she is great! funny, nice, pretty, smart. She looks 12 but knows what she is talking about. Take class with her you will love it

I loved this class, and the teacher was GREAT!!! Its not a blow off class, but you really love coming to class. I enjoyed this class so much that I signed up for this prof. again even though I don't really need the class. She teaches clear, and makes it clear. I would take this teacher!!!!!

Professor Towner is a good professor because she makes the course seem pretty easy. She's very funny. She talks really fast so, it's pretty hard to keep up with what she's saying. She's a good professor!

prof towner made this class really interesting and fun. her exams are a little rough but she basically tells you what is on it. there was a mid-term/final then 10 quizzes. she is young, not boring, and makes the material easier then what it is. she is willing to help or repeat stuff she said and cares that her students do well!

She is really cool, always helpful and very organized. Everything is on moodle, notes are clear, tests and quizes from the book and posts grades right away. I loved her class, she's funny too.I'd take her class again.

She's really nice and she is really into her subject. The tests are pretty specific in my opinion, but she does tell you what to expect on the exam. She talks REALLY fast so good luck keeping up! She'll repeat it if you ask. I'd take her again if the opportunity arised.

Dr. Towner was very engaged with her class and her subject. She cracked many jokes, yet she was able to keep the class on track. She uses powerpoint and posts the notes online. Show up, take notes, and review for the exams and expect to do well. You'll only want your book for the online, non-timed quizes. The answers are word for word.

Her slides aren't enough to get high grades on her exams. Listening to her lectures is not enough either. You actually have to read beyond the highlighted bold topics on her slides to get higher grades on exams. The exams have substantive questions with trick wording and extra politcal verbage that if you don't read, you just won't do well overall.

she is the best PS prof i had so far and i've taken lots of ps classes. i've had her for ps100 and ps303. the grading is pretty straight forward. the project are ok but she really explains them in lab. don't miss the labs!!! thats where ur grade really comes from. i would definetly take her again!

Love this teacher, AMAZING, straight to the point, loves talking about politics, plays devil advict well. Pay attention because she will hint test questions. Record the class and guaranteed A. 5 questions, she drops one, 2 exams which are to the point. Can't go wrong

She is an amazing professor! If I was going in the PS I would take her again! She loves her job and is very funny! I barley had to study for the tests because I attended every class. She sometimes gives you information that is not in the book for tests. Quizes are straight from the book. TAKE HER! =)

Everyone should take Professor Towner if they have the chance. Granted, her exams are kind of difficult, but if you study the material and read the books you will do fine. She is a very easy going teacher and will give the class a little leway with mostly everything. Took 3 classes with her and wish i could take more.

Prof. Towner is so refreshing to the polisci department. She gives new life to politics. You have to go to class and put work into it in order to get a good grade. 4-6 quizzes thru out semester and 2 tests. Study/listen and you will do fine! She does not take crap from students you do not care about the material. Not a blow off course.

She is a great teacher, however though, for the PS 303 class, I would suggest not taking it with her. She is a blast and a great, helpful teacher, but grades extremely strict on the homework, some stuff of which Ive had looked at by other professors and have said the grading was very harsh for being a difficult class, especially on homework grades

PS 303 is a hard course, but Towner makes it fun. If you put the effort into the homework, you can get a good grade. The lab sessions are important, so don't skip!

Towner is awesome! PS 303 is a tough class but she makes it very fun! She is very helpful and flexible with office hours. I definitely recommend her, but don't skip class because you will fall behind, there's a lot of info in the class.

This is a hard class, but if you have to take the class, take it with Towner! You must attend class all the time, that is the only way you will learn and do well in her class. HW is 50% of your grade, it is very difficult but she is there to help you if you need it. I started off class thinking I would not do too well but i ended up with a 3.7!

TAKE TOWNER! She is amazing. Class consists of 3 exams, 5 online quizzes. Day before the exam, she tells you all the concepts you need to know. Attendance not mandatory, but show up. She's hilarious and knows her ish. She makes politics fun to learn about. Book not necessary for the class,only for online quizzes. She isn't bad on the eyes, either.

Class is composed of 5 quizzes (each worth 10 points), and 3 exams (each worth 50 points). Quiz answers are found right out of the book 90% of the time. Show up to class, take good notes, and you should be just fine! Towner makes politics super fun, and she's always willing to answer questions! Posts grades 2 hours after exams are taken = AWESOME!

Do the work, take notes, ask questions and pay attention and you will be fine. She is funny and nice. If you do the work and study for the exams you're golden. I got a 3.8 :) I liked her and I will try to take another class with her.

Towner is a great professor. She's funny and works really hard to make her lectures interesting (and succeeds). Attendance isn't mandatory, but she'll sometimes throw questions onto the quizzes that were only covered in the lectures and aren't in the book. Overall, her class was great. I only went about half the time and still ended up with a 3.8.

I love politics, and prof Towner is probably the best politics prof at ou. Her tests however, are difficult. i cant tell you how many times she gave us a question for which all four answers are right, but you had to pick the one that was the best. There is no partial credit for a good answer so long as its not the best one, but its poly sci so...

She is fantastic. Really passionate. She tells a lot of jokes and keeps you interested and entertained during class. all of her answers are in the book and TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE QUIZZES ON THE BOOK WEBSITE. they are great study tools for her quizzes and chapter exams

Towner is a very cool professor! She is very helpful if you need any help! READ THE BOOK! Quiz questions right from it and also exam questions! She is funny and relates the subject to current events! I LOVE TOWNER!!!

Towner is so awesome! This course is DIFFICULT, and she does not curve. What you get is what you get. If you stop focusing on getting a 4.0 and simply go to class, it's very enjoyable and you learn a ton. Attendance is mandatory. She is very helpful w/office hours. Came out of this class much more pumped about research. Her night class is a hoot!

