Made political science really interesting. Mr. Mullins makes learning fun!!!

Professor Mullins is the best professor anyone could possibly imagine. He is very professional, helpful, and encouraging. He encourages participation, yet he is sensitive, and gentle if you answer incorrectly during lecture/discussion. He should teach at Harvard...but we are fortunate to have him at Cerritos. You will not regret it!! Great humor!

Makes class interesting and fun to learn. Is down to earth and tells it like it is. Not too funny but easy work tells you exactly what needs to be covered in our assignments

The class is staight-forward. He does all his lectures using powerpoint in outline format so that its easy to take notes. He's easy-going with a good sense of humor. I never once lost interest in the class, even though I had no interest in the subject prior to taking the class. Highly recommended.

Awesome!!! I had zero interest in the subject matter yet I found the class so interesting...which made studying and test taking extremely easy. I wish Prof Mullins taught other subjects. Highly recommended.

Im not a all a pol. science major, but this prof. rocks, almost no homework, and say almost, just because he gives you a couple assays as a extra credit which are way easy, test are in scan paper, just go to class to pass

He's very Funny, good looking, and interesting. We watched politifcal clips from Family Guy and the The Simpsons. He explains every thing so clearly using great analogies. Quzzes are done online, there is no need to purchase the book it's also online @ my Poli Sci. It was about $65 for access to My Poli Sci compared to about $160 4 the actual bk

Very interesting professor.He has such a passion for the subject you can see it when he lectures. Had class from 7-10pm and never was bored once. Easy gave 2 projects super easy.You do have to study for tests but other than that a great class! Great Professor!

Professor Mullins was extremely great. He was clear on all his lectures. The thing is, I wish I could've attended his classes more, because he explained the concepts really well and kept the information interesting. The only thing that is negative is that it takes him some time to post up grades. Take him!

Mr. Mullins is one of the best teachers i ever had because his lectures are so informative and entertaining. I thought this class was going to be so hard, but it was so fun and interesting instead. Tests are easy because you actually learn the information so easily in his class. I recommend ALL students to take Mr. Mullins.

I took him while I was in high school! he is a great teacher knows how it feels about taking so many classes so he makes it fun to learn about Pol sci, he teaches with power point, and shows clips to keep you awake n gives a 15 min break so you can strecth. hes great! =D

EXCELLENT professor. Straight forward tests, doesn't try to trick you like other professors. don't really have to study AS LONG AS you go to every class. i didn't study at all and got only 1 wrong on the test. INTERESTING stories! HILARIOUS personality. he may seem tough on the first day.. but it's definitely all an act =]

He's a really cool professor. His class is super easy. The tests are on the notes so you don't even have to read the book for his tests. You do have to read a little bit for the online quizzes he gives you but they're open book. Recommended!!

I loved his class and I hated polly sci and had no interest in it. However, he made the class fun and its possible to pass the class without studying as long as you attend class and pay attention to his lectures. On top of that the stuff he taught me stuck so in my opinion that makes him an amazing teacher.

Great class. Kept me interested the whole time. No HW or big assignments. Just quizzes and 3 major exams which were all pretty easy if you study. Only took it beacuse its a pre-requiste but a week into it, I was totally interested and glad I took it, and it helped that he's easy on the eyes. lol

Professor Mullins is absolutely one of the BEST professors at cerritos. I went into this class just tryin to get another prereq out of the way...and ended up finding the subject really interesting. His stories kept the class awake,...never a dull moment. Easy class to pass, just listen to lectures, and take good notes!! Oh and he looks good =)

I took Mullins 2 yrs. ago and he remains my favorite prof. to date. He's eloquent, hilarious funny and he really makes you interested in Poli Sci. crseload is minimal and you actually LEARN with it being an engaging experience instead of a boring one. He uses ppt examples and stories to get his pt. across and he makes policies easy to understand.

Mullins is a fantastic polisci professor. He explains everything extremely well, & makes lectures really interesting. He makes you think about so much, but seriously it rocked my world. The way he teaches is awesome. And the fact that he has a great voice doesn't hurt. His tests are easy, you just have to study notes. I'll recommend him to anyone!

