Very easy teacher if you go to class and try... very willing to help
my friends mom hehe- shes nice. mention how much you love debate and shell love you
Great teacher. you will learn a lot. she teaches history like a story. no memorizing dates because she cant remember them either
She is a wonderful teacher! Very nice and interesting...never bored in her class. Good teacher to take even if you are not a history person...and even better if you are!
Excellent! If you take anyone else then you are making a mistake. The History department needs to get rid of some of the dead weight and place her on staff fulltime. Hello history department are you listening?
If you pay attention in class, you will do well on her tests. Her homework is easy. Just do not talk in her class.
SHE IS AN AWESOME TEACHER!!! I ALREADY LOVED HISTORY BEFORE HER CLASS BUT SHE MADE ME LOVE IT EVEN MORE. I RECOMMEND HER TO EVERYONE SHE IS VERY EASY AND HER TEST COME STRAIGHT FROM THE NOTES. SHE REALLY CARES ABOUT HER STUDENTS AND WANTS THEM TO DO GOOD IN HER CLASS! BUT AN A IS AN A RIGHT!!
An awesome teacher! She loves history, and gives the notes like a story. gives a review sheet for the test. Multiple choice and fill in the blank(w/word bank) test. Homework is super easy. Loved her! Cares about students.
This is who u want to take for a History class. Make sure u go to class and take good notes because she gives u a review sheet of EVERYTHING thats going to be on the test from your notes. So if u want a good grade i'd suggest that u take this professor!
SO EASY!!!!!
She Doesn't make you remember exact dates. Her test are very fair and mainly multiple choice.
The most structured Professor on campus. By all means get into her class, but show up everyday because test are from her notes only. If you are there to take the notes then the review sheet she gives out will tell you what to highlight from the notes. study one day before the test and you get an A. I am sitting on a 100 avg. greatest prof.
She's a sweetheart. You can easily get an A. Tests are easy as well as homework. I highly recommend her. She's very understanding and open. I loved her!!
made history seem fun
If you can't pass this class, drop out, your doomed to a life of manual labor.
Take good notes in class and you'll be fine. Its alright to skip once or twice...but don't make a habit of it or you'll miss out on all the important stuff...and do the homework assignments...its an easy A
Dr. Leslie is the BEST history teacher I think I've ever had. She makes class interesting by telling stories realting to the subject. Her tests are really easy and she gives you a study guide before every test. As long as you take good note you'll do great in this class
VERY SWEET AND VERY FUNNY!! This class was so easy and actually kind of fun(as fun a history can get) she tries to help in any way. i was in a car accident and couldn't attend class for a couple days and she e-mailed me the class notes!!! Take this class!!!
She is freakin awesome! If you need to take a World History class she is the one to take it with, but act quick cause her class gets gone fast!!
Dr. Leslie is one of the best teachers I have ever had! She is easy but at the same time she is very intresting and you learn alot! She is funny and understands that not everyone is a Historian! TAKE HER!
take good notes, read notes, and you will get an A. No dates to memorize just names and she is very good about answering questions and emails.
She is a great teacher. I loved just listening to her lectures. Her lectures are like listening to someone tell a story. She makes it very interesting and fun. I would recommend her highly.
Nice teacher.
Not orginized! But easy!
This lady was fantastic, I was scared of an all lecture class but she made it so interesting and as long as you have the notes, or a friend with the notes, you're golden. And the homework on WebCt are very simple. Take her for history for sure! I wish she was teaching HIST 1112 next fall :(
Dr. Leslie is a great, laid back teacher and I reccomend her to anyone! She gives study guides for her tests, extra credit opportunitys, and very little homework. As long as you come to class, take notes, and study you will get an A!
Love Leslie! My favorite professor
she is by far my favorite prof at west ga, take her and u wouldn't regret it
This Profesor is amazing. She is very helpful and easy. Attendance isn't mandatory but a lot of test questions come from the lecture. I would advise anyone to take her. She's fun and interesting.
