probably the worst teacher I have ever had

I really didn't take away much from this class and the only information I got from it was straight from the book. The teacher usually dished out wrong information as well. Find another teacher.

I would NOT recommend taking this class. She is unclear about her expectations and what she wants. Most assignments are tedious and unrelated to the subject.

By far #2 on my list of the worst teachers. Not helpful at all, very unorganized, and is very rude. When asking for help she's not willing to help and expects you to know things she didn't quite go over. I have never had such a rude teacher, would not recommend unless you don't mind being disrespected by a teacher in front of the class.

This instructor is really rude and likes to pick on people.

I had a terrible experience with her. She is very harsh in grading papers, so if you do not write specifically what she wants you to write, you will not get a good grade. Also, parts of the material were hard to understand, she isn't very clear on her expectations. Her quizzes and tests are extremely hard and she can be really rude, so beware!

This teacher is horrible! She has an attitude problem! She's not clear about her expectations and isn't willing to help when needed. I will not tolerate that kind of attitude from a teacher because I AM paying for this course and i expect him/her to help me when i don't understand something. I do not recommend her.

This "teacher" shouldn't be a teacher at all. She clearly knows her stuff, but the problem i had with her was, she wasn't willing to help enough. She can be rude, and she is a tough grader with papers, so if you don't write EXACTLY what she wants, you won't get a good grade. Personally, I do not recommend her.

Would never recommend this teacher. Rude and not really much help. Took online class. She would say quiz is 20 min and it would be 15. Not easy to communicate with. Just plain RUDE!!

Straight up rude.

As most have said, "not helpful at all". R-U-D-E and not approachable. Also has many typos for someone who strictly enforces proper writingspelling. I should've seen the red flags once I read the very long and detailed syllabus. Which she made me re-read again when I asked a question. Oh yeah, did I mention rude?

She was very disorganized when it came to having the notes for class. She seems like a nice person, she just needs to work on her teaching skills. She was constantly complaining about other students (mostly the online students) and she was rude to students in my class. She's not approachable at all! I do not recommend!

She was extremely mean-spirited and unhelpful. I once sent an email requesting clarification (her assignments are muddled and riddled with typos), and she responded with a mass-email to the class saying she doesn't have time to answer questions, because this is "not her only class". Tests were rarely on the subject matter she instructed us on.

Do not take any her classes. She will lower your GPA, and she does not care to help you understand the material. Find another class to get your credit, this class is not worth your time and effort.

This professor is horrible. She will tell you what the assignment is but gets mad if you don't take it further. She offered us extra credit but than go mad that we didn't discuss more in a discussion board so she took it away. You have very little assignments but the ones you do have are graded harshly. Won't take her again.

I dropped her after one class, she was rude and mean. Very "your life isn't bad others have it worse" She was a trigger for me and she didn't understand mental disabilities either. After she body shamed I was done.

Took this prof. for HMU110, the material itself was not difficult but you can NEVER win on the assignments. She was unclear when giving instructions and proceeded to get upset that some students didn't "listen to her". The class is very open, but so much so that your response could go one way when she wanted another. Would not take her again.

She is very unclear on what she wants. She'll post what is expected from the assignment but when you do it, she will say it is not good enough. Topics are open ended so you would think they are easy to solve, but absolutely not. Unless you write EXACTLY what she is looking for you will fail. She is rude when you have to email her about anything.

Condescending to students. Obvious when she's having a bad day - will project her attitude on class. Very unorganized notes - always skipping around between different powerpoints(from different classes even!). Claims to be tolerant but interjects her personal(usually politcal) views whenever possible. Confusing instructions for papers/tests.

do yourself a favor and dont take any of her class! Shes very rude and unorganized. She would spend time in class to look for her unorganized lectures powerpoints and she would read off her powerpoints. Shes rude to students who would correct her or ask her questions. Super Tough grader.

Couldn't agree more with previous statements that said if you don't write exactly what she is thinking then you will get points off. I find it odd that she encourages discussion, when she has only one opinion, her own. Assignments are jumbled. Has a seemingly strict outcome for students, but doesn't mind taking over a month to grade assignments...

This teacher is RUDE RUDE RUDE. Actively talks badly about other people and makes students feel badly about themselves. If she wants to encourage discussion she shouldn't put down students who have conflicting opinions. Completely disorganized teacher who misspells everything but is harsh when we do it. Do not take!!! she will lower your GPA.

I am a straight A study, but got a low grade in her class. I did all my readings but the questions on all the tests and quizzes are so detailed, she should have given out study guides or some kind of work to prepare you for the test. What a horrible professor. The character limit won't let me do her justice. If on a paper anything that didn't comply with her narrow view on feminism (including many pro-feminism points), she lops off points. She also has no idea how to organize a class. She has no business being a professor.