Attendance is a must because all tests will be based on lecture notes. Don't worry, you will look forward to going to class; he is sooo funny and makes lectures clear and easy to understand. I hated the subject like govenment before but his makes me like the lecture because he is super clear, smart, sweet,funny..I can't even name everything..it was 3 hrs class but his lecture was never boring, the class is middium easy and no curve but it is totally worth taking it, you will learn much from his lecture..

Though he's crystal clear on his information, he doesn't quite put forth the effort to assist. He uses techniques with his class that his professors obviously used with him during school. Overall pretty laidback, and gives excellent lectures, but I think he should work harder at assisting students

I had no idea about government before taking this class and i had no interest in learning. Im so glad i had him as a professor. At first he seems a bit mean with his "DONT EMAIL ME ABOUT CLASS" procedure but he is a nice guy and has funny stories.

Not only is Mullins good-looking and funny, he's brilliant. I looked forward to attending class every time... Presentations are engaging, material is interesting, and he knows his polisci... You need to take this class!! Tests(3 noncumulative) are straight forward, based entirely off of the lecture which is easy to follow and even easier to learn!

He is really easy if you take his regular class. You don't even need to study your text because his power points are so interesting that you memorize everything in his lecture. Test are straight from lecture,he gives study guide too if you want to get an A.Test is so easy that it gets confusing(multiple choice. DON'T take an online class. IT'S HARD

No papers, no readings nothing. There are three scantron exams. Study his notes and you will ace the class. Highly recommend !!

He is a great teacher! He took, what I believed to be a boring topic, and made it easy and fun to learn. He gives test based on his PowerPoint lectures, he doesn't post them online. You still need to buy the book new for the online code, but the online work is easy.

I was really not expecting to receive the grade I gotten due to lack of interest in politics , however his teaching techniques are exactly what we need in education today,his sense of humor ,patience, clarity, examples,and straight to the point lectures made it very easy for me to understand and enjoy. MULLINS!!! I took this guy thanks to my sister, best decision of my life. before i get carried away saying how awesome he is, let me tell you, take Political Theory with him. He opened the doors of philosophy for me and polisci of course. He is brilliant, before you even finish your argument, he is so good that he's already beat you to it.

Lectures are pretty long but he makes them funny and he's cute so it goes by fast. Motivates students to be progressive and politically active. After seeing him every week I was kind of getting tired of seeing his face but he was equally funny at the end as he was at the beginning of the semester so that makes up for it. Wish there was no breaks.

I took Mullins for poli sci 240. It was s one day a week 3 hour class so if you missed a day you missed out on s significant amount of info. The class was all lecture. You take down the notes and its what the test is about. He is very informative and knows his stuff. Its rare asking a question he doesn't know the answer to. He's hilarious to!

He is the definition of a college professor. Passionate about this subject. Gives you a week to do online quizzes. HILARIOUS. The entire class is always laughing. Lectures are so understandable. I could write a 5 page paper about why students should take this class. Made me appreciate Political Science and I'm not even a big fan of history.

Just take notes, do your study guide, ask questions (and refer to the book if you need clarity on something), go through the study guide a couple times and you'll do fine on your exams. Homework is only MyLabsPlus. He gets so animated during his lectures, never a dull day. The test questions are directly from the notes, study guides are posted weeks before test. Do the study guides and you will ACE the test. Provides extra credit. Only three tests, and short lectures that are pure bullets, no boring paragraphs.

I took this class with expectations of the course being boring and worthless BUT as soon as I took him he changed my way of thinking. He's an excellent teacher,he doesn't make it boring and he actually educates you with what's going on in the world. He's a MUST have type of teacher. Absolutely love him.

I took this class during the 6 week summer session so the lectures were long, but Professor Mullins makes the class pretty interesting. I honestly feel like I learned a lot in this class! Class consists of 20 five question online quizzes(super easy) & 3 fifty question exams(noncumulative). And NO ESSAYS! Just take notes & look at the study guides.

Professor Mullin's grading system is all based on YOU. He simply gives the lectures, study them & you'll be fine. You can tell that he loves what he does, he's so passionate during his lectures. Keeps the lectures interesting, which is great since I had his night class. He's very funny, so be prepared for a good laugh! Doesn't take attendance.

