The best teacher at Ramapo College. She explains hard concepts very well, is extremely hopefuly if you're confused, doesn't assign homework, her tests are right from her notes (no book needed) and she has some good stories too.

Professor Hutchins is an excellent teacher. She uses modern "examples" to get you to grasp the meaning of something. Her classes are fun/entertaining and yet very educational. I'd recommend her to anybody!

Puts EVERYTHING on the board, no surprises on tests, but tough grader. A lot of work on 3 long, very researched papers. Don't need textbook. Am taking her for the 3rd straight time because she created a great environment.

She is the best! Don't buy the book!! Never uses it, instead puts all notes on the board. Test is straight from her notes. People complain that she is too hard, but really all you have to do is study the notes she gives. Uses every day examples and explains everything crystal clearly. TAKE HER!!

Before typeing this I tried to find one single thing that I don't like about the class or her. I can't.. she's fantastic.. She's clear, concise, and teaches economics as a social science.. the way it should be. Minimal math.

Hutchins is great because everything is so straightforward and clear. Your grade is based mostly on 3 tests which are relatively easy if you pay attention in class and study somewhat. Most of the class is just notetaking and paying attention. Reading the chapters is optional because she teaches the material so well you wont need to.

Not an easy class, but Prof. Hutchins does a excellent job teaching it! Take notes and study before the 4 tests and you should get an easy A. Remenber microeconomic is NOT an easy class... Amazing prof. and willing to help at anytime.

Had Prof. Hutchins for numerous classes. Treasure her - she is amazing. Class is straight forward, easily understood, your expectations for work are laid out for you - if you manage to do poorly, slap yourself. Own up and take the pain because she will do backflips for you - very personable.

Nice lady, class is laid back lots of notes. 2 tests and 3 papers. Tests are really easy, based off simple quizzes each week, easy stuff she even curves the quizzed at the end, plus drops the lowest 2. THE Papers howeve..she is a tough grader and expect allot on papers. I got a B. take her shes laid back and nice

Professor Hutchins is a wonderful teacher. Microeconomics is not an easy topic but Hutchins does an excellent job in making the topic as interesting as it can be. Also get the iClicker she gives you up to 40 extra credit point throughout the semester which helps your final grade. Don't buy the textbook either!

she makes the class interesting. she teaches the material clearly but some of the test questions can be a little confusing. no paper and no homework. gives lots of opportunities for extra credit.. she's super nice and very helpful.

One of the best professors at Ramapo. The subject IS somewhat difficult but she tries to make it easy for you. Writes notes on the board for you to copy. Gives away TONS of extra credit points with the iClicker q's. I got B/C's on the tests but still managed to get an A- in her class. DEFINITELY TAKE HER!

The concepts are really hard to understand, but she does her best with examples to make sure you get it. you don't need the book, tests are pretty hard. The class wasn't easy, but microeconomics isn't either and she does the best she can to explain it.

she is an overall great quality professor. she takes hard, boring concept and makes them simple and interesting. likes to use a lot of Ridgewood examples, her hometown. tests are multi- and decent. but the iclicker for ec it will help

I took Dr. Hutchins for micro as a freshman and have taken her twice since for international and industrial econ. Great examples, always willing to offer extra explanations and help.

She is extremely funny and nice... dont let her cool personality fool you though.. you MUST study for tests... but she will always help you if needed. doesnt really use textbook, great notes

Hutchins provides many examples and answers any questions you may have. You don't need the book because all the tests and assignments are based on the notes she gives you. Although, the tests are somewhat hard with class averages of around 75-80s. Also, she does not provide any review sessions, she just says what's going to be on the tests.

Really awesome professor! She really explains challenging concepts easily with cute, quirky examples and cares about her students. Tests are fairly easy as long as you study. Make sure to do the postings on Moodle. Lots of chances to boost your grade with iClicker questions !!

Awesome professor even at 8 AM. Teaches through her own notes, everything is so clear and understandable. Study for exams from PPTs she puts on Moodle and you'll do great. Makes class interesting and engaging! Wish I could have her for every class! No need for the book but you definitely should make an effort to go to every class.

Professor Hutchins is incredibly nice and has a good sense of humor. She makes micro as interesting as possible (let's face it, it is quite boring). No textbook (dont buy it). Just get an iclicker for extra credit points (definitely worth it)

The class is very easy with minimal assignments. There are 2 exams and a final that is not cumulative. She's very helpful and tries to keep the class engaged. She also offers extra credit in the form of i-clicker questions. Don't really need the book, she never refers to it. Take her class!

