Very good teacher. Requires attendance and homework. Incredibly helpful. Will explain things more than once as needed. Very receptive to questions asked. Provides study material for class and walks classes through what they should study for each test. Clearly outlines all class requirements.

I have several learning disabilities that keep me from understanding traditional methods, but Mrs O quickly and smoothly found ways to explain everything to me. Possibly the best teacher I've ever had, in my life!!!

MyMathLab is required. Very clear professor. She gives very detailed notes. Her homework are slightly more difficult than what we are given in class, but she does that so you can push yourself. She goes over homework the next class before it is do. Her tests can be challenging, but its college, nothing is easy.

The course was not free as the code was well over $100 which is a joke. However, the professor was very attentive and assisted promptly with any questions or concerns I had. She appeared to genuinely care. This is bases solely off of taking the online course with her. The material is easy enough to learn.

She is a great teacher but she needs to slow down. She teaches very quickly and moves on to topics quickly. Everyone in my class, including myself, seemed to be confused a lot. She does take the time after class to help if you have questions. You will do most of your work online through mymathlab. Attendance is key because group work weekly.

She is EXCELLENT!I took this class online. Professor Overton never sleeps, she will respond to you no matter what day of the week it is and sometimes no matter what time it is. She really wants you to get it and gives you very clear answers to your questions. If you need to take MTT4, definitely sign up for Teresa Overton, you won't be sorry.

She is awesome. Very helpful, kind and understandable. She answers emails everyday and is very open to help anytime. LOved her!!!

She teaches very quickly but always ask if you have any questions and is open to meeting with you after class. All homework is done in my math lab and I would recommend not skipping her class because she goes over a lot in one day. Do all your homework because it does help and so do test reviews. She explains things very well and is helpful.

She is a great teacher. She explains everything very well and thoroughly. The only downside about her teaching methods is that she goes extremely quick. So quick that I was afraid to ask a question because I did not want to interrupt her lecture. What I do love about her is that she doesn't care if you're late, not that I ever was. Well once.

She makes you work for your grade but is very helpful, I wish she taught math 152 because I would take her again! There is a lot of work but she explains it very well and her reviews are very helpful, I got a 64, 69, 74, and a 90 on her tests and a 90 on the final and passed with a B.

Nice teacher and very clear. You ABSOLUTELY need to attend class. Basically if you put forth the effort you will do fine. Slack off then you will fail. She makes it clear that if you need help/ struggling ask her and she'll give you one on one tutoring. Group work accounted for 10% of your grade, HW and quizzes were both 15% and tests were 60%.

Not a big fan of math, but class goes over basic geometry and algebra, so it isn't very hard. Lots of repetitive work assigned on MyMathLab, so get ready to solve the same type of problems over and over. I suggest taking the time to do the practice problems and TAKE NOTES BEFORE CLASS. Ask questions; she's very nice and willing to help out.

I love the way the class was set up with the flipped class, i t made things a lot easier to do. She was always willing to help explain things clearly! test are kinda hard but as long as you study you got it!

Overall, she is a good teacher and I really enjoy the group work in class. It helps us understand snd solve problems all together. She's great at helping with homework and explains problems well. I don't learn math easily and this was great for me.

If you do all the assignments on time and ask questions in class you will pass.

Always willing to help if you reach out to her during office hours or via email. Lots of work and must devote a lot of time out of class. But I was able to pass with her help unlike the first two times I took this course with other instructors.

Practice tests and tests are similar so make sure you do the practice test and go to her office and have her go over it with you. First time I didnt do this and I failed. Second time I did and I passed.

Mtt-4 is a self paced class, with deadlines. Mrs. Overton was very responsive and helpful when asked. She had patience with me when I fell back in the course, and did not pressure me. That being said, I hustled the last two weeks of the course and was able to pass. I would not recommend falling behind in this course. She is awesome!

She is an amazing professor, she teaches all the material clearly. If you ever need her help she is always willing to help you especially during her office hours. The only thing is that all the homework and reviews isnt anywhere helpful or similar to the exams which are worth 60% of your grade. I wish reviews were helpful towards the exams but no.