She comes to class everyday in good spirits. You can tell she loves history. You need the book becuase she give online quizzes that are EASY,as long as u have the book because the questions arent in the notes. Her tests are easy!! TAKE HER!
Great Teacher. Just go to class, take notes, do homework assignments and you will have an A! Easy grade...And you actually learn something because ahe talks like its gossip instead of lecture..
Awesome teacher. Very nice and actually makes history somewhat interesting. Tests are easy if you just study her notes (all tests some straight from notes).Take her if you can!
Amazing. 1-Go to class take the notes. She gives you all the notes you need to ace the tests. 2-Do the homework asignments. Do both and you will definately make an A. And she is very nice.
I have had her for both her survey world history class and upper level classes. SHe is wonderful. However, she does go off on tangets where your not sure if she is rambling or giving information for the tests. She is really nice. Definatly take her
Easy teacher. If u want 2 get an easy A=go 2 class everyday, take decent notes & study everynite. Homework quizzes are from the book & its an easy A. Her tests come straight from the notes & she tells u whats going 2 b on the test. Take Dr. Leslie for History b/c she is easy & sweet. :)
GREAT TEACHER!!! take her if u can, very easy and her class is actually interesting. she doesnt take role but stuff from class is on the test so u should go, tests are not hard...i love her, i wish i could have her for every subject. need to use the book for assignments i never bought it just used someone else's book
I LOVED HER. I LOVED HER. I LOVED HER... sHE IS SO NICE. hER CLASS IS EASY. hER STORIES R GR8. Shes a nice old lady. Id take her again just cuz...
LOVED HEr! EASY EASY EASY! would recommend her to anyone!!! easy A if you go to class and study your notes
Leslie is a very good professor. She is very clear and Test are straight from her lectures. She is clear. You would need to attend class inorder to pass unless have a friend to get the notes from. Overall good professor
~Very friendly professor, BUT: ~She doesn't stay consistent with any information being taught ~She puts information on tests that isn't even in the book or any of her notes from lectures ~She only gives 3 tests but hardly any homework ~She told the class even with 3 bad test grades u could pass the class based on homework,SHE LIED ~avoid this prof!
She is so great and love the subject she teaches on. I think that she does and excellent job in teaching and if you study her powerpoints you will get and A+, She is also very understanding and patient. Take her!!!!!
Dr. Leslie is awesome- to the person that said she lied- no she didn't- you wanted her to bump you from a 52 to a passing- get real. I HATE history but I really enjoyed story time with Dr. Leslie. Super easy if you just show up and STAY QUIET!
She is super easy and you dont have to go to class!
I adore this woman! I am not a history fan by any means but I loved her class. Very easy to understand, willing to help you in any way she can, and her lectures are SO easy to follow. If you fail, it's because you didn't show up or study at ALL.
I love this woman! I really don't like history at all but she made it so easy. She will do anything in her power to help you, her lectures are very easy to follow, and she's an all around good person. I would take her again. If you fail, you didn't show up to class or take any time to study.
Probably the easiest World Hist teacher. Take her. I got a high B and only got A's and B's on her exams. An A is DEFINITELY POSSIBLE. You have one quiz a week which are online and you need the book. We shared the book between a couple of us so you don't really have to buy it. I got good grades on her quizzes because they're EASY.
She is super helpful. I had loads of personal stuff going on this semester, she worked with me through it all. Very understanding, extremely helpful. Her lectures are fun and interesting, very easy to follow. Homework and quiz was kept to a bare minimum, all open book. I would say taking her for this classes is worth it.
She was amazing. Super helpful and nice. The test came straight from lectures best teacher I have ever had.
GO TO CLASS AND YOU WILL PASS!! She even in MOST cases will tell you to write the information down. GO TO CLASS AND YOU WILL PASS!!!
She is wonderful! Easily the best teacher I've ever had. She is more than willing to help anyone. Her tests and weekly assignments are extremely fair. You will never have anything on a test that wasn't clearly gone over in class. Go to class and listen and it's an easy A!