They say respect is earned, not given. But as a professor, there is a base level of respect off the bat, easy to maintain. Never before have I seen a professor lose that respect as spectacularly as Terri. Boasting a HS-level command of English and a narcissist's sense of self, Terri mystifies me: how did she get a professorship? Do NOT take her.

I would not recommend taking this course or any course with this professor. Her instructions are unclear and her assignments make no sense. You think you are doing something right until you get the grade back and she gives you a F. She makes you feel dumb when you ask questions or do bad on an assignment. Do not take her class.

I took her at Elgin Community College for Art Appreciation, never in my entire life have I had a teacher so rude, uncaring, and disrespectful. She will talk you down any chance she gets, she is extremely unorganized and doesn't even know what she's talking about. tells her students to never email because its not used for "talking". DO NOT TAKE HER.

i was forced to take this class and i honestly wish i had fought harder not to take it. please, do yourself a favor and look for any other course! don't mess up your gpa! this class isn't hard, it's her confusing grading that makes it so difficult. you will put your all into a paper and get it proofread and everything just to get a C. steer clear!

unclear grading criteria, accuses you of plagiarism 24/7, takes off lots of points and doesn't say why or 'errors' were subjective, victimizes herself all the time, i could go on and on... terri, consider the following: perhaps the abundance of negative reviews show that you're the problem?

I cannot stress enough how much you should avoid this professor. Trust me, after taking her, then reading the positive reviews of the other professors, you'll literally just make yourself sad. Yes, she is as bad she seems. I've never met someone embody the word "incompetence" as much as Terri.

incredibly unclear and disorganized. uses instruction from other classes that do not make sense to our class. when told that she is unclear, blames you for not reading. never takes into consideration that she may be doing something wrong. unfair grading, won't fully explain to you why you received a low grade. her opinion is superior no matter what

By far the worst teacher on campus. Spends most of the time in class discussing everything BUT the subject material. She is overly outspoken with her political opinions, and will go after you if you dare disagree with her. She even told a story about how she got a veteran kicked out of her class because he wore camo pants. She is extremely bizarre.

This prof isnt just a "tough grader"... She often complains about problems in her life, is very disorganised, and criticises everyone, even the students who actually participate. Based on what she would share, she would clearly project her unhappiness onto her students. She once made me cry during an office hour visit... there is much more to say..

Provides no instruction for discussion board posts. Don't summarize anything or you'll get a terrible grade on it. Wouldn't take this class again. Don't recommend, take another humanities course.

I beg anyone that reads this do not take this professor. She will tank your GPA. She gives no respect to her students. She's a very unhappy person, but administration will do nothing about it. Take a different humanities course.

Course itself isn't hard but the teacher makes it really difficult. Really tough grader and assumes you look up everything online. Would recommend another HUM 110 professor.

Is an incredibly unfair grader. Claimed that I got all my information from online and that I needed to actually buy and read the book to pass the class, even as I had the book right next to me. Will also sometimes close dropboxes several hours early and claim it's the student's fault for trying to submit the assignment at the last minute.

She is so unpleasant. Whenever I reached out for help she always got annoyed and did not want to be bothered. She blamed me multiple times for being lazy and suggested that I drop the class, which honestly I should've done. Do not take her if you are a very sensitive person. She is just too harsh on her students.

Had her for Art Appreciation at ECC. she interrupts her students very frequently, treats them like middle schoolers and dose not build off of what her students say in any constructive way. She waits for you to stop talking so she can make her point and move on. If you want to be treated like a respectable human being, avoid this professor.

She was a very tough grader, The readings in her class can be confusing and on the quizzes and tests the questions she asks is something you would not remember at all from the reading. Her comments on assignments can be harsh. Be prepared for a lot of reading. Even if do great on assignments still won't get a good grade in her class.

I have emailed her asking for help and her responses are very unclear, and the way she writes back suggests a tone that makes you feel stupid for asking. She is such an unnecessarily tough grader, and no matter how strictly you follow her rubric and expectations, it isn't good enough for her. I have never felt so incapable of excelling in a class.

Overall, a very tough grader does not email quick and when does very rude tone and very unclear when responding back to your questions she also does not help at all and thinks everyone is using AI and nothing will meet up to her standards. I do not recommend and will never take her again.

Very tough grader even when you follow HER grading rubric. She believes everyone in the class is using Ai even when all of the answers for her assignments are in the text book she provided. She is also very rude when responding to emails making it you feel stupid for even sending them. Please go with another professor!!
