She is so nice and helpful. I took this during the summer session, so it went really fast, so she wasn't able to take a lot of time on each section. She is great with reviews for tests and the final.

I am HORRIBLE at math and the only two math instructors that I can take at MCC are Mrs. Barnes and her sister Mrs. Lindloff (remedials)You can watch the lessons over and over at home and she works with you A LOT.

If math is hard for you TAKE HER. I am horrible at math and her and her twin sister (lindloff) were the only two math teachers I could take at MCC. Although she runs by things faster than her sister all of her lessons are online. I had a 78 and she even let me take make up another test to get a B in the class instead of a C. Very helpful

I am not a math person, but this class was fun and not too difficult. She is very helpful and approachable and does not expect every student to love math. Very good at explaining difficult concepts. Did not like the group test and calculator test, but overall I deffinitely recommend her class.

Outstanding professor. Although her lecture style caters to those who think conceptually and don't require lots of explanation, she is very personable and will happily answer questions. She gives out packets for use on tests, and along with online and collaborative tests makes them very easy. One of MCC's very best instructors.

I took this as a hybrid and was only in class on Wednesdays. I was a bit worried I wouldn't do well because I want to be in class as much as possible to make sure that I'm getting the material down. I took college algebra online minimester with her and she was great!! I haven't done algebra in 4-5 years and her online video lectures were very helpful. As long as you follow along with the notes and watch the videos you've got it! She even made a personal video to give me extra help with a problem. Greatest algebra teacher by far!

I took her Spring 2013 for College Algebra then took her for Trigonometry Summer II. The Algebra class was hybrid and the Trigonometry was online. She makes her own notes and videos and clarifies the in a way that the student can understand. I earned an A for both College Algebra and Trig. I will also be taking her for Calculus I Spring 2014.

Excellent online instruction! Her videos are clear. Instruction provides examples of problems that are on the homework. Test questions templated from the homework. Each test includes a "critical thinking" question that asks you to stretch a bit from the homework template but, bombing that question will not tank your grade.

Wonderful professor! Would totally take her again. Everything is done through Mathlab which makes it really easy to keep track of your work. You get unlimited tries on the homework (20% of grade), two tries on the tests, and one try on the final. If you're struggling, don't hesitate to go and see her. She will be more than willing to help.

Prof. Barnes is an amazing teacher. I am terrible at math, and I passed with a B. She gives you notes and videos of the lectures. The tests were easy. Some were online and some were in class.(I took a half online half in person class). I would recommend her for anyone that isn't so great in math. She is super helpful and very clear on her notes.

Coming from a student who hated math in high school, Professor Barnes was amazing! She goes over your assignment in class and your homework and tests are basically exactly the same. Super helpful and nicest teacher ever! Lectures are mostly her working on sample homework problems with you, tests are based off homework questions. Really easy to get an A if you do the work, but doesn't prepare you for higher math level courses like Cal II if you don't plan on stopping at Cal I

I took MATH 1314 (College Algebra) face to face & MATH 2412 (PreCal) ONLINE during 5 week summer semester and made A's. Mrs. Barnes is the absolute best!!! Take her!! She teaches everything step by step, just come to class. She reviews for tests. She is the best math teacher at MCC. You don't need the book, just the access code for MathLab.

Professor Barnes was the best. I took a different professor previously and stayed lost. Mrs. Barnes posts her lectures online so you can watch as many times as needed. We could do the homework as many times as needed for a better grade. You have to actually do the work but if you do the homework and practice it before the exams, you'll be great.

Professor Barnes was great! Had her online for college algebra. Her lectures are clear and helpful, and she walks you through the homework. And there is quite a bit of homework. She easily accessible outside of class. I hold such a good impression of her, I actually registered for Pre-Cal and Cal I with her. Too bad she wasn't available for Cal II.

Professor Barnes is absolutely amazing I took her all the way up to Calculus 1 and I felt like she was a second mom! I am a dual credit student and she never failed to let me feel involved but also never expected anything less than what she knows we can handle. Will definitely miss her!

Mrs. Barnes is a great teacher, I took 1325 online and 100% of the classs was on MyMathLab. I was concerned skipping from 1332 to 1325 but it was totally ok. She ia very accessible outside of class and gave me help whenever I needed. I passed the class with an A! One tool I utilized was the desmos online graphing calculator along with my own TI-84.