Awesome teacher. She is straight forward, if you attend her lectures and write notes you'll be set. History is one of my lesser subjects and all i did was read over my notes and her power points and i got a 101 on my first test. She is fantastic RECOMMENDED!
Professor Leslie is one of the Best you will find at UWG. - tests are only over what she says from in class Notes, not the book, which means you need to go to class. - she doesn't take attendance and doesn't give homework or Class work, just a couple of online quizzes that are open-book throughout the semester. - She makes her lectures easy to understand and remember. (we call it Story-Time w/ Mrs. Leslie b/c it feels like you are sitting Indian-style in a circle while she lectures. Haha)
She's a wonderful professor! Her class isn't about dates or other boring history stuff; she makes it fun (especially when talking about historical figures!). I am taking another class of hers next semester, and I can't wait.
Her lectures are boring, often spanning the entire class time, and include random tidbits about her personal life (not interesting, btb). However, she posts all her powerpoint lectures online and attendance is optional. Tests are fairly reasonable and it is quite possible to get an A with minimal effort. Definitely recommend as an easy class.
Easy class, and sweet lady! Textbook, which is loose-leaf & can't be sold back, is needed for hw online- such a waste (share with someone if you can). Lectures only, with powerpoint. Attendence not mandatory (but extra credit sometimes if you do). Tests (5) reflect lectures from in class. Extra credit opportunities. Easy core marked off. Take her.
Go to class because she gives extra credit on RANDOM days. Also pay attention to the "story time"
I loved Leslie! This was a super easy class. I did not purchase the book and only went to class on test days and still received an A+. the days i did go she was extremely witty and funny! no need to buy a book, she puts all her notes online-study those for tests. Her quizzes are super easy, just pair up with someone that owns a book! GREAT teacher!
She is an awesome teacher. I usually do not enjoy history classes, but I absolutely loved this class. She teaches history as if she is telling a story. She makes it very interesting, and as long as you attend class you are sure to make an A.
Easy A! She is a very sweet and caring and helpful lady. Hw quizzes online fairly easy from book.5-Tests reflect lectures are multiple choice; she posts all lectures powerpoints online. Attendance is optional, but she gives extra credit opprotunities on occasion for going. I did not buy the book I shared book with a friend.
Stupid Easy. attendance NOT mandatory she teaches off Ppts and puts them online. if alotta ppl skip she'll give extra credit.Hmwk quizzes need the book. book cost alot and only used for quizzes so share it if possible. Test based off Ppts. barely went to class i just memorized ppts got A
She is super easy, i took her spring semester 2013..her exams are all based off of the power points which she posts online if you decide not to attend class. You can do the bare minimum in her class and still pass. She is always willing to help whenever she can although her text book was custom so you cant sell it back. I recommend taking her.
Amazing teacher , easy as long as you go to class. Tests are straight forward . She tells history like a story and makes it very interesting. Love it ! Take her!!!
She is good at telling the story of HISTORY, but as far as the test go, they are straight from the powerpoint, HOWEVER there are so many slides, you have NO idea what to put emphasis on, if that makes since. So you pretty much have to study SUPER hard to pass her test. IF you enjoy history, take her, if not, you could use a better professor.
As long as you study what she tells you in class and then publishes on PowerPoints on Courseden, you should make a good grade. She's very fair. The final was easy; it covered a lot of material though.
She takes about three weeks to grade papers that are multiple choice. I never go to class, but I still study and made an A.
Honeslty she's one of the best history professor's you can take. Tells history like an interesting story and has some useful ways to remember certain things. Uses powerpoints and posts them so attendance isn't needed but it helps. Only downside to this teacher is that she does not give out study guides.
Her slide shows are vague but if you attend class regularly you will understand the information better. Her homework quizzes are straight out of the book you don't even need to read the text just skim. Final is not cumulative. DO NOT TAKE HER BEFORE 10AM. YOU WILL FALL ASLEEP
Amazing!
