The instructor's teaching style was extremely hands-off; she expected students to learn much of the material themselves, was not very helpful, and her grading was extremely picky, with large deductions for small, unimportant details, giving out very low grades, sometimes when the anwers were correct.

Good presentation style, good explanations of the more abstract concepts. She uses concrete examples whenever possible to illustrate an idea. None of the "you work at it and get this" stuff some professors use. Wish I had her for my other calculus courses.

The course work is difficult, but her tests are very straightforward. You know exactly what will be on tests and quizzes so it is not hard to get an A if you do all the homework problems. When 1/2 of your class fails your first test, and another 1/3 makes a D, and you take NONE of the blame yourself or try to fix the problem, you shouldn't be teaching. Yet she is still here. Studying the book is useless, since you lose points for those techniques. And its impossible to follow her in class. Better to take Summer school, trust me.

I would choose Dr. Johnson for MATH2060 over other professors based on what I have heard from other students. Tough grader, but it's not going to be easy with any professor. Extremely light amount of homework. There are suggested problems out of the textbook that I recommend you do for practice but they are not graded.

Out of all of the professors I have had at clemson so far, Terri Johnson has been my least favorite. Rarely uses examples in class, tests resemble nothing weve been taught, and in my experience have had to learn all of the material outside of the class myself. Ive had tutors that had trouble understanding her test problems. Would not recommend

Teri Johnson teaches the very basic concepts with very easy examples but all the Quizzes and Exams have significantly more complicated problems. If you want to pass you need to do a lot of work outside of class and be very proficient with extremely complicated algebra and calculus. She also doesn't assign HW so there is no incentive to do so.

Material she teaches does not reflect the problems on the quizzes and tests. Also very callous, unhelpful, and disrespectful towards her students. There were about 40 people in my class at the beginning of the semester, I counted 17 on Friday.

She purposely makes quizzes completely different than hw's to throw off any previous conceptual understanding. And same goes for quizzes to exams. If you study the suggested hw along w chapter review, there is a chance to be prepared for quizzes, but the notation must be perfect. Cant stress tough grader enough. HIGHLY recommend another instructor.

Worst professor I have ever had. She doesn't explain clearly and makes you go read the textbook to learn instead of teaching like she's suppose to.

Terri Johnson is one of the worst professors I have ever had. She won't reply to your emails, is barely ever available in her office to help, will give you grades and not explain why she failed you, and wont answer your questions. You can literally sit in class and ask her a question and she will tell you to look it up instead of doing her job.

She does not care how you feel, at the end of the year she decides how much she likes you based upon if you show up to class and determines if she wants to bump you up to the next grade or not. This may seem nice but nobody in the class received an A. She grades super hard for someone that doesn't teach the class whats gonna be on the test.

Dr. Johnson was just too smart fro our class. She would blitz through stuff while we were all still stuck on the first thing she said and then she would have us do these difficult in class exercises we had no idea how to do. No one wanted to ask her questions because she, inadvertently I believe, acts like your stupid when you ask.

Simply do not take her. IK its a hard class to begin with, but she is an awful teacher. She knows what she's doing but can't convey it and goes way too fast. She's also very rude, especially if you ask a question she'll blatantly tell you you're stupid. She'll ask "any questions" and no matter what you ask she'll reply "read the textbook".
