Prof Wickman is pretty cool. He's funny, a little too goofy at times. He is an excellent math teacher though, sometimes he can get an attiude, but in general he's good at what he does. I chose him again for 2 more semesters. I like that I trust him. Book is mandatory. I enjoy math now :p

I had this guy for DMAT66 and then DMAT97. He was good the first time, but what happened? He expects his students to know all the work before coming into class, yet he doesn't give enough homework. After all, practise makes perfect. He just go over examples from the book and redo them in class. I dropped his class because he didnt teach well.

Dr. Wickman is very helpful lecture class he will break every step down, if you do not understand something he does not mind going over it with you. Minimal homework, typically four per semester, but those comprise of less than four problems. Provides strong test reviews, do NOT miss these. Study the review you'll ace the exam. This was my second semester with Dr. Wickman. Our entire class were repeat students of his who were crushed when he wasn't available to follow to the next level this semester. Dr. Wickman is a brilliant professor. I had spent three semesters under his guidance and would recommend him to anyone needing a better understanding of algebra in order to advance into college algebra. Dr. Wickman's class, is the type of class that you actually learn in. He gives out extra credit and his lectures are not long and boring like most professors. I will definitely graduate eastfield taking him every year. Unbelievable teaching techniques!

Dr Wickman, only 4 homework assignments which are 1 problem. He goes sort of fast but if you dont understand he will reexplain. He gets through the lessons as quick as possible and you almost always get out early. Offers extra credit, does great test reviews, just make sure that you are there for those. Must have the book. Great professor!!!!

His teaching style is different. He just points his laser and reads from the book. He says "it's easy" when it's really not. I prefer a teach who will actually write out things and explain, especially in a math class. I liked that he allowed us to use our reviews/notes for the test. You will not fail his class, he won't allow it. Gotta work hard.

Dr. Wickman is an excellent teacher. I would really recommend this class for anyone that likes to work at their own pace but likes the idea of having somebody around if they get stuck. Ignore all the bad reviews and TAKE HIM!

Absolutely the best professor I've ever had. No one will work harder to teach you then this professor. I took him for DMAT0305- Alg 1314. I'd take his class all the way to CAL 3 if I could. He doesn't murder you with homework assignments (HW is just 1-2 ?'s), his tests are never more then 20-25 ?'s. Pay attention & go class. A in all 3 courses.

Dr wickman was the best math prof I have ever had. He does ask you to participate with "class jobs" as in helping to turn off the lights, pass out role sheet, computer, etc. He only gave out 2 homework questions from the book this semester. 4 tests total and he lets you use your review- from him. I enjoyed this class! I took his Spring 0305 class and Maymester 0310 class. He really cared about both of my classes and made sure EVERYONE understood the material, even as hard as it seemed, and made sure everyone got an A. He made it so simple and easy, and provided us with study guides and made sure we took notes. Overall: 10/10 stars haha!

I had him for math 305, 310, & 1314. I was worried at first because he does go pretty fast and in 1314 i thought about dropping it but I had to remind myself that as long as you show up, participate, and do your work then you WILL PASS. I got high grades and I'm terrible at math.

He is an amazing teacher he goes fast but does take his time to help out if you do not understand, he also lets you move about the class room to ask your neighbors for help. he is very fair and overall a great teacher he will tell stories and jokes. his teaching method is based of the book, you do need the book and a calculator to understand.

Professor Wickman is great! I had him for 310 and for College Algebra. Studying the chapters ahead of time, like with any class, will really help you. Make SURE to go to the reviews! Prof Wickman is very corny and his laugh is quite irritating but if you want a super easy A take him during SUMMER. There's a take home midterm and only 2 EASY homeworkes. Extra credit as well. Allows you to use notes on test. I didn't use the textbook bc I just left high school and math is still pretty fresh on my brain.

He is very great instructor. I took him in Summer-2. Participation is a very big part in his class. He is very intelligent teacher. Avoid all bad responses and take him. Attendance is very mandatory in his class. This was my first and last class with him. I will strongly recommend that take him for your math classes.

Dr. Wickman makes the course understandable. If you fail its because of you, passing is made easy for you. No Mathlab used just the book. Reviews are given for each test and will be your best friend when trying to pass the actual test. I took him for 0310 and 1314. Passed both with an A. If I had another math to take I would definitely keep him.

Dr. T. Wickman is a great professor most definitely if you are going back to school after years of not attending school. He wants to see you pass so he will teach by showing you how to work problems step by step. He teaches from the book, no cell phones on your desk :(, gives extra credit, makes sure you understand and a all around great person.

I can not say enough good things about professor Wickman! First of all he makes math seem reasonable, and less intimidating. Breaks every thing down, teaches short cuts, and actually looks ahead to see how the book will confuse you just so he can avoid teaching it that way. Great teacher and easy to follow. He is happy to rework problems step by step to make sure you understand. I am returning to school after 15 years and have easily made an A in the past 3 classes I have taken with him DMAT 0305, DMAT 0310, College Algebra. Before tests he does a thorough review of the material so it is very hard to fail.

