Ms. Siever is a very clear, non-confusing teacher.She grades homework randomly, but i think it only counts for 15-20% of your grade

Test are so what hard but study and it will be no problem. Do homework, easy B class.

Ms. Seiver was a good teacher. The class I took was only 50min 3 times a week, so it was harder to cover homework questions and still have time to go over new assignments. She really likes math, tho' and is a nice teacher.

she is willing to offer help if you need it, she's easy to talk to.

Ms. Seiver is one of the very best, most helpful teachers I've ever had. It my high school teachers had done a better job, she would have had an easier time with me. However, she was willing to do whatever it took to make sure I learned. Great teacher!

i failed the tasp math section which was stupid and was very bored in class so i just showed up on tset days and for the final. she should have dropped me but she knew i had no business being in a remidal class so she didn't care that i never came because i made A's on all of my tests.

challenging instructor. I cussed her at test time because her tests are difficult. Always at least one question that will really test your knowledge of material. When I got to calculus at u of h I was glad that she challenged me, as you are expected to have your trig mastered. Take her, study hard, learn, and know that you will need the knowledge.

Nice lady and very funny-she explains things well but it seems like she is trying to fit too much information in a short amount of time-her tests are challenging(and you dont get that much time to complete it) you need to study hard and do the homework. She did help me after class whenever i needed

I had previously taken MATH 0306 three times before I took Ms. Seiver's class. If the other so called professors I had taken had the same attitude about math as Ms. Seiver, this would not have been the case. She allow you to work problems the way that's easiest for you, not just the way she works them. Great teacher!! Thanks, Ms. Seiver!!

I HATE math! But I have no problem understanding math when she. If I have a question, she'll be sure i understand before moving on. She'll even meet you after school hours to help you study. Quizzes are your hmwk so DO IT and you'll pass. She doesnt cut slack, but she'll help you so much that slack isnt even needed. Take her in summer/mini courses

I took this professor for Trig and right now I have a B average. The course itself is hard, but you, as a student, have to put your effort, meaning that you have to do your homework and repeat,space,practice, because if not you will end up dropping the course. Yes, she is helpful. She even meets you at Barnes and Nobles every sunday for questions.

Many students have told me to take all the math courses at South, but this professor tries too hard, so that you the student can actually learn. Why waste the gas, when all you need to do is just practice a lot. The subject, itself, is hard. But you are the one that has to make it easy not the professor. She explains very well. And helps out a lot!

If your not good at Math, do not take the night class, too much in one night. The first test was pretty easy, but of course as things get complicated it gets harder. Ms. seiver actually makes the material clear for students that do not grasp it. She will do anything to help students, including staying late afterclass, have group meetings, study sessions, and 1 on 1 tutorials. You couldn't ask for a teacher more dedicated to the success of her students. And she has a great personality too

When class began, all the seats were full. By the drop date, there were 6 people left. She puts the toughest questions on the test. You better be really good at math already.

If you understand Algebra then the class will be easy. She gives daily quizzes(not everyday though)and they are over the homework. At the beggining of class she'll answer any questions from the previous homework you have. She also meets with the class on Sundays for extra review for the tests if you need it. Overall great teacher.

A little hard to follow, she moves fast. you need to know Algebra. She gives quizes from your homework, so DO YOUR HOMEWORK! She will help as much as she can, she offers group reviews outside of class. Hard teacher only because she expects you to know your stuff. SO, do your work !!!!!

I felt teacher was a little too condescending to some students, but whatever. She taught the material well and did all she could to help. As far as teaching goes she teaches well and if you do the ALL the homework assigned you will be able to pass with an A!It's been over 10 years since I even attempted Math and I made out with an A+.

Took her Spring 2010 and im a math person so i was disappointed on how she teached. I was able to read book on my own and get it but if your not a math person than prob have a hard time. She tries to be funny nut is NOT. Ok prof but not what i espected

I took her for finite and she was a good teacher. I really enjoyed her class overall. She was pretty funny and sarcastic at the same time. But as long as you do your HW and stay on top of things you will do fine in the course.