Pr. Mullins makes political science fun and interesting! Tests are based off lectures! Multiple choice and no papers are assigned. He is not a curver! Do well on the online quizzes and test you pass! I took this class online It was difficult The exams were not the easiest I pulled a B all semester and he curved grades and I ended up with an A Just need to work for that A but thats about it

Even though political theory isn't so interesting, Professor Mullins gave his lectures that grasped your attention. As long as you take notes word for word, and study for the midterms, you should pass. Assigns two papers, not a tough grader. Would definitely recommend. You can skip class as long as you get the notes from a classmate.

Millians is the best teacher out there. His Lectures are explained very clearly. He expects you to read the book at home but you other then that you wont need it. Things from the reading will be on the test so i recommend that you read. Try and you will pass!

Prof. Mullins: SUPER HILARIOUS. Makes info easy to understand. POL101: Only 3 exams and 20 five question online quizzes. You have to do your study guide on your own because he doesn't go over them, but he does answer questions if you have any. No extra credit (as far as I know). Attendance is not mandatory but you won't regret coming to class.

I recomment professor Mullins because his class is easy to pass and also interesting. I have to admit that he is low key hot! He is also very accesible on his office hours. One con is that he takes forever to reply to emails and sometimes doesn't reply at all. Just do all your work and you'll definitely pass.

Class consists of 3 multiple choice exams & 1 paper. The paper is the easiest thing you will ever have to write in your educational career. Exams are based off of his lectures & practically identical to his study guides so show up & do the study guides in advance. He hates email so ask questions after class. He's very approachable & great overall!

First this Professor makes Political Science very interesting if those who take his class lectures but I'm not sure if online course is the same but it shouldn't be too hard !?

Everyone should take this Professor !! I am currently taking this class. He makes lectures very fun and interesting ! To be honest I look forward to this class the most. We don't use the textbook, his exams are based on lectures(powerpoint). There are no pop quizzes only online quizzes. No papers to write either. You really learn something !!

Mullins is the best professor that I've had so far at cerritos college. His class is extremely straightforward. You have three tests during the semester, and it's based on the powerpoint lecture notes. His lectures are interesting and you actually take something away from the class. Even if you don't like pol sci, you'll still enjoy his class.

Mullins is THE Political Science Professor! His lectures are awesome, assignments doable, and exams are straight forward!

All his exams are lecture based, so if you take good notes you're fine. Don't underestimate the online quizzes either, they add up. But he's one of THE funniest teachers I've ever had. He's so good at what he does, the notes will come easy because how he teachers will have you paying attention. You'll love learning!

ALL exams are based on the study guide which is solely based on his lecture notes. (You don't even need to be in class to understand his notes). The online quizzes are simple but add up in points. The textbook is not mandatory but the access code is. Really cool professor. Would take again.

If you listen to the lectures (which he makes some pretty boring topics interesting) and study your notes for tests you'll have no problem getting an A

typical break down of the class. show up he starts lecture you take notes then leave. I've never studied for the tests always got a good grade tho. just put some effort to listen during lectures. and the online quizzes are too easy. recommend his class could be boring but its easiest class you'll have if you're looking for an easy A.

He knows his stuff. There's no way you can't pass unless you never show up/dont take notes. I never did a studyguide & I never got lower than an 85 on an exam his notes are EVERYTHING. He's patient gives everyone enough time to jot down the notes. He's also hilarious. Also if an exam says it could be 1 of 2 days assume its the first. Great class!

Mullins is a really cool professor with a good sense of humor. All you gotta do is take notes and do the study guide and you'll pass easy. The online quizzes are super easy. Easy A class.

Mullins is great. He made the topics interesting and he has a great sense of humor. Take notes and look over them the day before and you'll pass the tests for sure. Really straightforward class, show up for powerpoint lectures & leave. The weekly quizzes online are super easy but don't forget to complete them ! Other than that there's no homework.

He's a really great professor! All of his lectures are interesting. Everything he lectures are on the test, he doesn't leave anything out. The tests are easy.

Great professor, real easy. No real need to rent textbook. Three exams no study guide except for the first one, offers one extra credit assignment. Assigns three paper fairly easy. Would take again real funny.

Class was easy because his lectures area so memorable. Professor Mullins has a great way of explaining the government. Awesome class and awesome teacher. I learned a lot and I was expecting to hate this class.

Easy A if you show up, C if you dont. Everything on the PowerPoints is on the exams, no surprises. Really cool professor; his class is very enlightening.

you really don't need the book, just the access code to get online access for the quizzes. Show up and pay attention and take all the notes, those are the answers to the test.

