Didn't like her. Found her difficult to deal with outside of class. Frequently cancels class for unknown reasons.She is interesting and entertaining, but DON'T get on her bad side.

Bad side? All I can attest to is lots of support. Of course, I was in class on time, took exams when scheduled, studied hard, and got an A. I didn't need a break from her. This is college, afterall. You're the best, Dr. LeMoyne!!

Loved this class - if I skipped all my classes this is one I would def. not skip, yes buy the book! You learn soo much, it's a discussion class, she's so smart, and so much fun!!! This is a must take even if it's an elective - she talks about making your marriage/all relationships happy.

She is a harsh grader. However, she is a wonderful lecturer. She actually lets students express their opinions and she insists you think for yourself, even if it means disagreeing with her. She is helpful and explains everything very well. I highly recommend her, if you don't mind putting in effort. She is very knowledgable about the subject

do not take this class if you are the least bit conservative when it comes to premarital sex; her solution to finding out whether you're in love involves lots of sex and living together to see if it works first; she's very interesting but I rarely agreed with her "so-called" facts.

Did the person below ever go to class? She constantly reinforced that those who live together have an increased chance of divorce and don't get married when you're in the initial "sex" phase because it wears off. She's a wonderful teacher and I loved her class.

One of the greatest professors you could ever have. Encourages independent thinking. Praises sparingly, but that just makes it mean all the more. Extremely interesting and fun. Knows her stuff, so don't BS a test, but put anything you think is relative to the subject because she loves to hear your thoughts. Talk in class!!! She loves dogs too. :)

She is extremely knowledgable and interesting. High participation in class. Attendance is not mandatory, but a huge help. Even if you're not super interested in the subject, she makes it interesting and fun. She's very funny.

love her. this is my first class with her but she is one of the funniest most knowledgable professors I have ever had, and i don't care for many. three tests, 15 questions from notes, 15 from text, and an essay from the notes. so you have to read the book to do well on tests, but its college. no project/paper. truly cares for her students.

I've taken her for Modern and Classic Social Theory and Family and she's fantastic. My favorite professor ever. She's difficult but lets you know what she expects and is a fair grader. Fun, intelligent, understanding, understandable, and brilliant.

she was a phenomenal woman. She's lighthearted, and great at getting your mind working and seeing both sides of situations. She doesn't take attendance, but missing class was almost disappointing because of the exciting topics we discussed. One of my favorites. : )

Dr. LeMoyne is one of my favorite professors at UTC. Her class is interesting, and I feel like I actually learned a lot from the class. Her tests are multiple choice and 1 essay question from the lecture. Attendance not mandatory, but she makes sure no one wants to miss a class. She's extremely helpful whenever you have questions. TAKE HER CLASS!!!

Probably one of the best professors at UTC! She is smart and helpful, the class is hard, but she really is willing to help you understand the class. Make sure you read and go to class even though attendance isnt mandatory you will miss a lot of information if you skip class!

This teacher is a wonderful outgoing person and very helpful.If you are into sociology type stuff take sociology of the family with this teacher.It is hard i will admit but if you are there and take good notes you will do just fine in her class.And make sure you read your book. You will need it more than you know.

This is my favorite class! She definitely knows what she's talking about and how to make it interesting. If you are in class, the notes are very clear and easy to study. You do have to read the book for tests, though. We have some of the best discussions in this class.

She is the boom dot com!!! Her class is very entertaining. She respects you and will help you pass ESPECIALLY if you speak out and participate in discussions! make sure you TALK and read the text. Random questions will be on the test from the book. Also be specific in your essays! TAKE HER CLASS!!! :)

This was one of the best classes i had ever taken at UTC. Classes discussions were great. I never wanted to miss class. Take this class if you can!! Its not a super easy class but its very fun!!

By far the best professor I have ever had! Her tests are not a cakewalk, but she wants you to do well and is always happy to help. She will challenge you, but you will leave her class feeling so accomplished. She truly cares for her students as well. :)

TAKE HER! She really knows what she's talking about. This class will challenge your way of thinking for the better. Helps you really think about life decisions and how the world works - Especially for women. Tests aren't TOO easy, but definitely manageable. This class is worth your time.

Excellent professor!!! One of the best I have had! Very hard class but she makes the lectures fun and easy. You must read to pass the class and the readings are hard to understand and very boring. Tests are all essay and contain specific questions from both the lectures and the readings. She really makes you think about what you are learning.

Great professor! Mandatory that you go to class to take notes from her lectures. Her lectures are separate from the book so you must read the power-points she puts on blackboard. Her tests are 30 multiple choice: 15 from lecture, 15 from power-points, and one essay questions from the lectures. Her class always kept me interested!

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! Dr. Lemoyne interests the class with short stories of cases seen in her field and her personality. Attendance is not mandatory, but she has discussion days when the class will discuss two or three different subcategories of a specific topic. Tests are on class notes and reading from the book. Participate and you will do great!

Great Professor! I would recommend her to anyone! She makes the class more of a discussion class, so you're not just sitting there listening to her talk. If you however are not a talker no problem! she does not call out on people! Tests are easy. A lot of the test is from the notes but you also have a good amount from the book.

Get to know her as a professor and show her that you care. If you actively engage in discussion in her class, she is an easy professor to understand. Her tests are online, but take good notes and read!

Lemoyne is so clear-cut: everything you need to do to make an A in the class is presented early on. Online quizzes every week, the answers were online so no book necessary. Discussions were a combination of book, but mainly opinionated. As long as you do the work, this is definitely an easy A. Also, drops the two lowest quiz grades.

she is one of my favorite teachers at utc, she is straight to the point. 3 exams, a few in class assignments. not only is it an easy class, but it has been the most interesting class i've taken at utc. her lectures are incredible, you can't help but blurting your opinion in them!!! TAKE HER!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. LeMoyne is amazing and by far my favorite professor that I have ever taken. You can tell she is passionate about the subject and her students. I took the online class and it was actually very interesting and my favorite class of the semester. She is willing to work with you if you are struggling. She saved my semester.

One of the best professors at UTC. I took her for Modern Theory, which is a difficult course, but she knows it so well and makes it understandable. I actually ended up liking the class. Unfortunately, this is Dr. LeMoyne's last year. As a sociology major, I'm really disappointed about that.

She's the greatest and really cares for her students. Mrs. LeMoyne gets to know her students on a deeper level and notices when someone is missing in class even though attendance isn't required. Very easy to follow. Wish she could teach all of my classes!

Super cool subject, and great teacher.

Dr. Lemoyne is a great professor to take for intro to sociology. There are weekly quizzes that you need to read the assigned chapter for. There are also semi-regular discussion boards. As long as you watch the video and post twice in the discussion board it's easy to get an A. There are no exams and she drops the lowest two quizzes.

I took her for both family and theory. Great Professor. She makes difficult material understandable. Her expectations are also clear. She wants you to do well and will help you if you ask. Unfortunately shes leaving.