I took her for finite math and it wasn't THAT easy. You really have to do your homework since she gives out quizzes that come from your HW and one must study for her tests. She knows what she's talking about, knows her finite math very well, and she's sarcastic/funny. Don't expect an A in her if class you skip class and do not do HW.

Finite math is not an easy subject, but she mad it not so bad. Grades hw by giving quizzes where you copy the hw problems. She is a bit sarcastic but she does NOT put down students like some other reviews say. She even says the first day of class that she's sarcastic but when it comes to math, she doesn't play around. Overall, I enjoyed the class.

Absolutely extraordinary professor. Gives clear, straightforward examples. Does not go off topic, but does not bore you with too many details either. Tests are not tricky if you pay attention. If you are lost, she is more than willing to help.

I took this class online, and not seeing most of this stuff before, I still passed. Ms. Seiver is slow to grade, answers email with in a day. It's hard work, but, it's college, not 7th grade. The book didn't help much, but the MathLab did. She is a busy teacher with many classes. Good class to take.

I took Ms. Seiver for BusCALC. I loved her. Her sarcasm was right up my alley. She expects a LOT from students. Never miss a class, never skip homework and don't be afraid to ask questions. Sure she'll poke a little fun at you but she doesn't mean to be mean, it's all in good fun. It's hard, but doable.

Class is easy if you do your book homework, which will also be used for quizzes. She always encourages questions and her first language is sarcasm which is a good change from other teachers.

I had her for two different classes, and really liked her teaching style. She spends most of the class working problems. Her tests are fairly hard, and you must do homework. If you are already decent at math I recommend this teacher, but I noticed some of the other students were having a very hard time. She's not rude, but can be funny.

Gotta do homework in any math class to pass. Very helpful. Her reviews are the best. she goes out of her way to make sure theres a review and sometimes on the weekends too. She's funny and her class is fun to go to most of the time. Definitely would take her again and would recommend anyone looking for a good teacher to take any class she teaches.

She is a good teacher, you just have to do your part as a student. She is goofy and will pick on you if she learns your name. She helped me out, and is very straight forward with grades and assignments. Doesn't curve grades, but then again we get what we earn. Pay attention, TAKE NOTES, ask questions and ask to repeat. She does go fast sometimes.

She was great, if you struggle she will be sure to help you out if you need it. The book is a must, she assigned homework out of it then picked which problems she would grade, but would ask if anyone struggled with it before you turn it in. PAY ATTENTION she moves fast, ask if she will slow down for you. She is funny don't take comments to heart.

If you need to take industrial mathematics , PICK HER! By far the best teacher I've had since I started college in terms of covering material efficiently and having an absolute BLAST in the process.

Great Prof. She is very helpful and will stay long after office hours to help a student. Lots of homework because it was a 5 week class but homework was only 10 percent of the grade. Tests are to the point and simply worded for an easy test experience.

Awesome math professor!! Lectures are really helpful. She will stay longer than class time to make sure you understand the material. Make sure to attend to her class. Professor Seiver is simply a helpful person. Ask many questions as you can during lecture. Be prepared for a lot of homework!!

Great professor yet very challenging. she wont make it easy so get ready to work if your up to the challenge. i enjoyed her and learned so much from her tough teaching methods.

One of my favorite professors so far. Despite teaching such a difficult curriculum, she did everything in her power to make it manageable for the students. And even when I couldnt make it to class for a week, she stayed behind and helped me catch up. But do make sure you go to every lecture and do all the HW though, otherwise you wont do well.

She is sarcastically funny, which is something I enjoy. She explains the material very well and makes sure to stop for people to ask questions. She even verbally asks if everyone is understanding. Takes time out of her own to help if you need it. Piece of advice, don't take her if you get offended easily.

She is very clear on assignment dates and what is expected. She gives reasonable amount of hw, some are longer than others. Her tests are not that hard if you go over the reviews, the reviews match the test. To some people she may come off as blunt or rude but she really isn't. She responds to emails pretty quickly. Overall, great professor.

Great teaching methods, will stop and ask if any one has questions and pauses before moving on. I encourage asking questions, do all your homework and take notes. This will help you a lot in the long run. She responds to emails in a reasonable amount of time. Don't forget there is free tutoring available as well, use it.