Love professor Hutchins! She gives great notes! I never referred to the book! There are three tests, some articles to read, and BWAC requirements that are super easy. on top of that, she also gives extra credit with iclicker questions that help a lot. TAKE HER

She slowly writes her notes on the board every class and are the only info needed for passing the class., you don't need the textbook She also really knows her stuff. Her assignments are pretty average difficulty, but not too many Rarely homework. Only three tests, no quizzes Show up and copy the board and you'll get at least a B- Also extra credit

Take her for Microeconomics! I would take her for all my subjects. She is the best teacher I have ever had. Totally worth waking up at 8 am for this class. She has funny, interesting examples. You have to study for the class and come to class but you will learn & improve you skills. This is NOT a waste of time. I would even take class again!

She is an amazing teacher. After taking Macroeconomics and hearing that Microeconomics is even harder, I was so scared to take this class. She is not an easy teacher in whose class you can just slack off, BUT she is extremely helpful and clear with what she talks about, so getting good grades is easy. She provides opportunities for extra credit :)

Loved her. I was afraid to take economics because I've never taken it before nor am I an economics major but she made the terms extremely easy to understand and used examples to make it even easier. Tests are 40 questions with 2 essays which weren't too bad. I would highly, highly recommend her for non-econ majors. She makes it very simple.

Professor Hutchins is hands down the best professor I have ever had. Econ isn't my major, but she made it so easy to understand and she made it FUN. She's the sweetest professor on campus and I've actually had the opportunity to take her twice (Microeconomics and International). If you can take her class DO IT!!

She's a great professor, but her exams are hard. She's a good lecturer but if you don't get the lectures, you will not pass the class. She is always open to extra help and seems interested in getting to know her students.

She won't hand you your grades, but she explains everything so clearly and gives study guides that prepare you so well for the test. She's a great teacher and is willing to help out as long as you voice that you need help. She'll help you get the best grades that you can. My favorite teacher thus far.

Professor H. is by far the best professor. She presents her material in an organized manner and provides relatable examples for each topic she discusses. Her tests are not walk in the park, but generally not too bad if you understand her class lectures. Overall I am blessed to have had her as a professor and to be able to take her class again.

The course material is not the easiest to understand; however, she does a splendid job at breaking everything down by providing a plethora of examples. Class consists of 3 memos, 4 current events (1 being a SMALL, SMALL presentation), and 3 exams. A huge plus is that we used iClickers, so you can earn extra credit points. LOVED her and the class!!!

She cracks the whip in International Econ. Class consisted of midterm, final, weekly quizzes, foreign currency trading assignment, and two papers (one with executive summary). She drops the lowest two quiz grades and doubles the highest. Her lectures felt dry in this class... had about 10 pages of notes PER LECTURE. A lot of work but love Teresa!

If you show up to class and take notes and look over them you are definitely going to bet at least a A-. She gives extra credit points almost everyday. She really likes to involve her class when lecturing.

She uses lots of examples during class which are helpful to understand each topic. Assignments are pretty easy and she'll give you a good grade as long as she sees that you put in effort. Exams are pretty tough because the 'study guide' is always just a list of the topics on the Exam, I think I would've done better if she gave us practice questions

Most of the class is pretty easy such as doing current events and memos. However, her examples of things could be a little hard to understand if you don't have an economics background. Some of the tests were pretty hard.

Professor Hutchins has very dry lectures but don't let that stop you from taking her class. She gives so many real current examples and will keep giving them until you get the material. You have 3 tests, 3 memos, and some mylab assignments. The final is your 3rd exam which isnt on the whole class. Super sweet woman. would take her again.

Professor Hutchins is a great professor. Highly recommend! You have 3 tests the third one being the final, 3 memo assignments, and homework on MyLab which don't take very long. She is lecture heavy but gives great examples to help you understand. Overall I would definitely take her again.

Professor Hutchins is a good professor. She lectures the entire class which can get boring but she gives good, sometimes funny, examples to help you understand. The class is made up of three exams which aren't easy but aren't too hard and three memos which are fairly easy. As someone who despises economics, she made it bearable enough.

Professor Hutchins is amazing, I would definitely recommend any student at Ramapo to take her microeconomics course even if you are not an ASB major. Regardless of the situation we were put in with the Coronavirus, Professor Hutchins excelled at teaching the subjects required in a way that allows the student to get the most out of the course.

I absolutely loved Professor Hutchin's microeconomics course. I would definitely take another class of her's; she really cares about students and the material she is conveying. She always integrates useful examples with each of her lessons and is always clear of her expectations. She is one of the best professors I have had at Ramapo!

Professor Hutchins is very nice and lenient on grading compared to other professors. Just put in the work and you'll be fine. The only thing I would say is that her lectures are very boring so be sure to pay attention. However, even if you do miss something she always posts her lectures and her tests are online.

She is a very nice lady. The homework she gives out is very manageable, and the exam questions are from the myLab homework. Just understand the basic concepts, and review the myLab homework.
