Terina is an excellent teacher! Interesting class.

Very interesting course. Terina is a great teacher, very flexible and easy going. Also very helpful and prompt with replies. You will all benefit from taking this course.

She is helpful and oh so hot!

I thought that she was the best teacher that I had so far at CPCC. Her class was fun to go to and I thought that the way that she handled the class made it fun and interesting. You should take her class if you are looking for an exciting teacher.

Likeable and easy to enjoy. Easy on the eyes..;) (at least for men). Gives a lot of xtra credit oppritunities.

Pretty Easy class... teacher is Awesome. She lets you take test as many times as you would like, and always extends the dates. Very Understanding!

Definetely an interesting course, and slightly challenging, although not too much. She's a very understanding teacher and keeps in close contact with her students, which is a great help. It's also obvious that she loves the subject matter she's teaching!

Online course was challenging, yet her directions are very clear. Lecture notes and discussion boards were informative and helpful. Tests are hard, one has to keep up with the readings and study.

I loved Terina. She is by far the best teacher I have ever had! She made a boring subject fun and I got an A. I def. recommend her!

Excellent instructor. Class is just challenging enough to make you think and actually understand the material. Slacking off in her class will get you no where, but if you work hard you will excel.

Online class wasn't the simpliest, but if you keep up with the reading, you'll get an A. All her tests come straight from the book. You MUST READ. She's was very helpful. I highly recommend.

Was an online class but i tell you what? she is the best instructor i've met to date..i wonder what it would have been like to have her in class..she poses questions that make you sit down and think..a very brilliant woman...wow!..take this class if you want to be an intelligent person! she's good!

Easy online course - Don't expect her to hold your hand throughout the course though... The online version is pretty much an independent study. Easy "A" if you READ THE BOOK! Papers easy - no formal format, and lets you take the test as many times as needed.

One of the best teachers at this school; respects her students enough to consider them able to think; very knowledgeable of her discipline and her expectations are very clear. Her classes are well worth the time/ money, even if you had little interest in the subject.

Most extensive, organized, interesting, and clear online class ever. Professor is VERY knowledgeable, and gives insight beyond the book. She could EASILY be at a 4+yr Univ. Class is paced well, and will keep you working - but worth it! Thought + keeping up = an 'A' ! Teaches you to think in new ways. Great online instructor! No disappointments here

Took the online class. It's not easy, but it's extremely interesting. She does organize everything very good, and although there is a fair amount of reading, the assignments are paced in a do-able schedule. Tests are fair. When taken seriously, an A is a good possibility. If you're interested in SOC, take her class - she's awesome!

Best class I ever took! It was online, but this instructor was wonderful! Not only was it clear and easy to understand, but she was very precise with grading and gives you heads up with everything from the very beginning. Highly recommend her online courses!

This teacher is extremely helpful and wants you to learn. As long as you show up for class and show her you're trying your best- you'll do fine in this course.

I took this class online.This class requires you to write alot of 3 page papers & have to response to @ least 2 people. I wouldn't take her online class if you don't have the time to put into your wrk. YOu will have to put alot of time & work.

cool teacher, easy grader, very nice

She's fantastic, she's extremely nice and animated and you get extra credit just going to class. class is fun and keeps you interested unlike most classes. You have to do a simple 2-3 paragraph online paper weekly, but she grades easy. The tests are EXTREMELY difficult, but she gives you multiple attempts and EC options. i definitely recommend her.

Ms. Lathe is really fun and energetic! The tests are REALLY hard, but there are so many extra credit opportunities so that the average student can bring up their score. Her class is totally interesting and fun, I recommend her a million times over!

Best professor i have ever had. She genuinely cares about her students and the knowledge they get from the class. She grades fair and loves student communication. I would LOVE to take one of her classes again.

SHE IS A GENUINE, LOVING, AND CARING TEACHER! SHE TEACHES A DIFFICULT SUBJECT, BUT MAKES IT EXTREMELY FUN AND INTERESTING. SHE PUTS HIGH EMPHASIS ON CLASS COMMUNICATION AND IS ALWAYS THERE FOR HER STUDENTS. SHE IS AWESOME!!!