Three tests. If you go to class, you will pass. Easy A if you pay attention. Very good professor. Willing to help with anything. Also gives extra credit. You will need the book to take quizzes but its right off the text!
Only 3 tests and they're pretty hard. She's a sweet lady but class is very boring and long.
She's really boring. She never takes attendance and puts her power points online so you don't have to go to class. She does give extra credit when there aren't many students there and usually the next class after a test. She uses the point system. Study!! Have to know lots of names but not dates. You use the book for all of your homework quizzes.
Aside from actually treating us like respectable adults, Mrs. Leslie's lectures teach history with an over-dramatic flare. There are never any dates on her exams, but lots of "Who am I?" and match-ups. No mandatory attendance, but most exam questions come from lecture, not powerpoints. Fill-in-the-blank homework from textbook. Won't pass w/out it.
Only three tests in the class, but easy online homework grades and a few extra-credit opportunities will get you your passing grade. I'd recommend her over any other history professor I've had.
Professor Leslie is very nice and laid back. She does everything possible to make sure students do well in her class. As long as you study the powerpoints you can make an A in this class.
Easiest class ever! Doesn't take attendance, posts powerpoints online, exams straight from her lectures. Her homework assignments are super easy and will sometimes give you extra credit just for showing up. Don't let this fool you, she's a very intelligent woman who knows her stuff and loves the material.
Mrs. Leslie was an interesting professor. Her lectures are very boring and bland. She gives 3 tests and a final and some quizzes throughout the semester. She puts all of the powerpoints on courseden which makes it easy to study sometimes, but it is a lot of information to take in. I got a B in the class because i studied hard for the final. study.
Easiest class ever. If you don't make an A, you're just plain dumb. She is not the most fun to listen to, but sometimes she tells interesting stories. Laughs at her own jokes, so it's usually funny.
She's a delightfully weird old lady that normally tends to ramble in her lectures but she overall do PowerPoints and will always put them on CourseDen after class. Make sure you show up to class but people never do and if you're there she gives you easy credit just because you were there when everyone else wasn't. Take notes. Few Test,
Her lectures are long and boring. But all in all, the class is easy as long as you show up to get the notes. Tests aren't too bad
Loved this professor she spins history into really interesting stories. Her test are fairly straight forward. Basically a vocab test if you it boil down. Know peoples names and titles of battles you'll do just fine. She gives extra credit sometimes for just showing up to class. Homework is very important! If you don't do well at it you wont pass!
Very nice older lady. Can be a little boring during lectures, but she adds her own interesting facts and stuff to keep things lively. Posts PowerPoints of her lectures at the end of every week. Pretty easy class overall.
Dr. Leslie was great! She came into the class super chipper and ready for the lecture. She didn't care if you were doing something (like crocheting-eyes to the girl that sat next to me) as long as you weren't disrupting the class. She always has time to talk after class and gives homework over the textbook every so often. Absolutely loved her class
She uses the point system & majority of the grades is the test. You have a homework here and there, but it doesn't count for much. Only extra credit is attendance, which is towards the end of the semester when nobody goes to class. The test contain simple questions from the material in the powerpoints.
Dr. Leslie is an extremely sweet lady. Her tests come off of what she lectures about during class. Do not just copy the PowerPoints, take notes on what she says. She gives attendance bonuses, curved one of our tests, and gave an extra credit hw assignment. Overall, it was an easy class and I would definitely take her again.
I loved Dr. Leslie! She was so sweet and funny! The class was just lectures, but she didnt mind if you did other things while in class, as long as it wasnt distracting to others. Her class was boring, but I'm not big on history anyways. You can skip a class and be fine, attendance is not required. Just study her powerpoints and you'll make an A :)
This class was great, she does give more notes orally than what is on the slides so you need to go to class to pass. The tests do have fill in the blank questions and matching (with word bank). I really liked her, she would tell us stories to grab everyone's attention back. Some homework from the textbook. I am terrible at History and I got a B.