Towner is very nice and super funny and uses hip/modern examples to help explain the material. Her tests and quizzes however are nearly impossible to do well on no matter how hard you study. Her test/quiz questions felt like a 400 level class instead of a 100 level class due to their confusing nature and extensive use of fancy technical terms.

All quizzes and exams are on Moodle. Great professor, made class easy and fun.

She is a funny professor! The only thing is all she does is lecture. Its too much in soo little time and her exams are confusing, but her quizzes are all from the book, at least most of them were. She is very entertaining and if you have background knowledge on the subject, take her! If not.. I would not recommend her.

Loved Prof Towner! She made the lectures so much fun and tried to involve the whole class. I hate anything to do with politics but I considered doing PS for my exploratory credits just because of her. I would highly recommend her to anybody. Wonderful prof! Outgoing, loud, funny, likes to show she can be "one of the kids." Personable & has good stories. Very knowledgeable & passionate about political science. Important info is sometimes given only in lectures. TAKE THE PRACTICE QUIZZES BY SCANNING THE BARCODE IN THE BOOK FOR EACH CHAPTER; many test questions are directly from those.

Great professor. Exams were a little more difficult than anticipated but she's generous when it comes to grading.

Prof Towner is awesome! She's funny, knowledgable, and you will learn if you show up to class. All of her exams are online and timed, and they are not easy, but printing out the powerpoints and taking additional notes in class is helpful so that you know the material. Take her for political science, you won't regret it!

I've had several classes with Towner and would take so many more. She is one of the most fun profs I've ever had, definitely the most fun PS prof. People who think her class is hard must not have tried. We hardly had any out of class assignments and only a couple exams. She will call on you in class, but keeps it light if you don't know the answer.

Towner is great. She's very organized and accessible. There's a lot of reading, but the actual graded forums and quizzes aren't hard at all. It's interesting content.

LOVED Towner. The class was incredibly boring for me (upperclass polisci student who ended up in intro because of a double major) but Prof Towner made things fun and had a great sense of humor. Also, all the quizzes and exams were online so they were super easy.

If you're taking a PoliSci class and she's an option pick her! SHE ACTUALLY HELPS YOU WHEN YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SOMETHING, AND SHE MAKES IT A PRIORITY TO BE AVAILABLE ON MANY PLATFORMS! HER LECTURES ARE HILARIOUS AND ENGAGING, YOU WILL WANT TO PARTICIPATE!!! Also if you miss a class be sure to get any missed work, just ask she'll give it to you.

Prof. Towner is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She is a great teacher, and she really makes class enjoyable to be in. Tests and quizzes are all online, and they are pretty easy. Only issue with them is that some of the material is from the textbook (see the online quizzes), which she never specifies reading for.

Professor Towner was an amazing professor. I had her for an online course; and I have to say she clearly explained the material. She cares about her students and responds to emails giving better explanations on concepts if need be. She did not make her own personal political views known and did not show any bias in her teaching. I highly recommend

If you put in the work, you'll get an A. If you're taking her online course, be sure to watch the videos. Her tests are based of them. I highly recommend taking the PS Capstone with her. She is very helpful, and she makes the course stress free. She literally walks through the assignments with you. She is amazing, take any course you can with her!

I have had the pleasure of taking a couple classes with Professor Towner. She is hands down the best! Not only is she super hilarious, her capstone was actually fun from start to finish. Her passion for politics and teaching is so inspiring. She actually truly cares about her students. Take her capstone! You will not regret it!

Professor Towner is the best professor I've ever had at OU, would highly recommend. PS 3235 is a very fun class. All of the course material is available online and you do not have to purchase any textbooks for this class. Grade is based on a mix of assignments including quizzes, exams, one presentation, two short essays.

You're. Gonna. Read. But it's well worth it. Towner is a great resource, she has incredible insight and is available to guide you if you have a question (even if it's in another course). She is well versed in many elements of poli sci. She is also willing to hear you out if you need to bring a request for exception to her. Don't be afraid to ask!

Towner is the best! She can be tough, but she is going to make you want to go to class! She does hybrid classes (in class tuesdays and online thursdays). She is so intelligent, passionate, and hilarious. I take her any chance I can get, you should too! If you listen to her video lectures and take good notes, you will be set.

Professor Towner is a great professor. Very simple intro to political science class. Pretty much just watch the lectures and take a short quiz every week. The Final was easy and straightforward. I would take her again if I could.

I love professor Towner! She is so sweet and kind. This class was heavy when it comes to being online and having to edit audio and make a podcast episode. But she explained the guidelines clearly, it was not difficult in the end. Our podcast was the final and I had fun making it. She's also super funny and flexible with extensions! Loved the class!

Professor Towner was the easiest professor that I had my first year. I could not have asked for an easier class and a better Professor. The class consists of 1-2 lectures a week, as well as 1 quiz per week that is untimed. There is also 4 exams all of which are 50 questions. Highly recommend Professor Towner.

Good professor, but she wasn't super clear on things that did count for a grade. I definitely felt like I had to ask a lot of questions to figure out exactly what she was grading. Overall, the class was fun and she wasn't an hard grader. Just one or two instances where we weren't aware something counted for a grade.

I can tell that she loves what she does, however, When it came to taking the quiz after every class I was unable to recall what we had just talked about. The way she explains the topics during lecture and then the way it is worded in the quizzes do not connect.

Replies instantly to emails with very detailed instructions which is a FANTASTIC characteristic in a professor. Very easygoing, so if you're needing to take her for gen ed, do it. If you're taking her for your major, even better. Bottom line, just take her. Her lectures are hilarious too, keeps you engaged.