Best political science on campus. I wish he taught foreign affairs.

This guy morphs into Hobbs, Locke, Machiavelli whenever explaining their ideologies. Best PolSci Prof. at Cerritos hands down.

Funniest professor ever. His class is easy as long as you actually go to class. There's an assigned textbook but I never bought it cause he usually talks about it in class. He often gets side-tracked so if you ask questions make sure it relates to the topic and that you're not just making a stupid comment cause there's a chance he'll entertain it

Honestly, I've never been more interested in a subject such as politics until I took this class. You don't have to show up but I recommend that you do. Straight forward lectures. Very charismatic professor. Eye opening course. Few but easy online assignments, and easy tests (if you give the slightest effort to check out the helpful study guide)

Best professor in cerritos college, hands down. I would come to take political science classes just because this professor makes you enjoy your major. Very impressed with his ability to teach with ease and intelligence.

Very easy class as long as you show up. There are a total of 3 exams, everything that us on the exam is included in his PowerPoints. Study notes. PowerPoints are easy to understand. He explains the information good, very into the lectures which was helpful. He really taught me things I didn't even know about our government. Definitely recommend!!

best Poli Sci professor in Cerritos College. At times, I thought maybe this guy could pass up as a stand-up comedian. Honestly, he's so hilarious to the point where the class has to take a moment to calm down from laughing. Other than that, lectures are amazing and he relates all his stories to the topic. The class isn't hard at all just show up

I took Prof. Mullins' class last semester. His lectures were really an eye opener, especially to people like me who do not give a damn about politics. I took it as a requirement but never imagined I will end the class with perfect attendance and an A. He is hilarious, articulate, and straight to the point. Take his class. You will not regret it.

One paper due and he basically gives you a template for it (super easy). Attendance isnt mandatory but I would suggest you show up so that tou can hear how he explains things because he really has a gift at explaining everything he teaches.

he's a really cool professor he doesn't just teach you govt he makes it interesting I learned so much and his class is super easy would definetly recommend him

Professor Mullins is the type of professor that you will be talking to your kids about when they begin college. He is amazing at what he does, although the textbook is not absolutely required it is still goof to read. This is a 3 hour class but it does not feel like a 3 hour class. There is no one word on how to describe him but he is fair and good

Amazing Professor! Only tests on what is lectured on in class and provides study guides for each exam. He keeps you engaged during the entire lecture. Time flew by each class & I was actually sad class was over. 100% recommend.

This class is lecture and test nothing else to it. Come to class take good notes on the lecture everything from the lecture will be on the test. If you take good notes on the lecture you can get an A.

Hands down best professor I've ever had! His exams are based on class lectures only and he gives the BEST LECTURES. It is relatable and he is hilarious so you'll remember his lectures as you study for the exams. He posts study guides as well. Come to class, take good notes, and you will pass the exams. I took his online class, he is straight up and makes the assignments very clear as far as what he is looking for. I am happy I took him for my political science class :)

Please take this online class. Literally, it is super easy! You read chapters from the book and some videos and you take quizzes. Then there are 2 very small writing assignments. You complete all those and that is your grade! This class is extremely beneficial if you have other tougher classes on your schedule that need more focus.

Prof Mullins is the BEST! I took him for POL 101 and 240 and he was incredible in both. Tests questions come straight out of his super simple lecture notes, it's literally that easy. The essays for 240 were super easy and actually kinda fun to write. You don't have to show up for lecture, but you should, he's a super funny and engaging professor!

Professor Mullins keeps everything well organized, especially for an online U.S. government class. Lots of quizzes based on the videos that were assigned and 8 exams based on the textbook. There were also two assigned papers, one based on the political parties and the other based on a legislative profile project. Not too difficult of a class.

Took Professor Mullins as a freshman at Cerritos, he's an amazing lecturer. Really taught Poli-Sci in a way that made it clear and concise. So good, he almost made me change my major!! Would highly recommend. A really enjoyable class because of him!

Just finished taking this class during the summer, so it went by pretty quickly but it was so easy. Do your reading, stay on top of the work and you'll pass.

If you don't attend class, you won't pass. All of his questions come straight from lectures, make sure to review the study guides and you'll be golden. Very good lectures, made the almost three hour classes very bare-able.

Very few assignments, very thoughtful and forthcoming professor, literally just attend lectures and take notes then you're set for the rest of the semester. Also, do the extra credit.