Dr. Wickman's class is fast paced but he makes it easy for student to pass. If you fail it is because you did not show up for class and reviews. He also does recommend to study at home as well. He is very strict when it comes to having cell phones out and will ask you to leave the class if he sees it.

Hands down best decision I made taking Dr Wickman for college algebra. I havent had math in 28 years so was super stressed about this class. At first I thought this class was going to be a tough one, but as time went on it was very easy. He makes jokes and tells great stories. Many of the objectives that seemed to be hard, were actually very easy with the way professor Wickman taught it.

He is a good professor and you take the midterm at home and you get to use exam on the final and with homework he only what you show him and you get the grade with easy and you have to show up because he take attendance and you have to participate since that a grade. I have previously taken Dr. Wickman for 0310 and went on to take Calculus 1-3. I came back to take 1314 for fun and I just wanted to say here that he is a great professor. I've always struggled with Math. Dr. Wickman's lectures were clear, to the point, demonstrated what we needed to know & always straight forward. He's invested in his students, he cares. He took my calls outside of class, on the weekends & was always available to help. I was nervous taking the mid term & final exams but he prepared me & I did well.

I have never been a math wiz. Dr. Wickman made the content easy to understand because of how he would write out the problems on the screen. It definitely helps to attend class and pay attention. A very fair and caring professor.

I have learned so much in my classes with Dr. He paces the class just right so you feel challenged but not overwhelmed. So many other classes you just read from a text book but in his classes he asks questions and gets the students to respond which is both fun and promotes faster learning. He is patient and eager to help.

I would have enjoyed him as a teacher in a real class setting, I chose online due to health concerns. He is very personable, and takes your education as dear to him, he will also show you how to solve problems knowing we have access to a calculator and that tools available to us are more important to us that knowing an archaic method of solving.

My class is about to end but so far I've taken a bundled course where I take Dmat0315 and college algebra (math 1314) and let me tell you this Proffesor rocks, he teaches everything at a good pace and explains things easily. I'm glad I took this class :)

Dr. Wickman is a very good professor. He wants everyone to get an A in his class. His examples are clearer than the textbook. Although attendance is 20% of the grade, if you can't make it to class, but you watch the recorded lesson online (and let him know), then you'll be fine. He's also very flexible with due dates and has a great sense of humor

Dr Wickman is really generous and helps you a lot throughout the course! He makes sure everyone passes the class. Even though the class is a-eight-week course you will still learn everything that is required and will pass the class!

Professor Wickman is understanding and flexible. He offers virtual tutoring times twice a week which are recorded. This was very accommodating for me being a dual credit student and I often couldn't make it to the meetings at the times they were held. It's rare to find teachers like Professor Wickman today. Helpful and responsive to emails as well.

Dr. Wickman where do I start, ah yes, a very good professor to attend with. Dr. Wickman is very simple and clear to understand in the class, you would not have any trouble with him. He is very lenient with work, he is very cooperate with students, and his jokes are pretty good. If you have this class, you defiantly would not be disappointed!

Dr. Wickman is an amazing teacher who will help you understand math to the basics! I definitely would recommend taking his math course if you need a math credit or if you enjoy math. Math has always been hard for me so being able to say I understood the whole semesters worth of this class was amazing!

Class is very fast pace, but do able. I was dreading it because of the fast pace, but Dr Wickman, goes through everything you need to know in order to pass. Any there a review must attend for those as they are very very helpful when comes to taking a test. Even for the HW review you attend. Show up for participation and you should pass the class.

Dr. Wickman is phenomenal! He explained the concepts in a way that I fully understood. He is fair with his grades, great at explaining things to his students, and makes going to class fun! Trust me when I say: you NEED to pick Dr. Wickman as your MATH 1324 professor. You'll be so glad that you did.

I was dreading taking a math course after not taking math in 8 years, but Dr. Wickman made class fun and enjoyable! He is always around (text/call) for questions. Easy A as long as you attend lectures and midterm/final reviews. Dr. Wick also encourages working with your classmates, so don't be shy and get a study buddy! Great professor!!

Dr Wickman truly cares about each of his student's success in his class. This was on online course with 2 weekly live classes. He gave students the options to record the classes to share with everyone for extra credit. There was one homework assignment a mid-term and a final exam. He reviews each exam prior to testing. I highly recommend.

Dr. Wickman was an excellent professor! We had to attend zoom calls and that was an easy A. He also has a student filming the class, in case you miss it. He explains the problems very well and the work is not difficult. As long as you pay attention, do the homework and attend class, you should have no problem passing his course.

Dr. Wickman is a very likeable and charismatic professor! Though at times lectures would sort of steer away from the topic at hand, he was very fair and understanding and was accessible and more than willing to help with any issue you had. I would certainly take him again. This course was easy because he made it easy.

He goes above & beyond to make sure the material is understood by all & does not object to questions, no matter how many times he has to go over a particular principle. I absolutely loved taking Dr Wicks class, it was online but he made sure he took time to get to know each student and always found room for a joke to lighten the math heavy mood. In addition to being great in class he was also available to help and fostered an open environment if you had questions or needed assistance. I learned alot!