Great teacher, and a lot of extra credit which got me an A. She is sweet and kind. I took the class online. Main grade is dicussion board and 4 exam. The first exam was a killer so study. 3 hr timed limit. The extra credit is great a well. Wonderful teacher again.

she is by far the nicest person and best teacher i have ever had. i'd like to see a better teacher than her. That was the one class i was actually sad to leave when it was over.

She's amazing

For meeting once a week, all of the assignments are online. Mrs. Lathe can make difficult material more understandable. I loved Sociology overall but the four exams in this class were hard. Discussion board assignments were easy. Extra credit opportunities at the end helps if you're borderline grades. And class participation is a BIG deal!

I have never had a teacher that was so involved. She kept in touch, always sent encouraging emails, reminded students of due dates, and was all around an awesome teacher. She will help you in any way that she can. The only somewhat bad thing I can say was that her tests were tricky, but so many extra credit opportunities!

In one word: "outstanding!" An excellent instructor. Generous and straightforward. Keeps in constant contact with the class. A+++

Best online teacher I have ever had, full stop. Constant communication with the class and clear explanations of her thoughts as well. Made sociology fun and extremely informative. Tests can be re-taken to get a better grade and extra credit opportunities for each section, very clear due dates.

Another great class with Dr. Lathe! This one was very much self-directed, but she makes all coursework available up front and is very clear with expectations. She's an awesome online facilitator.

Dr. Lathe is so awesome! She was involved on the discussion boards and she got the students to think critically. I felt like a Sociologist when I finished with her class! I was sharing what I learned with others. Dr. Lathe taught in a module format, which is great for working students because she gave me several weeks to complete assignments.

love this class but be on time I was always late she do grade you on attendance but love the class and her !!!

I thought highly of Professor Lathe. She was a great instructor and quick to answer emails. She also was very clear on the material. Definitely would love to have her as a teacher again.

Lathe epitomizes many of the sociological concepts explored in the courses that she instruct; particularly, as it relates to social diversity, objectivity, transparency, authenticity, and academic, professional & social integrity. The learning environment in her classes is dynamic, fluid & all inclusive (an academic panacea for many students)!

Great class. Profesor Lathe is very helpful and caring. She gives you constant emails about deadlines and encouragement. I would recommend this class. I learned a lot in class.

I took this during short session (8 weeks) and there was only 1 assignment due per week, test or discussion board. Both were easy. Easy A. She is also really good about reminding students of due dates and grading criteria.

Very easy class. She sends lots of emails reminding students about due dates. Three tests, easy if you read the book and look over the lecture materials she provides. Discussion boards are lengthy but they are very thought-provoking and interesting.

FAVORITE TEACHER EVER!!!! I would take her class again and again every semester if I could. 100% recommend. great lectures, not enough work honestly, extremely fun, funny, gives great feedback to all her students, and is there for you even after you leave her class.

She will kinda kill you on those discussion boards but you will get a B every time at least. Use the study guides for exam's it's basically the whole entire test. The final paper is your exam and you can use your discussion boards to actually write it.

I took this class online during the Summer. You must participate on the discussion boards and the requirements can be lengthy. But do this, and you will pass the class. Grades heavy off of discussion boards and tests.

Mrs. Lathe was a great teacher! She gave positive feedback and encouragement to the class. Her expectations were clear, given that it was an online class.

This was an online class and I must say she is VERY organized. She constantly sent out emails and ALL of her due dates are very clear. She's also lenient and understanding that we are college students and life still goes on outside of her class. Very nice.

Honestly, I took her Social Problems class online and now I'm taking her SOC-213 class in the summer online. She has one quiz a week and a random discussion thrown in every now and then. grades easy and most of the answers are online if you get stuck on the quiz. If you need an easy elective course (online) this is it!

All you have to do is read the material and do the work! I took her online SOC210 class and it was easy peasy! She is a sweet lady and I highly recommend!!

She is soo easy. I took her online and literally the only thing we were required to do was a discussion every week and thats it. You have to take a midterm and a final online which you can quizlet. Also their is one paper that is super easy to do. Im signing up to take her soc 220 right now ! Easiest class you will ever take. Easy A!