Professor Leslie is simply amazing! She is informal, funny, caring, and an overall outstanding professor. She lectures for the whole class period, so be prepared to take notes. The textbook she uses is free and online. Her tests are easy. There are no trick questions or written responses. Just study the material, and you should pass her tests.
Such an awesome professor! If you have friends that have taken her before, ask them for their exams so you can study them! Her exams are the exact same as past ones & she passes them back out she has amazing stories to tell & doesnt require attendance
Every day was a lecture day. The best notes to take were notes from what she was saying as well as the powerpoint and not just from the powerpoint. Also, SI sessions were very helpful to study for tests.
Some of the material on the exams are strange, and taken from her stories and jokes rather than the powerpoint, so attendance isn't required but necessary if you want good grades on the exams. She is pretty laid back, and doesn't give a lot of homework. Textbook was a free PDF
The tests are based off the power points. She lectures the whole class but she tries to make it funny. Attendance is taken randomly three times for extra credit. The book is a free PDF so that is really nice. The homework quizzes are straight out of the book and she includes what page they start on. Really sweet lady.
I recommend her. She is a really sweet lady and she lectures from her powerpoints. Some of the material on the test is from things she says in class that are not on the powerpoints but majority of the material is on the powerpoints. Attendance doesnt matter but I recommend going to class because it helps understand the material better.
Professor Leslie is a great instructor and even thinks her class is an easy A. She runs a point system and gives you extra credit attendance points on random days. Her tests are easy and straight from the power points that she gives online so if you miss a day or two it is fine.
I've never been good at history but Professor Leslie was really funny and made sure help her students understand her material. All her power points are posted on CourseDen which really helps with studying. The SI Leader that I had (Madison M.) helped with study guides and she would email them to you if you couldn't attend her meetings.
Dr. Leslie really knows what shes talking about! She will post all of her PowerPoints online for you to see, but you should probably go to class because her PowerPoint may only have a few words on it whereas shell spend 10 minutes explaining the backstory. Her tests are easy if you know the material- not conceptual, all fact-based. Great class!
Dr. Leslie is such a sweet lady. All of her tests come from her lectures and what she talks about in class. She genuinely cares about her students so I HIGHLY recommend her!
Very kind professor. Tests are not cumulative. Lectures are easy to understand, but can be boring, so get a coffee before you come to class. Posts powerpoints, but they're not as detailed as the lectures. Tests are straightforward. Some homework throughout the semester, but it isn't difficult.
Leslie is a great teacher, shell break down materials for everyones understanding. Lectures seem to be long sometimes and you only have 3 papers to write (technically 2) & 3 exams. Going to class isnt mandatory because she posts lecture powerpoints & she in fact states she knows class will be packed on exam day and not any other day.
Great history professor. I really enjoyed her lectures. I always likes history in high school it was easy. She has 3 in-class exams and the final essay at the end of the semester. Show up to class. Be consistent she notices the ones that go to class regularly and she may plug in bonus points to the student grade book for going to class consistenty
Attendance not mandatory & possible to make a great grade. Lectures are easy to understand, if you cannot show up she posts the PPT online by end of the week. Midterm and Final open note online. HW assignments were easy just a blend of journal entries and chapter readings w/questions. Essay assignments give effort and it'll be okay. Great class
Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you want to pass the tests you have to go to each class and pay attention to the lectures. The tests have a lot of questions about what she says in class (not on the PPs) and are worded weird. She doesn't do study guides. Do not take if you aren't good with sitting down for 75 minutes and listening to banter.
She makes history very interesting and entertaining.
Attendance not mandatory-lectures boring-powerpoints are vague so if you dont go to class you might be confused but i didnt go to class for all material needed for a test and just made anki cards from the powerpoint and made a 90 but when i did go to class i made a 77. She is a very sweet lady and is very passionate about hist. barely any HW. 1papr
If you show up to class and pay attention (difficult to do, believe me) you will pass. She teaches from a chair, with a powerpoint and has monotone nailed down, but is kind. She gives homework via CourseDen and nothing too difficult. More like busy work so she has something to grade and it takes forever for your grades to come back to you.