Easy and chill prof, make sure you attend class and take notes of the full lecture, tests are fairly easy as long as you take notes of the lecture as the test will only be on those, only a few papers that are incredibly easy as long as you follow the instructions. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! Guaranteed me a high A. Take Prof Mullins!

attendance is not taken but you must be on top of your notes since that is what helps you for the test! he is a great profesor with lectures thats are the perfect mix of educational and humorous.

Professor Mullins is a chill and easygoing teacher, his course material was also very informative and helpful. The grading is simple and straightforward. There are tests per chapter, some assignments, and two projects/essays. If you do all the reading and complete your work on time, Professor Mullins makes it really easy for you to pass the course

Really easy course, but questions in the exam is a little bit hard, but still okay. And no homework, there's only quiz for every chapter.

He is one of the best professors at Cerritos college. he is the reason my major became political science. He shows he loves teaching and really wants his students to learn the subject. He makes lectures fun and relevant by connecting it to current issues. even students that do not care about politics made sure they came to class.

An amazing professor! He made me rekindle my spark for history and politics. This man is not only informative and absolutely hilarious with his lectures. He has SO much patience. Doesn't matter how many times he's interrupted. That man will push through. His assignments and tests are straight forward. Just pay attention to the syllabus/ deadlines

Professor Mullins is the best professor I have ever had. I can understand his lectures very well. He speaks very clearly and it is easy to understand him while he speaks. He is very professional during his lessons. He provides simple and precise and simple PowerPoint lectures. He assigns 3 exams throughout the entire political science course.

Professor Mullins was straight to the point, did not sugar coat his opinions and really knew how to get the class to participate. There were 3 exams and one quiz, the textbook is "required" but I hardly used it. There are video quizzes you have to watch which are easy. His exams matched his lecture notes. I would definitely recommend him!

Must attend class for notes. He enjoys participation and I have to argue that it does makes the class more interesting. Assignments are on canvas & as long as you take good notes, do the video quizzes, and study it should be an easy A.

To put it simply, Professor Mullins is an amazing professor. His lectures are humorous, and gives you the exact information you need for the exams he gives. You will need your notes, but going to class was definitely a highlight of my day. Thank you professor, and do not hesitate to take this class if you can!!

The assignments and projects were easy and straightforward, it was very easy to get ahead on the assignments. There were no lectures but we did have short videos to watch for the video quizzes. Never heard from the professor, so I would say that he is VERY hands off and easy going, lol.

Great professor! I took the 6 week summer course. So easy! A lot of video quizzes and a good amount of exams. All not timed and pretty easy. Worth taking!

I generally don't enjoy government courses, but Prof. Mullins is great at relating material to day-to-day topics so it's really easy to retain information. Attendance isn't mandatory but, there are no lectures posted online. So don't skip class, take notes, submit everything on time and you'll be good. Take this class, you won't regret it.

Lectures are straight forward, and enjoys participation. Actually makes learning about Political Science/Govt interesting. Only homework is video quizzes, and he gives online tests and gives plenty of time to submit them. Doesn't grade attendance but highly advice going for the lecture slides! 1000% recommend taking him if you need the GE!

His class is an easy pass just pay attention to the work, stay on top of it, and your good. In his class, you get projects, quizzes, assignments, and exams at the end. For the project, you do it on your own. I would highly recommend taking his class. I do feel like his class isn't stressful, as long as you don't procrastinate.

Mullins is a great professor for students interested in political science. His lectures are fun and easy to follow, so take good notes in class because most of the questions come from his lectures.

Professor Mullins makes an otherwise dry subject quite engaging. Assigned readings are helpful, but the real key is staying on top of the video quizzes and exams. Unstuckstudy was a game-changer for exam prep.

This guy is the truth. Take heed to what he speaks. The only thing is to show up to class. Passing notes might get you and A, but being there makes a difference in becoming a better American.

This is probably one of my first classes where I was looking forward in attending. Mullins is a funny guy, makes entertaining lectures. His class is very easy, there are 3 exams, all based on the lecture. His class recommends a textbook, but he never uses it. Overall, you should take his class for an easy grade, 8/10.

Took this course in Spring 2023. Most assignments are done on the Pearson MyLab software and some projects/quizzes on Canvas. Not a hard course, it is doable.