Listen up!! So I notice that there weren't any reviews for her MTH 154 class, so I thought I'd write this. I took her class this semester and let me tell you, I am personally not that good at math like to put it shortly, I've always done pretty poorly. Man best Math professor I ever had . Take her if you need a good grade, but you have to earn it by doing the work and coming to class on time. All work is completed online on My Pearson.

I resented having so much homework in the beginning of the semester but her teaching style WORKS. Being out of high school for 6 years made me HELLA rusty in math. Prof Overton is fantastic. She responded to me emails the same day, and explained math in a way that's easy to grasp. That being said, you DO have to work for your grade!

I loved using Pearson/MyMathLab. The homework and classwork ensured my success on the tests. Learning true and false statements, old calligraphy methods of numeration, Venn diagrams, and such concepts proved riveting!

I took her Calculus class and she is overall the best professor ever. She makes the material easy to understand. She is always willing to help her students and make sure they understand topics. Her group works and homework are easy and great practice for the material. She gives study guides for the exam which is great practice. Amazing professor.

Amazing Professor! But this class requires a lot of work. Every week has 2 notes, 2 Pre-class, 2 Homework sets, and 2 quizzes. There are 5 tests; one is a diagnostic test which is similar to the college placement exam. Attendance is a must! If you miss a class, it will hurt you on the test. The practice tests are very similar to the actual tests.

Professor Overton is awesome! My class was online, but she was available anytime when I had a question with very clear explanation. She drops the lowest grade. If there is another subject that I can take with her in future, for sure I will take a subject with her. I scared from math at the begining , but she made a great semester for me.

Prof Overton will make you work for your grade but is always there to help you with anything. Gives out her cell number so you can text or call her. I had friends in other sections that did less work but I got the better grade and I am doing better than them in calculus.

I was VERY upset with all the work she gives in the beginning but it WORKS. Prof Overton can explain math to anyone so they can understand it! She also is really quick to respond to questions which she takes both by email and text. But you will need to WORK to be successful.

I don't know why others in MTH 263 are complaining about her. I have failed this class twice before and will pass this time. You will work but if you do the work and get help from her when needed you will pass. She is the best at explaining Calculus (and math for that matter) of any instructor I have had.

Just finished her class. She is tough but clear. Do the work, do the reviews, ask questions, attend office hours and you will do great.

Best Calc teacher ever! Her lectures are clear and it shows how much she cares about her students. Lots of work because it is a hybrid course. But the Alta software is great, easy to use and under $40.

This semester was tough for me and if i could do this class over again and tried harder i 100% would. She is tough but fair. For someone who is terrible at math she made it seem like it was a breeze. You have to really pay attention and ask questions. There are no stupid questions. She will go over it until you understand it 100%.

I took calculus with Professor Overton and loved it. I can see how this class may be difficult to someone who is not the best at math but since math is my favorite subject I loved the speed the professor taught at. It was challenging and exciting and she is always willing to help students. Love her and definitely recommend!

Prof Overton was really an awesome teacher. She genuinley cared and gave us all the tools to do well. She really knows her stuff and has lots of teaching experience. She was always more than happy to answer questions or meet with me during her office hours. The class is difficult, but if you have initiative and put in the time, you can do well.

Prof Overton is the best teacher I've had ever. I have been out of school for 8 years and was able to get a B in her class. Make sure you go to every class. Do all of the homework so you don't get left behind because recovering is hard.

I am finishing up my MBA program and I can tell you this has been The Best math professor I ever took. To this date I still remember her lectures and how clear she made the concepts seen. Math is a challenging subject and if you are not willing to practice on your own time, acknowledge it but do not blame the teacher. She is Excellent!

Simply pay attention and honestly do your homework and you'll do very well. Makes it clear and as easy as PreCalc can be - doesn't overcomplicate the course. You will not pass if you don't do anything - as with any PreCalc course. Very helpful and only wants the best for you but makes you earn your grade. A fine and knowledgable professor.

I truly enjoyed taking her class! I never understood math and have had terrible teachers who's teaching made the topic worse, but Prof Overton is truly a great math professor, especially for taking a college level math class for the first time. Her teaching is very well organized and is very helpful outside of class.

