Thought this would be a typical laid back Sat class. That was not the case. Though you can not just sit in the back and not participate, I enjoyed the class thoroughly. She promises to make you a better collegiate writer, and se delivered on that promised. While you have to actually do work, she is a very rewarding teacher.

Ms.Spillers went over the material in each class, and assigned work to make sure we understood. She also provided a packet with detailed information which we could use outside of class.

My instructor was excellent she had a willingness to assist. She is a people person she was not easy it was a challenge and I liked that she broke all the rules down used the book each time. I really started to love Mrs. Spillers I really appreciate and it was a pleasure having her as my instructor this semester.

I entered this class with decent writing skills, but my writing skills have improved significantly, as well as my individual verb choices. She is a very fair instructor and shows concern for her students.

I began this class with fair to above average writing skills, but they have improved significantly since utilizing the formatting outlined in the class. So, i chose ms spillers because of this website. at first i was confused as to why she had amazing reviews but then it became clear that she is an amazing teacher and easy grader too if you do exactly as she says on your paper. overall good teacher. made an A on all my essays so far lol :)

This is probably the only English class that I have ever actually enjoyed. She breaks the process down for you completely and tell you exactly how to write an essay. As long as you write the essay with the format that she teaches you, then you have pretty much passed the class. I'd recommend this class to anyone.

I absolutely loved this class. I was scared at first because she meant business on the first day, but I learned that she only wants you to be successful. She wants you to understand the material. She wants everyone to be not only present but on time. If you can do all of the above I promise you will not fail. You'll leave and learn something.

If you are ready to learn, this is absolutely the professor you need to have. I did not ever think I could put a paper together until I took her. She is there to help and not hurt you. Come to class everyday and on time and I promise you should pass. Make sure to listen and stay focused and you will definitely succeed.

I returned back to school after twenty years. This professor taught English at a level of understanding that has motivated and inspired me to continue on to the Master degree level. We need more professors that are driven as she was to teach us.

She does not mess around: her grading scale is A or F, no in between. She's very clear about what she expects from you and she will give you all the tools you need to get an A every paper. She expects a lot of class participation (acting!) just so she knows you understand concepts, she's very sassy and hilarious. Take her for English if you can!

You will NEED the textbooks, so get them asap as all of her work is assigned from them. Her grading scale is A or F, no inbetween so pay attention. She expects top notch work from you because she knows you're capable of it. Talk to her, ask questions! She will always help you. She's amazing and I'm so glad to have taken her for Eng1010.

I had Professor Spillers for ENG1010 6 years ago and still remember her class well. I have used the basic formula for laying out an essay all through college to this day and still get A's. Granted you will have to develop more complex writing patterns but the basic formula really works. And she is freaking HOT! I love her class and her personality.