Super easy A if you complete your weekly discussion boards on time. She is a super easy grader. We had one discussion a week that took somewhere between an hour and an hour and a half. We had two tests (midterm and final) that were basically straight from Quizlet. She graded assignment quickly and if you had any issues she was quick to respond.

This course is somewhat challenging, the discussion boards is what gets you to critically think. Everything else is fairly easy as far as the midterm and final exam.

She's an amazing instructor! She gives out online powerpoints and has discussion boards every week, so be prepared to write 300 words for each time. (It's not as bad as it sounds, there are no right or wrong answers in the class, she's just looking for critical thinking skills and being able to form an opinion based on the facts she gives.) 10/10!

Shes a pretty good teacher, her online course didnt have any quizzes except the midterm and final. Only thing she requires is a 300 word discussion board and 300 word reply each week that relates to the topic. There is a book but in my opinion it isnt really used at all until the final and midterm. (Most answers are online). I would recommend it

Professor Lathe is amazing. I took her class online and she is by far the most caring professor I have come across. She sent emails when she saw that you made good progress. I definitely recommend this class! Do the work thoughtfully and get an A.

A weekly chapter quiz, a discussion short essay, then a reply to another student's discussion. Do your work and you'll get an easy A. Quick grader, so your grades are always up to date.

Dr. Lathe is extremely caring. If you read the material and take the chapter quizzes like you are supposed to then you will have no problem passing this class. The discussions are extremely easy as well as the signature assignment. All you have to do is read the materials and follow her directions to get an easy A.

Great course. Recommend reading through the chapter and note vocab to reference in assignments/tests. Helpful to follow her chapter outlines too. Typically read a chapter, take a quiz, and complete a discussion and/or test for each module (multiple chapters). Have to put in effort but totally doable! She will help clarify expectations and help

This was my first class at CPCC and I am so happy I took it with Professor Lathe. Her class was well structured and was fairly paced. Their were only Chapter Quizzes, 4 module discussions, module exams and one Signature Assignment. Honestly as long as you do the weekly readings and go over her lecture notes you are good to go!

Not hard to get an A since one exam, one discussion post, and 2 quizzes are dropped from final grade. A bit unclear on how she comes up with grades on the discussion posts since she gives no feedback. Never had online meetings. Couldn't find almost all quiz or test answers on quizlet so you have to use textbook and powerpoints.

Professor Lathe is an excellent teacher. I took an 8-week class. If you divide your time well you shouldn't rush through her assignments, which are pretty straightforward. Just follow the grading rubric and you'll be fine. She could take time to answer an email, if she does not reply in less than 48 hours, resend it, she may have lost it.

This professor was amazing and her class was easy. You just have to read 3 chapters for each module and complete the assignments. She gave us many opportunities to score better grades. Her announcements are super helpful. The only con from this class is that she requires a certain word count for the discussion posts and replies.

Just to warn any fellow students, LOTS of reading. I mean maybe it wouldnt be too bad but I did take the 8 week course option of this class. All in all not too shabby, professor responds very quickly, not too hard of a class but it can knock you right in the class if you don't pace yourself properly.

I LOVED professor Lathe. She was so caring and encouraging and always made sure I was on the right track and overall was just so positive. There is some reading, but it is very manageable and there aren't too many class assignments. I took her class online and found her very reachable and connectable. I would definitely recommend this professor.

Dr Lathe is an amazing professor who cares for her students. The work is fairly easy, but the discussion posts do have word counts (300+ typically, with a 200+ word response to another student). Usually, you'll only have a quiz or discussion each week. Dr Lathe also drops the lowest discussion, quiz, and exam grade, so there is no extra credit.

Dr. Lathe was very helpful, always sent a reminders few day before quizzes or DBs are due.Have one Essay to completed at the end of the semester. and dropped the lowest grade. Care about students and always sending out reminders. Great professor.

Honestly this class was super easy, I took her at UNCC but still a great class. I would have gotten an A I just did not do a discussion post or the final paper lol not her fault still a great professor highly recommend.

No need to worry she provides great lectures and ask to do discussion with friends. Quiz, discussion, and exam with one paper. Learn a lot about society.

Dr. Lathe was a great professor who was very understanding. If anything sometimes she takes a bit of time to respond to emails, but other than that as long as you stay on top of your work you will do just fine.