This class was challenging because calculus is complicated. However, the professor did a good job teaching difficult material and was helpful during office hours. Attendance is technically mandatory but not enforced. There was LOTS of homework and notes we had to take outside of class, so beware of that. Overall good teacher, but lots of work!

I expected Pre-calc to be difficult but Professor Overton makes each concept easy to understand. Her notes are clear and really assist with comprehension. Homework can be time consuming but it helps to reinforce and retain the information. Responds to emails quickly. Absolute best math prof I've ever had.

Had a lot of easy discussions boards that boosts your grade, all of the homework is graded by completion. There are quizzes each week that you do on your own and are based on the homework. The exams are also based on the homework. As long as you do the homework, you're good to go. The prof is also really friendly and helpful

Mrs. Overton is an amazing professor! She is very caring and really wants to see her students do well. All of her homework is graded by completion. She is very approachable. The tests can be difficult, but other than that, she is an AMAZING professor, and would highly recommend her.

As someone who is neither good or terrible at math, I was able to pass professor Overtons class with an A. Homework can be a bit overwhelming at times, but it is identically similar to what is on quizzes and mid-term/final exams. Lectures are nice and easy to understand, and she is quick to respond to concerns outside of class.

This class is so hard but Prof Overton gives great lectures and is always willing to help outside of class. Stay up with your homework (of which there is a LOT) and do the practice test like she suggests and you will pass.

I was stressed at the near the end of my semester but she was really patient and understanding with me. If you have problems she is really good with communication and helping you.

I was grateful for her guided notes, and she made it easy to talk to her about any confusion encountered during the lecture. There are about 3-6 homework assignments each week. She does not give any extra credit, but she does provide practice tests. She allows a page of notes to have with you during the test.

Professor Overton is a good professor. Just extremely difficult to get an A in her class. There's a lot of homework and there are practice tests you can take up to 10 times before the actual test. Practice tests are very similar to the actual test. Tests are a majority of your grade so make sure to study and do well on them.

Take MTH 161 with Professor Overton. Her lectures are fantastic and easy to follow, she is extremely kind, caring, polite, understandable, helpful, and responsive. Practice tests are so similar to the actual tests; you can do the practice tests up to 10 times. DO THE PRACTICE TESTS! She also allows you to bring a sheet of notes for the test.

I've taken Calculus three times with three different professor The course is, by nature, difficult and requires far more understanding and practice than you'd expect. She breaks down theories into digestible concepts and spends the majority of the lecture on how to approach problems. You won't find a better teacher for Calc.

She was very funny, caring, and overall a fantastic professor. Her style should be the standard. Best professor I've ever had.

Uses knewton(very helpful).Only assignments are knewton homeworks(3-7/week),discussion post 1-2/week)and the exams(theres 4 plus the final)allows ONE FULL PAGE FRONT AND BACK cheat sheet for exams.I have her once a week. If you can,try to take it twice a week otherwise it is a bit more fast paced.DEF recommend.Sad she wont teach 261 next semester

This class was very easy. She's nice and understanding. She gives like 20 late passes in case you need more time. Quizzes are always open note. There are some fairly easy mini projects that rely on previous homework assignment knowledge. It's easy to get a good grade just do the homework, watch the videos, and turn everything in on time.

She's amazing and caring about your learning, I entered this course nervous about what was going to go on in here, but she made everything very simple. There is a lot of homework and quizzes through the course but there's nothing that's impossible to not complete and quizzes are open notes. Final exam is open notes. would definitely recommend

Professor Overton is an engaging lecturer who breaks down concepts clearly. With effort, the workload is manageable. I found Unstuck study helpful for study prep along with the textbook.

I took this professor for online math and I absolutely loved how she laid her class out, clear, simple to understand, a couple homework, then a quiz, then a project, then repeat. If you like very organized teachers take this class, especially for online! Shes fantastic.

I retook this class because the first professor I had was horrible. But this time I had the best experience ever. The assignment are not only engaging but very helpful too. Honestly, I was worried about taking a math class but she made it really easy to understand. The lectures were really good and the homework makes it so you actually LEARN instead of just getting it over with. Shes open note and is really upbeat and funny. Definitely would take again