She is the only one to take . Noone cares more than she does. She will help every step of the way.

I took MATH1324 and loved Professor Barnes. Shes very understanding. The lectures are straight off of her powerpoints she posts online. Test are just like homework and she tells you the exact questions to study for the tests.

10/10 would take her for every math course I needed if she taught it. Took this prof for math1324 and if you take math you NEED to pick mrs barnes for a prof. She had amazing lectures and all of her lecture notes were posted online so if you missed something in class you could easily go back and check and figure out how to do something. If you struggle at math do not take this class online because many of her lectures do not explain things clearly, so you will spend more time teaching yourself then learning anything from the videos. I do like that she lets you do homework until you pass & you can take all tests except the final twice. Tests come directly from HW so take good notes

Teri Barnes, AMAZING TEACHER. She was one of the few good teachers that I have had and she will go out of her way to make sure you understand the material. She usually teaches 2 lessons a day. For homework, she gives the same amount of questions she had taught for homework, just with the numbers changed up. Even tells us what questions on test.

Took this in a two week minimester. It was a lot of work but very doable. Videos show examples just like the homework. Exams were very similar to the homework. You get multiple attempts on everything but the final. Best prof ever!

I took this online in a six week summer semester. Watch the videos for the homework and exams and you will be good. You have to log on at least once a week for attendance.

For an online class you will use MyMathLab which I personally like. Professor Barnes also provides you with videos lectures which I found really helpful. I am absolutely AWFUL at Algebra so I'm happy with my C.

Ive had Mrs, barnes for 2 classes now. I took financial math, business calculus, and I am planning on taking her this summer for precal! Overall I would consider her the most understanding and caring teacher I've had at MCC. Her work is very organized, and she is very lenient with due dates. Her homework and tests reflect everything she goes over.

Professor Barnes is an amazing teacher. I took her for 3 classes. Listening to her lectures and following the notes helped me a lot. I struggle with MyMathLab which is where all the work is, but Professor Barnes is patient and understanding!!

Her online class was very easy. You work at your own pace and you have unlimited attempts on homework and two attempts on all tests except the final which was short and easy.

I just finished her online summer calculus I class and I can say that this is a pretty easy class overall. If you watch the videos and ask for help youll be fine.

She's a fantastic professor! She's got videos for each lesson if you have to miss but her in-person lectures are much better, so I'd go to class if I were you. There's homework for each lesson, but you'll go over most of it in class and it is SO EASY. Highly recommend!

I took the 5 week online course over the summer (2022) and I'm not the best at math and got an A! She has notes that are extremely helpful to the homework and you get 2 attempts to each test. The class was very double and she answers quickly to her emails and is very kind. Please take her course!

She is a great professor. I took her night class and she just creates a really comfortable atmosphere. Since class takes place during dinner time, I would bring food to eat during lecture, and she gave me a spare bowl to mix my spaghetti in. On top of that, she was a very patient teacher.

This was my third attempt at this course. My other two were in 2006, and 2007, at another college. This time I received an A+. Her lecture videos walk you through the homework. Her test reviews are the same types of problems on the tests. Unlimited homework attempts. Do the work, watch her videos and you will do fine.

She is an amazing professor! She will be my "go-to" for all my math classes (if available). This is a professor who sets you up for success. She will tell you exactly what she expects. Do not hesitate to ask questions if you have them. She looks at the faces of her students during the lecture to try and get an idea that everyone is understanding.

She's a great teacher. If you aren't the best at math like me, I recommend going over the reviews she has for some tests (practice them until you don't get them wrong) and don't be afraid to go to tutoring for certain questions, sometimes it takes a different person explaining it. Really great professor! She was so nice! Always willing to help. I can't wait to take another of her classes. She structured the class to help all types of students do well. Each test is different. Two are on paper, one is online, one is a group test and then there is a final.

I took this class as a 16-week course but finished it in 5 weeks! It was super easy and not time-consuming at all. I would recommend this class to anyone. She gives 2 attempts on tests, 1 attempt on the final, and unlimited on homework. She also doesn't give extra credit, but you won't have to worry about that because it's easy to get an A.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! I would suggest her hybrid class. I'm sad she doesn't teach cal 2.