I am horrible at math, however, Dr. Wickman was awesome! He explained math problems that were difficult. His class wasn't overwhelming or overbearing. This was an online 4 week Wintermester course, therefore, it was a lot of info to intake, but Dr. Wickman reassured the class that we would do great. I will absolutely take his class again.

Math is NOT my thing, especially after not having a math class in 20 years. Dr. Wick cares and will be there to help you understand. There were many times I wanted to give up, but he pushed me on!

Dr. Wickman is great he assures you understand the math problems. He cares for each student and wants every student to succeed. If you ever have questions he is available and responses are not delayed. This was the 3rd math class I took with him. He truly is helpful. In this particular online class you had two online classmeets for 1hr 20 minutes.

Professor Wickman is an outstanding teacher, he's very easy, and understanding and will help you out with everything. We only had one homework the entire semester, one midterm with a review to help us study, and one final exam with a review as well. My easiest and my funniest class of 2023.

Amazing professor I took his online stats class. He gives plenty of time to get the work done every class was always fun he always asked how u were doing and if you missed class a few times it was okay as long as you watched the recordings and let him know. Definitely recommend taking his class.

This professor makes sure that each of his students understands what he is talking about or the exercises he is explaining, explains it to you in a didactic way and uses real examples. Undoubtedly, the meetings are quite entertaining and educational, the time passes without you realizing it.

This subject is hard to begin with, but having an amazing teacher will help. Dr. Wickman is an amazing teacher, he took a tough subject and made it learnable. He does live online session to explain everything and to make sure we understand the material. He goes above and beyond to help each student. He also likes to learn fun facts about everyone.

Dr. Wickman CARES for his students and WANTS them to all pass. He will sometimes extend the due date for those who don't turn it in on time. Exam reviews are 99% accurate to the exam. If you participate and do the hw which is barely enough you WILL pass. You will FAIL this class if you WANT to fail. He works with students to get you to pass.

I had Dr.Wick for DMAT/Math 1314 and honestly was so glad I did. He was awesome and understanding, he definitely gives you ample time to make sure your projects are turned in on time. He has no problem going over sections that you are lost on, just make sure to ask while you're in class. Highly recommend. I plan to take him for Stats in the fall

Dr. Wickman is an amazing professor! He hosts weekly online meetings a few times a week to go over the material we need to know vs us struggling to navigate the textbook ourselves. He's a true gem and if I could, I would take him for all of my required math courses. Gives lots of opportunities for extra credit.

Dr. Wickman is honestly great; he cares about you and the class. He makes sure you're on the same page as the whole class is. He literally dumbs everything down for you. He literally makes it so easy to pass the class; all you have to do is just show up.

On the first day of class I stormed out. He followed me and apologized and promised I would regret dropping his class. Glad I stayed, he is the best and easiest grade in my Dallas College journey. He was always available by email and told us exactly what to expect on the tests. Maybe 4 homework assignments in the summer course. Show up for class.

Professor Wickman is very knowledgeable about the subject and teaches in a way that's easy to understand. He doesn't just lecture and move on. He gets the students to participate and makes sure they understand before moving on. He does give extra points for participation, and gives great test reviews. I highly recommend Professor Wickman.

Great Professor! I would definitely take him again. Going to class is important since 20% of your grade is participation. There is a midterm and final and he gives you a great review sheet that goes over the test.

I took an 8-week course very easy. He only gives 1 HW assignment and explains how to do it. The midterm and the final exam he does a review in class.

Great professor ! He does a move a little fast but just ask him to slow down and explain things more easier and he will. Very understanding, lenient, and patient .

I took his 8-week online dual course for MATH 1314 + DMAT 0315. Unlike many other online courses, he actually holds a live Teams video lecture twice a week to go over the lessons/book chapters. His exam reviews cover everything you will need for the actual exams. Math is the hardest subject for me and I enjoyed his class very much. 100% recommend!!

He does online classes though Microsoft Team (video calls/ virtual meetings) . He is accessible to answering questions about the topics and really try's to explain the question problems or steps to problems/ equations for better understanding. He explains the steps with details. He gives extra participation points also. He is nice and overall good

Professor Wickman cares for everyone, I totally recommend him, he is nice and funny. His class is sooo easy make sure you show up everyday and take the easy midterm and final which you can do on your own time and get 2 tries. I love him and his stories, a master at his job.

I took Math1324 for Spring 2025 as a 16 week class with professor Wickman. Going into the class I felt uneasy as my math skills weren't the best, however the professor helped us as a class. He gave excellent lectures in which he would make sure we understood the lesson. He also gave good life advice during the lectures.

Dr.Wick is one of the most caring professors I've ever taken, he cares so much about you and communicates with you about your grade. I took his class during summer, its very straight forward 4 grades participation, final, midterm, and homework assignment. But he helps you so much, I fully recommend Dr. Wick to everyone.

I was nervous about Math-1324, but Professor Wickman's clear teaching style and humor made the class enjoyable. His guidance with the TI-84 calculator was invaluable. With regular attendance, success is achievable. He's dedicated, supportive, and truly one of the best professors. Highly recommend!
