lots of great discussion. Do the work, ask her for help with your papers, you'll do fine.

Loved the class! She spread out the papers so we were not overwhelmed, was very understanding and the assignments were good.

It's only the first week and already I love this class. She's the only prof who even bothered to learn our names or get to know us. we got all our assignments already too. she really seems to know her stuff and loves her job.

Teresa Gibbons is GREAT! She really wants to help everyone get a good grade. She doesn't appreciate students that wait til the last 2 weeks of class to do their papers. But if you diligently work on your papers all through out the semester you will do well. The key is revise, revise, revise, & be open...make the changes she suggests.

She was a pretty good professor. Ask her to look over your papers and make suggestions. If you ask her what she thinks you will get on the portfolio and she says a fairly low grade, it will probably end up being higher.

All I can say is I wish I had her for my 150 class. I have already learned more in this summer session than I did in all of my 150 class. she's great, fun, organized. makes class painless

This prof is extrememly hard. I took my papers to the writing center and they said A's forsure but I got a C in the class. My idiot roomate got a B with a different teacher and he writes like a 3rd grader. She can really help you learn to write but dont expect her to help your GPA.

I think she is a great professor, however, I don't feel she takes writing as seriously as her students do at times. It's mandatory for us to be there, yet she's missed class on various occasions. Aside from that, she is a great teacher who is willing to help.

Professor Gibbons was always willing to help improve your papers. However, it was hard to judge your progress throughout the semester which can result with a surprise grade come the end of the semester!

Prof Gibbons was okay. I was thought I was pretty good at writing at the beginning of the semester, however it never seemed like i knew my progress, she was always giving corrections but with no clear opinion. She's not the best, but it's not the end of the world if you have her.

Just when you think your paper is done, she tells you something else to improve. BUT in the end, you'll be glad because your papers will really be good. She's helpful and really seems to like students.

Great professor in the beginning. She really knows what she is talking about. However, 2 days before my portfolio was due she had me change my research paper topic and I pretty much had to start my paper over two days before it was due,when we shouldve been working on it all semester..only thing I didnt like about her. Other than that, shes great.

Loved the structure of the class. You get alot of time to work on papers while the prof helps you. she would sit at the computer and actually give suggestions right there. Very helpful, not much lecture. Great class to take in the summer. Also, prof is very friendly and laid back, very organized. watch your attendance though.

The class isn't hard and she's very helpful, especially if you meet in her office hours. She even gives xtra cred. You need to actually go to class though, takes attendance.

She really gets to know her students. She alwys asks about how you're doing before getting into class work. I dropped my other 150 prof to get into Teresa's class winter sem. She does take attendance tho.

she was an ok teacher but VERY bias. She favored the boys in the class for sure and gave them re dos on papers and easier grading on them. she was a good teacher as long as you can put up with her favoritism.

The class is set up so you revise papers a million times. Kind of frustrating, but you realize the more she reads your papers, the better your grade will be. She is very helpful and flexible about dates, but attendance is mandatory. I recommend Prof. Gibbons very much.

We could write about any topic we wanted and she would always help us revise papers. Theres no busy work and she really seems to care about your grades. She is a good teacher, but not so nice. She was sweet at first but as the semester has gone on she is now very condescending whenever I ask questions. I feel like she has given harsh feedback on my papers because she does not agree with my opinions. She tries very hard to pressure you into taking your paper in a direction more pleasing to herself.

She was very helpful and always willing to take papers on her own time to continuously read and help to revise. Not an easy course and she made it a lot easier. She was always very nice and helpful whenever I needed help . There were very few times that I had to email her because she spent time with every student while in class. Great professor!!!!

Prof Gibbons is a hard teacher, but she helps you. She gives awesome feedback on papers. If you ask for her to read your paper before turning it in she will do so instantly. For Writing 098 and me personally not being a good writer, she helped me a lot.

First of all, nobody likes WRT 150. You basically spend all semster rewriting the same 3 papers. So you want to find a prof who will help you and wont make class too horrible. Professor Gibbons is that professor. She tells you all assignments on the first day and she helps you to get the work done, which i needed. very nice lady.

Good class and she was definitely willing to help. There are certain days when she would get frustrated with certain students or topics but was always willing to help anytime with a paper! A nice lady to get to know!

writing 098 was a good choice for me. The class was not hard and I really enjoyed having Mrs. Gibbons even at 8:00 in the morning. I really didn't love this class but I loved the teacher. She is nice and fair and smart. She really makes class useful and doesn't waste time with busy work. My best advice is to go to her office hours and really listen to her advice about starting papers early and putting time in early or you'll be overloaded at the end. Take it from me!

Professor Gibbons is awesome. Writing 150 is something most freshman dread but she really makes it bearable. She gives AWESOME feedback, and shes VERY organized. She makes sure to see all your papers 3+ times. You can tell she really cares about her students and as long as you put in the effort, you shouldn't have any issue getting a good grade.

I failed 150 last semester and now I know why, I had the wrong prof! My old professor didn't do anything - he didn't teach us, just expected us to know how to write. She genuinely wants you to do well in this course, but if you skip class a lot she won't help you as much as she may help students who show up and do their work on time. She does go pretty quick at the beginning but its nice at the end of the semester when there is not much left to do. Ironically, my least favorite class but most favorite professor. She is organized and clear and caring. She never sits at her desk. She moves around during class constantly to try and help every student. It's not an an easy class but she knows that and pushes you to keep making progress all semester. TAKE HER!

All I can say, is listen to her! She warned us on the first day that this class was going to be harder than we thought. She always gave really strict deadlines and lots of feedback on papers. At the end of the semester I would have been dying if she hasn't pushed me all semester. She has taught the class forever and it shows. She knows her stuff.

I found this class tough in general. I feel like she didn't help much with revising my essays. Nice lady, but not my favorite professor.

Professor Gibbons is very nice and knows how to teach a college course well. She holds your hand throughout the semester, willing to help with anything you need. Sometimes I found the classes to be a waste of time; she would keep us for the full 2 hours to independently work on our papers when we could've done that on our own time.

Gibbons was a good professor and gives lots of good feedback. You write 3 papers throughout the semester and it's essential to get her feedback on your topic before you begin thoroughly writing. She can be a little confusing with her feedback because she can't say she likes something one day and decide she doesn't the next. Go to her office hours!

She does a good job at providing help and is very accessible. Due to how the class is structured, there isnt too much instruction time during class, a lot of it is independent work and you ask for help when needed. I felt that both of the books I bought were a waste of money, as I used one of them once, and never used the other.

Highly recommend Prof Gibbons! She was incredibly helpful with every assignment and understanding with our schedules constantly offering extensions. The layout of this class is stressful because of the multiple essays at once but Gibbons made it much easier to handle by constantly helping each student in and out of class. Take her if you can!
